nice hotel in nice town. Good for Paris on the train. Meals looked good but restaurant was full on night we stayed. Good bistros in town Rooms a bit tired.
good location - en route back to England/ near Monet's garden comfortable clean room reasonable price no tea/coffee making facilities in room breakfast a bit minimal
city center location very average. not qualifying for a 3-star rated hotel.
Restaurant was good, Parking was available on the public car park outside the hotel so no need to pay for parking. Good location in the centre of the town. Easy access to Monets garden at Giverny. sounds silly but the front doors were stiff and a bit difficult to get in with your bags.
fair size room. elevator. tv. ventiladed with windows including in the bathroom. beautiful dining room and garden, very good breakfast. secured parking if reserved. no
good hotel in centre of vernon town close to giverny
A good base for exploring nearby Giverney a few miles away. here are ample restaurants and shops within a few blocks of the hotel, and a lovely park along the Seine. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we got what we expected. Try the adjoining restaurant, which was excellent! No air conditioning or fan, though it was not hot during our June stay. Also, no refrigerator or coffee in the room. And if you can get street parking, opt for that because getting out of the narrow parking garage exit can be quite difficult, and I wouldn't want to try it in a large vehicle!
Stayed here for one night so we could visit Giverny. Room for 3 was good size and very comfortable. Liked the separate WC apart from shower room, as this was very convenient for three people. Wish it were closer to train station, but only a 15 minute walk.
Lovely location, gorgeous setting, wifi included, blissfully comfortable bed Rooms could have used another light; a bit dim at night
The position and setting of the hotel and it's unique style. The quality and presentation of the food. The Coumtryside room that we occupied lacked light and would have benifitted by an additional cieling mounted lamp.
Wonderful location overlooking the Seine.Food was excellent if a little expensive Rooms were very nice but suffer from the aesthetic approach rather than practical-no curtain or separation for the shower in the bathroom so water goes everywhere-but it looks good!
Excellent nouvelle cuisine Room very low head height & cramped
Proximity to Giverny enabling a long visit to Monet`s house ,garden and museum with a very pleasant lunch. General feeling of poor management supervision - perhaps we timed our visit badly!!!
We were the first reservation that this hotel had received via Booking.com and they thoroughly spoilt us. The gourmet meal was superb and the service impeccable. Ours is the first review of this hotel and we recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a little bit of luxury by the Seine.
The food was superb Our room was very dark and it was located in the 'attic' with very low ceilings, hence we suffered from back ache from bending
Fantastic location, rather quirky Expensive Champagne breakfast
Gorgeous view on the Seine, nice room and an excellent restaurant, all at very affordable prices.
Excellent position, with views over Seine, from room (side view) and restaurant. Good parking, right in front of hotel. Booked a garden room, which is admittedly the economy room, but very dissapointing. Did not look at all like picture on website. Attic room with little headroom, too dark - not enough lights and deep purple decor made it worse. Couldn't see to read properly. No bath, we were not asked if we wanted one, and prospectus did not say there wasn't one. Dinner 22euro choice looked good but starters were poor - miniscule piece of fish 3 inches x 1 inch, and what was the tasteless egg floating in a sea of liquid? Maincourse good, but no vegetables whatsoever. Headwaiter's initial approach rather brash and superior.
A strategic place for family with easy transportation. Quite and nice.
Staff was very helpfull and corteus. No bad points.
Relaxing atmoshpere, clean with friendly staff Hard to find the recieption
Very frienly employees and good welcome at the desk. No hotel-parking, very poor and small room, terrible bed with a very thin mattress which caused pain in my body, the food was poor and untasty.
Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff, with easy access to local amenities
Clean, staff were wonderful. Lack of amenities... Broken equipment
Very helpful staff. They speak English well. Good location of the hotel in the centre of Cergy, not far from RER. The rooms are small, also the bathroom was very small. The room could be also cleaner. It was however ok for one night.
The price The noice from the hallway, and that it was allowed to smoke /not smoke in the same floor. That means not separate smoking/non smoking floors.
My initial reservation had wrong date's and I changed it on line, but they would not honor my changed reservation. other thing was, I booked Triple Room - 3 single beds and got 2 single bed for family of 2 adult with 2 young kids???? it's service and Mangagement
Location close to the highway, easy to find. Quiet place. Nice tv. The staff at the reception was ok. I had higher expectations. Our room was small and very simple with a dirty appearance. Amazing but ugly design of corridors. No power point available in our room.
Very helpful staff. It was cheap and clean - just 90 Euros for 2 nights - but you get what you pay for - see below. The hotel and room were very basic. The room was tiny - not much larger than the double bed with a single overhead bunk across the width of the room. More like a hostel than a hotel. There was no kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee, just a pay drinks machine in the lobby. The area seemed fairly rough and we were worried about the car overnight. There was a small off street unsecured car park which turned out to be ok. Note that some of this chain (Premiere Classe) don't have car parks. We swapped our booking after discovering that our original choice only had on street parking. We weren't really happy about leaving all our holiday gear in the room or the car which might not have worried us elsewhere.
Proximity to transport connections Poor welcome on arrival - quite disinterested
Generally everything was good
Private parking, nice breakfast n/a
clean and modern, handy for the station, expensive breakfast, picked hotel as advert showed nice pool ! packed my trunks disappointed to find no water in pool !
The price was good and the staff were all really nice. There are not any real amenities. This Novotel does not include breakfast.
Food was good, rooms were clean and the ambience was appropriate for the business meetings.
location and great service I couldnt switch off the air conditioner
you get what you pay for.
staff very friendly Shame there were no leisure facilities ie pool or gym
Hotel reception staff were very helpful.
All the Staff on the reception desk, day and night were extremely helpful. They helped with several enquiries I had about travel and transport etc Even though it is quite a large hotel, the friendliness of the staff gave the hotel a warm and personal feel to it.
Staff went out of their way to be helpful. They were also exceptionally friendly. Furniture were very uncomfortable and the room small.
very good ratio comfort/price
Very friendly staff. Good in English! The view from my room on utilities
Hotel staff where efficient and very helpful.
Overall hotel was clean and fresh looking, rooms were very clean with good state of decor. Campanile Epone had no real Bad points Campanile Beauvais, however, was worst hotel experience i've had, dirty rooms, overall shoddy appearance
Poor food selection, and impoliteness of staff. I have stayed at Campanile hotels before and my stay was pleasant. That is why I chose to stay here again but I must say that my experience at this particular location was subpar.
Very close to the motorway and the buffet was amazing!
friendly staff, modern design of rooms, free parking and free use of wifi. Good to provide electronic kettle with plastic cups and coffee and tea. it's more like a overpriced B&B. The outlook of the hotel is more like a warehouse. The room is extremely small despites its out-of-the-way location. Stain marks on bath curtain and bedsheet. Noise from the main road.
Close to motorway Restaraunt was very bad service and food not a good standard
The location was great. I did not like the fact that the gates close at 9.30pm and you have to be in the hotel. This does not allow you to eat out and be back in time without cutting your evening short. This is deliberate and is intended to make you eat and drink at the hotel which is expensive. Our evening visiting friends was cut short and spoilt by this. Before staying at this hotel check if this curfew is still in place.
We liked the gardens and the setting as well as the history of the buildings The dining room is also the swimming pool and i did not like the smell of chlorine with my dinner.
The room rate was good given the standard of accommodation. I am not used to having a shower cubicle/handbasin actually in the bedroom (ie not in a seperate room off the bedroom). The bed was small. The restuarant v.expensive with a 125 ml glass of white wine costing 12 euros. The gates were locked at 11.00 pm and you could not get access after this time. The reception didn't open and gates were not unlocked. until 9.00 am. To advertise a spa is stretching the imagination. The small pool is in the resturant and can only be used 9.00am -11.00am and 3,00 - 5.00 pm and also not on Sundays or holidays!
Excellent facilities, beautiful setting and building. Poolside restaurant was excellent, we had no problems witht the smell of chlorine. Eating in the hotel is very expensive, but well worth the experience. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds are well kept and good parking. Staff are very attentive to detail. The room was in the annexe, and was far too small , some seating outside of the annexe would be appreciated. Check the cost of the evening meal before booking, as you cannot enter or leave the grounds after 9:00 pm. So you need to be committed to eating in the hotel, which is fine for one night, but would be very expensive for longer. You are not allowed to bring any food or drinks in to the hotel. There is nothing to see or do in the village, it is run down.
The hotel was a beautiful chateau setting along a river. Checkin was good with our luggage being picked up with a golf cart and transported to the appropriate building. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was good. We originally thought the setting around the pool was a bit strange, but it was nice in the end. There was a concerted effort to help with the language issue since we speak very little French. Everyone was frriendly and tried their best to make us comfortable. We had a standard room and the shower was not a separate room-glass enclosed and visible. The security system was a bit overwhelming-had to arrive and depart on a timetable and no leaving your room after midnight or an alarm would be set off. Not a real problem; it was made a point of several times.
The setting, ie. The Gardens. The Restraunt was excellent. Seeing the Hotel was virtually empty, it was a shame our room was in an annexe on the second floor. A little generosity on the room, seeing how expensive the restraunt was would have been appreciated.
The Chateau was lovely, beautiful surroundings and impressive building. |The staff, who I think were family, were all very friendly and accommodating. Our daughter and granddaughter had a superior room and it was spacious and clean. Ours was a standard and it was clean and the beds comfortable. The adult breakfasts were delicious and served in a very pleasant conservatory. When we booked the web site did not process the booking very quickly ( more that 30 min ) so we re booked thinking the booking had not gone through, it had! Cancelling the second booking was done efficently the following day but the resopnse from the web site needs to be quicker. Also when we booked it stated that there was a restraunt, having booked we got an e-mail saying that it was closed on the night we stayed. Not good when you are travelling with a 2 1/2 year old. We booked 4 breakfasts and there was no breakfast, adult or child, served to my granddaughter. I had to ask for milk for her to drink, she actually ate from our breakfasts. Our bathroom was shabby with a very limescaled shower but it worked and there was enough hot water and clean towels.
Occupation was good. In the past I stayed there and the hotel was very empty.
Location Resturant was closed and breakfast was disappointing
I like the oldy worldy feel of it... I was expecting a more up market hotel but really enjoyed the old feel of this hotel... The meals where rather expensive and none of the staff could speak English... but they where all very friendly and helpful....
The Chateau was magnificent as were all the internal oak features. The restaurant was outstanding, and good value for money, with excellent cuisine. The setting was perfect and we were disappointed it was too cold to use the swimming pool. We look forward to our next visit when large open fires will be burning in the winter. The room decor was a little tired with a few water stains on the ceiling
The beauty of the place, both inside and outside of the hotel.
The food, the service, relaxed. Our room was rather basic, dark and cramped. No tea/coffee making facilitities. No lounge area.
Lack of power from 7.30 in the mormning. Was not re-established when I left at 8.10
The hotel was good for a 2 star rating as I tend to try 3 stars and above subject to availability! Nothing really apart from maybe closing down at 10pm in the evening!
Adequate Parking area scruffy and dogs barking all night left in car outside. Walls are paper thin between rooms you can hear a light switch being turned on and off.
No wireless connection in the room.
The hotel had a good place to take breakfast The staff was not polite at all and the towels felt like dirty
