Pros: Nice location, modern facilities, excellent kitchen equipment, good island bar.
Cons: No internet, cash payment.
Pros: Comfortable and well appointed chalet in a fantastic location beside the river
Pros: Everything! Outstanding, amazing place. Very friendly owner and staff! Wished we could have stayed longer. Our stay at Mobola Lodge exceeded our expectations!
Pros: Owners, staff, location and facilities are great. We stayed in a bungalow but the campground is one of the best all-round ones I have seen anywhere in the world.
Pros: Situation next to the river. The island bar. Helpful and friendly staff.
Pros: Lovely house, lot’s of room, good terrace, will outfitted kitchen. Good evening boat trip on the Okavango river, for a reasonable price.
Cons: Wifi only in the evening at the island bar (500m walk).
Pros: Everthing was just perfect! The best lodge we have stayed during our trip in Namibia. The staff and owners were really kind and helpful. We could even buy Zebra meat for a BBQ dinner. Also the offered sunset boat trip on the Okavango river and the island walk with a local guide was very interesting. The lodge is in the Nature, so there are a lot of animals to discover. Very calm and relaxing-Definetly worth staying here... the breakfast was just perfect too!
Pros: Lovely decoration, specially the showers. Hot water with good water pressure. The bar had a great view to the river. The hostess was friendly and very funny.
Cons: Some big spiders, probably due to the type of ceiling (wheaten straw?).
Pros: Chalets were perfectly designed and equipped; self-catering on a luxurious level; view from island bar was magic;
Cons: Material of bedding as it did not absorb sweat (synthetic fiber?); lack of credit card facilities (which might prevent visitors from consuming more ;)
Pros: This is really, what they call, paradise!! The cottages are lovely, cosy and clean. The breakfast is nice, with a stunning view on your private terrace. But there are absolutely no words to discribe the beauty of the bar. The view is amazing and setting makes it even better! The owner and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with our car and they were very great with their help! Definitely a place to visit!
Located in Divundu, Divava Okavango Resort & Spa is on a river, a 1-minute drive from Popa Falls and 8 minutes from Divundu Bridge. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Divava is beautiful. We had a wonderful safari boat ride down Okavango River. Saw loads of hippo and even a river otter. Ended at Popo Falls where our boat captain set up a table of snacks with a bottle of wine for us. Such a lovely day.
Cons: We liked everything.
Pros: Breakfast was Super. Dinner was excellent. Some of the best prepared meat dishes ever and mostly game meat. Wonderful
Cons: Boat Cruise should be in the mornings also as the return trip puts you facing the sun in the west'
Pros: The outside shower. The evening meals.
When you stay at Ndhovu Safari Lodge - Campground in Mahango, you'll be on a river and within a 5-minute drive of Mahango Game Reserve. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Sit directly on the Okowango and watch the Hippos. :-)
Pros: Lodge has potential, however the German owners gave it a own twist and have there own view on hospitality.
Cons: Riverview is blocked by leaves, could be easily sorted. More disturbing was the mandatory diner together at 19.30 sharp. Guests are forced to sit at one table where it becomes awkward when you're the only non-German speaking couple. Buffet dinner was on 2 evenings not sufficient, little choice, and Breakfast is poor. Breakfast not before 7.30 and if booked with the hotel, "morning" gamedrive at 11.00. Bit strange being next to 2 game reserves. You better go on your own, it's easy. Seems the 2 German managers do not fully understand the business. You can't force customers in a concept.
Cons: The bath should be renovated
Pros: Organised very well and lots of information on things to do or just relax and watch and hear the hippos. Good location!
Pros: The lodge is located in front of the river, in a very beautiful and peaceful location. The tent was big enough and the bathroom was good too, both clean and comfortable. The dinner / breakfast room is very beautiful, african style. Food was very good. The guide (Beni) and his girlfriend were very kind, they made our stay very pleasant. The boat trip with the guide was very interesting, we got to see so many animals (hippos, elephants, warhogs, birds, snakes, etc.) and we saw a perfect sunset (they provided free drinks and snacks which was very kind), the boat trip with Beni was just perfect.
Cons: The lodge is extremely expensive for what it offers. It is a beautiful place, but not more beautiful than many other places we stayed in Namibia (and Botswana) for a much lower price. We wanted to do the Buffalo game drive which we had been told it was much better (in terms of animal spotting) than the Mahango game drive. We arranged the Buffalo game drive and the same morning we were supposed to do it the owner told us it wouldn't be possible because the guide had to take the staff to town (not very customer focused) and that instead we could do the Mahango game drive (shorter that the Buffalo). The truth is that we barely saw any animals in the Mahango game drive (even though the kind guide did his best and explained interesting things to us to make the drive worthy, which actually was but because of his company). Probably the few animal spotting was only bad luck, but we didn't really like the explanation neither the manners in general of the owner. Be prepared for having dinner and breakfast with the other clients of the lodge, which was not a problem for us, but you will have to listen to the owner all the time, as he likes to make everybody notice he is the boss.
Cons: place is falling apart..rooms dirty ,no coffee.kettles dirty..this place has potential but needs maintenance urgently..the price is too high for what is offered.Food was good
Pros: Excellent location on Kavango River with possibility to observe Hippos , Elefants, ... on the other sides de of the river or in the river. Very good boat tour of the Londge
Located in Divundu, Divundu Guest House is on a river, within a 15-minute drive of Divundu Bridge and Andara Mission. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Scrambled eggs were cold!
Cons: Cold milk for cereal.
Pros: It was quiet and out of the town. There was plenty of hot water for showering
Cons: Unfortunately it was noisy through the night due to dogs barking, roosters crowing&the noise of trucks on the main road carried to the chalet.
Pros: Basic, but a good value for money place to stop over. Unfortunately the fridge didn't work which would have saved a few items of food and frozen the ice blocks for the onward journey.
Pros: Lady on the reception was awesome helpful. She helped us organize a canoe trip to Okavango.
Pros: solid place. family place for people who like organized traveling. for us was a decent place to stay over along the main road.
Pros: Good cheap stop over between Etosha and Kasane in Botswana. Ample, reliable and fairly fast WiFi.
Cons: There was a sense that the security wasn’t that great.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Everything takes very long. Waited 2hrs for dinner
Pros: Breakfast was ok and the staffs were friendly.
Cons: The guest house doesn't look good as you approach its main gate from outside but it is good inside.
Pros: IT WAS FINE BUT NEXT TIME THEY SHOULD PROVIDE AT LEAST A FRUIT TO BALANCE THE DIET
Cons: WE RUN OUT OF WATER AND THE WIFI PASSWORD WAS CHANGED WITHOUT US BEING NOTIFIED AND ALSO THE WERE NO BINS OUTSIDE AND AT THE KITCHEN AREA
Pros: Aircon was great
