Pros: The owner. He was very welcoming, and made it seem that nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very good, plentiful and varied, a pleasant surprise for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great accommodation, warm, clean and in the centre of the city. Walking distance from the Camille Claudel Museum and other important sights!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious, calm, decorated with taste, cultural references that make the difference, 5* breakfast with the best coffee we've had in a French hotel, convenient, a super nice owner and v good value for money.
Cons: Nothing really - it was above expectations at any level!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room is spacious, bright and comfy. Has parking on site. M. Couturier is a great host, warm and very helpful. Nogent sur Seine is a good base to explore sights around Paris.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, large comfy bed, great breakfast with pain au chocolat and more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very small hotel, but very charming. It was the second time, we spent a night there and likely we will do it with plaisure again :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On arrival my husband thought I had brought us t the wrong place as it is a property that fronts the street and at the time there were lots of road repairs in place outside.....and then the door opened! David greeted us at the door, enthusiastically and really friendly. The apartment was lovely, slightly quirky and brightly decorated, but with sofas to sit on, hot drink making facilities and a very comfy bedroom. The property is dog friendly and dogs are definitely welcome. David checked whether we needed recommendations for local restaurants, but we had already eaten. Lovely little touches, such as shower gel, soap etc in bottles rather than generic sachets. On arrival we were asked what type of bread we wanted for breakfast so croissant and pain raisin were waiting for us in the morning and going down to breakfast we were greeted again by David who ensured we had everything we wanted, and knew how to help ourselves to more coffee. He then left us to it but returned to make sure there was nothing more we wanted.
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like, this was a fantastic place to stay.
10.0 Excellent

Le Clos des Cordeliers - Sézanne - Building
2
9.7 Excellent (133 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for the first time in June of last year on our way South, and absolutely loved it. We returned in July this year on our way back North, and found this gem to be even better. The garden is superb, with a wonderful variety of trees, and so peaceful. The accommodation is comfortable and well appointed, and was cool in the exceptionally hot weather. Daniel was as charming and welcoming as before. We were sorry to miss meeting Christina again, however! Once more, the breakfast was superb. This is a gem of a place, a real treasure.
Cons: A note for other travellers. We dined again in “ Mezzanine “ as it had been so good last year. The food itself was as good as we remembered, and we enjoyed it when we eventually received it. But the service was appalling, not only extremely slow but also so offhand as to be close to offensive! And it was not just us because we were foreign or British. The two young women on duty were overworked and plainly resented being there at all! We booked for and arrived at 8.00 p.m.. Our order and request for preliminary drinks was not taken until 8.40p.m.! So beware! This, of course, is nothing to do with Daniel or Le Clos des Cordeliers, which as we say above, is superb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable room, very kind owner, beautiful garden and animals, everything was great. Thank you!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb, we could walk into town and driving to other places locally was easy. The patron Daniel was a mine of information and, although his English was as weak as our French, we used our phones to translate, which worked really well. The room, breakfast, advice and facilities were all outstanding.
Cons: I struggle to find anything for this section. To be really picky, perhaps the only thing was the unfortunate lip in the drive as you drive off the road. This caught the underside of the car. Having said that, Daniel provided wooden planks to resolve the problem. Such a nice gentleman!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and comfy. The host are lovely and helpful, the breakfast is excellent and the garden is outstanding. Private parking. We highly recommend this beautiful place! Couldn’t wish anything more.
Cons: We just loved everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in the Champagne region. The accommodation is very comfortable in a beautiful setting with secure parking. Christina and Daniel are perfect hosts and made us very welcome. Delicious breakfast. Lovely property with plenty of space, only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Sezanne.
10.0 Excellent

Le Château de Mon Père - Sézanne - Building

9.3 Excellent (126 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magical place. Great attention to detail.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Calm, peaceful, lovely dog. Greeted by daughter - she spoke English so well. Bed comfy all clean and was able to microwave a meal I had prepared day before so we didn’t have to find an eatery. Shower good and hot, cool refreshing breeze and so quiet. Breakfast lovely
Cons: If I have to find a negative it would just be maybe handwash as only 2 sachets of shower gel but we managed to save some for hand washing, and a hand towel would have been great, but these would not prevent us from returning
8.8 Excellent
Pros: What a gem! Beautiful old Château in lovely grounds would definitely recommend.
Cons: Lack of nearby restaurants
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay, made very welcome by the owners. Rooms very clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous stay at Chateau de mon Pere. The place is a synonym for tranquility, especially if you ask for a bottle of champagne from the host's cooperative. The building and rooms are so full of character you can hardly find anything better. Well done for renovating such a beautiful chateau. Highly recommended for a nice visit to Champagne and daily trips to the surrounding vineyards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quiet country environment.
Cons: Nowhere to hang clothes. No soap. Shared kitchen not clean - with ants.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money for a castle in the countryside with nice Bath, Bed and atmosphere. Lovely wooden Bridge crossing by car.
Cons: It is more a B&B than a Hotel so, obviously do not expect hotel services (No TV etc) not a problem for me but people should be aware before. Nearest town is a good 10 min drive also. Those negative points would be negative if the room was charged 80+€ a night. But for this price, it is really fair :)

Pros: The new owners have continued the high standards set by the previous ones. Rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfast was plentiful and of a very good quality. The addition of kettles and tea /coffee facilities in each room is very welcome.
Cons: Sadly the restaurant is closed on Wednesday and Thursday nights so we didn't get chance to sample the evening meal but we hope to in the future.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully located on the banks of the Seine just a 10 minute stroll to the town centre. Marie the owner could not have been more helpful particularly as my wife was feeling unwell.
Cons: Everything we experienced in Nogent was great but was sad not that there was not enough time to be able to visit the excellent new Camille Claudel muséum so we will return .

6.7 Good
Pros: Location..
Cons: Room was too hot - no aif conditioning just a fan
7.5 Good
Pros: Certainly a serviceable, smaller-budget stop when avoiding Paris by a wide(r) margin. The town is intriguing enough to linger about for an hour or have an atmospheric evening walk through, but the cooling towers of the nearby nuclear drastically disrupt the picturesque surroundings.
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked the free and easy parking, the welcoming dish of apples, the deeply relaxing hot bath and the attached restaurant (independently run) which did a very good Vietnamese salad. The room was clean and quiet, overlooking the pool, and at 73 euro I considered it good value.
9.2 Excellent

Cons: Bathroom smell
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The service was friendly. It fit our needs perfectly, we were passing through town and needed a place to sleep.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about when we consider the price, except that the breakfast was expensive. We somehow ended up paying 12 euros / breakfast which we found high for a budget hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was good value for money, there was plenty of free parking right outside and the young lady on reception was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: It was a bit far from town if you like to stroll round and have a choice of local restaurants. There was however a fast food restaurant on one side and a huge supermarket on the other; we bought ourselves a very good picnic from the latter.

7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff who told us the best restaurants to go to in town, as well as finding secure under cover parking for my Harley. Hotel itself is full of olde worlde charme, though it has definitely seen better days and is on the decline. Having said that, all this is reflected in the price, which was correct for the accommodation available.
Cons: The main light switch is so far inside the room that you stumble over a piece of furniture before reaching it! The hot water was only just over tepid, and the shower is a hand-held jobbie in the bath, with no hook to attach it to. Although the double glazing was excellent, the room was so hot that we had to sleep with the window open, which meant that we had to listen to the sound of the local youths drag racing their bangers up and down the street all night, and the clank and thump of the dustmen at stupid o'clock in the morning. Not the most restful night! The toilet flush mechanism fell apart on the second flush, but being experts on the vagaries of French bogs ( we live in France), we were able to fix this ourselves! All of this sounds like we had a dreadful time, but in fact we enjoyed our stay, in a comedy of errors sort of way. The whole place had a Fawlty Towers sort of vibe, which we found quite amusing. It's a shame, because this was clearly a grand hotel in its day, which is sadly in decline and I doubt that the owners make enough income to restore it to it's former glory.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Highly recommended!
6.7 Good
Pros: Lovely town and hotel location and style
Cons: Nowhere to eat or drink on a Sunday evening. Not even a coffee available at the hotel. The breakfast was not included in the price and we pain 16 euros extra for that which wasn’t worth the price.
7.1 Good
Cons: No room service.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Beds were hard, pillows had a sweat odour, TV image was poor quality, did not replace shampoo.......
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice little town and very quiet
Cons: Hotel ist nice
