Nice hotel, good service and gastronomic restaurant
Everything was good
We were made most welcome upon our arrival by all of the staff. Our luggage was taken to our room which we found very pleasant, we don't feel there was any one thing more pleasant than any other.all good, the dinner was excellent. from our experience we would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed everything
Every staff member was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant also can be highly recommended.
The quietness of the hotel Get new pillows and improve the breakfast also the resturant being open over the weekend would be a nice touch
Frendly staff and a very interesting old building. Good breakfast. The restaurant was closed. There was nowhere to place our bicycles under cover.
Lovely location, friendly staff
It was very good and rooms were silent
Close proximity to Roche-Bernard The hotel is showing signs dis repair - very poor approach drive. Mosquitos everywhere. The bathroom was tatty - extractor fan not working, not enough hot water and it took 15 minutes to fill the bath.
The price of the wine is out of proportion with the price of the menu
Central in the town, near the station (we arrived by train). Very welcoming, garage space for our bikes, five of us in our party. Very good value for money No
Husband & wife team are very friendly, inviting and excellent hotel hosts. There are not a lot of hotels in Redon compared with Rennes but this one is certainly an excellent choice to stay at and better than the more expensive one we stayed in Rennes. The entrance to the carpark is wider than the Quic-en-Groigne in St Malo but should still be approached on the opposite side of the street to ensure perfect alignment during entry if you are driving anything above a Peugeot 207. Once at the back, it is quite spacious though. Redon is a very charming little town and this hotel is extremely close to the historic part of it. Room cosy enough, bed comfortable and enough space in our 1st floor room to fit 2 large road-trip suitcases (50kg :) ) Only the fact that you have to let the water run for a minute or two before the hot water kicks in. But once it does, it can get all nice and steamy which is perfect for a winter trip :)
Owners very helpful and pleasant; the lady speaks excellent English. Excellent location for seeing Redon which is very pretty. Great value for money.
We received good service from the staff and the hotel provided a very good location for an overnight stay during our journey to South West France.
Friendly staff spoke good English and were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was convenient for city and there were a good selection of local resturaunts. Off street parking was good.
Friendly helpful staff, assited 30 plus of us, most of whom could not speak French.
Fantastic access to restaurants and city sights. Young couple running the place were very helpful and spoke good English. Outside appearance could put you off, typical of the old french places 20 years ago. Once inside lovely.
very convenient.good parking facility
We had a comfortable night but arrived late and left quite early.The staff were very helpful;
Despite its somewhat off-putting location at the edge of a shopping center parking lot next to a stagnant canal, this hotel is basic but clean, safe, and comfortable. Free, safe parking at the door, wireless internet connection worked well. Several good restaurants within walking distance in this beautiful, flower-filled little town. No lift, which might be a problem if you have much luggage.
Staff very helpful and hard working. Nothing too much trouble. A lift would help.
Friendly efficient staff No lift
it was convenient to Redon and the music festival the decor could be improved ie. carpet on the walls!!
Very pleasant staff at reception. Room left something to be desired.
yes... we needed to go back to our room mid morning to pick up some paperwork we had left in the room..when we got there the cleaners had cleaned our room and propped the door open with a coil of cable and left it....there were no cleaners to be found on our floor .so our possessions were left unattended with an open door
Loved the huge room, the wonderful view onto the main square of the town, and delicious crepes at breakfast.
An interesting experience! Very historical, set in the middle of a fascinating and mediaeval town. Possibly more of a Creperie with rooms, even though the rooms were meant to be at the luxury end of the market. The staff were sweet and very friendly. Rather quaint in a rather rustic way. We seemed to be the only guests. We were not put into the room we had booked, but were moved to a better room, which again was not one we had booked. The room we had booked was apparently occupied although we never saw any other guests! I think a change of staff was in progress. The bed was made, but nothing else done (i.e. changing towels etc) and it was not the quietest of places, being right on the street, where traffic is allowed except between 2 pm and 7 pm - on cobbled streets. I felt the price only reflected the position of the hotel, rather than it's facilities. Unlike England, no facilities in the room (eg coffee/tea making or even a TV). Disappointed on the whole, but would imagine Americans would love it!
Everything from the initial impressions on arrival through to the wonderful meals. We enjoyed taking walks on the grounds and swimming in the indoor pool. All the staff in both the hotel and restaurant were extremely helpful and made us very welcome. If only we could afford to return every year.
Great quality and service staff friendly and helpful
The hotel was lovely, set in its own grounds. We received a great welcome from the owners and nothing was too much bother for them. The food was excellent. We hope to be back sometime in the future.
Very friendly and agreeable staff; Excellent welcome and memorably good dinner despite lateness of our arrival. Spacious room, big & bright bathroom.
Very warm friendly welcome from owner. Excellent room, with good facilities. Splendid food, good wine list nd well informed service. na
Calm athmosphere, good and discrete service and adequate facilities Breakfast to expensive for the standard provided
The owners were incredibly helpful. The setting was wonderful, the very large park was perfect and the breakfast delicious Because the temperatures were extremely high, a/c was missed.
The buildng itself was beautiful, very peaceful location, excellent food, made to feel extremely welcome. wonderful room, good value for money - one of the nicest places I have stayed
Exceptionally friendly, helpful and authentic French atmosphere. Wonderful location, great food, excellent service at a fair price. We will be back.
we were looked after very well by owners and staff which made the stay very enjoyable this is not a complaint but the swimming pool needs attention
The welcome and personal care and service of the owners, our beautiful room, the wonderful location, the food, the chese board, the wine list.... Tea making in the room whould have been nice
Delightful house, beautifully decorated. Food excellent - we took the half-board option for three nights and dinner was excellent every night. Delicious breakfast too - wonderful bread and croissants, local yoghurt. Service perfect - a really friendly welcome.
Everything was really well done. None
Atmospheric old historical Manor in beautiful wooded and hilly countryside; just 20 minutes cycle ride down to the river, canal and the beautiful 12th century town of Malestroit. Large comfortable bedroom with good bathroom overlooking the countryside. Friendly and helpful husband and wife team who prepared and served very good breakfast and high quality table d'hôte dinners. Some of the public rooms felt unfinished but this is obviously a gradual work in progress
Nice bathrooms Over priced not very clean, seems very run down against photos on advert.
An old manor which is partly refurbished-we stayed in the higher comfort rooms- yes good and everything worked-which cannot be said for all French hotels! The welcome by the owners (for us)was a bit over the top. The owners speak English-meals are average price.Sad to say that France is now a Fast food zone and many restaurants are now poor value. However the "Manoir" is better than many although very limited menus- main dish costs around 14 euros(£12).Breakfast is high price at 11 euros(£9.35) but get a lot for your money(eggs, orange juice, selection of breads and crossants and enough butter to cook with!) The bath had a shower over but nothing to hold up the shower head-typical French odd ways-the owners say it was the plumbers fault....
Owners were very helpful and friendly. Food was of a high standard overall Would have liked a residents' lounge. The garden, although large was, was not very inspiring. It requires a pleasant terrace.
