Excellent staff and services Very long walk to the room(15 min)
We stayed in this hotel for a week and loved it. It is beautiful and full of charm, clean rooms, kind staff and the best breakfast we ever had... what else can you ask for?
Refugio da Vila is what you see on the pictures. It's rare to find a hotel like this. It's designed with a lot of taste, is cosy, warm, clean, has excellent breakfast and service personnel. Our room (nr 28) had a balcony with a hammock and view on a garden. Magazines everywhere. Wifi downstairs. Cool bar. Everything was perfect! There was not 220w in the room as we had understood. They have 220w in public areas, though.
Great view of the sea from the room. Located on the beach. Friendly staff. Free self service tea in the afternoon. Good breakfast quality and variety. Sometimes cute Saguis are around at breakfast time.
Good location close to the beach. We had in advance informed the hotel that we would arrive early. We arrived at 9 o'clock in the morning, and were told that we would be able to have the room 30min later, but in the end we could only have the room after 12.
the fact that it's just in front of the seaside is a great plus. And the breakfast was really nice too. the staff tried to charge us more than due claiming that the computer system wasn't working and gave us just a hand-written piece of paper as a receipt. Also, there was no electricity for part of the night we were staying - and no hot water.
This is the most beautiful located seaside/beach hotel I ever was during my many travels. Great staff, like Wellington, Alessandra and Janaina! Away from disco's, and straight acces to the endless beach. The perfect place to enjoy the beautiful coast of Bahia, and meet extraordinary people,I will be back asap!
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, both English and non-English speakers. They allowed us to check in early after we came in from a 7 hour nightbus + 2 hr transfer, and let us use the shower in an empty room after we had already checked out, because we were wet and sandy from our whale watching trip. The room was simple but beautiful, looking straight out onto the beach. There were issues with water not coming out of the sink that were promptly fixed. The entire town shut down in a big thunderstorm on our last night which for some reason also affected the power supply, but we understand that that's out of their control.
The hotel was very nice and open to the outside. The rooms had hammacks on the terrace which was fun. They didnt have a safe in the room.
The pousada is beautiful with rooms open to the air if you wish. A full breakfast is provided with a wide variety of food including a good selection of local fruits. Rooms are adequate in size. There was only 1 person on staff who spoke English. When she was not on duty, we could not get any information about the hotel or local activities.
