Confortable secure rooms pillows too small
Rooms were clean and staff very accommodating.
there wa no breakfast included in the price
room was a very good standard for the rate charged
The twin rooms had one double bed and a double sofa bed which we where very pleased with ,lounge area was nice and food clean and decent .Would definately stay again, fantastic chinese restaurant other side of roundabout. Typical Novotel expensive, staff clueless, couldnt find my booking, then gave me a card to open car park barrier and it didnt work stuck with 5 cars agitated behind me.The planners have got it totaly wrong with the open air swimming pool in ENGLAND,put a conservatory over it ,what a waste, dont they know we have two seasons here, rain and more rain.
nice bar, comfy bed and relaxing room receptionists not really understanding english
Newly renovated room, very comfortable bed I booked 2 rooms, only 1 reserved for me and my brother. Hotel was full, due to major football fixture, and he was offered room at City Centre Novotel. To be fair the staff were very apologetic and paid for taxis, but a real nuisance. Also they charged my brother more than the rate I'd booked at the other hotel (he didn't know what I'd booked) though saying we would not be out of pocket - refund was agreed but we had to pursue the issue
nice location breakfast very pricey
Friendly staff, excellent central location Shower poor, air con ineffective (weather warm and humid during our stay).
No on site car parking, room had a smell of damp and fags!
good sized room - efficient check in- excellent security arrangements
Very nicely decorated and furnished bedroom. Very quiet. Bathroom a bit tired
very nice rooms and very very clean. Staff very polite. Comfortable hotel Teal value for money.
Couple of particularly good staff - one on Reception, one in bar. Perfect location for our visit - an exhibition at the GMex Had a room at the front of the hotel - very noisy from road and tram traffic. If staying again would ask for a room at the back
Central easy access to public transport No bad points
Good location. Clean room.
What I expected clean and affordable, no probs Only had one towel in room and only realised getting out of shower so couldn't go get one
Cheap and good hotel in city Nothing
All staff friendly and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
rooms very clean and confortable. Breakfast good.
cleanliness was very good.Gives you value for money.Recently well decorated.Good location.Good parking facilities.
Friendly, very helpful staff. Great value for money. None
The hotel was done up to a nice standard and had all the usual things you come to expect such as tea/coffee facilities & tv. Our room was downstairs and I was kept awake all night by what I thought was the heating system but found out the next morning it was a fan in the mens toilet that was right next to our bathroom, this totally ruined my weekend away! So if you experience the same you will know how to solve this!
Nice hotel, not fantastic but a relaxing nights sleep. It was ideal for Manchester MEN as a tram took us into the centre in 10 minutes ( taxi would have been £6). Had a good time in manchester and a taxi back was £10 at 4 in the morning! Free parking and where it was was far cheaper than staying in the centre. Would definitely stay again.
Good value for money. Excellent breakfast!! Good hotel bar. Room was clean and tidy
The size of the room cleanliness could be better
room okay , staff very helpful lobby /reception area could be improved to give better first impression
Great, friendly, helpful service. Clean rooms, great value for money
Staff very cordial and friendly Shower not working
Owners were very welcoming and offered lots of advice about the area. Room was a little drab and basic - bed broke when we sat on it! Shower room had broken tiles on floor and shower itself was a bit basic.
The warm friendly reception from the owners. They made me feel at home and were very pleasant conversation at breakfast time.
A really lovely surprise for such a reasonable price. Modern rooms and plenty of chioce at breakfast, served with a friendly chat, and fast!!
Good friendly owner, room prepared well, good room facilities- including an iron!, Soup and bread, tea and coffee laid on in the dining room on arrival- complimentary, and I even had my tea, which I brought with me, in the dining room. Great breakfast with tea, coffee, juice and toast, and cereal if you wanted it.
I stayed at Ivy Mount Guest House for 5 days, I absolutely loved it. I would recommend them to everyone. The room was cleam, gorgeous, spacious, homie, (could have had the heating on as it was a bit cold, but to be fair I didn't ask for it myself) toilet & bathroom very small. but I am tiny so it was perfect for me. I love the family running the guest house, they were a diamond. Great breakfast served, home made soup and a loaf in the evening free (on request) I can not think of anything negative about the place. Thank you, I had a wonderful stay
Heart warming attitude of the staffs/owners Shared toilets and shower, small place for breakfast and in peak times you have to wait to get a vacant seat, near the Man Utd match the room prices soar
Friendly welcome and service Shower two floors up
paul was great our booking went wrong and he put it right we enjoyed our stay at Ivy Mount sue jarvisand friend Ann
The helpfulness of the staff.
it was central to where i was visiting the beds were uncomfartable had to ask for the tv to be fixed 4 times and the noise from the traffic woke us very early in the morning and it was very expensive for the room we got could of got cheaper when looking around at the airport or in the city center
Good location for access to city centre via public transport I would like to visit again but this time with my kids, however the pub next door was only average and did appear to be more suitable for adults
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and made us feel welcome.Location for the tram is fairly good and taxi to centre costs £7.00. Really desperately needs updating, room tatty and bathroom from the 70's. Not a patch on the many other premier inns we have stayed in which are alot newer than Heaton Park.
I have stayed at premier inns on numerous occasions and you usually know what you are getting. They were rennovvationg we were intoxicated all night with paint fumes and could not mive due to the hotel being full. The windows never open so Premier Inns never allow fresh air in to the rooms
Very handy for Manchester Feel that there should be rooms for smokers
Extremely helpful receptionist who having been unable to book me into a Premier Inn (Macclesfield North & South) for following night. Rang around and found alternative accommodation on her own initiative. Good breakfast Route from front of hotel via openair walkway to the rear entrance of restaurant would benefit from becoming a 'covered way'. (I got quite wet during heavy rain). Alternative solution would be to have access via front door of restaurant
the rooms were clean, the staff helpful and polite.
The best thing about my stay at the hotel was definately Becci the receptionist on duty when I arrived. In my opinion she was extremely helpful when I asked for an extension lead to use with my CPAP machine in so far as that she rang round both the hotel and the beefeater restaurant to find me one. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a log! The breakfast on the morning was also excellent and left me feeling full and sated.
Clean, comfortable room. Soap in shower didn't work.
the staff were xtremely helpful when it came to giving directions for shopping etc...the food at the adjoining restaurant was good and economical.. a little out of town...but good bus services..
Restuarant was good Hotel was quiet Room was comfortable Reception looks worn and outdated, needs cheering up Room needed brightening up
Very nice friendly staff, the food was very good
the breakfast 1. window couldn't close, so heard the traffic all night and it worsen in the early morning. the toilet after every flush had a horrible and disgusting smell. the cleaning staff were very rude when they came in to clean the room.
it was very clean location it was to far away from city centre we usually stay at old trafford but it was fully booked
Cleanliness of room, great staff, size of room, fab breakfast None
Parking facilities excellent and well lit.Staff very polite and effecient.Restaurant and staff very good. Found television controls difficult to get stations.
The hotel was well situated and comfortable. The restaurant next door was good value for money and the food was excellent
Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of foods. Big comfortable beds.
your staff kindness no visible sign outside...difficult to find...
Nice place, very impressive and helpful staff at reception, will come back again in the future.
Room was basic and bathroom small, shower only had a curtain so water ended up on bathroom floor
friendly staff , lovely breakfast, very clean rooms.
Clean and comfortable Noisy students(?) partying till late in the courtyard on the ground floor
I found this hotel to be excellent and strongly reccomend it to anyone. The staff are fabulous and incredibly helpful especially for international travellers.
food,comfort,easy access to transport
staff, location, breakfast small room, bed was not so confortable. cleaning ok but could be improved
Rooms neat and tidy Beds maybe need to be replaced as they were not the best - way to soft
This was my second stay at the hotel. I find it excellent & reccomend it to anyone.
Location Room was small
The cleanliness of room was fantastic comfy beds, spotless bathroom Near a main road. A little noisy not too bad
Very polite staff Couldn't sleep due to excess traffic noise
comfy bed, good food & drink, helpfull and polite staff.
Ideal location for trafford centre, city centre & old trafford football stadium.
The room was modern and the bed was huge and very comfortable, the room was nice and quiet too - I couldn't hear other guests. The reception staff were lovely.
Staff helpful, cleanliness Room too hot, shower curtain
Rooms very comfortable and clean. Booking process online through Active Hotels gave a confirmation no that was not recognised by the hotel. Also some clever person decided to cancel the booking and put it onto the following day as we had requested a late check in/out. Also it is not clear when booking a twin room as it is stated as Twin/Double and we specifically wanted twin as male colleagues were sharing the room not the bed! Eventually the desk sorted it out but it was most inconvenient at the time. Also no vat invoice was sent to the email address for reclaim of vat.
Room was ready early and was very close to the trafford center and staff very helpful. None
Receptionist on booking in could not have been more helpful
The reception was friendly. The hotel was warm and could not cool down unless window was opened. There was strong urine odour from the toilet. There were lots of floor thumping and queaking noises from the floor above. The english breakfast was disappointing - the sauages were burnt and weren't premium type as suggested.
Great reception. Lovely staff very helpful
Spotless, friendly helpful staff very enjoyable None
Nice and comfortable
All the staff were excellent. The breakfast was excellent value. N/A
We requested that our room be ready if possible before 2 pm as we were getting ready for a wedding., It was and we were very grateful. Also there was no problem with arranging for extra towels - all done very promptly,
The staff were very helpful and it was convenient as it was near a big tescos and close to my family. The rooms smelt of smoke.
I found the hotel was close enough for our reason of visit but far enough from the main city centre & hustle bustle. We ate & slept well (couldn't ask for a refund then as promised by Mr.Lenny Henry!) Can't say there was anything to complain about but I was wondering what was on offer for £29 per night as advertised?
it is at good location to transport and next door to tgi fridays(excellent) no
Excellent location for North Manchester, easily found from Motorway. Staff friendly and efficient. No frills but everything available.
The hotel was spotless and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door was also very good. It is easy to find and has excellent transport links into the city centre.
The room was comfortable and spacious if a little sparse Extremely poor service and an incredibly rude manageress
The cleanliness in every single room!
Staff were helpfull, breakfast was very good. The Hotel is what you expect from Premier Inn, clean & tidy. More a comment than a complaint, its very hard to get to, one way traffic system does not help. Look for Sainsbury supermarket, the Hotel is the next turn left.
The room was clean , the staff were helpful and friendly ,bed was comfortable , and the showere was hot . the hotel met our all needs for an overnight stay. Hotel was nice overall but had a evening meal in the restraunt which wasn't great . The breakfast in the morning was lovely though but didnt like the ordering system , would have preferred hot breakfast to be laid out on hot plates so you could help yourself.
Standard of accomodation as expected. Staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. Situated close to motorway for convenience but not too close for noise. Access to the hotel from the motorway slightly confusing. Tried to get details using the website link before traveling but none were available for this location.
Everything was clean and very comfortable Did think there should have been a little more refreshments. 2 tea bags is not enough when two people are staying
The staff were very helpful and wanted only to make sre you have a pleasant stay. Also you always know what your getting with a Premier Inn-it dosn't matter where you stay, the food, rooms and linens are always the same...Which is a good thing
Check was very quick and easy and the reception staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I thought the room smelt a bit smokey, but it was clean.
Location, easy access to the city centre.
The location was ideal for the city centre, near train station, well worth the visit.
Great location, walking distance to Manchester Central, busy areas and shopping areas. Safe area even at late hours. Breakfast is good including eggs, bacon, fruits, juices, yogurt. Rooms are comfortable and convinient. Modern bathrooms, everything working perfectly. Great value for money and I would definitely stay there again. Limited number of towels, only one per guest. No toiletries and hair drier in the room. No mini bar.
Room was clean, pod design bathroom was great - very clean and easy to use shower. Hotel is in a great location, close to business area as well as the shopping centre. I enquired about parking facilities before confirming my booking and was told there was a car park in the road behind the hotel (St James Street, Manchester) and I could get a discount card if I parked there (q car park). I wasn't given directions or sent a map and was led to believe it was easy to find....unfortunately it wasn't! I drove round and round the area but couldn't find it. It turns out St James Street is in two halves - one either side of another road and the one I went down was the wrong one. I ended up parking in an ncp car park which cost me a lot more money. More instruction should be given when staff advise on parking facilities.
Good location, modern. Clean. Poor value for money. Poor selection of breakfast items.
Staff were friendly and efficient.
Clean hotel Air con didnt work
The location is very good and conventient. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The dining area is very clinical and there's no atmosphere. The rooms have got no information about Manchester and it's facilities.
staff were very friendly and helpful, room was comfortablethe location was ideal and near to all facilities the bathroom is almost a hazard to guests and especailly to elderly or for people with difficulties you have to step up in to the bath room and it is very small and you have to pull/push with great force to close the door. The hotel also charged the credit card for the full stay even though I rang twice to confirm that I would be paying in cash on arrival. wont be using this website again!!
Decent shower, cool room on a hot day. Value for money. Modern. Clean. Reception area and lobby also doubles as the Breakfast area and bar. This means visitors, tradesmen and general drop-ins all pass through the area. Breakfast and a late night drink (from a trolley) is not relaxing therefore. Perhaps that is what the building works were addressing and why the front door was locked at breakfast (0830hrs) - colleagues could not come in to meet me and had to get the door unlocked so I could meet them and my taxi. Reception did not answer telephone when rang at 0530hrs for an iron - but when I went down there was someone standing there at reception... who told me to go to the ironing room. Ironing room excellent - but a separate room.
