The rooms were immaculately clean!!! It looked like brand new rooms! The rooms were quite big. The bed was absolutely comfortable -- I woke up refreshed, starting each morning well rested. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed a one night stay in Castle View B&B on a recent trip to Sligo. We would really compliment the host Jenny as she is so friendly and accommodating, we received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our triple room was very well presented, nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. We visited the local areas of Sligo, Mullaghmore, Bundoran and Rosses Point during our stay, and it is very well situated for easy access to same. The next morning we had a nice breakfast, which overlooks a stunning view of the castle and the sea. We would recommend, and overall found it good value and a great location. We would also recommend a visit to Eithnas by the Sea in nearly Mullaghmore if you are staying here, I believe Jenny provides transfer to the local area should you need same, which is a great additional service.
Cons: Unfortunately one of the beds in our triple room was against a wall of an adjoining bathroom, and the guests next door were very noisy, and showered at 1.30am, but that is no fault of the B&B. Possibly the bed in that room could be relocated.

Pros: Maureen was fab host nothing was to much trouble
Cons: A bit out of the way

Pros: We were lucky enough to get a lovely room with views to both ocean and mountains. While a bit remote, there are well-placed signs at strategic locations along the route to help you find Mount Edward Lodge B&B. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Other guests seemed to be either smoking in their rooms or possibly at the front door, so we could smell it through the corridor and at the entrance to our room. Wifi was not available at our end of the corridor, so we had to go to the guest sitting area to be closer to the modem.

Pros: Mary greeted us upon arrival and made us feel vey much at home. Her explanation of how everything we needed at the B&B was super. We could not have felt more at home. There was just enough interaction with our host, but not too much - just perfect. This is a great wee Irish B&B. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at either a hotel or B&B. I may have had better, but I can't remember when.
Cons: Nothing.

Highly recommended.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Gorgeous grounds, location although a little distance from Sligo Town was lovely. Breakfast was very good, Dinner smelt amazing but we didn't eat in.
Cons: Although its a character property steeped in history, I feel that the hotel needs to be updated or modernised in a tasteful way, to suit the character of the building. Some of the décor is a little outdated and has a sense of a B&B rather than a hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, friendly hospitality in a tastefully restored home. Owners very helpful and informative about exploring a most picturesque county.
