We were the first reservation that this hotel had received via Booking.com and they thoroughly spoilt us. The gourmet meal was superb and the service impeccable. Ours is the first review of this hotel and we recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a little bit of luxury by the Seine.
Excellent nouvelle cuisine Room very low head height & cramped
Fantastic location, rather quirky Expensive Champagne breakfast
Wonderful location overlooking the Seine.Food was excellent if a little expensive Rooms were very nice but suffer from the aesthetic approach rather than practical-no curtain or separation for the shower in the bathroom so water goes everywhere-but it looks good!
The food was superb Our room was very dark and it was located in the 'attic' with very low ceilings, hence we suffered from back ache from bending
Lovely location, gorgeous setting, wifi included, blissfully comfortable bed Rooms could have used another light; a bit dim at night
Gorgeous view on the Seine, nice room and an excellent restaurant, all at very affordable prices.
Proximity to Giverny enabling a long visit to Monet`s house ,garden and museum with a very pleasant lunch. General feeling of poor management supervision - perhaps we timed our visit badly!!!
Excellent position, with views over Seine, from room (side view) and restaurant. Good parking, right in front of hotel. Booked a garden room, which is admittedly the economy room, but very dissapointing. Did not look at all like picture on website. Attic room with little headroom, too dark - not enough lights and deep purple decor made it worse. Couldn't see to read properly. No bath, we were not asked if we wanted one, and prospectus did not say there wasn't one. Dinner 22euro choice looked good but starters were poor - miniscule piece of fish 3 inches x 1 inch, and what was the tasteless egg floating in a sea of liquid? Maincourse good, but no vegetables whatsoever. Headwaiter's initial approach rather brash and superior.
The position and setting of the hotel and it's unique style. The quality and presentation of the food. The Coumtryside room that we occupied lacked light and would have benifitted by an additional cieling mounted lamp.
Excellent hotel in beautiful quiet old town near Paris. Hotel is located in a park with a big lake on Seine bank and half of rooms have beautiful view of that park and lake. Room had good furniture/equipment. About 15 min away from railway station from which direct train takes you to Paris in 30 mins. I definitely recommend this place if you love nature and don't require to be right in Paris.
We had a lovely stay. It started with a very warm welcome by the receptionist. Rooms were very cosy and quiet. We had a nice view on the park and as for the Breakfast, it included my prefered selection of pastries! Will definitely come back!
A bit remote, no restaurant within easy walking distance.Expensive for location.
warm and friendly staff, good breakfast, rooms were very clean dark and somber, with very bad decor in hallways and rooms, bed and pillows terribly uncomfortable, bad smell in hallways, rooms were very cold, despite extra blankets and heater turned all the way up
Excellent value for money, staff very helpful and friendly, no parking charges. Difficult to locate, got the impression it was nearer to the motorway, but it was mostly our own fault as we had not done enough research on location as we had a borrowed sat. Nav, that did not work.
Name of the hotel is not accurate
Close to motorway Restaraunt was very bad service and food not a good standard
friendly staff, modern design of rooms, free parking and free use of wifi. Good to provide electronic kettle with plastic cups and coffee and tea. it's more like a overpriced B&B. The outlook of the hotel is more like a warehouse. The room is extremely small despites its out-of-the-way location. Stain marks on bath curtain and bedsheet. Noise from the main road.
Overall hotel was clean and fresh looking, rooms were very clean with good state of decor. Campanile Epone had no real Bad points Campanile Beauvais, however, was worst hotel experience i've had, dirty rooms, overall shoddy appearance
Poor food selection, and impoliteness of staff. I have stayed at Campanile hotels before and my stay was pleasant. That is why I chose to stay here again but I must say that my experience at this particular location was subpar.
Very close to the motorway and the buffet was amazing!
the dinner was very tasty and fair priced, but the breakfast was under par
Pleasant staff, clean, reasonable cost Very slippy bath, we both had a fall whilst showering. Locked out of hotel for 15 minutes when keycode failed to open door.
Good parking, nice restaurant Difficult getting into town without bringing the car
Unappealing building in an industrial area. One towel for two people. No shower curtain. Tv remote did not work even after getting new batteries. Barebone breakfast.
Not much actually Seemed a rough area, poor security, very stuffy room and restuarant closed all weekend plus no breakfast before 9.00am on Saturday.
The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable (as much as this price range is typically) and the gardens were very beautiful. Although it was a Tuesday night I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't open and had made the hotel booking with the restaurant in mind. As a result of this, and the fact that it was already 9:30pm when we headed out to eat, we had to settle for take-away Pizza from a nearby town. I don't consider this circumstance to be the fault of the hotel as such but was nonetheless an inconvenience created by the restaurant being shut.
friendly staff We arrived mid evening and the restaurant only had a "cold platter" available but the Campanile down the street had a marvellous salad buffet which we enjoyed Initially we were given key to a room that was not made up but this was quickly remedied .
Room was clean. Free WiFi. Hotel was very dated and was in need of refurbishment. The room was very basic. The staff were not very friendly. I amended my booking the week before my visit, but the hotel had not been made aware of the changes.
Nice garden in front of the rooms and friendly staff. Good parking. Very old rooms, with little maintenance (paint falling out of windows frame, burned light bulb, walls with almost no sound insulation)
The willingmess of the staff The restaurant was not open on a Saturday night. The young man on duty kindly cooked us some dinner but as we booked this hotel specifically because it had a restaurant we weren't impressed!
The twin room although small was very well designed, making the most of the space available. The staff were helpful. There is no view but this did not matter to us. There was hot water and working plumbing. The heater really did not warm the whole room although the extra blankets provided did the job.
Its not what I didn't like it's just that there's nowhere else to write this down. I've answered yes to recommending hotel down below, however only for the right situation, which is either doing what we did or if somebody was touring the area by car, as the area is pretty but the view from the hotel is not
Close to shops. Room was smart with tv and a good firm bed. Restaurant food and service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful, English spoken. Would stay again. No tea/coffee maker in the room.
