Pros: This place is really amazing! It is situated in the middle of the rice field and the view is gorgeous! The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was big and clean.
Cons: As it is situated in the middle of nowhere it is impossible to find a grab or a gojek. The hotel offers some transport service but it's highly overpriced.
Pros: Sweet people working here. Nice spaghetti next to the local dishes. Windayani, the supervisor, is a super lady. She can explain a lot about the environment, habits, culture.
Cons: A bit far from warungs in the evening.
Pros: it's a great view and quiet. And staff was kind. We were able to see the sunset and firefly.
Cons: Jacuzzi was dirty. a lot of dirt. It should be clean up an outlet for water.
Pros: The view
Cons: - the food is way below expectations - the rooms were not really clean and very humid - the place felt empty - place is in the middle of nowhere far away from All sites
Pros: All staff very friendly and help full, really recommended
Pros: A gorgeous setting with lovely cool swimming pool, beautiful wooden joglos and magnificent views from every angle to rice fields and mountains. Staff are lovely - especially the manageress, Wimda who is full of local knowledge and enthusiasm. Close to Jatiluwih.
Pros: Great view great location, nice traditional joglo design
Cons: The stairs lead to the pool was lock so we have to walk to the front of the Joglo on the way down to the pool area. The water clarity of the pool can be improved
Pros: The hotel and the place are really beautiful. Good staff in particular Komang :-) Truly good stay.
Cons: All was nice.
Pros: Everything. When we arrived sadly no other people stayed (his place deserves more guests!), but in the other hand the staff is super nice and friendly they let us access the suite room balcony to see mount agung over sunrice. The view? Unbelievably breathtaking. They let us play drone around. You can see 4 mountains and a vast rice field around you. The most peaceful choice around tabanan. We booked just a few minutes before we arrived as we did a road trip across Bali, the parking lot is large, the restaurant is awesome, the breakfast is perfect. I had been living and working at the Bulgari resorts Bali for 6 months, have been visiting various high-end resorts across Bali, so I know exactly what is the standard of good accommodation across Bali and across the worls. I have stayed at countless hotels villas and resorts on this island. I was totally having my one of my best stay in this place. I totally recommend this place. The staff is amazing too! And their amenities are perfectly in good quality. They deserve more guests for sure!
Cons: Almost nothing, if they can have ac it’s gonna be better, but the temperature around this area is not too hot so it’s relatively fine although I still think they need to install an AC. When we arrived they did a fogging to kill mosquitoes, so we probably arrived at bad timing, but we’re glad for such service. The only thing we regret was that we arrived there at the end of our road trip so we couldn’t extend :(
Pros: Accommodation was clean and lovely house. We stayed in the big one and it was amazing. Girls in the kitchen were lovely and very friendly. Dinners were nice and tasteful. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: Our windows were towards swimming pool and unfortunately one night there stayed family with three kids and they let them to go and yell in the pool from 6.20 a.m. :((( Maybe the owner need to set and write some rules when guests are not able to accept some obviously rules of the good behaviour.
Located in Wongaya Gede, Prana Dewi Mountain Resort is a 3-minute drive from Luhur Batukaru Temple and 9 minutes from Jatiluwih. This hotel is 20.8 mi (33.4 km) from Ulun Danu Temple and 5.7 mi (9.2 km) from Jatiluwih Rice Fields. Rooms Make yourself at home in one of the 14 guestrooms. Business, Other Amenities Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Really rustic and peaceful location. The grounds are beautiful. Our Villa was very private. We liked the fact that there was no TV or Wifi and no air conditioning. Its one of the main reasons we decided to stay. The rooms do allow geckos to get in, but you would expect that in SE Asia. We had mosquito nets, but their were few, if any mosquitos when we went (June).
Cons: We had to pay for additional extras by cash as the machine did not work for MC. Not a big deal. There are not many other places to eat nearby - so we may need a scooter or car to get further, if thats what you would like to do.
Pros: Very well located, amazing views, quiet place, helpfull and friendly staff. Just perfect
Pros: It was just an absolutely beautiful - the best place I’ve ever stayed at.
Cons: Nothing. It was beautiful.
Pros: Unique set up, integrated with the environment, in the nature
Cons: Rat in the bedroom
Pros: The location is beautiful : full nature, beautiful sunrises, lots of green all around. The food was delicious and the staff really kind and lovely. Perfect for who wants to relax and do some yoga ( they have a wonderful yoga shala in the resort).
Pros: The massage was great! 140.000 per hrs and was worth it. Nice located, clean area, lovely pool with icecold water Most food from own garden. The rice is delicious. free refill of water Very friendly staff. It is a cold area so take your sweaters and long pants with you!!
Cons: It is not located in jatiluwih. It takes about 25 min by car to get in the jatiluwih Unesco area (entrancr fee). The hotel can arrange this, but it is not in one of the “standard” trekkings. Small portions at dinner for “high” rates. No indonesian Breakfast. Not near any centre, shops etc so you’llnerd a car or taxi We did the trekking of jungle, Ricefields and temple. Very friendly guide, but no very special Tour. It is only one view point of ricefields. We expected more.
Pros: Resort is in the walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Quite good and big breakfast.
Cons: Bungalow should be more clean and the bathroom need a revamp (but we get the older bungalow - the toilet was old and it didnt flush, the room was dusty). We also decided to go with the snorkelling trip arranged by the hotel and they took as to the place where the reef is mostly dead - it was a spot for learning diving, not for snorkelling.. you should rather look for a snorkelling in a company outside the resort and check before to which spot they are planning to take you
Pros: The setting
Cons: Not much
Pros: - Traditional Balinese bungalow in the middle of rice paddies - Beautiful surroundings and charming garden - Peaceful and embedded within nature - Excellent organic food grown on site - Lovely staff (and resident cats)
With a stay at Balam Bali Villa in Abiansemal, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Ubud Monkey Forest and Campuhan Ridge Walk. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfy bed.
Cons: They forgot the shower gel
Pros: Nice terrace with view on rice fields. Very quiet. Lots of DVDs. Great pool. Yummy breakfast. Clean. Friendly staff. Fine gym room.
Cons: Isolated in Rice fields. Transport to Temple and food/drinks are expensive. They charged us 900k for a plate of plain spaghetti...
Pros: The staff is friendly and ready to help you with any requests you may have, also acting proactively and providing you services even before you ask for it. When bathroom equipment broke in our room, we were offered a choice of other rooms of a higher grade to move to. The brekfast is tasty: eggs your style, pancake, juice and fruit plate. The cafe is located at elevated tower and provides some nice view on the rice fields around. Some rooms also had mountain view from the balcony (2nd floor), it's a great place to sit at the sofa and drink coffe in the morning while enjoying the view. Free bikes available if you wish to move around quicker.
Pros: Pretty much everything. The room and its amazing details, the quiet and beautiful surroundings, the free bicicle, the pool, the breakfast with the view over the rice fields, and the kindness of all the staff.
Cons: There was some misunderstanding about the breakfast, because when we asked about it, they always said 75.000 Rp, and was never specified, so we assumed was an extra to the room price. In the end it was for person, and the info was a bit hiden in booking details. So for who reads this, can already know.
Pros: Small yet compact accommodation overlooking rice paddies in quiet location with interesting villages to. Walk around
Cons: needed a bit more variety of food
Pros: Perfect place for relaxed days
Pros: The building itself was special, 200 years wooden house in the middle of rice field.
Cons: The toilet was not inside the room in the cabin.
Pros: Staff / location / the peace
Pros: Nice quiet location. Clean rooms and friendly staff
Cons: Just the distance to ubud centre. Fair bit of travel
Pros: Very clean and very friendly.
Pros: The facilities are complete better than at some vilas
Cons: If only the aircond is much colder then it’ll be perfect cause it tends to be very hot during the day and plus the bed is a bit close to the rooftop.
Pros: Located in a nice quiet area Only 10 minutes from Canggu, super clean Glamping style rooms, the family is welcoming and very helpfull.
Pros: A huge room with kitchen facilities, cooking utencils, eating area, larger fridge and stove, airconditioning and filtered water. Bathroom larger and all toiletries provided. Excellent airport pickup service later at night and transport to bus station early in morning. 15 minutes from Mengwi bus terminal. Bed was up stairs so room may not suit older persons as stairs steep.
Cons: Nothing, Just sorry we could not stay longer and enjoy all the facilities.
Pros: Bed was very nice, the staff very friendly. The owner gave me a free breakfast as a welcome gift. Motorbike as a requested was there in 10 minutes. I reccomend this place if you like the real non tourisme life in Indonesia its far enough from all the clubs and bars to feel relaxed but close enough if you like to have a party but a silent place to sleep. The room was very clean and all very easy contact with the owner by whatsapp, they realy did all they can to make my time in there very nice!
Pros: The appartment is cozy and provides everything necessary. The big assets are : - The terrace, ideal for the breakfast in the morning while enjoying the view and/or chilling/sunbathing in the afternoon. - The bathroom, spacious and lit. - Renting of motorbikes and bikes. - Last but ont least the Host. Nanda Karina is really nice and kind and welcomed us very warmly with her family. She will definitely take time to answer your questions and help you to experience a pleasant stay. During special occasions (balinese ceremonies or whenever she is available), she offers cooking lessons. It really is a sharing and rich experience because you can discover the traditional culture alongside her family. It is also a great moment to taste several delicious balinese homemade dishes ! We loved being that close to people during our stay and escaping the effervescence of cities. We definitely recommend this place !
Pros: Really great hosts, they helped out via whatsapp when arriving. We only stayed for one night for transfer, but we wish we could have stayed longer! Really new and beautiful two-story-appartement with a little kitchen!
Cons: It was a bit hard to find, in a small street in a non touristy area. There was a sign saying „Little house“, which turned out to refer to „Glamping Little House“. There were roosters crowing the whole night, so bring earplugs ;-)
Boasting a terrace, Tegar Guest House Blumbungan is situated in Mengwi. All rooms boast a kitchenette, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a private bathroom. The property features an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and rooms with pool views. At the guest house, rooms are equipped with a wardrobe. All rooms at Tegar Guest House Blumbungan have air conditioning and a desk. The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the accommodation. Kuta is 22 km from Tegar Guest House Blumbungan, while Ubud is 14 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport, 26 km from the guest house.
Pros: Very friendly family, thank you for the nice stay!
Pros: I wasn't sure at first when we arrived by bluebird taxi who went in circles to run up the fare. It seemed like we were in the middle of nowhere, but then we learned that we were around the corner from Green School, which I had visited the year before. I'd actually hoped that Mengwi would be a village and even though the population is 120,000, this beautiful home is in the outskirts and feels like a village. There's an excellent restaurant which the owner dropped us off at, but is just a 10 or 15 minute walk, with other roadside cafes along the way. The rooms are huge, look out at a pool and garden. Then in the morning we were greeted with the most wonderful breakfast. The family that hosts us are just the nicest, even set us up with portable wifi and let us borrow a scooter. I wish we could have stayed longer. They rent weekly, monthly and annually, mostly to people affiliated with Green School.
Cons: At first I was disappointed that I hadn't noticed there is no internet service, but the owner loaned us his portable wifi which was fine. I didn't like the shady taxi driver who drove in circles and pretended we were going directly to the guest house, but that's no fault of Tegar.
Pros: Friendly and nice owner.
Cons: Room toilet cleaness need to improve .
Pros: The host are so nice! We had a lovely time and it feels like we made some good friends.
Cons: Couldn't connect to the wifi, but there's a Warung close with free wi-fi.
Pros: Perfect location if you want to visit the Green School, within walking distance. Super nice family (owners), very helpful. Good beds and clean stays. Recommended !!!
Pros: The whole families are very very nice, the beds are big and super comfortable, very clean! the owner drived us to the Green School and directed us how to go back to the guest house in a short way, and he prepared the local delicious lunch for us on my request but charged us small money. i appreciate for the families' care to us during our short stay. We are very happy with them and look forward to seeing them next time.
Cons: If i have to say what i don't like, ok, the swimming pool is not long enough for me as a good swimmer, but it's understandable since it's only a small family-runned guest house.
Boasting a garden and a restaurant, Homestay Jatiluwih 259 is set in Jatiluwih. With a private bathroom, rooms at the guest house also feature a garden view. At Homestay Jatiluwih 259, the rooms come with a seating area. Angseri Hot Spring is 6 km from the accommodation, while Batukaru Temple is 10 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport, 59 km from Homestay Jatiluwih 259.
Pros: VIEW AND VIEW!! very lovely view right in front of your room! signal quite bad, but i'm pretty sure you don't need your internet anymore while you stay here.
Cons: smells quite moldy but it's acceptable since this area is very cold almost a whole day also breakfast provide very late at 9 am and closed at 5 pm, make sure you rent motorbike so you can still have dinner outside otherwise you have to walk very far to grab a plate of dinner.
Pros: Beautiful views to the ricefields. Best in the morning (before ten) with no clouds. No wifi, but you do not really need that in these surroundings anyway - you are there to watch nature, not a screen.
Cons: No sink in bathroom for washing hands. Had to use shower for that. Very mouldy smell in the room, and black spots on walls. NO need to stay more than one night just to see the ricefields in the early morning. Extremely expensive restaurant, so we did not go there. Went next door up the hill in stead - spectacular views and reasonable food for the price. Would not stay again.
Pros: Stunning view of the rice fields. Easy access to rice fields and villages.
Cons: Nothing - excellent value for money.
Pros: Nice view.
Cons: Room was musty. Could have used some freshening up.
Pros: Large room Nice personal Good lights in the room Comfortable bed
Cons: Wifi signal is avaliable only in restaurant (not in room) Missing mirror in bathroom If you want to go in Homestay restaurant prepare +20% of the whole price! (10% for goverment tax a 10% for servicing. In other words double charge. 5:30 am chicken alarm from near Farmer.
Pros: nice view from the room
Cons: breakfast to late...
Pros: The room is large and has a good view, and the shower was hot. Plus there was a one-plate stove and pot.
Cons: If I was travelling solo, I would have felt quite isolated here as we were the only guests. The restaurant closes at 5pm and only opens the next morning at 9am.
Pros: The room was very spacious and offering a great view over the rice fields in the distance. The bed was big and very very comfy.
Cons: The bad smell in the room.
Pros: The location is amazing. Breakfast is delicious. View is fantastic. Music in the morning is chill. The apartment is gorgeous. Flowers are everywhere, very comfy.
Cons: Colony of ants at the kitchen behind a picture
Pros: the weather
Cons: the lateness of serving the breakfast also the explanation about JATILUWIH 259 from the staff is not really clear, so that we have some missed communication problems.
Located in Tabanan, Bhuana Agung provides a restaurant and free WiFi, 17 km from Secret Garden Village and 31 km from Taman Ayun Temple. An Asian breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International, 59 km from Bhuana Agung, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Pros: Great view that it ! Personnel very helpful, but the owner was not available...
Pros: The location.
Cons: First of all: our review is only about the "superior" twin room as the more expensive luxury room looked quite decent on a first look The location is just perfect! Right in front of the Jatiluwih rice terracess But apart from that there is nothing else that makes you stay here This room is far away from western standards anyway but also far away from Indonesian standards We are two backpackers so we don't expect a lot from a room But this was not acceptable in so many ways! The room and especially the bathroom smell rotten, there is an old, worn (!) underpants on the bathroom door, holes in the wall, insects (+their eggs) on the sheets ... When tried to use the sheets to seal the front door (wasn't properly closing and inviting loads of mosquitos) we discovered that the bedding is moldy As this wouldn't be enough when we had dinner in the restaurant there were rats running around (also in the kitchen) We tried to talk to them and explained we wanted to leave - and they couldn't care less On top of that they wanted to charge us 200k when we asked them to drive us to our next hostel (5 min. (!) by car) Very disappointing experience and both of us ended up with having stomach problems As a result: there are SO many better options for (almost) the same price
Pros: The rooms were excellent. Clean, plenty of space, with outside areas overlooking the rice terraces. Easy to walk down to the track, and to the other restaurants etc. The room was very close to the road, but we were not disturbed by noise or traffic in the evening.
Cons: Meals in the restaurant for dinner were not that great. Not a lot of flavour. I think maybe they have 'westernized' the Indonesian & Balinese dishes for general tourists, but it left us disappointed.
Pros: Perfect location. New deluxe room, very clean and good quality. View from room is amazing.
Pros: Location. Location. Location.
Cons: Some of the walls have mildew issues ...
Pros: Beautiful view from room! Good bed, large bathroom, friendly staff, good restaurant with great view. Very close to Jatiluwih entrance. At night pleasantly cold, so no need for AC. Road in front is busy in daytime, but hardly any traffic after 6pm.
Cons: General maintenance of the beautiful large room, with little effort it could be perfect.
Pros: The location of the hotel was right inside the Jatiluwih Rice paddy terrace, which what we wanted so we could do the evening walk after most tourist left, and an early morning walk the next day before tourist start come. The room we got was new so it was very clean and the bed was very comfy. There was no aircon/fan in the room but we don't need it because it was cold in Jatiluwih. Our breakfast was served on the hotel's rooftop (upon request) with fantastic view of the rice terrace. The breakfast menu is plenty to choose which was great. Few restaurants around but we had our dinner in the hotel's restaurant as they hve reasonable menu. Most restaurants inside the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace site close early, so make sure to get dinner earlier. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We really appreciate that they are very honest too. before we went for morning walk, we had checkout but accidentally left a pouch inside the room. when we get back they informed us about it.
Cons: Not so much of dislike but something to improve: The toilet/shower layout was a bit awkward; would suggest to blurred or put curtin on the clear gass toilet's door so people from the outside could not see. Would also be good to have drying rail for the wet towel somewhere.
With a stay at Ijo Eco Lodge Bali in Mengwi, you'll be 0.9 mi (1.4 km) from Shinta Rama Park and 9.4 mi (15.2 km) from Ubud Monkey Forest. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Cozy rooms, helpful staff. Wish the hotel will provide us free airport transfer
Pros: The rooms was clean and big enough for me. AC lilt bit cold, i was freezing. But over all good enough
Pros: Nice bed!!! Beautiful balcony
Cons: Isolated location
Pros: location near Coca Cola
Cons: poor wifi
Pros: The staff was nice and helpfull
Cons: Cleanliness could be much better.
Pros: + Nice stay with clean room + Easy place to find food/culinary + Helpful staff
Pros: Nice views from room. Nice ambient nature. Clean room.
Cons: No choice dinner in hotel. No choice dinner in city. No toilet paper in room.
Pros: Sight from the balcony was quite nice and I think the place to eat as well. It was not really dirty but sink and bathroom wasn’t really clean.
Cons: The staff was ok but couldn’t speek a work english, I took my phone to translate but wifi was really really bad! They told us that they could bring us 7:30 in the morning to the busstation but 7:30 they didn’t remember or something and then they said that they still could bring us, but at the end there came a taxi at 7:45 and we had to pay too much for it.
Pros: I love the athmoshphere here, nice view, good wifi, nice room but no single room for single traveler.
Pros: Room is huge with a big, confortabel bed and a nice balcony, without noise. With grab or go-jek you can gonwherever you want realy quick and cheap. Nice and friendly staff. Overall really good experience
Cons: It is outside of Mengwi, not far by foot from the central bus station but without restaurants around. This can also be a good thing as you are in the nature surrounded by rice fields.
With a stay at Rumah Desa in Tua, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Jatiluwih and Jatiluwih Rice Fields. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
