Pros: We appreciated an old well maintained atmosphere
Pros: Friendly staff
When you stay at La Passagère in Abrest, you'll be next to a golf course and within a 5-minute drive of Kennedy Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing art deco house, full of period features and furniture, but also very comfortable. Swimming pool looked nice, but was sadly only there for a short stopover.
Cons: There is not much in the neighbourhood, nearest restaurants are in Vichy city centre.
Pros: Lovely welcoming hosts Able to put our bikes in garage Great support on the Ironman weekend Good breakfast Comfy bed Nice bathroom Enjoyed the pool
Cons: Would have like a bedside lamp on both sides of bed-not a deal breaker though!
Pros: Excellent reception on arrival, charming and interesting host who had spent a lot of time and effort to make his establishment a great place to stay.
Pros: Art Déco surroundings. Warm welcome Comfortable bed. Great breakfast impeccably presented.
Pros: The House is very beautiful 1930's Artdeco throughout. Bedroom was very nice with a spacious bathroom. The property was close to the place I was working so extremely convenient. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: There is no TV in the room which wasn’t such a bad thing.
Pros: it is a large old villa on a large park-like plot, very secluded and very green! The house is charming and completely furnished in Art-Deco style. Bed and bathroom are excellent. Distance to central Vichy about 3 km. Continental style breakfast of superb quality. Parking next to the house in the private park away from the road. The proprietor is also a collector of old cars but we did not ask to see them. Also there is a nice pool in the garden which would be an asset in summer weather.
Cons: I liked the house and the environment but I can imagine that other people may find it a bit quaint.
Pros: We slept well and enjoyed breakfast. The owner has collected a lot of the furniture from the period to give house the right atmosphere from the art deco era.
Cons: We enjoyed everything and the owner went out of his way to help us in a foreign country
Pros: Lovely place to stay. You had everything there that you needed. Access to a kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave. Pool area nice and relaxing. And the owners dog is just adorable. Can’t recommend enough.
Pros: Comfy bed, amazing shower, welcoming host, delicious breakfast, peaceful setting, immaculately decorated Art Deco property.
Pros: Hosts were very friendly, property is charming and homely. Good pool, amazing vintage car collection
Located in Saint-Yorre, Auberge Bourbonnaise is a 5-minute drive from Château de Busset and 7 minutes from Parc Naturel Regional Livradois-Forez. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Near are work for weekend. Quiet room.
Cons: Had to get heating turned back on and the shower was difficult to get right.
Pros: Clean, functional and excellent food in the restaurant
Cons: Restaurant lacked atmosphere, just 3 other people on a Saturday night. Small details like towels very threadbare could be improved.
Pros: We were just passing through, it was ok for what we wanted
Cons: Not much there in the shape of bars or supermarkets.
Pros: Very nice ... especially the pool
Cons: We came here for the ironman vichy event and participated, as a lot of other guests did as well. So we asked the owner if we can have hot water or a water boiler for the race morning to prepare our tea. He said no and that's it. I would recommend, when they have so many guest during race weekend who also participate at the race, the could offer a "race breakfast" (we had to leave around 5-5.30) in the morning. That would be a BIG plus!!!
Pros: Good location for visiting Vichy. Evening meal was good.
Cons: Lifeless atmosphere in the restaurant and limited menu. Problem with toilet twice in first evening; request to move room brusquely refused even though the hotel was far from full. Problem resolved on second day. Proprietor never once apologised or asked if we were satisfied. Swimming pool locked and unavailable two weeks after advertised opening day. Madame was quite friendly but the overall experience was not good.
