Our stay at Rotes Ross in Marktbergel far exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had the most perfect accomodations during our visit there. The location was great with plenty of off street parking. Eating dinner there every night was a treat all in it self. Thomas, Brita, and Chris work very hard to please the restaraunt guests and provide a meal and experience you will remember for a life time. I would definitely recommend to family or friends and cannot wait until we come back again. Thank you for an awesome stay.
Wonderful staff, very comfortable room and bed.
great meals, cozy atmsophere, friednly staff
Fantastic place to stay, 15 minute drive from rothenburg ob der tauber in small country town. Excellent restaurant is part of the hotel, gourmet food and very reasonable prices. Friendly service, excellent breakfast, recommended without reservation.
Incredible meals at the restaurant. Friendly staff. My wife didn't sleep well on the mattress, but I did.
Good architecture, design and location, excellent bathroom Everything is OK
We loved everything! The service, cleanliness, food and more! Nice room, well sized, super clean. Close to the Army Base where our son was. We could get to several great towns from this location. Night life? NONE.
I liked the proximity of Rothenburg O. T. in a beautiful countryside and with an excellent restaurante. No
the service is excellent, so are the breakfast and dinner, the rooms are large quiet and clean, and the free wifi is excellent, but the service was most memorable and we are recommending this hotel to our friends.
Good value for money. No cost for the dog. Nice restaurant to eat in in the evening, nice prices. The hotel is not very easy to find. Linden doesn´t exist on the map.
very good, comfortable, super cool in romantic street!!
Outstanding Service and friendly staff. The Location was only 10 minutes from Rothenberg - the purpose of our trip.
Very good price, clean, very nice staff, exellent food both in restaurang and at breakfast.
very clean room and wonderful breakfast. no hand soap
Nice hotel, with a location a short distance from Rothenburg, but away from the crowd. Good selection of items for breakfast, and working WiFi. Very clean, well kept The office is not at the hotel, but down the road as the restaurant. Difficult to get someone on staff who spoke English.
people are friend. apartment is clean, spacious, well equiped, with a nice yard. the town is very pretty! nice restaurant. nothing to complain.
near to the castle, quiet. food is good
the staff is very friendly ,very clean and comfortable rooms. very quite and beautiful place. it's the value for money hotel . in the evening they have a restaurant with nationality meals. no internet and if you stay long time it's missing.
The service and food were great. The owners were friendly and eager to please. I would highly recommend this Pension to anyone traveling in the area around Ansbach or Rottenburg. NO
the unavailabilry of transportation to Nuremberg
The location was central to a range of sight-seeing locations - Rothenburg, Wurzberg, Nuremburg, Castle / Romantic Roads. We were treated like family rather than customers. NA
The food is excellant. The Hofmann family goes above and beyond the norm to ensure that their guests are cared for. I recommend this Gasthaus highly to anyone.
Very welcoming staff. Delicious dinner. Wonderful breakfast. The new building, where we stayed, was very clean. Outstanding value for cost.
Staff performance, clean rooms, excellent food I couldn't find any ...
Located well off the beated path but within easy driving to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bad Windsheim, Ansbach and Dinkelsbuehl. Country/small town location, quiet, family friendly. Good meals in the pension restaurant.
Kind hotel staff, clean, nice, good breakfast. A really pleasent stay, we recomend it!
The couple who own this place were very accommodating and friendly. We booked one night and liked it so much we stayed two more. We ate all our breakfasts and dinners there while we day-tripped to Rothenberg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbuhl, Wurzburg, and Schwabisch Hall. We will go back if we are again in the area.
Courteous staff and nice amenities.
I liked the hotel. The staff was friendly and tried to help out as much as possible. The high speed internet in the rooms was slow and I had issues connecting.
restaurant closed at 9pm, despite the hotel information leaflit stating 10pm.We were sent to adjacent hotel for dinner. Bar closed at 10.30pm. No service available in the hotel after 10.30pm.
Comfort, famly atmosphere, position
It is such a friendly hotel. Before I accepted the room, the lady took me to see that room and another, so I had a choice. The meals in the restaurant are great, wonderful presentation, and very tasty meals. The town is also very nice to walk around and look at the sites. There is also an ice cream shop right near the hotel and the scoops are only 60 Euro cents for a very very large scoop.
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The noise level was quite loud. Even with the windows closed, all the noise from outside filtered into the room. I was awakened at 6 am to the trash collector. The parking was terrible. I had to buy a parking ticket that lasted only two hours. I had to go out and buy another one once that two hours was up.
The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Food was also delightful and is a must if you stay here.
very friendly and homely atmosphere excellent food and rooms very comfortable and clean.
Lovely hotel in a pretty town within easy reach, by train or car, of some beautiful cities and towns. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great food and breakfast. Small amount of road noise on rooms facing the small street but nothing major.
The staff is excellent, very helpfull and friendly. The food and service is outstanding.
The rooms were very clean. The staff was nice. We wanted to experience the German culture so we were happy to meet the local people. Great breakfast.
Nice little hotel! Very clean rooms. Big rooms, well not that big but there is much smaller also.
courtesy of staff
The friendliness, kindness and professionalism of staff, the cosy atmosphere of the hotel in its whole.
The location was great. The breakfast was free and very good and the staff was amazing!!
I think all of the things mention above i.e. comfort, cleanliness, service and value. There was one thing however, I'm sure you will not tear down the garage and make it larger.
Very convinient check-in/check out hours at Lobby
Pleasant personnel and surroundings
Staff was kind enough to even leave breakfast by the door since we had checked out prior to the reception desk opening.
Hotel is 4* in the centre of this small town. It is within easy walking distance of other restaurants and bars. Safe garage parking is an advantage. Room was bright and clean. No bad points to mention
breakfast was excellent. the room was spotless. Isaw the housekeeper scrubbing on her hands and knees. Remember it is a foreign hotel. Things were different, including the was the beds were made. Most of the staff were very friendly, but afew times were rude when needed info.
Good service, cleanlines, excellent breakfast buffet. I guess europeans don't believe in queen, king beds. All they have is two twin beds toghether. That was the only minus.
Away from the crowds and noise in Rothenburg, but an easy drive to see the sites. The price of the dinner meal was high as compared to the Castle Colmberg where the food and atmosphere were as good or better but, not as pricey.
Location. Food. No ensuite bathroom - toilet in another room further down the landing.
The owners were very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate and the dinner was equal to a 5 star restaurant.
- Very clean and comfortable. - Excellent breakfast. - Beautiful house.
A family business that makes you feel like an honored guest. We got there late and the owner stayed up to let us in. Very good people.
God Location for a trip to Rothenburg a.d. t., Würthsburg etc. Nice room, garden, restaurant, good services. Nice nature around.Good breakfast no.
the host were wonderfule
Halil ozdil is a gracious host who strives to please his guests. I enjoyed my stay at Pension Alstadt Garni very much and hope to stay there again.
Good staff. Good bed comfort. Excellent breakfast. The room was cold when we arrived.
I was ill for several days after arriving and staff was most gracious in bringing me breakfast to my room (it was included in the cost of the room). My trip was unexpected cut short and I had to leave after one week. The owner was unwilling to consider giving me a break on how much I owed him, despite the fact that when I left no one else was in residence. Directions on how to contact and whom to contact on arrival could have been much more detailed. It would have been good to have a "do not disturb" sign for my door.
The location is above a restaurant and walking distance to a few others and bars as well. The facility is newly renovated, very clean and presentable. The reception / registration office is located in the back and not clearly marked. I had the only single room and due to the location in the corner, had to take my computer elsewhere to maintain a decent connection with the internet.
Room was ok This is not a very good place to arrive, there are no signs about where to enter breakfast nor any other information. Owner is not a very good at german. I had to open my laptop go on the internet to find the telefon # of the owner.
The owner and staff went out of their way to accomodate me despite several interruptions in my travel which delayed my arrival.
Clean, spacious and quiet. Good breakfast. Friendly lady (owner?) but note no English spoken. Bad Winnesheim is a lovely town but with so many old towns in the area not on the tourist track unless you want the spa - but we found it delightful and with easy and cheap train access to Rothenberg and other towns on the Romantic road. Smell of adjacent restuarant from the alley to enter rooms (but this did not enter rooms).
The couple that ran the Pension were very nice. They didn't speak English but that wasn't a problem for me and if necessary the man that ran the restaurant speaks excellent English. We had a choice of two rooms; smaller with few stairs and larger one with more stairs; we chose the smaller one. The included breakfast was very nice and fresh. The price was not cheap, but it was much less expensive than the other places nearby. The spa/resort nearby has made it harder to find really cheap places to stay.
