excellent view of town & mountains from balcony lack of parking in area + noisy building site across road (in mornings)
The village of Frigiliana is picturesque and has a number of excellent restaurants (particularly recommend the El Mirador and La Taberna del Sacristan). The view from the room, across the valley, is lovely The pool was always in the shade and therefore cold, there was no poolside bar and the hot food, cereals and drinks at breakfast were of inferior quality when compared to the UK, although the cold meats, fruit and breads were very good
Cleanliness, staff friendliness, good breakfast (included) and spectacular views On the main road
convenient location Staff on reception were not helpful.
The situation of the hotel in the village no
Pleasent surroudings, with nice pool for coling off. Very well situated with excellent views. Rather epensive.
location rooms are very cold in winter - the ac is not very effective. rooms have stone floors - need rugs in winter: bathrooms are unheated so again not ideal for winter months deluxe rooms have balconies which overlook the car park!
Location, cleanliness, great restaurants and shops within walking distance Hotel staff is almost non existent. We had no one there to check us in, but we found the manager in the bar. Parking is expensive. $35 Euros a day
the location was perfect, right across from the thursday morning market, and at the entrance to the new town. breakfast was good. nice balcony
The Almazara is truly first-rate. We were very impessed with the location on the outskirts of Nerja and easily for the autoroute. Our room was spacious and comfortable and enjoyed really effective air-con. We also had a big veranda overlooking the swimming pool. Finally, the hotel's restaurant offers a really good authentic menu at a reasonable price.
Ideal location, easy to find; excellent pool; attractive dining terrace The unnecessary little "rules" indicated by notices in rooms and breakfast table - forbidden to remove food from dining room, forbidden to bring food into room, charge to put any items in the fridge...
The hotel had a beautiful location between Nerja's beaches and Frigiliana's little village. From the hotel you'll see the mountains around you and the sea. The staff were very friendly and did their best to accomodate all of our requests. Very good price/quality!
It was convenient for Nerja and very competitively priced. The food and service in the restaurant was of a high standard. The restrictions on the use of the fridge in the hotel room were slightly OTT - you couldn't put your own water in it without paying a supplement -but this was a nuisance more than a problem.
Location, beautiful building, nice rooms, good pool, good food, cleanliness, friendly staff English Satellite TV would be nice in a hotel with many British guests
The view from the hotel was stunning No english speaking staff, food was poor, service was poor, facilities poor, pool was dirty
This was more of a traditional Spanish hotel so you certainly felt you were away from any british influences. The restaurant area provided great views and a reasonable choice, staff were very helpful. The swimming pool area was generally quite and very welcome during the heat wave. We did request a double bed but ended up with 2 singles, not a great problem for only 2 night stay.
restaurant, and restaurant staff excellent. Pool good. Design of building very pleasant. hair driers in rooms are expected these days and lack was a nuisance.
Hello........the only negative comment that I would have about the hotel, would be getting there and the parking, which was so difficult, the picture of the hotel, and parking is not realistic to the parking facilities. but lovely rustic hotel, everything eles was good. debbie .spain
There was an extremley relaxed atmostphere and we were also made to feel extremely welcome. The breakfast was also a nice surprise and had a wid selection on offer. Our 3 year old daughter was also made welcome and made a fuss of which was nice.
The very helpful staff and the generous breakfast
Excellent design, superb location close to pubs and restaurants.Staff could not have been more helpful.Would be greatly enhanced by having a small bar! It was initially difficult to find, clearer directions of best point of access i.e. Public underground carpark would have helped.
The hotel was in a prime location
A brand new hotel with all mod cons. flat screen tv with English channels, lovely pool and roof terrace. Very clean, large balcony. Basic continental breakfast but sufficient. Booked again for next year. Nothing
The only bad point was that there were only seven sun beds and a few chairs which was really inadequate for the number of guests, and the hotel was full for most of our stay.
Friendly, helpful staff. trendy hotel, very good value for money, superb location.
Centrally located. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Nice people and good breakfast. Still a construction site, but I know, that is just a question of time.
The room is cleaned daily and there is plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. There is a (full size) fridge and hairdryer in each room and communal microwave and free internet. The roof terrace is lovely. There are one or two things that could do with modernising.
Very good hostel, nice small city
The staff at the hotel were helpful and pleasant and the location was excellent.
staff very helpful and pleasant room and bathroom of a high standard free internet and microwave downstairs air conditioning did not work no english t.v. only spanish a kettle in the room would have been useful and perhaps 2 ring cooker, but worth the money
Hostel was clean, well equipped, the stuff was very helpful and reliable. Very good location. I would recommend it to anybody - both those who like comfort, and those who are looking for not expensive location. It`s a perfect compromise.
it was nice stay , and the staff very cooperative no meal
I liked the location, calle pintada has lots of shops etc, is near the bus station. hotel is clean and rooms cleaned daily. I was surpised to find that when I went to settle my bill 2 days before check out, they had already taken the money from my account, this was despite the fact that on check in I had told them I preferred to pay in full later in the week.
This was good value for money, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The provision of free internet access for guests was very useful. The location is very central and convenient.
simple hotel in the centre of town, basic, friendly staff, clean sheets and sunshine! room was a wee bit small but had everything you needed
Staff very good, attentive and helpful. Room and facilities quite clean. Room small. No seating. Only a small near single sized bed and one long pillow for the two of us. No fridge. Room and hallways quite loud which was a problem at night. Expected more than what was provided( paid $120 CDN/nite) .
The staff were excellent the hotel very clean and excellent value for money
Hotel was in a good location near to all local facilities. Views of mountains from hotel balcony, and roof-top pool available. Hotel has its own cafeteria next door which is handy for breakfast. The only thing that the room lacked was a fridge so there was nowhere to keep drinks cool overnight.
the staff were friendly the room was clean and comfortable and the price was good value for money i have stayed at the Bajamar before and the hotel is located central for Nerja and will hopefully stay there again
The location was excellent. However from early morning continuous noise from upstairs rooms and noise on street very loud also from early morning. Noise levels
The lift when you arrive - no humping bags up stairs! The pool- great to be able to swim straight away! The rooms are clean ans spacious - the beds comfy. The staff are pleasant and unobtrusive.
Despite its location on a busy corner, I found the Bajamar very peaceful and comfortable. Everything worked! Parking the car was a challenge as many cars are permanently parked outside.
Staff very friendly and helpful, good location, rooms very spacious.
Charm hotel with great view on the mountains and the sea. We stayed just one night but enough already to appreciate also the excellent welcome.
Hotel La Posada Morisca is a charming, quiet hotel with a beautiful vieuw. The personal was very friendly en helpfull.
rustical, but well adapted rooms; good breakfast buffet; pleasant, small hotel no internet
We liked the location away from the centre of Frigiliana. The view from the room window was fantastic by day and by night. We found the restaurant very limiting as there were only two fish dishes available, in spite of the fact that there was plenty of fish available in Frigiliana a couple of kilometres away. The rooms were on the smallish side and we informed the hotel that the shower drain was blocked but this was not addressed during our stay.
Location, balcony, breakfast buffet.
the quite and the view no
very friendly family who runs this hotel, very nice decorated rooms with a stove for the cold nights!! The view was stunning
Very peaceful and quiet hotel, and very rustic
the view over de ocean, quietness and it is very romantic
a very central hostal .very friendly staff.excellent accomodation.the owner was very helpfull in our interest to look for property in Nerja. Our overall stay on our anniversary was super, during the Semana Santa week.well recomended Hostal for any occasion. None.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
it was clean with good service ,it was good value for what we paid
The location was quite central with it being just a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Great value for money. The walls are a little thin and you can hear people coming in at night etc but the price compensates for this
very good english breakfast quite slow in getting served at breakfast.
Great value and lovely busy spanish atmosphere-didnt eat in the restaraunt but menu looked good and reasnable. We had breatfast included in our rate and you could have whatever you wanted including a full english breakfast.Going again this weekend to meet family Parking. is always a problem in Nerja-none available at hotel
The hostal was in a central location in walking distance to local transport, the cultural centre and plenty of bars and restaurants. The staff couldn't have be more helpful and the rooms, although simply furnished, were comfortable, air conditioned, and spotless, with a daily cleaning service and change of towels. The restaurant and bar below served an excellent menu and the prices were reasonable. The gentleman who looked after the bar was particularly friendly and went out of his way to make your stay a pleasent one. I would recommend this hostal to anyone. Would not be suitable for anyone who was disturbed by traffic noise, as it is situated on a very busy main road.
good position for tourist reasonable prices. during our stay which was our second visit this year we found the hotel more noisy during the night early hours.which we did not have previously.
Location was good Traffic noise
Nice, clean room with great airconditioning. The hotel is fairly small and gives a at-home feeling. Great lunch deal (menu del dia) in restaurant. Wonderful food for great value. No parking. Have to park in public parking near by.
The Hostal was lovely inside and the lady in charge very helpful. Although there was a kettle, 2 beakers and a spoon there was no tea or coffee or chocolate to make a drink with which seemed a shame and we did not have enough spanish to explain.
Great location. A little noisy in the morning, but I was lying in.
It was convenient for us to stay the night, however we would have liked tea and coffee facilities if we were staying longer than the one night I don't see any point in putting a kettle and cups without the coffee, tea and milk. We had to go to the local supermarket to buy milk etc. I do think the reception staff should have some knowledge of English, I speak Spanish as I live here but other tourists would fail to understand the receptionists requests.
Parking nearby beside Nerja Princess (same road) 10 min walk to Balcon de Europa, friendly staff, exceptionally clean. Always plenty of hot water, but had to let shower run for a good 5 - 7 mins first (waste of water) to warm up! Also, no safety deposit box.
It was very convenient, comfortable and reasonably priced.
The hotel was very clean, everything worked and it was well located a few minutes walk from the heart of the town.
Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great locotion to reach beach and shops. There were no balconies with our room even thought the booking confirmation said that there were two. The credit card machine did not work on check out so we had to walk to a chash machine and back to pay the bill.
Very central location, close to the beaches. I'm 1.75m tall and the bed was far too short, noisy with mopeds traversing the alley way below and noisy evening diners sitting outside enjoying late dinners. Internet only available if you have your own laptop.
the hostal was well located and only 5 mins from the town centre and the owners and staff were pleasant .
Excellent standard for a one-star-hotel, more comparable to three stars. We had a nice clean room with 2 French balkonies, TV, air condition, water heater for preparation of tea/coffee. The hotel is in a nice environment, near to the centre (and the beach) but in a calm part of the town (for Spain ! ;-) ). Supermarket in 50 m distance, several restaurants near to the hotel.
very clean, nice, small hotel with exelent location and special andalucian sharm! pleasant, english speaking helpful staff! sufficient breakfast! i really enjoyed my stay at this hotel!! room was rather small but it was ok for single person
excellent location breakfast not served until 0930 each day
fantastic location in the centre of Nerja backing onto gardens leading down to cliffs and Med, swimming fine at end October. We had an ordinary double room without view, but top floor apartment with terrace overlooking sea would be our choice next time. Thoroughly 100% recommended. nothing, apart from pinkish 'ham' at breakfast
Actually, we did not stay at the Hostal, but in a separate apartment in a central pedestrian street, calm in this period of the year (November; be careful, you cannot reach it by car), . The apartment was very well equipped, with a private roof terrace with a wonderful view on the mountain and the sea. a faint smell of fried fish from the restaurants below
The central location, the beach very near, the free connction internet.
close to easy free parking. close to lovely little beach. homely feel. room was a bit small but for the money it was fine.
Represented good value for money. Central to most amenities. Clean comfortable rooms. Coffee/tea in rooms. Breakfast area a little cramped. Lack of vehicle access to the hotel.
Nice Hostal, less comfort but very lovely. Monotonous (diverse lot) breakfast
Great position, quiet location but only a 5 minute walk from the main centre, the Balcon and the beach.
Staff,location,cleaness Beds too hard
the bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was clean There were no tea making facilities in the room
Rooms are clean and they have a good breakfast (quite a lot of choice and chip). The hotel is just beside the famous caves. The stuff is very helpful and cheering. Basically you get what you pay for. The room was small. and you need a car to get to Nerja and generally to get around. Is very close to the highway then the view is not too nice.
Very well situated and nice that we could leave the car in the hotel car park and take the local bus anywhere, hotel very friendly would stay there again.
The Al Andalus was wonderful. The staff were friendly; the rooms comfortable and the air conditoning cool as it was hot weather. The pool was fantastic and the gardens very pretty. The food was excellent and the whole experience was wonderful. The motor-way was close but in the rooms you did not hear the traffic. The clientele too were fantastic and we shall certainly return in the very near future. Nerja is only 8 minutes away by car and very cosmopolitan.
A good location not too far from the beaches & Nerja Caves. Pleasant indoor & outdoor eating areas & good food. We had a mini-suite, but the bath was tiny - unusable except as a shower.
a relaxing few days It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making in the room this would have made it perfect
the room was clean and basic and good value for money.
Nice and quiet location, always clean, polite staff, good value for money
Very friendly staff. Good WiFi reception. Clean room. Difficult to find parking.
Curteous, friendly staff
Convenience to the town, felt secure, friendly staff NO
Very clean modern room, warm welcome, great location....excellent value..Air con a bonus Only the directions provided by booking service......impossible to find from those.....
Excellent location, friendly and very helpfull staff, the room was nice and clean. No fridge in the rooms.
It locates very close to the bus station and the European balcony.
Very good location - near to beach, restaurants etc. but far enough up the main street to miss the noise from those facilities.
Its services and facilities, the owners lent us parasols and beach stuffs. And there was a small kitchen for everyone use. Very Nice !! Plus thé swimming pool ! There was no TV in our room although it was said so in the description of the rooms
Very relaxing with helpful friendly owners.
It was really nice! no doubts, no problems! I would really recommend it;
Great people running it, pool in back garden, free wi-fi, good location
The owners very friendly and helpful, clean comfortable rooms and and a good location. I would certainly stay here again.
Friendly and helpful reception. Lovely clean and comfortable room with lovely sea view. Will return again and recommend to others. Very Nice. All was perfect.
Fabulous location, friendly helpful staff, lovely clean large room. Would definitely stay there again.
We have stayed at this hotel 3 times before. We like the central location on the Balcon and the budget prices. We would like you to open earlier in the mornings
Great location and staff, clean and quiet. least expensive place we stayed in Spain.
We found it excellent value for money, comfortable and clean. only stayed for 2 nights but were very satiisfied with our accommodation.
Location. sea views.church and shops,
Great staff Carmen at Reception & Antonio in the Bar in particular Food was only OK & one of the A/C units was a bit weak (we had 2 rooms)
good location and breakfast
good base but difficult to park near
Some of the reception staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a good size for 3 people. Breakfast quite good. The situation of the Hotel was very good for the centre of the resort and to the beach. Hotel quite tired and the beds were very uncomfortable. No English TV channels, although it stated there was and only recorded music available throughout the Hotel on each radio in the rooms. Situation of room very bad as it looked over a Disco.
friendly relaxed and good value room air conditioning was a bit hit and miss i did not folllow it up so not that bad
Staff is very friendly, prices are low, clean and cozy room. Tasty breakfast. Air-conditioner. Strange mattress on the bed I put away. No balcony, small room, no possibility to dry a towel after the beach. A lot of old men.
The French style decor. Helpfulness of the staff in general. Location easy to find/ Perhaps the breakfast could have been a bit fresher. We came down at 9 am and things were a little dried up. However we enjoyed what we had as there were plenty of options.
Rooftop facilities for sunbathing, which we used for five hours. The set up of the breakfast room was somewhat cramped, and led to delays inserving oneself. The quality of food was good.
sea view was great - secure parking was extremely convenient - very nice location
sea view easy access
Though it was a brief time that we spent there we were made very welcome and will definitely be going back for a longer stay.
Easy access to the beaches and the town Mildly disappointed with the breakfast mainly the quality of the jam and the fruit juice but it was perfectly adequate.
Hotel is situated perfectly for me i.e. very near to the centre but far enough to be in the calm neigbourhood (you can sleep and rest easily). Quite nice rooms but only in the building situated far from the sea (it is still not more than 50 metres). One guy at the reception desk was very helpful (he really did his best to change our room and thanks to this we are glad of our stay in the hotel in general). The building near the beach urgently needs renovation. Very bad breakfasts and it is not about the choice you have. It is about the quality of the food. They should consider changing of the provider of the food they serve with special attention to: juices (unacceptable), coffee (acceptable only with a lot of milk in it), jams (I have never seen anything like that before). And one more thing... they have charged me for the stay not even without my acceptance but also without any information about this fact! Really annoying and completely unacceptable in my opinion.
The hotel is well located to sit in the bar right next to the beach and watch the sunsets. About 15 minutes walk into the centre of Nerja and only a couple of minutes from restaurants and bars. Public areas were very pleasant. We had a 'suite' but there was no room for a bedside cabinet on one side of the bed and to get into the bed you had to climb from the bottom. The bed was not very comfortable. The plastic furniture on the balcony was broken and the cleanliness of the room was not great. Breakfasts were poor. Dancing was promised but never happened.
The hotel was lovely, clean, friendly staff, in a good location on the beach and close to Balcon de Europa. The food was very bland and not much choice, only had a meal there once.
Romantic beachfront hotel, many of the rooms were twin and had to request a double however, all in
Sea View, warm room, friendly staff, close to all amenities, car parking facilities. A bit expensive for this time of year. No in room tea, coffee etc, poor in-house four star facilities.
It was easy to get around Nerja from this hotel but slightly out of the centre so very quiet.
The location was good. Close to the beach and bus station. The staff were not helpful. They didn't have good attitude and were not very welcoming.
Friendly Staff' 3 minutes walk/stroll from town centre, 5 min. from good beach
comfort and location that the appartment did not have Wifi as advertised
the friendly staff and cute baby! not applicable
Felt typically Spanish. Friendly atmosphere. Good location. Great value for money.
the room is big and clean. and the window could prevent efficiently those noisy from outside. when we checked out in the 8:00am, there's no one at the recption.
Comfortable bed, very clean, location
close to shops + restaurants and very good value for money+ we extended our stay nothing
Well equiped and maintained appartment, Very clean, Completely airconditioned, Good value for money, Hostile staff. In centre of Nerja, walking distance to beaches and shops. Just outside overcrowded (in summer) shopping area. None
I cannot believe the value for money. No frills, but at those prices you weren't going to get this.
Its a great little Hostal central and value for money shame that they have taken away the small breckfast even a coffee would have been great!
The hotel is very central, clean, and good value for money Be aware that reception is closed between 2-5pm.
Lots of light and quiet Wardrobe was dirty, fridge wasnt very cold, tv reception was bad, we wanted a double bed but had to push the beds together instead.
Location, clean, price
Weather for November was excellent. The hostal was well located being within walking distance of the bus station, the beaches and bars. The price of the hostal was unbelievably cheap. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sound-proofing of the rooms very poor. The TV signal was in and out.
Central location, rooms cleaned every day, very well kept hostel. No hairdryer.
good location, the room is comfort and clean, nice breakfast
Located on a fairly quiet street compared to others in area. Room at the back in quietest.. The room had a bath as well as shower, Lots of hot water. Breakfast fairly basic so we ate at little square round the corner. 20-25 min walk from Balcon Breakfast. All the door hinges need oiling, especially front door!
