We had a very pleasurable stay. The hotel was in a quiet location, but very close to the center of town and easy to get to other destinations. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and having a lovely view from our balcony. Overall our stay was very relaxing and pleasant in the midst of an extremely busy month of travel. None
the stuff was wonderful very helpful and always nice breakfast is served in a very nice space. it is very easy to go for trips from there
Very relaxing after a drive and pleasant informality but a high standard of service and comfort. Disappointed that there were no evening eating facilities and the TV channels weren't what they said they were!
Lovelu country side around with Dourdogne river and castles.
Situation and grounds Lack of staff at times - it seemed a bit deserted
peace and quiet, very nice breakfast, relaxing milieu...would definitely return here wi-fi not accessible from bedroom
charming hotel with excellent service and facilities in a garden seting within walking distance of Sarlat. The grounds were beautiful with a plants and lovely pool and deck. The owners and staff were freindly and caring and made our stay delightful. Excellent buffet breakfast as well. I would highly recommend this hotel. nothing
The pool and the restuarant No
It's a original hotel, a nice place with a beautiful park and a lake. We had a room with a terrace, very quiet, we had the impression to be in the middle of a forest although we were very near old Sarlat. The garden and the pool looked very nice and breakfast was served till noon! The road is very dark, there are no lights to show you the way. It's no problem if you know it, but for the first day it's better if your arrive with daylight.
A converted monstry set in a beautiful location 2.4 Km from the carrousel in Sarlat (45 min. stroll but road busy when you leave the side road from Hotel) Very well laid out and a credit to the owner who designed it. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel was very clean, room appeared a little dark at first, but kept with old design of the building. Staff were excellent and helpful. Plesently supprised by the lack of insects considering its country setting. Loungers on the terraces. Took a while to locate the dusbin in the bottom drawer in bathroom. Pool was lovely, appeared to be a safe place for young children as they could not access the pool are without an adult due to the child (and sometimes adult) proof latches. Air conditioning in the room poorly located and due to this was not as effective as it could have been. There is no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. One supprise for a family run hotel was that the oweners never introduced themselves and it took us a while to figure out who the owners were but they were friendly and helpful.
It was very clean.
The staff was very helpful. On street parking was fairly easy to find. Location to medieval city was convenient.
withing walking distance to town, car parking out the back, free wifi, comfortable nights sleep. airconditioner did not work on the 3rd night, noisy with traffice outside window, no lift to get luggage up and down floors.
Convenience to cite village Toilet has a strong sewage smell. Cleaning lady keeps opening & coming into our room in the morning when we are in and out of the hotel. Privacy issue.
I liked the friendly owner, the location, the sfficiency, the parking and the very nice breakfast.
Room was spacious. Well located a quarter mile from the old town. Manager was very gracious and helpful. There is no lift. Towels and bathmats were a little shabby.
Perfectly located for exploring Sarlat with its own car park which helped. The rooms were attractive, clean and comfortable.
went to a wedding in domme.
Air conditioning worked and was very welcome The manager very kindly put all our picnic stuff in his fridge overnight and re-froze our freezer packs Thought breakfast expensive for poor buffet spread. We went into the square where there was a market and for a fraction of the price we ate like kings with sunshine and great atmosphere
We booked a superior room and it lived up to its name. The decor was lovely and the room was quite large. We enjoyed the high level of comfort and facilities. The stairs up to the second floor were narrow and steep. There was no lift.
We booked the junior siute for our 25th wedding anniversary and were delighted with the accommodation. Had dinner onthe night of our anniversary and though the service was good the sommalier lost interest leaving us to pour the second half of the bottle ourselves.
Our room was very comfortable and suited our needs well. Access to and from parking was a little difficult, especially at night. The garden area was very lovely. We ate one dinner in the restaurant, which was disappointing as to quality and value. Our meal was not consistent with a "fine dining" reputation.
The garden. the ambience. the staff and beautiful food all excellent.
It was so pleasant and comfortable. Food and food service was wonderful and fresh. Nice walk into the village and museum and great location to explore all the prehistoric sites plus the church beyond the the back garden is not to be missed as a fortified church. The pool could use an update. The other guest reviews seem harsh. We had a room overlooking front courtyard and there was no road noise and we stayed for 4 nights. Parking was limited in regular space but enough spaces on sides of hotel.
We loved the feeling of decor, the proprietors, the amazing garden with pool - and the food was a gastronome's delight - impeccable service and quality - presentation - and the outdoor terrace are beyond description.
The quality/design of the rooms, fixtures and fittings - in particular a very comfy bed. The facilities of the hotel/gardens were really nice.
The staff were wonderful, really helpful, warm and welcoming. Really some of the nicest people I have ever been met in a hotel. It was handily situated, attractive and clean and had a nice feel. The reception and exterior was lovely. The breakfast was good value also. I didnt really like the room, which I didnt mention to the staff because they were so nice. The beds were very soft and had a french style bolster, the room had mad flowery wallpaper and no built in shower, although the shower head in the bath was adequate it wasnt aesthetically pleasing. Better beds, plain coloured walls and a shower on the wall would make it perfect.
Excellent location with a great swimming pool. Triple room was quite cramped and decor was dated. It was expensive for the facilities.
Receptionist spoke good english and provided helpful information about the area. The swimming pool was very nice and clean, just a bit cold, but the weather was lousy anyway during our stay. The hotel groiunds are well maintained and there is a lovely little garden at the back, leading down to a stream. I would have preferred a duvet on the bed, rather than blankets. The bathroom did not have adequate shower facility, only a bath. A kettle in the room would have been helpful.
It was a charming setting and the staff was very helpful. the room was perfect for the 3 of us. The only problem was that we needed to have the windows open for fresh air and the street noise prevented us from getting much sleep. Perhaps a fan would help. We had one in London and it was a great and easy solution.
Well organised, easy access to rooms, good pool for swimming, friendly & informative staff, good breakfast available without fuss.
Relaxed and friendly staff made stay there very enjoyable. Hotel is certainly the best positioned in the town. Great swimming pool and gardens. Would not say we did not like but felt there was a lack of choice of breakfast items.
Location, facilities (swimming pool) and friendiness of staff. no air conditioning in room
Quiet location but very convenient for village - 5 minutes walk, which has all the facilities you would need. Staff could not be more helpful Storage for clothes is a little limited.
Traditional hotel. Rooms well furnished bright and airy, friendly staff, secure parking. A five minute walk to the centre of Saumur - really worth a visit
It was a nice location within walking distance of village, shops and restaurants and with a nice pool area. The decor was extremely dated on the inside of the hotel. Bathrooms were small and lacked ventilation, drain smells. No A/C
hotel receptionist Diane was most qccommodating about setting up an excursuion to the world famous grotte de lascaux. rooms are clean, and the coffee served at breakfast was excellent, similar to my own morning brew at home. Located within sight of the old town and city center, cab fare tot the train is - euros if it cant be coordinated with the regional bus whose service is very sporadic. If/ when id ever visit the area again, id certainly stay at the same place breakfast could have been more plentiful. There were no croissants, charcuterie? or oefs durs.
Charming old building. Great location, close to public transport (walking distance from station and bus across the road) and best of all just a stone's throw from the amazing medieval city.
The service was exemplary, the breakfast was delicious and the location was stunning. The bathroom was shabby and the room was too cramped for two people.
Very close to center of the town, good value for the money, no extra charge for kid's bed. Breakfast should be included in the price, even if they raise the price of the room with a few euro.
Close to centre of Sarlat, comfortable
Close proximity to the town. Not easy to find parking - the lot across the street was entirely packed and we had to park approx 500m away.
Confortable, stylish bedroom, friendly staff, good location, very good value.
Stuffs were so kind and gentle. We stayed 3 nights here and enjyoed the town of Sarlat till late at night. This hotel was only 3 buildings next to the post office, which was very convenient to send out the cans and bottles of local gourmet products. If I mention a problem, there was no air conditioning unit in the room. However, the night in Sarlat was cool enough to have good sleeps with the window opend when we stayed here in september. It is not expensive and the location to the city was exellent. Good cost performance.
close to town centre breakfast poor. Hotel bar also poor-closed at 9.15p.m. on Saturday evening-returned to town for our nightcap!
The hotel was within walking distance of the city, so very convenient. Room was comfortable Not really a complaint but the hotel as a whole was quite warm, althought don't take this too seriously as I don't like to warm generally!
Good restaurant, great location
The hotel was quiet & calm & relaxing. The food was good, the staff very good and the ambience excellent. We did not have enough pillows & what we had were not very good quality. We had to have the window closed because of the noise of the traffic over the railway crossing but we were too warm & lacked fresh air during the night.
Room was lovely, staff pleasant and excellent value for money. Highly recommended. Our room faced the road and was a bit loud. Also no air conditioning and it was quite hot (although this is common in Europe.)
Valerie (co-owner with husband Laurent) speaks English well and was very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of several archaeological sites and near decorated caves we visited. Laurent is the chef, and dinner here was my favorite of the entire trip to France.
Lovely hotel, very comfortable lounge and restaurant, bed room spacious but poor sound proofing between rooms!
Especially, dinner was good !! It's small problem but there's only one English speaker
A very homely, comfortable and welcoming host. Very nice spacious room with nice oputlook. Will definetly return. No.
In general, our stay was positive. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant and the staff was quite cordial. There definitely needs to be an elevator in the hotel. We had people with bad knees and bad backs in our party and had to lean on the staff for baggage carrying. The twin beds could have more firm mattresses.
I loved how the rock came into the hotel itself, making it a part of the reason I visited this area. The food was wonderful as well. Wish I had been there when it was warmer so I could try the lovely looking pool. I think the breakfast should be included in the price.
The attention to service was perfect, with our breakfast served on the terrace, cushions brought unobtrusively for the loungers and chairs outside. We were helped with restaurant bookings and other arrangements. There isn't a restaurant at the hotel itself, which may put some people off, although there are so many restaurants within easy walking distance in Sarlat that it really is no problem.
The staff was exceptional and very helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent.
Clos La Boetie is a very comfortable hotel and a pleasant stroll away from the numerous shops and restaurants of Sarlat. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast we has on the morning we left was lovely. The hotel is pricey but you have to pay that for the peacefulness.
The location in Sarlat was excellent - a short stroll in to the medieval town but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic that built up particularly in the weekends. Our room was spacious (we upgraded) and tastefully decorated with lots of natural light and very modern bathrooms. Not having a hand basin in the toilet was not ideal.
Everything, beautiful room, outstanding decoration and taste and attention to detail. Extremely helpful and delightful staff. Luxury not usual in Europe No
Amazing room, gorgeous bathroom, great bed - best sleep ever, excellent friendly service
Very good stay but overpriced . Shares a pool with another hotel.
Very clean. Quiet. Luxury. Rooms are excellently equipped. The heated pool is unique (indoors/outdoors). Missing restaurant. There is no coffee/tea making facility in the rooms. Parking is a problem.
Privacy and luxury. Excellent staffing.
Lovely room, bathroom, facilities etc Air con unit was located behind the curtains which made it a bit ineffective when the curtains were closed. Breakfast expensive at 20 euros each. No tea/coffee facilities in room (though this is typical of most French hotels)
Very charming, clean and comfortable small hotel in a walking distance to the old city. The room is not very large but well arranged as to allow longer stays. Beautiful swimming pool. Very good breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful.
This is a gorgeous place to stay. The family that runs it does not have good English, but are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15mins walk from town (up/down hill). If you are staying in Sarlat, and have any intention of exploring the Dordogne, you need a car.
Nice location in Sarlat mountain top, but no elevator so we stayed at a motel type room. Poor access to town. My complaint is we did reserve for 2 nites and stayed one because we had to leave yet they insisted on charging for the 2 nites. Having been a very frequent user of Booking I really resent that we were put in that position. Please advise.
The hotel was clean and modern. The towels were plush and the bed linen was of a high quality. It was perched high on the hill overlooking Sarlat which did provide a nice view out of the little attic window but it also meant that the walk home from dinner was energetic and tiring. It is not very far from town, but it is all up some quite steep hills. Not really, but our room was on the top floor and we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. Just something to be aware of, I guess.
access to the town also the hotel facilities ie pool. plus the views
Clean, new, superb staff support, location vis-a-vis Sarlat are to us the highlights or our stay at Bon Encontre.
The hotel was spotlessly clean.
New hotel, nice and high quality equipment, quiet and super clean room. Room should be somewhat bigger to be really comfortable.
Very clean and quiet, close to town. I think the breakfast could be much better for the price.....all packaged, processed food. Wish we had just gone to a bakery for croissants and hot chocolate.
Staff very helpful and friendly and provided a good level of service. Good location. Upper floor rooms had low headroom, but we were able to change to lower floor.
The staff were pleasant. The room we had was v good and large. Lot of plumbing noises from other rooms! Breakfast. We thought the breakfast was poor. We were considering going out for breakfast as there was no fresh bread and the menu was limited. We did point this out to the staff.
Fabulous location. Swimming pool and room beautiful. Dinner very good. Breakfast poor with little choice. Room bathrooms not working, leaking shower. Too many fake flowers.
We had a room with a balcony on which there was a table, chairs, lounge chairs etc... It was great to sit out there and sip a bottle of wine looking at the chateaux lit up at night. I also loved the fact that there was a small fridge in the room...... now if only there had been a coffee maker and internet access for those of us who do not carry laptops or Ipads...
We stayed for one night at the end of our holiday, it was the perfect place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the view superb, overlooking fields of corn and asparagas, and at night the surrounding chateaux were lit, very romantic. The swimming pool was very welcome on a hot day and clean. The staff were pleasant and at least one spoke very good English. I would stay again. Breakfast was ok but small for the price!
Good central location for key sights in Perigord Noir. Next to busyish main road, so some traffic noise in rooms on the road side of the hotel. Fantastic views over to nearby castles, so the name of the hotel is a good description. Nice terrace (with pool) with views over the valley and to the hotels. Good restaurant, with lovely food, which was a highlight of our stay in the area. Compact bedroom, with limited storage space for clothes, so felt a little like living out of a suitcase, given that we were there 3 nights.
The room was clean and convenient to the castle area. There is a pool that was sparkling clean but too cold to use in June. We will probably try another hotel in the area when we return. Our room was on the third floor and no elevator, it was hard to negotiate with a large suitcase. We ate dinner the first evening and paid a great deal for very badly prepared chicken which was extremely tough and did not come off the bone. The vegetables were unimaginative and the desert was rather bland. We did not eat there again. We had to ask three times for more bath tissue, a light was broken in the bathroom over the sink and there were two other lights bulbs out in the room. Children who lived at the hotel woke us one morning. There were no extra plugs to charge cameras and cell phones in our room.
Location was good for touring the Dordogne area. Pool was nice after a hot day sightseeing. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - superb food and service. Morning checkout was slow due to only one person doing breakfast service and reception.
The pool was absolutely wonderful. The food brilliant & room ok. The hotel in a good location. No drawers to put clothes in & due to the heat a fan would have been usseful. No extracter fan in the bathroom which, once you had had a shower made the room unbearable.
The hotel was within easy walking distance of the town which was a delight to visit. Our room was beautifully spacious. No.
Super position for walking into the centre of Sarlat. Staff at reception frosty - again. Breakfast not good value - 12 Euros for a mediocre breakfast that is poor in comparison to others at this price.
The hotel was of a very good standard and couldn't fault it. 5 minutes walk into Sarlat. Plenty off road parking. Everything I requested about the bedroom, I automatically got. Didn't have breakfast their but the Dining Room looked very nice. I do think 12 Euros is quite alot for breakfast but is the same price in all the hotels we stayed at.
A modern comfortable hotel close to the old town, with free on street parking
Close to old town Meal facilities not easily available
Great location within walking distance of the town
close to the town centre, friendly staff, good pool, air con stopped working part way through the night
easily accessable to main tourist area
friendly staff, very accommodating and helpful and the balconies were very beautiful and relaxing. They even borrowed us an umbrella for a night! the extra charge for the parking
swimming pool nothing
Restaurant excellent and good value good lcoation of hotel for visiting the town Difficult to park outside of hotel to drop baggage off as no facility for cars to even temporarily park close to hotel some of receptionist staff struggled with english as much as we struggle with french
Front desk staff wasn't very friendly
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was poor. Didnt have what we wanted o the menu and quite expensive.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and air-conditioned. The pool was an unexpected bonus really. It is literally one hundred metres from the 'quartier sauvegardé" (the preserved historical part) of Sarlat and the surrounding villages and countryside are almost breath-taking in their beauty. Sadly like almost every other French hotel there are no in-room facilites for tea- or coffeee- making - we always take our in expectation of that.
My kids enjoyed the pool. Some of the items in the buffet breakfast should have been refrigerated, not sitting out in the open.
swimming pool, staff, comfort continental breakfast was poor, little choice, hard cold toast, if they improve this, the hotel is flawless
The pool and spa area was very nice, the rooms were also nicely finished. The hotel has obviously been renovated and the rooms are all very nice, however it seems like the bathrooms have not been touched and was very dated and disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel.
Another OK city hotel. Staff helpful but not engaging. Good location. Street parking if you can find it. Feeding the meter to have time to visit the town.
Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent bar, terrace and lounge area which was ideal for meeting up with friends and having an aperitif. Brilliant location, 2 minute walk to the heart of the old town and easy access to road network to explore this beautiful region.Good restaurant. Small but very pleasant pool area and jacuzzi. Lovely view over square. Good parking. The standard double rooms are not large but they are perfectly adequate and well equipped.
This is probably the best 3 star hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed 5 nights in a 2nd floor Junior Suite overlooking the square at the front of the hotel. The room was fantastic value, modern, spacious, and with a superb bathroom (with large bath and seperate walk in shower). The hotel has fantastic pool, sauna/spa facility which is exceptional for a 3 star hotel. Positioned at the end of the main route through the medieval pedestrian area, it is about 250 yards from the centre of Sarlat. The private secure car park is 100 yards way and is a must as parking in Sarlat is difficult and expensive. Reception staff were very helpful (especially Mary), and the Au Bureau bar adjacent to the hotel is a perfect place to end an evening. Breakfast was good and plentiful, but the same selection every day so a little variety would have helped. TV in the room only has English speaking news channels - no general English speaking programmes.
Nice and comfortable rooms
Attitude of staff and restaurant nd food quality. Room and particularly bathroom were too small.
. insects in the bed. Too much traffic noise during the night
Coffee was lukewarm for breakfast but this was rectified the next day.
Close to the river and an easy walk to restaurants. Free parking behind the hotel.
We loved the service, the food, the central location. We thought it was gorgeous and we are already planning our next trip. We had the junior suite great value for you money. Please note we upgraded to the junior suite We enjoyed it all!!
A wonderful hotel, great location. Polite and helpful staff.
Excellent location within village and Perigord Noir area. Very good food, if you could afford it! Friendly, helpful staff. No wall point to put shower head on, when having a shower. Toilet not fixed to floor securely. Small bath. Not much in way of a comfortable longe area inside the hotel.
Very pleasant staff, relaxing and enjoyable hotel.
THe staff were very welcoming and helpfuk, the location was exelent
hotel with the caracter of a chambred'hôtes -beautiful location - very gentle hosts -clean enquiet room
The hotel is cosy and beautifully set. Ths stuff is extremly helpful and friendly. Excellent location just in the midst of Perigod attaractions 1. The room was too small. 2. shower with curtain..... 3.no window in the room 4. No lobby !!!!
Quiet country surroundings and close proximity to Sarlat and the Dordogne No
Quiet, comfortable, friendly and very competent owners. Easy to get to and near the places we wished to visit.
Tranquility and location No dinner served. The bathroom in No. 4 was too open for us and not very private for the toilet!! It could easily be enclosed.
Lovely old farmhouse and building in attractive setting. Very friendly and helpful owner. Wonderful having the swimming pool as it was weather was hot. Not a complaint but if you want an evening meal you need to arrange with owner before you arrive
Friendly helpful staff at a small hotel in an ideal location for sightseeing. We also enjoyed the breakfasts.
pretty village. convenient. Photographs indicated that it was by the river. The hotel was 100 meters up a hill away from the river - the restaurant of the hotel was by the river.
Air con, very clean, good location in centre of village. Breakfast is not in the restaurant its above a stairwell in the hotel - very strange. No parking.
Clean great location for this quiet small town Dont stay in beynac if you want a bustling town with things to do
Beynac is a very pretty small town, complete with its own castle. Village well worth exploring. The photos indicated that the hotel was overlooking water, when in actual we could only obtain breakfast at that site. Hotel rooms very small, particularly the shower which was very difficult to get in and out of. We had not expected to be so cramped.
The building was interesting and in a good location, and was a good value. The owner was very nice and accommadating. For instance he picked us up and dropped us back off at the train station 10 km away. As a two star hotel you can't expect everything to be perfect. The shower had a broken sprayer, so it wouldn't stay in place on the vertical rod. The room decor needed some updating (dark and in need of minor maintenance).
The location was amazing, right underneath a huge castle on a cliff. Our room was right on the road and although there was some traffic noise in the morning, it was great to open the big shutters and lean out into the street. Parking wasn't a problem, free after 7pm. Although there were a number of restaurants nearby we drove to a nearby camping ground for a real value for money meal. Sarlat is only 9kms away and easy to find. Chose this hotel based on price and closeness to Sarlat. Was gobsmacked as we drove into the village and saw the castle on the hill, like staying in a fairytale! The size of the room was almost claustrophic. If the removed the enormous freestanding wardrobe from the bedroom it would allow a bit more space and if a wardrobe is necessary just have the one in the bathroom. The suitcase stand is located in the bathroom right beside the washbasin - a problem if you splash water about. Our room was right behind the reception desk and as there was no one there people arriving thought that our room was the office. This was bit embarrassing. Didn't have breakfast as there didn't appear to be anything other than wheat products (no yoghurt, cheese etc for gluten free diets).
sImple, no frills, nice, clean place to stay. a bit noisy but its not the hotels fault it is just near one of the main roads
Great location - Beynac is a gorgeous village! (Access to car parking was good too, if you don't mind a bit of a walk up hill!) Breakfast was included, but I never did manage to find out where it was served!
Clean, friendly, helpfull Early closure of restaurant
The staff was very helpful and the facilities good. It is a very attractive property in a beautiful and interesting town. The climb down from the parking area and the climb back up is not any fun, although the fact that the parking is free mitigates the inconvience.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Very friendly and professional staff (I believe, it's family owned hotel), unbeatable location (easy to drive around Dordogne river and 15 minutes walking distance to the center of Sarlat), comfortable rooms in excellent condition, etc. It gives you homey feelings while still staying in one of Hundred Year War cities. Hotel even has its own parking which I consider impossible in medieval city. Also, it's reasonably priced paid parking next to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to spend time in Sarlat. Nothing
Used it as home based as we did daily outings within Sarlat and the surrounding area. No.
The owners are the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. The location of the hotel was excellent, an easy walk into Sarlat, and within sight of the weekly market. Parking was a bit of a problem, but the owner can give you some great tips.
PLeasant staff and very near the historic old town Small rooms and no restaurant
Friendly proprietor - spoke good English and very helpful. Hotel close to old city and bus stop. Good sized bedroom and ensuite.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the center of town, bus station post etc.The owners were friendly and helpful- delightful. The room clean and nicely furnished..
Friendly English speaking staff in this region is rare, so the staff here are really of great help to me. I think this is a family-run hotel. Decent room with a great location, only 1 minute away from the center of Sarlat. Free internet use is a plus.
I thought that our hostess was extremely friendly and courteous. The rooms were spacious, and very clean, and parking was available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this Chambre d'Hotes.
The staff were so friendly; they gave us helpful information based on what we wanted to do that day. We actually stayed 9 nights we could have used a hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang our wet towels but other than that, it was excellent
Service was superb, and we appreciated the attention given to us by staff when we arrived, and when we had to deal with a particular problem unrelated to the hotel. Breakfasts were an unexpected pleasure. A little difficult to find initially, but not really a problem.
comfort, clean, nicely furnished, efficient and helpful owener. most recomended.
The peace and quiet of the country side yet easy access into the busy town of Sarlat and other interesting places to see. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room as there was now where to have a hot drink other than at breakfast and then the dining area was closed for the day until the following morning.
A lovely rural retreat for a visit to Sarlat. Francine, the doyenne of Le Mas, is a wonderful, attentive host.
Very nice. Great value for money.
We liked the quiet rural location, the charming, friendly and helpful staff. The other guests were pleasant, too. The layout of our room was odd,not uncomfortable, just odd.
