Staff were friendly, and very helpful. They provided concise and helpful information for seeking Marrakech! Very near from jamaa el fna, so it convenient.
The room wes located on ground floor, so it was dark and noisy little bit. I think if you stay rooms upstairs, there would be no problem.
Riad is close to Jemaa el Fnaa.
Room was on the first floor, it was very dark and old. It really needs renovation. Bathroom smelt really bad and it was very small. Also you can hear when neighbours use their bathroom. We asked to change the room, but they said that all the rooms are the same condition. When we arrived we informed that we have early flight and the guy in reception promised us to make breakfast on the go. But oh well, he forgot it and tried to blame us that we didn't asked him for breakfast. Do not trust photos.
The breakfast was good, on a nice rooftop. One of the rare positive things about this ryad.
The room was not comfortable and tidy as it should be for a ryad of this rating, we found hair all over the place, and the mattress is quite old. The towels folded as if there were clean, but they were quite used up, with some hair inside as well. If your safety and dignity matters to you, please avoid this ryad! The staff at the reception was rude and unprofessional. The guy (identified himself as Ali) asked for our marriage certificate before checking in my room. Myself as a French guy with an Arab name and my girlfriend being American, we were ready to comply with the 'custom/law' even if it is loosely applied and even if I was not notified by email about this requirement...My girlfriend was ok spending the night in my sister's room. But it was clear this was not enough, he was singling us out while other couples were let in without verification for such requirement. He tried to bully us because he knew we have limited lodging options on New Years' eve. He refused to put us in contact with the owner/manager, and was extremely threatening...leaving the reception and joining some thugs right outside the door. He proffered some racist slurs, stating he would rather have us leave and let other foreign guests take our room for triple the price. It took me to have a seasoned old neighbour intervene and to waive the police threat to put an end to this farce. I never felt so unsafe on a New Year eave.
The breakfast and the view from the patio
Nothing to declare
Lovely property, in good location and well managed by Bader. Thank you Bader for all you did and helped me to organize during my stay which made my stay in Marrakech great and memorable. A place I will recommend and hope to return to.
