Very nice facility. Only two stories so not too many neighbors. Great location, fireplace with complimentary logs, and wet bar made it an ease to chuck some fresh bough local oysters. For the price maybe some kind of complimentary breakfast would have been nice. The walls were not the best to block off loud kids in the morning next door.
Comfortable rooms. Not on the beach as the photos may indicate. The beach is a drive away.
Wonderful service. Clean great views and great dinner on premise. Quite. Notning
Being on the bay and enjoying the fire with the breeze blowing in. Restaurant was rather mediocre. I expeced more from such a nice resort.
Very comfortable room, attentive staff, nice area, I would definitely stay here again and recommend. Wifi was awful logged onto their wifi would but could not get internet. Apparently they are in process of getting better wifi.
We couldn't turn off the heater and it smelled.
We go here often and love it!
nice view of the water. Cabins were spacious and comfortable. Nice hot tub and pool. Food was good.
Wonderful location, pleasant and courteous staff, central to Bodega Bay. Room phone did not work so could not call desk when toilet had a problem. Desk lamp did not work so phone carger plug was nonjfunctional. There was only one wastebaskey. Wifi was extremely poor andwould not connect, and with phone down, couldnt get hold of the desk. No instructions for connevting. Complementary breakfast was premade and did not taste very good.
The bathroom and rooms were a little bit outdated. The toilet was very old and weak.
Very peaceful and quiet. Nice location Lots of close parking. Beautiful grounds. Would be nice and safe to install a grab bar for entering the tub/shower area. Door key card wasn't cooperative. Had to make several attempts before opening door. Small refrigerator in room would be nice.
seclusion the shower was clogged
To much money and not that nice looking
Staff was friendly. Great breakfast. No air conditioning. Room had a horrible "musty" smell. I'd advise that if you decide to stay to request that the staff "air" the room out a minimum of 15 mins before you arrive to your room.
I booked my reservation through your company and when I got to the hotel they were sold out and did not have a room for me . It was late at night and I could not get a hotel room anywhere that night I had to sleep in my car.
The staff very friendly, helpful and they seemed to enjoy their work environment. Dead bugs in the bottom of light fixtures. The art on walls not dusted regularly. But everything else very clean.
Very nice visit - they remembered our anniversary with a bottle of champagne - very much appreciated everything was fine
Hotel is clean on the inside and the balcony has a nice view with space for multiple people to socialize. When I first arrived the toilet was plugged up; however, that was fixed immediately. The real problem was the cigars and cigarette butts left out on the balcony ledge/overlook. I did not like the smell, and had to clean up someone else's cigars and cigarettes. The cleaning crew should clean up the balcony overhang of the rooms especially since the room I staid in is non-smoking.
We loved the overall ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. Evan gave us a warm welcome after a long day of traveling which really appreciated. The food was delicious and we loved our personal balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard while sipping on wine. We loved everything!
Clean room, beautiful grounds Noisy people in room next to me
It is an above average facility in a beautiful setting. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very accommodating. The breakfast offerings were disappointing. The dresser drawer space was inadequate.
Staff was friendly, there was free wi-fi, the rooms were clean and the heated pool and the hot tub were nice. I would stay here again. Our room smelled a bit, there wasn't a vent with a fan in the bathroom and the room became super steamy whenever we took a shower. Our friends room did not have an odor.
I was only there overnight and this is he best choice in Rohnert Park. Grounds are nice and the location is central to things to do in the area. Rohnert Park, however, isn't a destination. Pool area is very nice. Room was fine but in need of updating. Popcorn ceilings and older fixtures. The carpet in hallways and the room need replacing. Additional lighting in the large parking lot would make female travelers feel safer.
I was more than pleasantly surprise. Very nice property. The beds were so amazing that my daughter and I (separate beds) did not want to pull ourselves out of them. The room was very well-appointed from the price. The lobby is great, bar area was welcoming. If I need to stay in Rohnert Park again, I would gladly return.
Spacious room, friendly desk staff, helpful service getting internet code, comfortable bed. The building itself is quite nice and the restaurant/bar area looked accommodating. I was given a handicap room even though the hotel was not very busy. It would have been nice to ask if such a room would have been acceptable. It wasn't a big deal but I would have expected such a conversation to have occurred at check in.
1. The grounds are beautiful. 2. There was a hot tub and pool, a beautiful patio and AMAZING lobby with fireplace. 3. I had been dreaming of sitting next to a warm fireplace and reading, and it happened. It was so perfect. 4. I love the warm cookies upon arrival. 5. I also had forgotten my toothbrush and they gave me a very nice one with a travel size tooth paste (not those little toothpaste sachets). 1. The sliding door lock in our room worked about 50% of the time. I spent about 5 minutes trying to jostle it open to get my bathing suit I'd left on the patio. 2. The toilet didn't flush at all when we arrived. The engineer had to come and replaced a valve. 3. One of the towels smelled like it had been previously saturated with urine. 4. The television was so bizarre - the TV guide channel wasn't synched to the programming. The guide would say one show was on, but in fact an entirely different show was on and there was no rhyme or reason to any of it.
Price and proximity to shopping, freeway and restaurant's No mini fridge or microwave
Staff was very helpful on a couple of non-standard requests The mattress most likely hadn't been changed since the place opened.
Room with strong smoke smell, bathroom was not clean. Low quality that is not consistent with the price.
Price was more reasonable than others. Clean. Most of the staff were pleasant. Noisy...freeway noise and other customers. Bring your own towels because they only give you two and a wash cloth for two people, not even a hand towel for the sink. One tiny bar of soap to use both in the shower and at the sink. We got extra towels but then when we left the room, they were evidently taken by staff because they were gone when we returned to the room. No blow dryer. I guess you get what you pay for.
Close to everything Freeway noise
Overall a clean cost efficient place to stay while in the Santa Rosa area. No frills easy fwy access. Staff polite, helpful and friendly.
Got very little value for the money. No amenities. Felt like a 40 dollar motel. Location next to the freeway. Single chair. The good news - the bed was fairly decent. Everything but the bed. Noisy and odd people staying there.
Rooms dont have even have a coffee maker. Seriously ? For those prices, thag should be in every room. No fridge or microwave. Just ok for a nights sleep. Nice staff though. Ans didn't see any bugs. Always a plus.
The location was great, right near the Doubletree where the conference I was attending was located. Easy on and off the freeway, parking is convenient, lots of fast food and stores nearby. The TV works. The price is super cheap for the area--but the place sucks. There was a puddle of bleach in the bathroom, which ruined my socks and pajamas. The staff didn't seem to care when I mentioned it as I checked out. Also, when I arrived the toilet wasn't flushed--ew! And the shower is so short it's uncomfortable to crouch (and I'm only 5'7"), and the water pressure is a dribble. And the sheets are so rough they abraded my elbows. I know it's an economy motel, but it was pretty bad.
Very basic, but very clean, rooms. Staff was cheery and helpful. Taco Bell and Burger King are a stone's throw from the front door, as is a fuel station. Lots of other restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby. It's quite close to the highway, so noise can be an issue, especially on the back side. While I wouldnt choose Good Nite Inn for a grand vacation, it is an excellent, inexpensive stop over and I highly recommend it as such.
It's close to casino- wal mart- Taco Bell- and free way. The main thing it's saving is money to use for other things. We have family to visit there and we like our privacy. So we could afford to visit and stay in a hotel. Very clean- nice beds. Not fancy but everything you need. It's stupid to pay more unless you like to throw money away. If you want a newer fancier hotel- you can pay 100 more a night - but it will be the exact same- with a cheap buffet breakfast---that is not worth $100 or so extra. I highly recommend this place for a good night sleep and a quiet room. It's clean and they have coffee in the morning and you don't need more - save your. Money and stay here. Only don't have a view - I like views. No biggie for me. Price makes it worth it.
Manager reimbursed our first night that we had no air conditioning (it was hot)!! No blow dryer. Shower head so low my husband had to kneel to take a shower. Fixed the air conditioner for our second night, much more comfortable. Close to a number of restaurants.
I did not like the harassment of the woman behind the counter by a group of four drunk men who were checking in. They were racist, she was Latina. It was an ugly scene. I feel as though having a security guard in the lobby would help people stay on better behavior.
Comfortable bed was,the only thing good about the place
The location was pretty convenient for exploring the region due to it being right next to the freeway. We were bothered by the noise whatsoever. The staff were harassing and embarassing each other upon check in which was pretty uncomfortable. Our room smelled of muggy wet dog and was pretty dirty. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel. The cleaning ladies came around (very loudly) to begin housekeeping at 7:30 am, way too early. Overall the experience was one of prefer not to have again considering the price.
The motel was clean except there was a foul odor in the hallway where we stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was horribly hard so we didn't get much sleep. The floor would have been more comfortable. Awful smell in the hallway was troublesome because it also came into the room.
Very noisy. We had to unplug the fridge to get any sleep. Lots of traffic noise. Lots of plumbing noise.
Clean n ez to get to from the highway Price
Pool was nice Hairs on the bed sheets, vinyl flooring through out the room looked clean but was filthy. my daughter came in from the pool and dripped water so she cleaned it up with her white towel and it was completely black when she was done. so grossed out. when I complained they gave me a $15 coupon for my next stay. I think NOT.
Poop on the wall, multiple different hairs in shower, we stripped a bed because perfume was dropped on the comforter from previous customer and we told the front desk. Housekeeping put the same sheets and comforter on. Had to strip bed and bring everything to the front desk.
This should only be utilized as a last resort.
Location; a very minimal room No shampoo, conditioner, or facial tissue. Adequate for 2 nights while visiting Point Reyes.
Nice staff, clean and updated room, convenient to highway. Natural preserve across street.
Stained in the tub
Nothing Bed and pillows are super thin Couldn't park in front of our room because the pool was there The shower just sprays on the floor and soaks the entire thing resulting in us tracking water into the room
room, setup, service, food - everything was excellent will go back
The wood burning fireplace. The hotel room was not worth the price we paid. It was dated and rundown. The towels and upholstery on the chairs were fraying. A metal piece came off our shower when turning it on. The breakfast was bad with old fruit and rancid cottage cheese.
It was a very quiet place and the room I was in was very large and pretty. The pool/spa closes at 6pm/9pm. I would have liked to come back after being out and relax and swim. The guest towels were threadbare and stringy around the edges. The curtains in the bathroom did not provide adequate privacy. No breakfast variety.
The setting and landscaping and staff were awesome.
Hotel employee is the man. Jack of all trades. Owner, host, chef, waiter, etc Would have been nice if it's closer to Bodega Bay. Also WiFi was extra -- would be nice to have in rooms as cell coverage is not good from surrounding hills.
Hotel staff was friendly and location to the wharf was excellent!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Ted, the owner is very hand on ! He also knows the area quite well, and recommended some great restaurants and hikes. We were only staying overnight, so can't really speak to extended stay, but it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Oh, and there's a great coffee shop right behind the Inn ! Wonderful and talented Barrista there !
Pleasant enough Inn keeper. Easy to find. Shared parking lot with restaurant and art gallery. Close and accessible drive down the street to the waterfront. People using the shared kitchen made the whole place smell like whatever they were heating up. In our experience, that smell was some weird, meat-like smell that hung around all day long. Super weak shower head. Just an overall dingy feeling to the place. Not unclean or dirty, just sort of dingy and not refreshing at all.
Hair in the shower and dirty carpets. Hair dryer didn't work because it was clogged with hair. Staff never asked upon checkout how our stay was
Location, comfortable rooms, fridge, microwave, comfortable beds. Old, but comfortable, Room 32 has issues with a nasty urine smell coming from the back wall or floor. Management was not aware, hard to believe. Repair will probably be costly. Don't get that room. It is also directly under one of the 2 upper rooms with hardwood floors. Kids were up all night to the sound of occupants moving about. Not worth the high dollar price, but we were last minute bookings.
My wife and I celebrated our 58th wedding anniversary at Bodega Coast Inn and Suites. We were greeted by friendly helpful staff and found to our surprise sparkling cider and chocolates in our room. We had a lovely view of the bay and found their breakfast to be ideal. We also enjoy our balcony view of the bay along with the short distance it was to nearby restaurant and shops. It was a perfect quiet get away just what we wanted.
Location View Dirty rooms Rooms have torn carpet, stained sheets, wall paper falling off the wall. The balcony on the room had standing water, sliding door was hard to open and close. No screen door. Bathroom had water damage all over. Spiderwebs in the bathroom.
If it weren't for the location, view, and staff, I would have felt ripped off. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Bodega Bay. Our room had a balcony with an ocean view. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms simply need to be updated. Everything in the room was either old and/or visibly dirty. The pillow cases were not clean. The ironing board was filthy. Dry rot visible in the bathroom. The sliding glass door needed lots of muscle and patience to open. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag? If it weren't for the location, view, and friendly staff, I'd be pissed paying $200/night of this place. Come on owners, invest on improvements. P.S.--I also believe that each room is required to have an evacuation map and maximum daily rated posted which this room did not.
Beautiful room, amenities and close to everything! Breakfast
very nice and welcoming staff carpet was dirty and the sliding door was very hard to open and needed cleaning.
Hotel was fine - but it's located in a retail park with nothing useful or interesting with in walking distance.
Very comfortable spacious room. Complimentary Wi-Fi. Breakfast was fantastic...hot and cold food choices. Room was quiet and peaceful with easy temp control. Staff was pleasant, accommodating and made us feel welcomed. Cleaning products had an unpleasant scent. It was everywhere, including the elevators, and reminded me of a hospital. Otherwise wonderful and we will definitely stay again.
close to where i was headed
Good location, very friendly staff, clean rooms Improve the breakfast!
i don't usually like to leave negative comments, but I was woken up by the person who stayed on the 3rd floor after I went to bed and before I was planning on getting up. I could hear them walking all throughout the room so I did not sleep well at all. Almost like they had a sleep issue and they were up frequently.
Fab beds! Fab covers! Good pillow choices! Nice decor! Very clean! 8 rooms! Just wish we stayed over on a Thursday night as the very small village has the few places for food open Thursday-Sunday evenings & mornings! Wiuld have been nice for breakfast to have had some bread & a toaster & some butter & jam! And a small table to sit at also! And yes warm & quiet!! Memorable! Would return if in the area. Drove 15 min. To Nicks in nearby Marshsll on Tomales Bay for a very fine dinner, even a musician entertaining! Also might add, good tv reception! No problems. Drove from Bodega Bay easy to find en route to Pt. Reyes, Monterey. Will tell friends at my home in Hawai'i Kai about this hotel! Most everything was fine. See above comment for details!
Nice old hotel. You can't beat the location and amenities for the price! Being downtown it was quite loud early.
The hotel was great! It was super cute, charming, and unique. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms that don't have an in-room bathroom are very close to the hall bathroom (some rooms do have in-rooms bathrooms.) The hotel rooms were clean, and the staff was more than accommodating, helpful, and friendly! My husband and I had lots of fun staying here! The parking situation isn't perfect. However, we came in late and had difficulty finding a spot, the front desk employee went and moved her car so we could have a spot! There was a little noise, being downtown and on a weekend, but definitely not enough to be bothersome for us.
The hotel is in an old building. The building feels like the 1920's or 30's, so it's neat to see that. It rates highly for charm. It has a pleasant atmosphere and decor. It's in a great location right down town. The staff seemed friendly during my interactions. The hotel is going through some major renovations. When I stepped off the elevator I could see all the construction happening in the rooms. It felt like I just stepped in to a horror movie set! Not much can be done about that till the renovations are complete. The walls are thin and there is no AC. the hotel does provide a fan which proved adequate. The bathroom could have used a thorough cleaning.
Walking distance to downtown Petaluma businesses. Honest about what it can/cannot offer. Clean room. Could get warm. Standard room is a bit small. Hallway noise could be bothersome if other guests are loud. Need "do not disturb" signs!
I liked that your hotel was in a safe place. Further, everything was neat and clean. The mattress felt like a board and didn't enjoy having to ask for a hair dryer and then return it to the office. Most hotels offer that service.
Loved the original feel of 1923! Original hardwood floors, the narrow stairs, the old elevator door that had to be opened by hand, original bathtub and medicine cabinet! Beds were adequate and comfortable. Plush towels and bedding. Doors came with real keys. Windows opened to the outside and there were screens you could shut over them. Well kept, freshly painted. One has to be appreciative of historical buildings and not expect all the added comforts of modern times such as large rooms or lots of counter space. The window was single pane and did not keep out the street noise. There is no AC in case you visit in summer. The original sink in the bathroom had visible signs of wear - authentic you could say. One must find street parking, but it isn't too difficult if you go up the side streets. All that being said, my husband and I would still recommend it for the 1923 experience.
Staff was nice. Location was close to food and drink. Really in the thick of downtown Petaluma. Yes, usually this hotel is one of the cheapest in the area next to to Motel 6, but after staying at both places, I choose Motel 6. The best thing it had going for It was that the hotel was located within walking distance to everything you came to Petaluma for. What also comes with that is every bit of noise from traffic and neighbors. No A/C (they give you a fan), communal bathrooms, and tiny rooms that were lit up from the streetlights Just go to the Motel 6 if you're looking to save. Plus they're remodeling. It won't be too long before this hotel is charging $250+ for rooms. We spent $110 and we're wishing we hadn't.
Room was very clean, hotel was quiet(couldn't hear your neighbors), very good continental breakfast, very good location, and the pool is very nice. We were in room 201 which is right above where the manager stays. He must sit in there and chain smoke all day because the smell comes through the bathroom vent.
Nice breakfast and staff
Near wedding venue Room availability
The room was clean and comfortable, no issues. Breakfast was the typical with waffles, muffins, cereal, bread. The coffee was exceptionally good surprisingly.
They had a very good breakfast included. There was plenty of options for all and a hostess was present the whole time to clean up any messes and assist customers. There was a huge stain on the carpet right in front of the hotel room door. It made me question the cleanliness of the room. Having said that, everything else about the room was very clean. The night stand drawer had a missing handle. These two issues combined gave me the impression that the hotel is old and in need of attention.
An okay value for the money, especially if you're on your way somewhere else.
Read the other reviews and you'll get our input - superb, fun, friendly...all of the above and we can't wait to get back!
Clean, walkable to town, friendly staff, Mattress and bedding was okay.
Charming and unusual. Very comfortable bed. Close to town - walking distance to great restaurants and fun things to do. Friendly staff. Not handicapped accessible at all, and you have to carry your luggage up a curvy staircase. The check-in process needs work. It's a phone at the locked front door, but only a recording answered it... we couldn't get in until someone inside noticed we were there. Parking lot is kind of crammed, hard to navigate.
I like the comfort was. I didn't like how the phone didn't have a connected line in service. The remote didn't work for the TV.
Before booking, I read the reviews- mixed. But look, it is what it is... this isn't a $500 lux resort on the beach, but it doesn't bill itself as that. The room was clean, fresh towels and linens were present. Staff was great- easy check-in, easy out. Close to everything from food to shopping and freeway. Was there on a business trip (so no family with me) so for me it was doable. The continental breakfast is more like a desolate island breakfast, but there are plenty of places to eat around the area.
Way nicer than the other budget motels in the area. I come up here a lot for business and will continue to use this location over the others.
Dirty, Curtains a wrinkled spotted mess, broken insides of lamp shades, paid for a nonsmoking room and got a smelly smokers room. My son, age 16, was afraid to go to sleep.
The staff were very helpful and friendly they let us use there own PC for emails. Good location and only 30 mins from Calistoga. No but the distance shown on the information on the booking.com site was very inaccurate it was 27 miles or more from Calistoga and not 17 as indicated. this needs amending
My husband said he liked the great water pressure in the shower. There were people drin king and talking outside the rooms late at night. There were men coming and going to one of the rooms all night.
All is ok No
At that late hour, I was grateful to have a bed to sleep in and a roof over my head. First of all, there was no room at the Inn. I had made my reservation earlier and when I arrived, there was no vacancy. The desk clerk referred me to the motel next door, a Budget Inn, I believe. The Budget room was fairly standard, but the bath tub looked like it had been painted over to hide the wear and tear. When I woke up in the morning and needed a shower, I found that the water was not on, not working, in the shower. I consider this a serious breach of hospitality and I feel I am entitled to a full refund.
it was available... staff was rude, ice maker was broke, and it took forever to get us towels. talking 30 minutes to get a towel. the rooms were spacious. breakfast was pretty good, bagels, toast, cereal, muffins. Could have been better, but wasnt bad
