Pros: Our family stayed for 3 nights and we loved this place. The hosts, Annelie and Benoit were very friendly and laidback and made us feel at home, right from the arrival. The facility looks exactly as shown in the pictures - we had a nice and clean room with a cozy terrace and a renovated bathroom. Courtyard was lovely and children enjoyed swimming in the pool a lot, Wifi worked well. Breakfast was fantastic with local/homemade products. We missed out to book dinner (wish to try next time!), but there was a nice resturant in the next village, 2km drive away. We warmly reccommend L'Autre Maison.
Pros: What a magical little place! The property was super clean and had been renovated very well. We loved the very personal service and felt welcome right from the moment we arrived. The kids loved swimming in the pool and had fun playing in the common room with the kids toys. Unfortunately, we missed out on having dinner (big mistake) however breakfast was beautiful out on the porch. One day when we head back to this area, this will be our choice of place to stay.
Cons: I personally would have liked a kettle in the room, to enjoy a cuppa in my pjs whilst waking up in the morning, but the common kitchen area is easily accessible.
Pros: the owner was super friendly, served us tea with home made cookies, dinner was delicious, breakfast was good too ! the whole house is tastefully decorated, clean room, we had a very comfortable stay there.
Pros: Annelie and Benoit are perfect hosts. Lovely, relaxing, clean accommodations. Dining on the terrace of a delicious three course meal prepared by Benoit is not to be missed. The pool area is serene. One is transported back in time. Recommend visiting Uzes a picturesque ride from L'Autre Maison.

Pros: Everything was top quality
Pros: Our hosts were lovely, they couldn’t do more to please. The property has been refurbished to an exceptional standard and the rooms are beautifully designed and presented. Francois and Herve have developed a haven for anyone looking for style and tranquility. Whilst restaurants locally are some distance away, who would want to leave the superb dining delivered by our two hosts?
Cons: We really can’t think of anything.
Pros: Big room, great shower, good service at breakfast. You can book for a delicious light meal for dinner which is custom in France as the main meal is at lunch. Attention to detail by Francois and lovely Herve was excellent. Loved the cats that said Hello.
Cons: Not close to any shops.
Pros: I can't describe how amazing it was, an interior designer's dream. The hosts so welcoming. The food excellent.
Pros: Francois & Herve are wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to provide useful advice of things to do and places to see. Breakfasts and dinners cooked by Francois were brilliant.
Pros: Hervé and Francois were absolutely wonderful. They were welcoming, thoughtful, and friendly. The rooms were impeccably clean and modern, and we absolutely loved the rooftop jacuzzi and lounge chairs. There were a handful of brilliant touches, like homemade juices each morning, local treats for the turndown service, and towels being warmed. We also had a reasonably priced massage in our room, which was convenient. The view from the roof was incredible - it was the excellent, relaxing weekend we were hoping for.
Cons: The drive to Uzès is beautiful through vineyards so it's part of the experience, but it is 30min, which is good to know when planning.
Pros: Beyond beautiful place with exceptional design, highest quality of comfort, the best service you can imagine, and food you will remember your whole life. You come home inspired, touched by beauty and discrete luxury which surrounded you from every possible angle, and full of ideas of how to take maximum of Life.
Cons: That our stay came to an end!

Pros: A frequent visitor I enjoyed owner Dominique and his daughter's hospitality. Fantastic value, well worth booking if passing through Provence
Pros: Location, house, proprietor, bedroom, washroom...
Pros: A lovely family with a lovely home. We managed to get by with our lousy French as our host Dominique spoke very little English. His daughter checked us in and she did a great job with her limited English. It was great fun conversing with them both. Dominique was an excellent host, the garden was lovely and the breakfast great. Parking in their covered garage too. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommended if you like a quiet place, out of town and a 5 min drive to the pretty town of Anduze.
Cons: Nothing, all was fantastic. Tip....We had a little trouble finding it as our GPS wouldn’t accept the town of Saint Christol Les Ales. The same street starts in Ales so if you can’t find it, it’s a further 10 mins up the road.
Pros: For us the location was excellent with lovely views across the country side
Cons: on arrival their was no one to greet us and we had to wait an hour before the owner came
Pros: The owner is very nice. The room is very confortable. You feel home.
Cons: You need to have a car.
Pros: Very nice rooms (including bathrooms); welcomimg atmosphere which is created by owner of the place (Dominique); Dominique is very approachable and helpful. Within a short distance you arrive in Anduze. A nice French breakfast which you can enjoy on the terrace is available .
Cons: Even though the house (and site) is located on a small street there are quite some cars (at least in high season)
Pros: Very friendly and generous host. Very clean. Motorcycles could be parked in a dry place.
Pros: Our host was very welcoming. Had an evening meal that great value for money and he served wonderful local wines. The property has a lovely garden to relax in.
Pros: Dominique's garden was delightful and full of both productive and decorative plants, and he was happy to show us around. He also has a menagerie - cats, dogs, chooks, a turtle. Dominique was an excellent host, keen to converse with his guests, (tho not in English, so we had to rely on our broken French). He recommended a number of very good local attractions. The room was very comfortable, and well decorated. There is a shared bathroom, and this did not cause any problem. Breakfast on the terrace was plentiful and delicious - good bread, croissants, home-made jams, fruit etc.
Located in Saint-Christol-Les-Ales, La Demeure de l'Arche is within a 10-minute drive of Ales Cathedral and Musee Bibliotheque Pierre-Andre Benoit. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful setting Beautiful building Relaxing and tranquil
Cons: Air conditioning not working
Pros: We stayed in one of the first floor suites, fabulous huge room with french windows onto the large balcony. The bedroom was very nicely furnished. Good breakfast. Delightful staff and animals (gorgeous dogs and cats)! We liked the location being out of the town and quiet with countryside views.
Cons: The sitting room part of our suite was a bit over furnished, it would benefit from a change of sofas (they were dark brown leather) and generally less furniture in there, but as we didn't really use this part of the suite it didn't really matter.
Pros: Great place to stay, with nice rooms and incredible view and such friendly staff.
Pros: Very comfortable room and bed. The setting was lovely, beautiful views, very secluded. Swimming pool very welcome after a long hot journey. Owners very helpful. Breakfast excellent. The isolated location suited us
Cons: Nothing to do with the place, but quite a long walk to the nearest restaurant ( after a long motorbike journey we did not want to get back on the bike to travel to it!). But is was worth the walk!
Pros: A stunning place with superb hosts. Best place we have found so far!
Cons: Nothing ...perfect
Pros: We booked a suite, which was very spacious and had a lovely big terrace which was excellent for eating outside in the evening as the property is a drive away from the local town. There was also a fridge in the room which was invaluable in the hot weather. Really enjoyed playing tennis and the pool was fabulous. Hosts were very friendly and breakfast was lovely.
Pros: So you are about to embark on a trip along the Gorge du Tarn and you are looking for a place to rest your head for the night. Ales, is a possibility but a bit boring and not much to see. If you have ever imagined yourself as a French Duc or Marquis, you could stay a few kilometres out of Ales at La Demeure de L’Arche in St. Christol. It is a large, gated and stone walled property with a mansion fit for any Marquis. We had apartment sized accommodation with separate lounge, lounge/bedroom, bathroom and toilet. It was a blend of old world charm and the ultramodern (bathroom) with endless places to sit (2 lounges and 2 sofa chairs), multiple lamps for atmosphere, comfortable 4-poster bed, fridge and tasteful period furniture. We also had a large private balcony with sun loungers and umbrella and a 3 piece outdoor setting for a sunset glass of wine. The only thing missing was the wigged servants. The grounds are extensive and include a very well maintained 25M swimming pool to work off all that excessive French cuisine that you have been consuming. So you can live like a Marquis, in exquisite surroundings at a very reasonable cost. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Cons: Any negatives? Well, other than the lack of wigged servants and bigger coffee cups, the only negative was the very late check-in of 4.00 pm. We unsuccessfully tried to organise an earlier check-in for 3.00, but the electric gates were not opened until 4.00 so had to spend an hour drinking cold beer (it’s a hard life!)

Pros: Very kind hosts. Comfy beds. Clean, well equipped rooms. Excellent breakfast with homemade pie! Lovely swimming pool. Ideal location in the country side, only 10 minutes from Uzès. Highly recommended!
Pros: This accommodation exceeded our expectations. The hosts were beyond friendly and entire place was well maintained, clean and roomy. Air conditioning was the best we experienced on our trip. Breakfast was a delight with French bread, homemade jams, fruit, coffee, cheese and homemade banana cake. I especially enjoyed the conversation with the host. Great people who enjoy hosting and making sure your every comfort is met. The hotel is close to many attractions and is perfectly situated. The pizza place up the road makes great pizza as well. Don’t let the drive to the hotel deter you.....it’s worth it.
Cons: At dusk there were mosquitoes and they seemed to go away at sundown.
Located in Vezenobres, Le Relais Sarrasin is a 1-minute drive from Cevennes Tourisme - Bureau de Vezenobres and 9 minutes from Moulin a Huile Paradis. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The location was misrepresented. The room was needed an update.
Pros: very friendly staff / management
Cons: the parking space is to little - if people from outside the hotel comes to eat to the restaurant
Pros: Typical traditional Logis with genteel charm and unusually decorated bedrooms. The room is large enough to accommodate a settee and coffee table and is well equipped, as is the bathroom with a bath and shower over. Nice to have a small swimming pool even though we didn't have time to use it. Lovely location overlooking the mediaeval village opposite.
Cons: The decoration of the room was a little tired and the bathroom particularly was poorly tiled and finished off with a rather dubious looking shower curtain. I certainly wouldn't employ their interior decorator as paintwork and wall papering were slapdash. Food and ambiance in the restaurant were very nice but it is quite expensive.
CHAMBER of HOST in a full foot house on a shaded ground of 10 000 m2 with oak trees along hiking trail. Room "BAMBOO" Bedroom with bathroom and W. C Trees, arbors, hammocks, garden furniture allow you to enjoy the quiet of the countryside. In a region where so many places to discover, the Bamboo Prafrance, the caves of Trabuc, Uzes and his duchy, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Cevennes and many small villages we shoed you discover over the days.
Pros: Really nice couple at the B&B. The dinner was amazing, we cycled the whole day and were pretty hungry, the chicken was very taste and came in large quantities. Next day, the breakfast was waiting for us at the agreed time in the garden, with some sunlight through the trees. The room was decent, with shower and toilet. Moreover, we could use the water hose to clean our bikes.
Cons: It’s a bit of route, but really no big deal.
Pros: The owners of this property really made us feel at home. Breakfast by request every morning was croissants and bread with ham, cheese and black coffee. The bonus was the homemade jams on the table as well. There is a trail leading from the house to various sites within walking distance, including an olive grove and a distant view of the medieval city, old stone walls, shepherd hut and more. I took many photos for my collection. We do not speak French yet somehow we communicated with the owners, and this added to the fun. Many thanks to Daniel and Marite for a wonderful stay!

Pros: Rooms new and clean beautiful location
Cons: Place is a tip diggers abound terrace looks like it has not been cleared after a big wedding would not have returned if we had not paid ahead minimum effort from staff/owners, breakfast dumped in depressing corridor, restaurant closed.............

When you stay at Le Mas De Clary in Baron, you'll be 13 minutes by car from Moulin a Huile Paradis. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is great and the gite was very comfortable and spacious.
Cons: After traveling almost 20 hours we were looking forward to the sauna and jacuzzi, neither were open and it seemed to be asking too much for the host to open them. We used the jacuzzi once and upon leaving was charged 50 euros, this fee was not written or orally communicated. It was a shocking way to end what was a nice stay. Be warned.
Pros: What a nice welcome! Lovely place, great beds, everything is taken care of and is present in the appartment. Beautiful stuff, beautiful bedding, the owners really had fun and had something made of it. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic, fresh and lots of handmade! Spoiled!
