well designed and attractive for a relatively new hotel-full marks to the garden staff for blending the hotel into the surroundings.Should we have been allocated a room overlooking the car park side of the hotel(which many do) we may have been less satisfied - as we checked in we noticed brochures advertising a 3 day package , apparently of similar rooms with breakfast for less than we were to pay for 2 days, which rather took the shine from our stay. I would wish to hear comments from booking.com (a company which I have found first class in the many dealings I have had with them)
My wife and I loved this hotel. It is lovely and spacious. It was a pleasure having dinner in the restaurant as the food and the service were excellent. We will recommend it to all of our friends.
Spacious room, tasteful decor, excellent breakfast, quiet, very good location
A large hotel with large public areas and large rooms. It has all modcons, although not fully new. Very comfortable, in a good location to the older part of town and to the convent. We had a good meal in the restaurant, and used the pool. Staff were most helpful.
Room size and comfort. Facilities in the hotel were excellent.
The hotel is beautifully situated in luxuriant gardens with feature waterfalls from the hotel. Our rooms were nice and quiet with a lovely outlook, everything we needed and lots of space for hanging clothes etc. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked fine and if it had not I would have asked the hotel to help. Location within the town was very convenient and the restaurants in Tomar inexpensive. We thought it was seemed a shame that all the flowers inside the hotel were plastic but I assume they do not have a resident florist and the outdoor flowers are so nice it is probably a little unfair of us to criticise.
Ease of finding and easy access to downtown Reception had dated information about local restaurants
Location, aspect, welcome, facilities and price
Location, service, friendly and helpful staff
It is an excellent location for see the old town of Tomar and all its main atractions. We did not find any 'expensive' restuarants but what we found was good. We were also surprised that eating and drinking was inexpensive.
The hotel was extremely nice, we had a large room with a view of the river. The air conditioning was very welcome as it was unusually hot. The pool was excellent, with towels provided and it was never crowded. The breakfast buffet was very good and we are vegetarians, so we don't expect much to be available for us. The mini bar and hotel bar were reasonably priced but we did not use the restaurant. it is a very short walk into the old part of Tomar which we found to have plenty of bars and cafes and a pleasant square. The Templar connection is everywhere in Tomar and it was good to visit the Convent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The spa prices were prohibitive which was a shame, because everything else was so reasonable.
The hotel is in a lovely location in a park. The staff were all excellent. The town is an excellent place to be in and the historical sights are of course fantastic.
The room should be more clean.
The very central location; the breakfast, simple, but nice and complete; the staff, polite, welcoming and always attentive. The bathroom could be renovated, and the shower cabin more user friendly, especially for children. But conditions are quite acceptable.
Basic but good hotel. It offers value for money. Located in the center of Constancia, 10 minutes from the motorway. Good basis for day trips.
Clean comfortable room, friendlyness of the staff. No.
breakfast was terrible. no choise every day the same. there was bad smell in the village.
All was nice
good breakfast. Great hosts. computer availability.comfortable bedroom nice quiet area the shower needs some attention- no holder for shower head. soapholder broken
the new hotel is very good,
Superb location - when you find it! A few directions signs from the town would make it easier to find! But well worth the trouble.
Astonishing landscape brings peace to the soul. The rooms are cosy and make you feel welcomed. Staff is professional and corteous. The restaurant serves good food. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway or for a weekend of pure relaxation.
Very calm location. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant. The buidilg has now several years old, and should have a 'refreshment'
The service was excellent and the staff very friendly.
The Hotel needs to be improve.
The hotel was situated right on the River Zezere with amazing views. The staff were lovely and very helpful about the local area. The rooms were very comfortable, if a little small. We only ate once at the hotel and the meal, whilst not haute cusine, was traditional and tasty.
location only two staff on duty. had to keep going up to reception if we wanted a drink. no staff visible at breakfast. i had an early flight and could not get out of the hotel. the doors were all locked and no staff available, just a number on the reception desk to phone incase of emergency. staff did not appear until 8:00am. the carpets in the room were badly stained. Could not open the wardrobe door because there was a big sofa in the way and no light to see inside the wardrobe when we did manage to open the door! Definitely Fawlty Towers.
Loation is fabulous, and easy to find too. Room comfortable, food typical Portuguese. Views from the Hotel are stunning. Nothing.
Excellent service, excellent room. And a very quiet hotel which is sometimes quite difficult to find these days. Great view of the lake. Super location liked it all.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean Parking is a big problem
Nice location! Close to the Castle.
Was central for my needs, very quiet, service in the restaurant very good, selections for breakfast good, found all staff to be helpfull and pleasent. When i visit Tomar again i would not hesitate to use the hotel. N/A
Pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms. Great value. Good Location.
The hotel was within walking distance of many sites. We drove to the Convento de Cristo but it also could have been walked. The friendliness of the reception desk people was also appreciated.
