4.3 Okay
Pros: The only member of staff that was there having to do everything.
Cons: No chef to cook any meals/breakfast leading to very restricted menu. Owner not on site had to speak about issues over phone and she became argumentative leading to us to find alternative accommodation after a forced one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Top lady and an absolute gem of a place. If you are visiting the West Lakes area give the popular places a miss and book here. Such a tranquil room. The host is also a fabulous cook and we had the best evening meal I’ve tasted in a long time. There’s an honesty bar and s perfect garden to sit in with you glass of wine in the evening! Just book it before all the rooms have gone. We’ll definitely be back!

7.0 Good
Pros: The gentleman who greeted us (head chef) was extremely welcoming and kind. The breakfast he prepared was divine and he helped us to the best of his ability. Thank you :)
Cons: One of the ladies who worked there did not believe that we had already prepaid, despite showing her the email confirmation and also the bank transaction. We understood that they did not want us to leave without paying, however she did not go about it in a good way as it seemed that she was accusing us of lying and wanted us to pay the room fee again. The rest of the visit was lovely, but unfortunately, we would not return to Littlebeck because of this lady’s attitude towards us. Also, the website boasted a private gardens and woodlands, which we were eager to explore, however when we asked one of the waiters about the woods he did not know what we were talking about and it seems that they do not exist.
6.8 Good
Pros: The host is very friendly and tried their best to accommodate and help.
Cons: No hot water in the first night. And second night the shower pressure is really low as other guests were using the shower at the same time. Ceiling height is really low, it’s a cottage I suppose.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Immaculate, lovely rooms
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff ,food, location nice gardens with views. Hotel well decorated, nice room.
Cons: Fan in the toilet a bit noisy. Breakfast room with no ambient low music, could do with a little light classical.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, view of the sea from our room, view of the sea and the south-western edge of Scotland from the hotel grounds. Comfortable and well laid out room, comfortable bed (and I'm VERY hard to please when it comes to hotel beds) and generous bathroom. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: No negatives. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed at. Although the Lake District as a general area won't have me straining at the leash to return to it, I'd be happy to return to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful property with lovely grounds and views. The staff made us feel welcome and the room was comfortable and stylishly decorated. Evening meal and breakfast were both fantastic and the bar prices were very reasonable. A faultless overnight stay.

Pros: Staff were fantastic, location and view was incredible. We were a big group and really made to feel welcome whether at the bar or dinner. Lovely place and would definitely go back if staying in the Lake District.
Cons: I prefer more water pressure in the shower and a very personal preference is bigger cistern tanks to give a good flush! Minor in the scheme of things.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: very large room
Cons: internet rather slow
5.8 Okay
Pros: When the internet was turned on it was fast and liked the towel elephants
Cons: Asked for extra pillows, they emailed me to say they’d done that - they hadn’t. The extra child bed had 8 missing support springs and was very poor in general. The bed headboard was loose so that every time you moved in bed, it clanked against the wall. They ran out of orange juice at breakfast, I asked for water instead and was promised some - it never arrived. Hotel is in a stunning area but the view from my room was of a concrete yard with a shed in it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Good location.
Cons: Not enough ventilation in bedroom. Far too hot.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: After parking out back out of the way, a very friendly and professional receptionist checked us in and directed us to our room. A two key system; one for the main accommodation block door and the room key. Practical room with a double bed, kettle, tv, hairdryer. A cupboard for what they do. En-suite bathroom with a good strong shower and plenty of towels. Breakfast was ample with good bacon and eggs to order. We were amused by some chap burning his toast. Good nights sleep in the bed so no complaints about that.
Cons: It was compact, but not cramped.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bed, very comfortable surrounding. Excellent location and the owner was so helpful and accommodating.
Cons: My only criticism is that the bath towels were very small. I don't really do the whole bath robe thing, so I would have prefered a large bath towel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was warmly welcomed by the owners and felt very comfortable. Had a great night sleep all ready for work the next day. The building itself is beautiful and all work was done by the owners, which was something very special! The owners are great people with great surprises and care for their guests. Definitely, recommend this place and also will hopefully return soon.
Cons: Not a lot at all. I came in quite late so was not able to experience the whole facility as much as I would have liked to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent accommodation and the owner was a very convivial and welcoming host. Nothing was too much trouble. The new Finnish sauna in the garden was a welcome surprise and the breakfast was first class!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From arrival through to check-out we could not fault our stay. We received the friendliest welcome and both of the guesthouse owners went above and beyond our expectations. Bedroom was lovely and spacious, beds extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly need was right there. Breakfast was freshly prepared, with a vast selection of options. But of course the favourite of our trip was the use of the sauna, which was extremely relaxing and rewarding, especially since my partner and I climbed Scafell Pike earlier that day. Thank you for our stay! We will definitely be returning :)
Cons: Could not fault our stay in the slightest.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Fabulous breakfast
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great position

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location with some good views, helpful staff, great food, room was clean tidy and comfortable.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location . The food was very good and the lady serving breakfast was kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The reception and bar area was lovely and very comfortable and enjoyed the atmosphere to sit there and relax . Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly especially the young girl working on the bar area on Saturday night and the lady in the conservatory at breakfast .
Cons: The room we stayed in was very dated and poor . The bed was fair but only one pillow each. For this reason I do not think we would stay there again as it was not value for money. Although the room was very clean and could not fault that it spoilt the stay having to stop in such an old fashioned, dated room with a not so comfy bed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and friendly staff Room was outside so you could come and go as you please Nice countryside setting with sheep and cows in the fields to the rear The lady who served the breakfast to us was amazing
Cons: The lighting by the mirror could have been better

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, right in the heart of Maryport. Friendly and welcoming staff, good breakfast and relaxed restaurant for the evenings
Cons: The weather was unusually hot so it was hard to get the temperature down in the room, the hotel car park was shared by an outdoor seating area for the pub next door which made entry and exit difficult on occasion. However these are minor points compared to the overall stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were lovely.
Cons: The hotel was quite dated and the town centre ru down. Lack of good restaurants. Very quiet, no atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, the restaurant food was lovely, top marks. Allocated room (No. 15) was a bit of a hike with cases, but, well worth it for the view. We hope to return.
Cons: Some might dislike the no wifi service in rooms, but if I wanted to watch Netflix or amazon I'd have stayed at home.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Being locked out at 12.30
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Maryport is a surprisingly interesting fishing port. The town has seen better days and some of the shops are throwbacks to the sixties. The Golden Lion however has kept up despite it's history back to the 19th century. It is immaculately kept and efficiently run by a very friendly staff. The breakfasts are ample and the bar well stocked. There is a car park beside the hotel which is 150m from the harbour entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, friendly hotel, ideally situated. Every near bye. Will definitely come again
9.3 Excellent

Cons: Could not find anything that disappointed us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There are no elevators and I was given a room on the third floor -- not fun with a heavy suitcase. But staff were cheery and the manager was kind enough to haul up the suitcase to my room. Breakfast was excellent.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast choice was limited, but the actual cooking was excellent. Location both interesting and very attractive.
Cons: Neighboring pub noisy on turning out, but that is because their customers cannot take their drink.

Cons: Parking wasnt great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, however, get there early for a spot within the hotel car park. Rooms were great, decor great, staff were all extremely very pleasant and helpful
Cons: Although there is limited parking within the hotel boundary, the hotel has tried to improve this by having an overflow car park approx. 200m away from it - not sure about security though (i.e. damage from vandals etc. which I know can always be repaired but not so the inconvenience that might come with it)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The service and the food was great. Was pleased to be upgraded to a room in the main hotel

4.3 Okay
Cons: Pretty poor, on the ground floor, window next to the footpath of a main road, came close to nearly slicing my head open whilst having a wash. quiet unsafe
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy access - the hotel is independent from reception. Good car parking, location okay, with bars/ restaurants within easy walking distance.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Good choice
Cons: N/A
5.8 Okay
Cons: The room was small and very out-dated, not as seen on website.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was great to be able to use the swimming pool at The Washington Hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Quiet in room despite location, clean, good amount of space in room
Cons: TV too small and wall mounted up high Wifi patchy at times (needs higher speed) Check in is across a busy junction from the actual hotel problems with keycard = navigating junction and about 100mtr walk not great in the rain.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: First of all, this isn’t a hotel...it’s more some kind of residence..and then 4 stars hotel???are you kidding me??? no reception..We were given a room for disabled people on ground floor with a nightmarish view even though the hotel was not fully booked. Terrible outdated room, furniture almost nonexistent, decor very tired, beds uncomfy, bathroom gets flooded everytime you use the shower..SLEEPWELL SOUNDS LIKE EUPHEMISM
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are wonderful, room is equipped with everything you need. Housekeeping is every day and exceptional. Perfect.
Cons: Nothing
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: There was nothing about this place that we liked
Cons: The room was noisy, no soft closers on the outside doors and people coming and going all night; the parking was diabolical; there was an extra charge for paying with a business credit card; the 'spa' was shabby with tiles falling off; and there was a £7.50 each charge to use the pool. They also charged an extra £35 because my wife came with me, rather than just me in a double, even though it was room only! Expensive shower for her in the morning. Dreadful, best avoid - there is much better value in the vicinity

Cons: Hotel very run down and not over clean. Television didn't work. They tried to fix it but still no luck. May have been due to poor WiFi signal. Staff tried their best but a lot of investment is required.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room 14 was exceptional! It was lovely and peaceful, clean and had an extra large, luxurious bed. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful.
Cons: Room 2 was situated too close to the bar, and my daughter and grandson got no sleep! The staff very kindly recified this situation the following morning however, by offering to move them into a quieter room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very Comfortable
5.8 Okay
Pros: Down stairs area and the bar was nice, the food was also nice and staff were lovely
Cons: The room was very dated and dirty and really not what you would expect for £130 but I was refunded £30 for this reason but still feel the room was more £50

6.3 Good
Pros: location near bus and train. Tasty breakfast.
Cons: very small single room. Room difficult to ventilate and noisey from traffic on busy road. I was woken up early in the morning by traffic noise. In the evening I had to turn up the TV because of traffic noise.
7.5 Good
Pros: Ideal Budget Hotel. Friendly service, good meals and comfortable room. Everything you need...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was newly furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Cons: Entrance to the hotel is a public bar. This might be offputting for families with small children.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Flexibility.
Cons: Sausages & bacons a bit salty.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was nice and well presented
Cons: Everything was OK no issues
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything else was very good, staff where spot on
Cons: The budget single room is right next to the main road with 0 sound proofing. I basically slept for about 2-3 hours and the traffic drowns out the TV so take earplugs or book a double room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A good size family room which was lovely and clean, the breakfast was good quality and contained a good variety, I didn't realize I had asked for something that wasn't included it the breakfast menu however it was provided so thank you, the staff were friendly overall a good base when visiting Maryport
Cons: my only negative was the carpet in the bathroom (that may be just a personal thing) as it was clean but for hygiene reasons a washable floor would be better
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cool bar, friendly accommodating staff. Breakfast was as good as you would expect
Cons: The decor in the reflects the price but I feel the curtains could’ve been a little thicker as it’s barely got dark in the room from the street lights.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Bar staff, friendly, but nothing about the room was good at all. Nothing else good to say really. When we checked they forgot to mention that we needed a parking permit timer from which they had behind the bar! Only found out about it from a random customer who was sat having a drink! So not good at all! Good have ended up with a fine!
Cons: The room was dreadful and cramped. Tiny double bed. The window was covered in bird poo and was an old fashioned lift up terraced window that wouldnt stay open. The cups were dirty, the bathroom door had been kicked in at the bottom. The noise from the passing traffic was horrendous. Even with the window shut it was as though you were sleeping outside. It was that bad we set off early hours without bothering with any breakfast. Should have gone with my first instincts when we pulled up outside the property; as it looked awful from the outside. Green paint peeling off everywhere on the windows, dirty and grotty! Trouble was I had already given my card details to book it, so would probably get charged anyway! From the outside you wouldn't think it was a hotel, especially when you turn in on the side street. It just looks like a grotty, dirty, run down terraced house. On the website they show a picture of a nice room. Don't know where they are but they arnt there! Whatever you do don't waste your money it was a disaster!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean lovely breakfast
Cons: Shower took ages to heat up. , Bed was quite hard and furniture looked little shabby

Pros: The staff were so friendly. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, food was excellent, didn't have breakfast as the food left for the continental breakfast was very little to choose from.
Cons: Dust bunnies down the side of the bed, cleaners should move the beds out and hoover. Lost the remote control so had to pull bed out to find it. Also found a lot of dust.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good meals
Cons: Shower never worked properly
