Extremely welcoming. Lovely couple. Very clean and having our own space was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your excellent hospitality Dale and Robert
Everything else was fine.
Had trouble finding it. A sign somewhere at the entrance. We rang the bell and no one came to the door We were then not sure if we were at the right place. I had to ring home to get their phone number as we couldn't find another 50 or a notice House on the hill. This in total took us 30 minutes of driving round in circles. After our phone call the host was standing at the gate. This could all have been averted with a simple sign at the roadside.
It was a LOVELY well kept property. The hosts are incredibly friendly and useful in guiding us to local know-how. Its like staying with a friend . The view from the room is spectacular. The access to living quarters and laundry room etc provides so much more than just a hotel. (Not that we were doing laundry on holiday, but you get it). I would return here next time I plan to travel that route.
I loved the breakfast because Im not a big eater in the morning. Its basic but enough for me. Yogurt, fruit, coffee, lots of feijoas (in season) the host went out of her way to send us with a take away breakfast fruit basket since we werent hungry when we checked out. Its literally like sleeping at a friends house.
Very hospitable hosts. Bed was very comfy and own private facilities. We're able to socialise with hosts which was good to find out about the area.
