10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ana was the perfect host, a very warm welcome and very helpful with advice on things to do locally. The apartment was immaculate and included some really nice touches, such as free fruit and water to help balance out the plentiful supply of free sweets. Substantial and delicious breakfast too.

Pros: Everything was perfect! Really spacious and clean appartment located in the very center of the town. It feels more like home than a hotel to be honest

Pros: Thanks a lot to Ana, she was very hospitable and the breakfast was delicious! In the apartment you can find everything for the comfortable stay and feel like at home!
Cons: We were unlucky to be there at a very hot weather (>40C) and during the weekend, so it was not easy to sleep, but in not such extreme conditions there wouldn't be any problem.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was very clean and tidy and had all the necessary facilities to be able to travel lightly. The location was central to bars, cafes, restaurants, banking facilities and shops - all within a very short 1 minute walking distance. The town has a very relaxed atmosphere where people can chill, enjoy good food and drink and enjoy the great weather. Having driven to the location, parking was widely available and also free. Ana is also a very well organised host who fortunately speaks excellent English as my Portugese is very poor - but I hope to improve!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It seems you are in your own flat. So cozy, clean and bright. You can find candies everywhere, old books, unusual furniture-all these things make the flat unique. The owner of this accommodation is Ann - the most hospitable woman of the area!

Pros: Beautiful completely renovated Convent. Our room was very modern and overlooked the nearby river. The staff were very helpful and gave us details of a number of local trips to enjoy the scenery. The property is a short walk from the village
Cons: No restaurant on site, so needed to take a short walk to the town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Interesting converted building in top location. Everything was good room, staff, information, helpfulness etc, etc. Breakfast was quite a calm experience great food freshly prepared with very efficient staff. We didn’t have dinner but were offered a Degustation menu that looked very good. We ate out and were underwhelmed by the restaurants in town so the Hotel might be a good option. Complimentary parking on site external but within ‘the compound’ so safe enough. There were several Bikes (Motos) parked without issue. Fully recommended.
Cons: No dislikes at all
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else ! The welcome was warm and sincere. We were shown to our room, with explanations along the route regarding breakfast etc. The beds were super comfortable, the AC was excellent. Very spacious room with a first class bathroom, very good Rituals toiletries supplied. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of breads, fruits, cheeses, cold meats, fruit juices, cakes and pastries. . . Only the coffee was not up to the high standard of everything else. Check out was simple, friendly and efficient. I'd return in an instant.
Cons: The coffee at breakfast time didn't taste so good and it wasn't hot.

Pros: Great balcony view to the river, delicious breakfast and wonderful hospitality. one of the best places we stayed in in Portugal for sure.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: a real charmy place, well decorated. very clean and staff very helpful and nice.
Cons: Bed was somehow hard could feel the springs, No plug on bathtub so no bath... the room was not sufficiently insulated and no real privacy , we could hear all about in next bedroom. No TV in rooms and there is nothing to do in the area at night. Only one TV in living room but quite old. Breakfast was great however it was quite uncomfortable to share a table with strangers. There is enough space to set three separate tables for two..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! And I really do mean it! We were so amazed by the location and the host.l, Jorge. When it was to late to get any food, Jorge kindly provided us with very good vine and snaks. Thank you for everything! Easily the best accommodations we had on our journey.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was a highlight of our lodging experience. What an excellent b&b! Jorge was so kind and classy. A real gentleman host. His home is like something out of architectural digest. His taste is impecable. We felt so lucky to share. Also, although a bit remote, Jorge showed us how to walk down to the floating pool on the beautiful lake. We grabbed a beer at the concession stand. I wish we could have stayed longer. Also, breakfast was so delicious! Just stay here. You will love Quinta da Eira Velha!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was top shelf. Excellent!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the house to ourselves and everything was beautifully styled. As well as our loft-style bedroom and bathroom guests had access to their own kitchen and large sitting room. The owner was on hand to give us information about the surroundings as well as where to eat locally. Excellent breakfast - especially for gluten-free.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house has a lot of character and we liked the way it has been restored. The location is quiet and peaceful and we loved to spend time in the garden which has a very nice view on the lake. We had a great walk in the surrounding hills. Breakfast was excellent as well. Special mention for the jams: homemade and gorgeous!! In total we got 7 or 8 different ones during the 2 mornings we had breakfast here and they were the best I have ever tasted! Special thanks to Jorge for being such a great host.

Pros: Best place we ever visited in Portugal... exelent conditions, comfort, simpaty, and the best of all; the balcony breakfast is a world class experience. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is breathtaking... from the moment you get through the gates... Vera was very helpful always and made you feel at home. The best place I’ve stayed, so relaxing... the views from the property are spectacular... Hope one day to comeback!
Cons: Don’t have one thing that I didn’t like
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The views from any point of the property are just stunning. The silence, the peacefullness, the garden with birds singing was just amazing, multiplied by the lucky chance that my husband and I were the only guests. The breakfast was nice, Ms Lina, who served it, was very kind and attentive.
Cons: The wifi in the room was almost none. We were adviced to put the PCs in the "flight" mode, but, naturally, it blocked it at all. The water wasn't hot enough. Since the wifi in the room was not working, and we had to work online, we moved to the cosy living-room with wonderful views and comfortable sofas where we were served breakfast. The internet there was perfect. Unfortunately, after a while, we were explained by the hostess, Ms Sónia, that we couldn't stay in that living-room and had to move to a hall with a smaller, much less comfortable sofa, there was just 1 socket far away from the sofa, and it was pretty cold there. We didn't find it very hospitable, frankly speaking, especially provided that we were the only two guests in the property, and that the price for 1 night was 90 euros. For this price, we could count with a bit more considerate attitude. Next night we were working at the terrace next to the living-room and saw the hostess, Ms Sonia, having rest with somebody else there. We were surprised that, though she saw us, she even didn't greet us. We felt as if we were disturbing with our presence. The last day she also didn't show up to see us off. When we asked Ms Lina about our receit, she explained, that Ms Sonia had a headache and would send it to us by email later. First we were happy to know that the property was pet-friendly, paid the accomodation and sent a message that we were going to take our small dog with us. We received a very polite response with a list of conditions under which we could take it, and the information that it would cost us 10 euros extra per night. We were surpirsed to know that because we didn't see it written on the booking. We felt like though the property is pet-friendly, the pets are not particularly welcome there, and decided to leave it home. In general, our stay was nice and relaxing, but we can't say we experienced much hospitality exept for that of Ms Lina's...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vera is incredibly nice host. the place is wonderful, with great view, very calm, nice swimming pool.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Everything was been good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It exceeded completely my expectations. The room was huge, with the biggest bathroom I've ever seen. The hosts were very helpful and polite and the breakfast was well served. The pool was "salty", so for people allergic to chloride it is perfect. The place is extremely quiet and peaceful. There were only two couples using the pool. The surroundings offer you a wide choice of activities to do such as: fluvial beach, paddle, kayak (everything in less than 30min radius).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was very well taken care of and Alexandra and her husband went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Highly recommended!

7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was very clean and quiet. There was airco in the room.
Cons: The arrival was a bit strange. A man waited for us but he had no information about our reservation. He also had a bit a strange behaviour. When we left we didn't see anyone and we had no instructions about what to do in the morning. We just left the key of our room somewhere and left the hostel. And no, we didn't leave very early. I was reading a lot of good things about hospitality in the reviews. We can't agree with that. The bed was too hard.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: An error (on booking's part) caused me to book for a room that wasn't available, the staff was extremely nice and helpful in finding a place in another venue. Although we could not find one, they found an alternative and allowed mr to stay and use the facilities. Overall they were clean, modern and brand new. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: Nothing to declare
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the cutest, cheapest bestest place in Portugal. Everything has been thought of an exceeds expectations. Breakfast is a huge and varied buffet of delicious breads, pastries, cakes and cereals. Omg, delicious. I could live at this place. Just wonderful!
Cons: The WiFi, whilst fast doesn't really reach the upper back bedrooms
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hostel has it all. Immaculate clean and whitewashed. Everything is labelled and signposted. Lovelyspacious and airy dorm with pleanty of windows. Electricity outlets everywhere and good Wifi. Make your own coffeand it might be some free cakes. Superb bathrooms snd towels supplied. Very quiet even though it is on the main square. Cafe's right outside the door.
Cons: It was nothing at all which I did not like. Just that Constancia is a really sleepy town with no transport at all on Sat and Sun's.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very polite and professional. The breakfast was very good! The location is superb!
4.5 Okay
Pros: good breakfast and staff
Cons: A very small room only suitable for a midget. It was impossible to sleep in that warmth even with the air conditioning on. We booked the room for 2 nights but only But we only stayed 1. No alternatives were given...terrible!!!

Cons: All was top notch!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms: clean, comfortable, bunkbeds with lockers WC: clean, one WC per dormitory Staff: very friendly and welcoming Breakfast: diverse and delicious; amazing! Other: nice decoration, cozy place Location: in center
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is located right at the main square of Constância so it could not be better. During my stay there was some sort of an annual village fairy going on at the square with music and everything and I literally had the best view of it from my window. The hostel was quite quiet many times, not many people staying there. Constância is not that touristic, I think not even in high season. The owner Carina is a friendly young woman. She always wanted to ask if I am doing fine at her hostel. The common area of the hostel downstairs should also act as a public teahouse and it's decorated very well. Carina prepares a very good breakfast every morning.
Cons: I had the bad luck of having very noisy people in my dorm for two or three nights (super heavy snoring for literally the whole night), but that's not the hostel's fault.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful breakfast. the swimming pool was ver nice. Very, very good located. Personal very friendly. It is also very convenient to arrive by car to the facility.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambient, location. Rooms have balconies. There are not only showers but also bathtubes with an opening window which makes it unusual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for visiting the many sites of the town. The room was quiet and comfortable not cramped with a superb bathroom with walk in shower, slippers and bathrobes provides. Bar drinks were not expensive, plenty of areas to sit and watch the world go by after a busy day exploring the area. Free on site car park with ample parking. Nothing too much trouble for the friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: We were disappointed with the evening meal. Buffet style, so lots of choice, but the overall quality of the hot dishes wasn't great. There were a couple of coach parties so we accept that this could be the reason but at €25 per head (+ drinks) we expected better. Didn't bother the second night as plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location in the heart of town. Indoor and outdoor pools. Decent breakfast buffet with food replenished fast. Reception suggested changing from the room with view booked to one away from the weekend’s noisy party in town. Probably a good trade judging by other guests comments at breakfast! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Decent WiFi Lots of parking although it became very full with conference of Portugese football referees!
Cons: Our bedroom was surprisingly small. The AC was only full on or off. Slept with window open. Room not cleaned until late pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel, well located near the river and less than 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Very friendly staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our lovely hostess Amelia was welcoming and gave us a tour of the restaurants. She was lovely and took wonderful care of us.
Cons: We love to walk so directions to trails would have been nice but we found them anyway and had a lovely time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house is lovely, very clean and situated in a quiet area of a quiet town. The room itself was relatively small but perfect for one night. The en suite bathroom was spacious. We hadn't specified our arrival time but when we got there we called Paulo and within 5 minutes Emilia had arrived to let us in, show us around and make us feel welcome. This was the last night of our tour before heading to Lisbon airport. The reason for choosing Constancia was the closeness to Almourol castle and the distance of only 125 kms to Lisbon airport. I had wanted to see the castle for some time and was not disappointed - but please note that the last boat back from the castle is at 18:30. We just made it! Contrary to other reviewers, we had no issues at all finding the house. We entered the address in our Sat Nav and were taken right there. Paulo had also sent very good directions right after our booking was confirmed and we had those with us. There were no issues parking close to the house, free of charge. The post-office is nearby, as per the directions from Paolo. Next to it there is a park where there were oranges falling off the trees! We tried one and it was really delicious! This is the only place we stayed this trip where we also got a follow-up mail thanking us for staying which was very nice.
Cons: Although both sides did their best with French (we unfortunately do not speak Portuguese), Google translations, etc. we had a little misunderstanding with Emilia re. whether there were other guests staying in the house - we understood there weren't, but there were and by leaving the key in the door (which we thought was a good safety measure. We had been specifically asked to lock the door!) we managed to lock other guests out but due to the intervention of Paulo (who speaks good English) by phone all was solved! We were not offered the option of breakfast on the terrace. There was just one large table in the dining room for all the guests. I am sure the breakfast was lovely but I wasn't feeling great that morning so only ate a minimum. Didn't want to offend Emilia after all the trouble she went to preparing everything for us! Beware of the fact that the closest motorway to Constancia is the A23 which is electronic tolls only. We did not go for 'Via Verde' as we were in Spain most of the time and thought it would be easy to avoid these 'electronic' stretches in Portugal. Despite paying attention, we did not see any warning signs and on our last day we got caught out and are awaiting post from the Portuguese authorities! No fault of the hotel, obviously, but maybe worth mentioning.

Pros: We liked everything about Quinta Reforma! It is the third time and it won’t be the last. Peaceful yet within easy reach to the town. Comfy and spotless. It is equipped with everything one may need. A homely place. The Owner and caretaker are friendly, professional, always charming and most attentive to detail. The Owner even kindly opened the delicious saltwater pool three days before so that we could enjoy it. Reasonable value for money. We highly recommend!

Pros: Enjoyed our brief stay here – good stop off on way to Lisbon. Welcoming owner (Jose) met us on arrival. Nice room, cool despite 30 plus temperatures. Lovely garden for sitting out reading, with small swimming pool. Our satnav struggled a bit but easy to find on main road by a junction. Very quiet as very long driveway to an interesting house

Pros: Hospitality, Peace, Tranquillity, Excellent staff and an Amazing Host who went above and beyond to make our stay a very memorable experience. Thank you Jose for opening up your home and heart to our family and sharing with us the full extent of true Portuguese hospitality.. ..the Jose way!

Pros: The property was a very grand guest house, which was accessed via a private drive. The owner was there to meet us upon our arrival, showing us to our rooms and ensuring we were happy with everything. He even arranged for his driver to take us into town to a recommended restaurant for dinner. Once we had eaten we were driven back. First class service!!!
Cons: Difficult fault.

Pros: We booked our stay for just one night and ended up staying for 6 more. Beautiful and comfortable place to relax and enjoy learning the History of its foundation. You are welcomed by Natasha and Dana in a professional and friendly manner that makes you feel like a frequent customer. We felt as friends when we left a week later. The owner, Mr Alberty, is a well known personality in the area and is very much involved in the promotion and improvement of the Local tourism so, you will get your suggestions seriously taken into consideration. A very welcoming Host with whom I ended up having interesting conversations with. The breakfast is light but delicious with its excellent coffee, local bread and juices. The rooms and their exquisite features and elegant design, the common areas and bedrooms filled with pieces of past rich History almost stimulating your imagination and interest on your way to the breakfast room or bed for a relaxing sleep. The garden and its great variety of trees and flowers allow you to hear the songs of a few of the 18 registered bird species in that garden as well as the relaxing sound of the crickets either during the day or at night, which are always a guarantee of the distance of the city life one hopes for at a place like the Quinta de Coalhos. With regards to its location, if you do struggle with this, just ask Natasha, on a phone call to Quinta de Coalhos, to send their location on your "WhatsUp" app. However, once in Abrantes you should also follow the "Rural Tourism" plates you will find along the way and you will get there faster than your worrying mind may think. Enjoy your stay there. We certainly did.
Cons: We just have to complain to Apollo. The Sun was wild this week!!!!!

Pros: Beautiful country quinta which has been in the original family for 400 years. Very kind and helpful woman who was the owner and home decorated with family photos. Very inviting home and dining room with nice breakfast. The estate has a nice very private swimming pool in the garden which extends into the surrounding quinta. It was wonderfully peaceful and I enjoyed waking up to the melody sound of church bells and birds singing. Very much enjoyed talking with the charming owner.
Cons: It was difficult to find but apparently I did not receive the directions which the owner had carefully sent to me. There is not a restaurant in the village which is basically a church, a bar and surrounding homes. We followed her short directions to a nearby restaurant which was fine. Unfortunately I have asthma and the interior of the home was difficult for me.

Cons: The service in the bar/restaurant was appalling! We went to take a drink and some food and we were completely ignored by the waiter.
