great location in heart of Matera. really interesting being sited on top of old church. Good sized room and good bathroom
Kitchen facilities bit basic and dining table very small. Jacuzzi did not work. No breakfast provided after first day. No great loss. Ground floor room was dark.
We loved the location and the quality of the room. It was excellent and having a small kitchen was ideal to prepare snacks. The staff are so friendly. Matera is a beautiful town, interesting and appealling. The room built into the cave was large and comfortable.
The breakfast was limited, but local shops allowed us to supplement what was provided.
The staff were very friendly and helpful (even refusing to charge for the first of two nights when i was delayed by a transport strike). The room was incredible, set above an abandoned cave dwelling which guests are free to explore (staff happy to provide a tour). Room was comfortable and had all the mod cons one could expect. Thoroughly recommended for anyone considering a stay in this amazing city.
No, very happy with everything.
Matera is exceptionnal city. Must see. Residence San Giorgio is an excellent place to stay to enjoy all that Matera has to offer. THe visit of Sassi, romantic diner closeby ....
very spacious room with kitchen and loft
the bathroom was quite small
the room and its design and comfort
Fantastic location, authentic restructured building
No breakfast available, difficult to find parking place
friendly staff and close to attractions
the mothod of finding our room was very "James Bond" with meeting at strange places and phone clalls to make contact
The suite was incredible - one of those places you can't believe you're staying in, or can afford to stay in. We loved everything about it!
This is truly a remarkable facility and it deserves special acclaim! The basement of the the hotel was a church built over 1,000 years ago. The manager of the hotel was so generous with his time giving us a tour and explaining the history of Matera.
