Pros: Everything! The room, the stay, the SPA, the food Lovely
Pros: Wonderful stay in a beautiful castle with a very nice garden... we couldn’t have been happier there. If you worry that Mathod is quite a small village - there is an amazing restaurant right across the street, “Bras d’Or”. Breakfast was also incredible - thank you for everything!
Cons: Leaving this beautiful place
Pros: We had really relaxing time with jakuzi, spa and also fun time. Really recommended for couples. Suggestion: one hour for using spa may be free?
Pros: Enchanting structure in the countryside between Lake of Geneva and Lake of Neuchatel. Really quiet and relaxing with all the comfort you need. Yannick is such a great host, everything perfect.
Pros: Yes the croissants were wonderful and fresh, as was the bread and cheese and also home made preserves. Yannick was an excellent host, very informative and hospitable, we were luck to find this gem.
Pros: A small town near Yverdon and close drive to really nice walks and views . Great for a getaway - quiet , clean and breakfast was great. The room is really cute and grounds are very peaceful.
Cons: We really enjoyed our stay - there was some noise from upstairs when we were resting but we called and it went quieted quickly .
Pros: Privacy and enclosed gardens. Welcoming and attentive reception and service throughout the stay. Separate kitchen. Excellent spa facilities.
Pros: The property was very clean, well appointed, and M / Mme Gauchat were very attentive hosts. The breakfasts were a delight
Cons: Nothing all was very good
Pros: To be remembered for next visit.
Pros: very clean, good bed, very friendly staff, breakfast is really worth the money, recommended, free parking spot (big enough)
Cons: location is not central. not checked how to get there with public transport.
Pros: Location near Jura and the lake.
Cons: All was good
Cons: No ironing board
Pros: The owners could not have been more helpful & welcoming.
Pros: A quiet spot in a residential area. A private terrace with the room. Very friendly reception. Enormous area consisting of room, bedroom and bathroom. Owners provided conversion plug for Swiss power connection, which was verythoughtful as it's unique to Switzerland.
Cons: Couldn't fault anything!

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Pros: A lovely hotel with a multilingual, friendly owner. Really comfortable room that felt very safe, important for me when I’m alone. Secure parking available for a fee, but with a car full of luggage very worth it. Loved the place.
Pros: Modern and clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent location.
Pros: Friendly and helpful personnel. Clean with many sitting areas to chill. Ideally located near the train station and the city center. Will come back for surd
Pros: Got up too early for breakfast
Cons: Would be nice to have a fridge in the room
Pros: I love this hotel. It’s beautifully renovated, the interior very modern, very well thought out. Great shower with terrific water pressure. Loads of surface space which I really appreciate when living out of a suitcase. Comfortable bed, lovely linens. Good bathroom lighting, spotlessly clean and really nice staff. I could not recommend it more.
The hotel has 44 rooms, junior suites with period features. The restaurant "Belle Epoque" proposes a modern twist on regional dishes. The perfect place for events, the hotel has 4 fully equipped conference rooms, from 35 to 160 m2, as well as a newly built terrace affords exceptional panoramic views. A place to relax, a heated swimming pool available to guests.
Pros: Nice view, great nature around, sunrise and sunset, quiet and peacefull.
Cons: Not well maintained, too expensive for the relatively bad comfort, terrible breakfast buffet (everything was missing, from good to plates).
Pros: Half of the rooms have a beautiful view to the valley, friendly staff
Cons: The hotel is relatively old, beds not so comfortable, dinner took forever, mediocre food that was a bit too expensive. I would not come back
Pros: Quite room for a comfortable sleep and stay.
Cons: A double bed is preferrable than two single beds for a single person in a room.
Pros: Hands down great location!
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Pros: The restaurant is great but has not enough capacity to serve all guests. We had dinner only once here. The view is amazing. Nice Spa area... Great spot to explore the Jura. Will return
Cons: The Hotel is 3,5km from the next train station. Trains from Yverdon arrive there every 30min. Somewhat a bus operates but only on a hourly basis and the bus has to be prebooked by phone. We walked to the hotel. It's kind of surprising this is not managed. I would expect to call reception and everything works then... It didn't. At breakfast there is nobody serving coffee. Everybody is queuing in front of a coffee machine... Bistro is very basic
Pros: The view is great, the staff super nice and helpful. Food is very good. The swimming pool is nice.
Cons: Bed a bit small otherwise everything was good.
Pros: This is a truly grand relic, think 'Overlook' in the Shining but fortunately not run by a couple with a young son. The pool, fitness area is great. The room fantastic, comfortable, spacious and quiet with great views. The Bistrot was very good and the service there was relaxed and the food was staple expert Swiss fare well done. In summer I guess the tennis court, outdoor mega chess and mini golf would be great. Looking at the black and white photos and the remaining art deco fittings this was indeed a grand hotel frequented by Charles Aznavour and the like...
Cons: Surprisingly cold front of house. Often a hello or goodbye not reciprocated. The breakfast was not good at all. The bread and coffee were OK but the selection in the buffet unimaginative, scraps of meat, small pots of warm yoghurt, reconstituted OJ, old fruit. No-one on hand supervising these. im sure, apart from the bread that the food was the same on Monday as on Sunday morning.

Pros: Very clean, pleasant staff, good restaurant, easy parking
Pros: Beautiful grounds, helpful staff, facilities are excellent, restaurant is superb. Room spacious, bathroom is spacious well organised and modern. Very clean.

Cons: Bland (institutional) room design and feel in the new wing
Pros: We like SPA and thermal swimming pools.
Cons: No air condition in the room.
Pros: Nice breakfirst, Nice seating outdoors. Getting the spa included was great.
Cons: A bit too far to walk to the center and restaurant. The restaurant in the hotel felt a bit over fancy and expencive.
Pros: Access to the thermal bath is included and you really can relax. The room are very clean and the stuff was very friendly. The breakfast is excellent, huge variety.
With a stay at Hotel de la Source in Yverdon-les-Bains, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Thermal Center and 11 minutes by foot from Maison d'Ailleurs. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Room was towards the main street. Curtains could not be closed while window open, therefore the lighting on the balcony was too bright and too disturbing.
Pros: New hotel in good location close to town centre. Useful to have a balcony as weather was hot.
Cons: Hotel was very warm inside after previous weeks hot weather and no climate control.
Pros: It's relatively small, modern hotel in a peaceful area, 10 minutes walking to the old town. The suite rooms on the ground floor go through the building with a front door facing the road & a back door to the garden. The road is not so busy & is very quiet at night. Also the rooms are set back from the road with a small garden. The room layout is good; a lounge, kitchen with high-table, washroom & then bedroom. The garden at the back leads to a fenced off grass area protecting a water-source & a public park-like area about 50m away; all very tranquil.
Cons: The rooms have a strong chemical smell/odour, possibly coming from the plastic floor, and no windows that open. The solution for us, was to live with both the front & back door *wide open, also at night*. Fortunately the weather made that possible, and we felt safe in the peaceful area. With the breeze from the garden & birds singing, it was ironically a pleasant experience.
Cons: No Aircon and outside lights cannot be switched off, so it is very bright in the room
Pros: The quality of the beds, the quiet room. Breakfest was good value for money.
Cons: The door to the bath could hardly be moved as it was too long (touching the floor).
Pros: Really nice hotel very close to the city centre

Pros: The location was great and the bed was very comfortable.very good Wi-Fi.
Cons: The breakfast look a bit too expensive

Pros: Great staff from the moment we checked in to when we left, and stunning location on the edge of a lake
Cons: Busy road in front and parking is a bit difficult although hotel was very helpful
Pros: Renovated rooms, great location, friendly staff
Cons: Very small bathroom
Pros: Location as it was very central. There was plenty of storage. Bed was very comfortable. The place felt very safe.
Cons: My partner needed a second pillow which was not available. There was no one there when we arrived to ask as it was Sunday afternoon. There was someone having a row at the back of the property one night! This was quite disturbing at 1pm! None of the staff spoke English which is a bit strange for a hotel.
Pros: proximity to train station, lake (/beach) behind the corner, good breakfast, room well cleaned, pub downstairs with belgian beers
Cons: third floor - not possible to move within the room for 2meters tall man, no air-con - especially in floor under roof, posibility to change air via two small windows
Pros: Overall a very nice experience
Cons: My room was near the road. It was a bit loud
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Not actually on the lake
Pros: Cost benefit very good and very near the train station plus the castle which is the attraction

Located in Onnens, Hôtel Restaurant Bellevue Onnens is on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Yverdon-les-Bains Castle and Maison d'Ailleurs. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfast was good. Continental style with breakfast cereal, juice, yoghurt, tea or coffee etc.. The croissants, breads, cheese and ham were delicious. Would have liked to see more fresh fruit. The view from the room was beautiful, with a bit of lakeside and looking towards Yverdon. Beautiful outdoor seating area- great place to bring friends for a reasonably priced bistro lunch. Historic building 1648 has real atmosphere.
Cons: No air conditioning in the hotel so if really hot temperatures e.g 30+ open the shutters and forget the bedclothes. Dinner menu doesn't really cater for families with young adults 12+ - more of a gourmet restaurant therefore too expensive to take the whole family. They do have a kids menu for under 12 yrs though. :)
Pros: The breakfast was very good, and the view from the beakfast room was beautiful.
Cons: Sadly, the restaurant was closed the evening we were there
Pros: We had dessert in the bar. It was delicious. Very nice house
Pros: Breakfast was a good continental selection. I had a meal on the night I arrived - food was excellent.
Pros: Great Location with superb view over the lake Neuchatel and the Mountains
Cons: Breakfast is too limited and the coffee machines are disfunctional.
Pros: Enormous 4K tv in sitting-room, freshly baked, still warm bread at 06:30, duvet warm enough for the Antarctic, kettle in the room, as well as in the dining room with a freely accessible coffee machine, a shower cabin that would put a 4* Hotel to shame, with music, side and top showers
Pros: Clean rooms with very comfortable beds and all you might need (kettle, extra sheets, etc). There are lots of books and dvds. Free supply of different types of tea (coffee outside breakfast costs 1chf). Bathroom has a bathtub and a smart shower. All in all, somewhat well organized and good value for the money. If only it weren't for the following bad points ...
Cons: Judging by the other reviews raving about the hosts being so friendly and warm, I think we were really unlucky. Our experience was completely different: Flo & Pierre don't really have an idea of what it means to be a warm host. They both acted cold and distant, Flo actually never smiled with Pierre a bit more pleasant. And since the house is shared between the guests and the hosts, is really easy to feel uncomfortable. But as this might be subjective, here are some strange happenings: - Flo always goes trough the house and puts back objects in the exact, precomputed location: this pillow goes there, this chair sits exactly over here. With the guests actually there, trying to relax. - You always need to ask, even for the simplest of things, they never come to you with a "would you like to .. ?" - We opted for one dinner to be cooked by them. Pierre kindly said he can prepare some trout for us, just that we need to decide how many portions. Nice! We counted 4 portions and the 5th person was not into fish so I went and asked if the 5th option could be a steak. Flo quickly told me we cannot chose the menu at all (?!) but Pierre said he knew we want fish and it's ok and we settled for the 5th person to enjoy the vegetarian garnishing. Goodish. Then, the day of the dinner, around 3-4PM, just after we eat our own food (and they saw that), Pierre told us dinner will be ready at 6:30PM. No question asked, it'a given. We politely asked if 8PM should work and he said he's house is no restaurant and it's 6:30PM take it or leave it. We left it. I'll stop here, there's no point in remembering anymore of this. I'll assume we caught them in a bad moment. But, objectively fyi: - breakfast is light: there is milk, juice, some marmalade, 2 types of honey, sugar, butter, one fresh baguette and one sweet bread. There is coffee from a DeLonghi machine and lots of types of tea.
Pros: It's an amazing place to spend relaxing weekend in the countryside
Cons: We did enjoy a delicious break along with bio jams and fresh healthy milk
Pros: Very nice owner with excellence breakfast.
Cons: They use Buddha sign and stamp for decorate such bathroom curtain, Blanket , bed sheet, that is so fragile for who are Buddhism .
Pros: No traffic - countryside - farm animals - wonderful breakfast - very polite landlords.
Cons: The WiFi in the bedroom
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and we loved their pets, the 2 dogs and 4 cats and the donkeys! It has a very homely feel.
Cons: The bed though big was not very comfy. Also there was a lot of dust around the place. It was a bit far out of the town of Yverdon-les-bains with not a lot of regular public transport available.
Pros: The coffee was excellent and there was an impressive variety of teas. We loved the house and garden and the friendly atmosphere.
Cons: The narrow staircase up to the bathroom makes the property not really suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Cons: no AC / not much of sound insulation / wierd interior (lot of bird nests, plush animals and such as decoration)
