10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, nice location in champagne, we brought our bikes and this was a super place for road biking, very nice and helpful hosts!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decoration of the house and the rooms. Location of the property.
Cons: The owners needed to be present and awake to open the door in the evening. This meant that we had to agree on a certain final time of arrival when we went out in the evening. This has never caused a problem, but it would have been nicer if the entrance can be opened with a card or key independantly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, lovely home cooked food and jams and freshly made smoothies. Ann-Sophie and Frederic were so kind and thoughtful and very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect gem close to the champagne.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time we have stayed with Fred and Anne-Sophie. What a lovely couple they are, we are made to feel welcome every time we have visited. The food is outstanding and I couldn’t recommend eating with them more highly! We will certainly be back to see them again in due course.
Cons: We couldn’t stay longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous decor inside. Mega comfortable bed. Beautifully clean inside and out with the most magnificent view of the vines. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and beautifully laid out. We had an evening meal one night with food to die for and food allergies all catered. My sister and husband joined us for the meal, even though they were staying elsewhere but we asked Sophie in advance and they were exceptionally kind and generous to allow them to come. We had a most convivial evening with 4 other guest (delightful Italians), and I would highly recommend that anyone has at least one meal cooked by Fred - the best meal we had in France all summer and I know my food! We very much hope to return!!
Cons: Being British, we would have liked a kettle in our room with tea/coffee making facilities - but this is a minor point.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hosts who went out of their way to ensure we were well fed (we arrived late) and knew where to visit in the surrounding areas.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We came as guests and left as friends. Enjoy a very good breakfast and and make shure to take the advantage and stay in the house for Dinner. Champagner as a starter in a cosy athmosphere and then proceed into Frederic‘s kitchen. Don’t ask for the catch of the day.Just eat at the big table what he prepares. You will like it ! Enjoy your dinner with Fred and Anne Sophie like we did.

Pros: Beautiful, comfortable, superb decor. No TV so calm and can walk into village. Really good restaurant : la Comedia. Excellent French breakfast. Delightful people. Lovely gardens in the champagne vines

Pros: The hosts were great and very accommodating to our young children (ages 5 and 2). Breakfast delicious and everything was spotless.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Freshly squeezed juice, delicious ham, cheese and breads. Superb!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated room. All the details were well thought out. Very comfy bed. Charming hosts. Close to Avenue de Champagne plus the centre of Epernay but on a quiet residential street. Pretty courtyard garden. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly and charming owners. The decor, the comfortable bed , the stunning breakfast and the tranquil garden where we enjoyed a complementary bottle of champagne. The property also houses a gallery, antiquities and Marie’s paintings and studio. All in the centre of Épernay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners/hosts are some of the most genuine and lovely people you could ever ask to interact with at a B&B! The accommodations, breakfast, location, and hosts more than exceeded our expectations! our only regret is that we did not plan to stay here and in Epernay longer. We will most certainly return to Epernay and stay again at Au Jeu de Paume!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect from start to finish. The host’s attention to detail was superb. Would definitely recommend for a special treat.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor, inside and out. Great to have tea making facilities all day long. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was spectacular with fresh juice, eggs, yogurt, bread and jam, etc., etc. Private parking inside. A great antique shop too where we got a few things. We got a lovely bottle of champagne on arrival too - and the owners were welcoming and pleasant.
Cons: Would have been nice to have more privacy in the bathroom (the door is see-through) and some ability to take a shower without holding the shower handle. The antique bathtub is pretty, but difficult to manage if you just want a shower. (A very small thing but the toothbrush cup is chipped and glued back together - probably best to replace.) Would have been nice to have more products in the bathroom (cotton balls for example or ear swabs).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hosts - central location - quiet - secure off street parking - very clean rooms - excellent breakfast. I’m a hotelier so very picky and this B&B exceeded my expectations!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing place and the staff. Special thanks to the lady who serves the breakfast, she made us feel home, she cooked delicious cake for kids apart from all that tasty food served for breakfast, she helped us with the clothes. The property is located on the tourist champagne route, very quiet and beautiful area. The design of the house is very artistic - there are so many nice details your eye catches and the beds are super comfortable, bed linen is of a very high quality. I was really happy to stay there!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lots of character and very tastefully decorated. Heidi, the managers super charming and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the champagne region as directly in between Reims and Epernay. Staying in a small village like Rilly gives you a true understanding of how much locals are involved and passionate about the craft.
Cons: We stayed in Annexe 32 which is marketed as a self contained flat but is actually the first floor of the owners section of the house so you have to walk through the living area to access the rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, just between Reims and Epernay, perfect for our Champagne Tour. The breakfast the first 2 days was great! Lot's of fresh, delicious products. Champagne at breakfast was a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and bright, the airco worked wonders, as it was 40 degrees outside.... . Nice, delicious smelling products to use in the shower. Extra special touch are the little biscuits in the room, great welcome gift. Champagne bucket in each room The fully stocked honesty (Champagne) bar is perfect for a late night drink at the B&B.
Cons: The very nice sitting room could use some airco during the summer time, it's very nicely decorated, it was too hot to enjoy it. The breakfast room did have airco but it was (forgotten) not turned on. So it was not chilled the first day and it was too hot (during the day it was 40 degrees so already very hot in the morning). We turned on the airco ourselves that evening to avoid the same issue the next day. On the third day, the breakfast was served by a different person, less attention was paid to fresh products, as a group had breakfast before us nearly everything was finished and not refilled until asked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place was spot on. From the welcome glass of champagne to the easy check out. The garden was a little oasis, and very welcome after a day walking round the wine villages. Heidi was friendly and extremely helpful. We would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful, restful break.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, very kind and gentle hosts, excellent breakfast and not least very good champagne. Would gladly come back in the future!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings in the heart of a Champagne village, it was perfect. All of the staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were set up with all the amenities you could ever need. A welcome drink of Champagne upon arrival was a nice treat, and the breakfast the following morning was also particularly tasty with lots of home prepared food. No complaints!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect - come here you will not regret it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Imaginatively renovated bedroom and bathroom with loads of space. Lovely garden too.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a very clean and friendly place, staff were excellent and offered a great evening meal.
Cons: The bathroom was not en-suite and that was not clear in the add. We had to cross a common landing to get to the bathroom.
Champagne Domaine Sacret - Ay - Aÿ-Champagne - Building

9.4 Excellent (276 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Domaine Sacret Champagne Chambre d'hôtes in Ay, you'll be in the historical district, within a 5-minute drive of Moet et Chandon and Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cute interior decoration, though lacking privacy if you’re travelling as friends. Amazing brunch.
Cons: The house champagne wasn’t great and the area didn’t have a lot of variety in restaurants.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very comfortable, and had secure parking meaning we didn't worry about leaving things in the car. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was big. It was lovely having Clarins soap etc. Everyone was very friendly, and it was nice having access to the honesty bar. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The aircon was very noisy, so I couldn't sleep with it on. And unfortunately Ay has little to offer - one restaurant that was somewhat over-priced and that's it. It appears to be the same for so many French villages, even in a touristy place like Champagne, and so it doesn't encourage one to stay in the area. While I'd recommend Champagne Domaine Sacret, I wouldn't recommend bothering with the area: Champagne felt very over-rated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A newly converted, large room in a town centre residence. Everything about the place was luxurious, even to the Clarins toiletries in the shower-room. Our host was delightful, and provided a very professional wine tasting for guests shortly after we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with many local products.
Cons: The whole experience was so luxurious and welcoming that it would be inappropriate to look fro make any criticism.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Traditional French property with secure parking in a very pretty courtyard. Beautiful room with quality toiletries and tea/coffee.
Cons: Nothing you could dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet comfortable location and quickly became part if 'the village'. Loved staying at a Champagne house with the honor system for paying so we were able to help ourselves to the champagne at any time. Location allowed walking access to many excellent champagne houses.
Cons: Some people may find it too quiet or not enough choice in restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the personal attention from the owner. She was very present and helpful! The room was amazing. Exceeded our expectations ten fold! The breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the other guests.
Cons: We loved it all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit salad and home made yoghurt. Champagne tasting was excellent and included. Odile was a great hostess. This is a must visit B & B
Cons: All very good no complaints at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent welcome and service Great champagne tasting
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome from Odile. Enjoyed the champagne tasting. Excellent breakfast, especially the fruit salad.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was really original and well decorated. Champagne tasting of own production Staff was very helpfully
Cons: That you do not have your own table at breakfast but have to sit close to the other guests and be obligated to converse with strangers from the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting and history of the building
Cons: Restricted parking

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and good breakfast
Cons: Village location had nowhere to eat dinner. We had to drive 10km for an average meal
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Service was excellent, fantastic breakfast, very nice facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Edith, the owner, was charming and cooked us a great dinner including champagne. Breakfast also excellent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great host, large comfortable room and bed, great breakfast, clean, well stocked honesty bar.
Cons: Not much. Decor a little twee for our tastes but that’s being really picky and of course it’s on trend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place in a quiet area, very close to vineyards. Clean and chic room, big bathroom. The bed mattress and the pillows were very comfortable. Madam Edith is a very nice host and she prepared for us a romantic dinner (ordered 2 days in advance) with a bottle of Champagne included at a reasonable price. We were very happy that we could buy some bottles of Champagne from a local producer (the family is a Champagne producer as well). The breakfast was good with fresh cooked eggs, fruits, croissants and "pains au chocolat", a lot of "confitures", etc.
Cons: The smell from the kitchen came to our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the lady is very kind ! she cooked dinner for my husband and i which was very good! for breakfast you have everything you need, no remarks! well done and thank you for your kind hospitality
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful find, off the beaten track but very handily placed for a visit to Reims or even more so for a visit to the Champagne growers in the area. Lovely rooms and a fantastic breakfast spread.
Cons: Unfortunately we were there in the heatwave and the room was exceptionally hot with no AC, however, the host did everything she could to make the room more comfortable
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. Nice people. Good breakfast.
Cons: We had trouble locating the address as it was down a little alley. We had to travel 11 km to get to a restaurant. We had expected to eat in Verzy itself. The restaurant we ate in was excellent! It was Le Bouzy Rouge, in Bouzy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic guest house, a warm welcome, lovely room beautifully decorated. Excellent attention to detail. Superb breakfast. The owners produce their own Champagne so bought a case (no obligation to buy). A real gem in the heart of Champagne country. Thank you.
Cons: Would have liked to stay longer
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was uniquely decorated, in a fairly modern manner. It was very clean and the bathroom area was very reasonable sized and was equipped with toiletries, which is very useful for a short stay. There was a kettle to make hot drinks although only teas - it would be nice to also have the option of coffee. The lady who runs it was friendly and welcoming and had brilliant English and so we were able to communicate despite our minimal French. The breakfast was the best of our trip. There was a brilliant selection with freshly cooked eggs, breads, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and mueslis. The highlight though had to be the array of homemade jams and the tasty Nutella spread, to accompany the fresh pastries!
Cons: It was in a small village and the local restaurant was shut for a summer break, so it was a little drive to anywhere to eat (as mentioned in other reviews). Good options 10 or so minutes away though! Central to the Champagne region and if you want to explore the offerings then perhaps perfectly located, however as it is in the town centre there are no views. The bed was a little uncomfortable and our room (the top one) felt fairly small in size, perhaps due to the sloping ceiling. No big issue for a short trip though.

The establishment was also very easy to find and very near to the centre of Epernay. Very good variety for breakfast and generous as it was all self serve. 9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, updated, large rooms and nice amenities.
Cons: The TV shut down every 2 minutes and needed restarting. The settings were locked so it could not be fixed. The city of Chalon was deceiving and filled with dog feces and smelled horrible throughout the city.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quaint in a lovely location.
Cons: The toilet was just a cupboard in the bedroom. Not what you’d expect for 4 star.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: A bar would be nice in the evening
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location very nice decor
Cons: I have stayed here many times but have to say the price is getting very expensive for what it is
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good secure parking (pre-book) with a space labelled on arrival. Two friendly and helpful ladies on reception. They proposed a restaurant for dinner, different from the one I had identified and their recommendation proved good. The room was clean and what I expected. Breakfast was good. It turned out to be a good pick as a stop-over and we got on our way in the morning relaxed and refreshed.
Cons: Nothing to report.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly.
Cons: Decaf coffee at breakfast would have been nice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were within a short walk from the centre of town. Parking is a big issue so the fact we did not use our car for two days was a big bonus, we paid extra for reserved parking at the hotel which was worth every penny. Lots of restaurants in town with good food. There was lift which is not always available in a relatively small boutique type of hotel. Would be happy to return
Cons: Limited bar facilities on site

Pros: The hostess is so very sweet and helpful. The breakfast was very nice with local products. It's nice and quiet but close to everything :)!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We felt welcomed despite causing rather headache to the owners with our late arrival and 2 a bit wild children, spending only 1 night there on the way to South. Room very clean, simple yummy breakfast, comfortable beds and no hassle with check out. We had really relaxing short stay. And children loved it too, especially with a big summer fair in close by Zig Zag Park.
Cons: There is nothing not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and nicely decorated rooms. Very nice hosts, they cared for everything we needed. It's possible to bring your own dinner. Since we didn't bring something and wanted a small dinner for the family, Joy ordered tasty pizza for us. Breakfast was fine, too. Flowery court with view to the old church where we could dwell and chill out from long driving. Lovely hideout and peaceful stop on our way to Normandy. Thank you!

Pros: Lovely location not too far from Reims, Joy the owner was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern and in a lovely quiet courtyard. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay here.
Cons: Nothung
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Joy was very forthcoming and friendly. The room was well-appointed and spacious. The breakfast was good and served at one long table, which gave a family atmosphere. The location is rural: it is a working farm in a small village, so going out for a meal requires a little driving, but that was no problem for us. There is plenty of garden furniture on which one can sit in sun and shade in a garden corner of the farmyard.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect.
Cons: NTR

Pros: Really lovely and slightly quirky place on the outskirts of the town. Our hostess, Chantal was brilliant. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast very fresh bread, croissants, yogurt and coffee. Chantal is very helpful with local knowledge and suggestions for where to eat. The view across the vines and the terrace at the back are worth the 20 minute walk to the centre.
Cons: We were 3 friends and booked the room for 3 at the top of the house which was fine but a bit ‘cozy’! Would be perfect for a couple with a child.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cafe, restaurant and the room were wonderful. The owner and staff were really quite amazing. La Maison De Marie Caroline is a real find. I honestly did not want to leave. This was at the end of a long three weeks bike tour of Europe and was a true breath of fresh air. Chalons en Champagne is a really nice town with a good mix of sites and restaurants.
Cons: Having to leave
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Great for restaurants and shops.

Pros: This little hotel was perfect!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Maison is located very centrally to the town, everything is in easy walking distance. We would have had dinner in the Maison's restaurant, but it only operates at weekends - however, there was an abundance of alternatives. We chose one of the restaurants recommended (for regional cuisine) by the host and we were not disappointed. The host also described a good route of our early morning run - through the nearby park, via a wide boulevard to a alongside track. The covered market (a short walk away) was exceptional. Not only was all the produce (fruit, vegetables, fish, meat) fresh and enticing, but it was displayed with real pride.
Cons: It was advertised as 'nearby free parking' but it's only free 7.00pm-9.00am (ie overnight). That said, the parking was very nearby, not difficult to find (with sat nav) and cheap.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Continental breakfast was nice.
Cons: Room was a bit small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely restaurant and hotel with vegetarian food options.

Pros: A Lovely, charming, small hotel with an excellent restaurant and a small swimming pool, much needed after a hot day's driving. Large room and very good breakfast.
Cons: Other guests sitting and talking loudly in the courtyard that looks out onto the rooms when some of us were trying to get to sleep...
7.5 Good
Pros: The food
Cons: The prices of the winelist was a bit overrated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was exceptionally clean but little character. It suited us for a quick stop on the way down to the South of France
Cons: Nothing specifically, it would not be a place to spend more than a night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient and easy to find. Good restaurant, efficient service.
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Cons: The food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've used this hotel as a stopover for a few years and it gets better - particularly this year. The Le Relais annexe is beautifully restored and as it is separate from the main hotel, the breakfast there is a much nicer experience [this was the only negative feature of our earlier stays]. The dinner menus and quality of food and cuisine/presentation is excellent and the staff are, as always, welcoming, helpful and efficient.
Cons: From previous stays, breakfast in the main hotel is a bit chaotic - the servery area is cramped and thus crowded, and really needs redesigning. Breakfast itself is entirely satisfactory, varied and plentiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, clean and great value!
Cons: ...
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: Location in Rilly was good; Room was nice
Cons: Room was stuffy with no fan; bathroom, though modern and nice, was very inconvenient ... no shelves or hooks to put our toiletries, etc. Limited restaurants/amenities in town except for champagneries. We don't particularly like 'famiily style' breakfasts.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Space, location and a wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Lack of TV in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good. Very helpful and supportive hosts. Thank you.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cute little town, close to Reims and the touristic route of Champagne. Safe parking in the yard behind the locked gates. The owner is welcoming and speaks English. Breakfast consists of yogurt, jams, cheese and various baked goods. Someone in the family was a baker which you could definitely tell!
Cons: Was woken up by a tractor or something like it driving loudly in the yard for a while. Understandable, I bet, the owners have work to do, but still, it was 6.30.. No restaurants open on a Thursday night, only a champagne bar. Got recommendations from the owner and went for a tasty dinner in another town about 15 min away by car. Strict timeframes for arrival and breakfast, but again, that's usual with a B&B

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice chatelaine..booked restos etc. It's a good cheap-ish stop if you're overnight before the tunnel in pleasantly decorated comfortable room
Cons: Ay is a very weird place - it's an Art Deco industrial estate for producing Champagne which is fine but the hotel is stuck in the middle of all this and Ay is completely dead at night - not in the sense of no nightclubs or "vibrant" bars - it's just stone dead, no brasserie, no resto, no bar, rien...so you have to drive into Epernay and worry a bit about the bottle the two of you drink over dinner. Anyway, stuff it... I had another glass and and a cognac before driving back..result....
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in a quiet part of this quiet town. Nice pool and comfortable room.
Cons: Breakfast is massively overpriced . 16 Euros for a continental selection is just too much.

Pros: Great location, walking distance to many nice champagne house. Swimming pool, nice breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: Everything was fine. Nothing to criticize.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great toiletries & free water/tea/coffee in the bar, good breakfast & able to make your own boiled eggs
Cons: Air conditioning was a bit random & WiFi was poor
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were warm and welcoming, and very attentive and helpful during our stay. The hotel is wonderfully located in the middle of the Champagne region and the town of Ay, and is full of charm. We had a family room, with adjoining room, and it was perfect for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was quiet, I think all the Champagne tours take place Monday to Thursday and we stayed on a Saturday. Breakfast was good and varied. Room was brilliant for a family of 4 (Family Suite) with a separate room with 2 singles beds and TV for the kids. Pool was an added bonus after a long hot drive from Switzerland.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We paid for Breakfast if that is considered an extra service for “bed and breakfast”! It was a lovely old building with a lift, A/C and a nice bathroom. Our group enjoyed the offering at breakfast.
Cons: We wish we had been told that the only place in the town open for food on a Sunday would not accept us without a reservation....we then had to retrieve the car and drive from village to village to Epernay to find anywhere open with one of our party who was quite frail.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old Champagne house that has been renovated.
Cons: There was no bar facilities other than the mini bar with one bottle of beer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We used the private parking facility which was worth the extra €5. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable it was a great night's sleep. The Bathroom is very large with jacuzzi bath. There was a well stocked mini fridge as well as a coffee making machine. The safe was a generous size making safe storage easier for our valuables. We had dinner in the bistro and the food was superb. The duck was delicious beyond words. After dinner the chef came and said hello to guests and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We complimented him on his excellent skills. He was so friendly and humble. All waiting staff were brilliant with their attentiveness and attention to detail. Breakfast was also excellent with a selection of eggs, meats, cheese, croissants, cereals, fruit and juice. Coffee was great and we felt well fed and ready for our journey.
Cons: A small attention to detail that needs to be addressed at breakfast......the meats were not covered and it wasn't long before a fly or two became attracted to it which was a turn off. Such a shame as the cheeses and yogurts were protected under cover so perhaps just one more cover for the meat would complete the presentation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived to be greeted by charming, English speaking staff and were quickly installed in our rooms. We had a delicious dinner in the Brasserie restaurant which also did an amazing meal for our children.
Cons: Motjkng

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location on the Avenue de Champagne, pool, very friendly staff and beautiful house
Cons: we had to pay 15 euros extra for the parking, which is a bit ridiculous considering the category of hotel, and the price of the stay
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: This was an extremely overpriced and poor hotel
Cons: This was in no way a 5 star accommodation. It is significantly overpriced - you have to pay for car parking and for breakfast. Cleanliness was exceptionally poor; the facilities are lacking with no food available during the day or evening and the pool area and bar area were extremely poor. I would also not recommend a stay in Epernay! Poor facilities and unwelcoming place

Pros: Everything, the lady spoke little English, but was jolly and helpful. The House / Hotel was like a Swiss Chalet inside and most beautiful, almost all new.
Cons: We did not know when we would arrive, she wanted guests to arrive before 21hrs which is reasonable - however we were not sure that was possible. Therefor she wanted to charge 10 Euros more if we were late, as it happened we were early and that was great. There was no restaurant nearby, but we found a super Pizza take away - eat in place who looked after us, just before he closed at 21hrs... All in all NICE.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Very nice and quiet hotel in the middle of nowhere! I love it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom was great size and fully accessible. Room good size. Breakfast good. Owner friendly

Pros: We used this gite as a stopover for 1 night. It is in a remote location about 17 miles from the motorway. The property is full of character and the host was very amenable. Not much else around. We travelled 7kms to the next village for an evening meal at 8.30, but the two of the three eateries were closing. Nevertheless, a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Cons: Quite difficult to find.
