The owner and his assistant were so congenial and even gave us a ride into Negreira in evening so that we could sightsee. Such a warm cosy, homey place to stay. Rustic living in this stone building built in the 1700's. They do serve dinner and also a help-yourself breakfast which is laid out the night before. It was a truly enjoyable experience to chat in the dining room with the owner and other guests over a glass of wine. Would go back and recommend this place to anyone who appreciates history, antiques and warmth of the young male owner who explained that this is the home belonging to his family's generations. The only slight set-back was as we were hiking from Santiago de Compostela, we were anxious to settle down and the sign from our trail indicated that Albergue Turistico de Logrosa was 700 metres from road. The undulalations of the road seemed to be much farther but that may have been because we were exhausted.
Nice view Supper is too expensive compared to quality.
It's in a beautiful location and the stay is very pleasant experience. Also they cook great food in the evenings.
The huge window walls with expansive views of the bay -------the large, comfortable beds-----spotless clean bathroom----hearty breakfast The man (owner?) who checked us in could not have been more UNfriendly and unwelcoming. We paid a premium for our view room and he treated us like dirt. He should be not in the hospitality business. -------- We thought our view would be of the Atlantic Ocean and full sunset......but it was of the Bay instead-----very nice, but the hotel description should make this distinction clear.
clean friendly in a lovely setting
The hotel is immaculate with great ambience and all comforts fir an excellent price. They serve a great breakfast with a variety of fruits, toast and pastries. There is also a nice little walking trail to the ocean that starts not far from the hotel. Some people may not like the bit of an uphill walk from town, but it really is well marked and less than the 1km indicated on their sign.
Panoramic view from room- fabulous. Relaxed breakfast- would have evening meal if going again- home cooking. 2 km from lighthouse. shower door seal leaked
Lovely position when we found the hotel. Definitely quirky. There was a lack of hot water on each of the 2 nights we stayed there. We were rather taken aback to find that each couple had to choose the same food for the main course from the dinner menu i.e. one couldn't have fish and the other meat. Menu is always the same so there is encouragement not to eat there every night of one's stay.
Comfortable and very pleasantly furnished room (we had one without a balcony) with a good bathroom. Lots of bread and cake provided for breakfast!
Nice hotel, impressing landscape. -----------------------------------
View from bedroom and decor - simple quality. Food was good and local.
The price was great and well located. Very noicy rooms. Hallways smelled fishy.
indifferent staff, moderately quiet, adequate for 1 night,
Freindly staff, clean room. We stayed at Ancora in December and there was very poor heating and insulation in our room. Also the hot water was turned off so we had a cold shower after a cold night at the hotel. I guess the hotel is better prepared for summer temperature.
I like it very much. It's an informal ambient and we feel very free. the breakfast it's not worth
spotlessly clean owners kind and helpful catering extremely good hotel excellent value for money !! Was most impressed no was very happy
knowing after walking all day with my rucksack that there would be a room for me the hotel room was expensive compared to others easily available in the same area (if I had waited until I arrived in Fisterra)
It is conviniently close to the beautiful Finisterre port and on the way to the Lighthouse. The service was great with very cute rooms. to many stairs when we had big luggage.
Excelent location and services. Limited staff but very attentive to allrequirements.
Perfect location for all the beaches. Nice room, big bathroom. Charming small town, few foreign tourists, good food anywhere. No parking problems. The optional breakfast is not worth to buy.
Pedestrianised road, so quiet. Clean. Very central and near beach. smell in room - perhaps from cigarette smoke of previous occupants, or cleaning products. No breakfast included in price - perhaps could have been a bit cheaper for low season.
Very good region Galego.Helpfull manager. In the center of small town.Generaly nice small hotel. week wi fi above second flor.
Good location, friendly manager. Wireless internet didn't work on the top floor.
Villa do Son is an inexpensive hotel, clean and set in a beautiful location, perfect for anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela. The manager whilst speaking only a little English is very helpful and will do a translation on Google. Seafood locally is fantastic and inexpensive. Porto do Son is a lovely place to visit but luckily, Marbella it ain't! .
Proximity to beach and a comforting venue for Camino de Santiago/Finisterre hikers. Breakfast buffet was terrific. Did not like discovering that my credit card was being charged as a no-show when we definitely checked in on Sept.27 in room 306.Seemed to be a shortage of staff. They booked a double bed rather than 2 beds for 2. However we did manage to get 2 beds.
Near the Beach. Hotel modern and friendly. Lots of building work around, but the hotel itself was excellent!
Great location, just minutes from the beach and a half hour walk to Finisterre. Air conditioning would have been good.
Playa Lobgosteira was excellent value for money. We chose the very affordable and very recommended Junior Suite, which faced out towards the coast...a lovely bed, huge bathroom complete with jacuzzi and twin sinks, and ample living space. The days we visited had rain, so we didnt get much use of the balcony. The food and wine were also excellent. The staff were completely professional and very friendly. An impressive buffet breakfast was included in the price of the room. If you're visiting for a few days, this is a really nice spot to stay...and if you're crashing here at the end of the camino as we did, then this really is like entering through the pearly gates. The hotel is situated about 10 - 15 minutes walk away from Fisterre, along a pretty ugly stretch of road that had a good deal of building work going on. Although once in the hotel, we werent disturbed by the noise or sight of the works, it's not a nice road to walk along. Luckily, on the other side of the road is the beach, so it's literally a two minute walk from the hotel...there is a path that runs along the beach into town, so it is recommended to go this route rather than the road.
It is a well appointed modern hotel and seems to have been designed by someone who has stayed in lots of hotels and found something not quite right with the room. We could find nothing wrong with our room. It was comfortable and we had a lovely balcony with a sea view. We also enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. At first we were a little disappointed that the hotel was not in the centre of Finisterre but its excellent facilities soon overcame our disappointment.
Location was terrific, practically on the long sandy beach. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We walked to Fisterra Lighthouse to see the sunset but the hotel owner came and picked us up in his car to save us the walk back. They arranged sailing trips and taxis to hotels. Couldn't have been more accommodating. Excellent value for money.
Nothing The used condom lying on the floor outside the elevator
Good location, great room, good deal.
staff was really nice
good position, free parking in the streets near the hotel, nice town except for the seagulls that made a lot of noise all the time - in general, not bad
Staff quite terse. Couldn't get wifi to work
Very reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly, helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. It's not fancy but it's everything you need. There was no parking facilities but at this te of year it wasn't a problem for me. I was able to park on the street very near the hotel.
Very comfortable and clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. no
Friendly, helpful staff, excellent room and restaurant, very comfortable beds (we were walking the camino from Santiago to Finisterre, so this was very important) None
very comfotable, friendly efficient staff and a very good restaurant.
A lovely hotel, very comfortable we had a double bed each, I booked a twin room. Staff very friendly & efficient. We had a delicious lunch there. Open early for breakfast -7am
Great staff, beautiful room, quiet location yet central
The staff were very friendly. Large rooms with enormous beds. On a rather busy street.
It is a good hotel comparing to others in the same place. Correct servive, excelent people that helps in any subject
This is a wonderful place to stay, be it for one night or a week. Very friendly and welcoming, wonderful old building, but it is in the middle of nowhere so have their homecooked dinner.
Very quiet and cosy casa rural, with friendly owners, easy access and good breakfast.
Very friendly staff, very nice rooms, unfortunately no sea sight but that setback is easily compensated for by the good points.
Very nice hotel, great view of bay, very good approach of personnel, beautiful countryside the price is quite high, but the services are very good, especially in contrary to the prices and services to local restaurants
the young, relaxed staff were very helpful if approached with requests, the rooms were perfectly cleaned every day, breakfast is rich (for Spanish standards), seaview from the special rooms
Fantastic Breakfast Buffet which we couldn't do justice to. It being the quiet season and not many people in the hotel, who was going to eat it all ? Breakfast was not available until 0900 hrs. which can be a little late to start the day
I had problems with the Wi-access. The staff changed the password because the ancient one was not compatible with no sapnish computers and smartphones. i think it was very kind Th breakfast could be a bit better....
The space was beautiful and well appointed. The room and public areas were immaculate. There was no restaurant, as advertised on the web space. Signage to get there was inadequate and inaccurate.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was easy access to the harbour with lots of eating places.
very clean, modern a little bit out of town
Beautiful old-style house with modern equipment. Nice family lead hotel with great service. Within walking distance to beach and town. Hottub!!!
location, pleasant surroundings Stunning views from bedroom blocked by trees, some road noise. Hotel info implies a greater level of restaurante options. There was one simple room with adequate menu - on the expensive side by local standards.
The sympathy of the owers, the view of the room, the free internet and the gardens out side. The fact that the resataurant was not working, and we had to go a few miles to get dinner, it was not easy to find an open one that did serve dinner befor 22h00.
Helpful, welcoming hotel staff/owner. Beautiful views from the room which was immaculate, comfortable, and well-equipped Only bad point was that I did not call for directions because of language difficulties and tried to find the hotel using a map and local assistance. The town listed is actually just a small area of a larger town so no one knew how to direct me. I think changing the address listed to indicate the actual town would help.
Superb views; spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, all well equipped and maintained; extensive grounds. Rather isolated; one needed a car to reach any restaurants or other facilities. This could be seen as a good point!
Nice place in a very quiet environment. Half board is recommended, it's difficult to find restaurants in the neighborhood, and the dinner and wine at Casa Perfeuto Maria are very good. Ideal location to recover from a whole day visit to Santiago de Compostelo.
Loved being out in the country and the small, intimate dining and lodging experience. Very personal and charming! Food is delicious!!! No!
The view, the service, the spaciousness, the cleanliness, and the comfort of the room were all exceptional. I would highly recommend this pension, it was quite comfortable! The shower did not seal, which created a large puddle on the bathroom floor. The location, while creating a great view, was a good 10 minute walk from the pier.
Natural beauty, swimming pool, staff, size of room and views from it semi-rural area is nice but it's 45 minutes walk to Noia center
The staff were very friendly & helpful and the breakfast was superb! Beautiful selection of croissants/brioche/melon, great coffee etc. The swimming pool was closed (in mid Sept)
pleasant location with wonderful views of estuary and all staff were very very obliging
Clean rooms, nice interior and the courtyard, excellent bath, friendly staff, despite speaking only Spanish at night The sandy beach we saw in the internet picture in reality appeared to be a little bay full of mud; it took more than half an hour to find the hotel
Good buffet breakfasts; good size room;ability for my dog to stay morning of 24th July party from Barcelona started getting uo at 0400 eventually leaving a 0530 making alot of noise.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful The hotel owner was ill mannered and had a very poor understanding of "customer care".
Excellent rooms, beautiful view, swimming pool, parking, restaurant language problems, personnel practically did not speak any other language except spanish
The pleasant, clean, country outlook was very restive - especially once the road works stopped! We were very disappointed about the 5km walk to the hotel. We found the hotel by searching for hotels in Cee but 5 km away is not in Cee! The lack of dining facilities was sad.
