Pros: Staff and service,
Cons: Restyling the hotel, they didn’t put the enough signs to avoid accidents.
Pros: Property and Sunday brunch
Cons: Service and areas that were not available.
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful, the food very rich, the water of the pools at a good temperature (children enjoy this) and above all the excellent attention and kindness of all the staff
Pros: This property was so beautiful! The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant food was good. Everything was perfect.
Pros: Huge breakfast and delicious!
Cons: Maybe have Mariachis singing in restaurant!
Pros: Facilities, spa, people and also food, it was great!!
Cons: There were some flies around during breakfast for cakes
With a stay at Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa in Tequesquitengo, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Tequesquitengo Lake and Glorieta de las Alas. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The pool was freezing and my children were unable to swim. I understand it is the winter months however if this hotel wishes to charge this amount we should be able to use the facilities regardless of the month. A quick suggestion, invest in a water heating device for the swimming pool. Regards.
Pros: The history
Pros: Beautiful hacienda two hours away form Mexico city. Super clean with great staff.
Pros: - The premises, especially the gardens, are well maintained - Rooms are spatious - Insect repellent available in the rooms - Some of the personnel, particularly porters, were very helpful
Cons: - We did not feel welcome upon early arrival - No air conditioning in rooms - Wifi signal is very weak or non existent inside the rooms - Restaurant closes very early (9:30 PM) - Several announced activities not actually available (e.g. bowling) - Parts of the hotel were closed (some pools, games room) - No gym, no proper jogging trail - Staff was not informed about activities or other lunch/dining options around the lake or Tequesquitengo in general - Buffet available only for dinner (though quite limited--mostly meat, no salads or vegetarian/vegan options) - Shower area is dark, floor needs maintenance
Pros: The Hacienda is just amazing. We got a room with amazing views and very comfortable. It's a place definitely worth visiting, every detail is really well taken care of, and the swimming pool is probably the best swimming pool I've ever been to. The breakfast is also really good and all the services they offer (laundry, ironing, etc) are very useful. All the people working there are really nice too.
Pros: The amazing setting. It's simply stunning
Cons: The service around the pool was not very good.
Pros: It was an amazing experience !!
Pros: Service, staff attitude, food, room... Everything is perfect here.
Cons: The pool sometimes had insects floating around, it is understandable due to the size of it, though.
Pros: The buffett is excellent, the swimming pool is just wonderful, and the decoration is fantastic
Cons: Didn’t like the room’s bathroom, it was too big, but unconfortable
Cons: As we were the only customers staying in the hotel that night, the pool wasn't well looked after
Pros: Historic charm, modern convenience.
Located in Amacuzac, Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas is within a 15-minute drive of Jardines de Mexico and Tequesquitengo Lake. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is GORGEOUS........
Cons: It is not cheap, however bathrooms, are outdated... I had a serious slip in the tub/shower...., and no one to call for help at 1am... When leaving the staff audited to make sure I was not taking an item from the room, felt uncomfortable.... I clearly not only did not take anything, I was not planning on doing so.. When I Checked-in, It was strongly recommended that i up-grade the room I choose ... clearly the hotel was 30% occupied (on a Sunday night)... had they tried a “better”, kinder approach I might have gone for it..., the way they suggested-it, not only did I feel awkward, but made me look bad before my guest....
Pros: Special place, Very Charming haciënda . Piece of paradise
Pros: Beautiful old buildings, mix of nature and history. The bed was confortable and the bath tube huge. The staff was friendly and we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Cons: No internet in the rooms, the pool was not very clean, staff talked in front of our window both mornings at 8am. Food was just OK. Once you walk a little bit the property and not just the main access', you realize it could be better maintained and is a little dirty (for example lots of trash in the cascade next to the bar).
Pros: Loved it!!!
Cons: Wish they had a shuttle from the airport
Pros: Very well preserved in great nature, nice and friendly staff, time passed very nice and slowly there.
Pros: The gardens surrounding the Hacienda and the food
Cons: I'm under the impression that the hotel is incorrectly rated and advertised, per their website this is a 5 star hotel, but the reality is that it can only be a 3 star at the most. If correct expectation is set, I would provide a more positive feedback, unfortunately this is not possible due to the misinformation provided on their website.
Unwind at the spa and wellness centre at Casa del Guamuchol. Free WiFi access is available for added convenience. Private bathrooms include a shower and free toiletries. Lake views can be enjoyed from the room and extras include bed linen and a fan. Each room provides guests with a terrace, a seating area, and air conditioning. An outdoor pool, onsite restaurant, and bar are located at this adult-only Tequesquitengo hotel. Room service and daily maid service are available. Parking is provided for free. Stroll in the Gardens of Mexico (4.6 km) or enjoy the views of Lake Tequesquitengo (500 m). General Mariano Matamoros Airport is 36.2 km away.
Pros: The place, view and food are awesome!
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, didn’t expect it to be that cozy and beautiful. The staff was really kind. I would definitely consider staying again there in the future.
Pros: We had a lovely stay at Casa Del Guamuchil. The staff were so kind and helpful and the setting is beautiful. Our room was really comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast on the terrace was great and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time.
Cons: The only problem that we encountered was that we were making the booking from the UK. There is a required deposit that is needed to be made via transfer and a transfer costs 50 pounds to make from bank accounts in the UK to Mexico. This extra cost meant that we wanted to cancel the booking however, there was no option to cancel so we had to make the transfer at a cost to us. I would say that it is really inconvenient because of this. Unless you have a Mexican account that allows you to transfer, it is not possible without an additional charge to us.
Pros: The people is extremely helpful and caring, we never felt we missed anything, they served for us the whole time, great view, not crowded at all and amazing environment full of nature and peace.

Cuernavaca Airport is 18km from the property, while the centre of Cuernavaca can be reached within a 30 minutes’ drive.
Pros: The place is great - has a wonderful atmosphere and its very private. The hosts are amazing - the food is wonderful. Great for kids and grown ups alike.
Pros: Secluded and very quiet location, excellent staff.
Cons: At this time of year, lots of mosquitoes. We sat out to enjoy the beautiful garden, and the insects had a very good dinner.
Pros: The service and the facilities are amazing! We felt at home. Staff go for that extra mile to make your stay perfect!
Pros: It is the perfect oasis near Xichicalco, with excellent hosts in a perfect surrounding. Rooms are spacious and well equiped. The pool is perfect and the water temperature was inviting, even at 7 in the morning. The evening meal was delicious, starter with shrimps and avocado, a mouth melting tournedos with baked potatoes as a main course and a tarte tattin as perfect dessert. The wine was also exquisite! Our breakfast included freshly baked croissants and very good (strong) coffee. Françoise and Eric are very sympathetic and it was nice to be able to speak French in this Spanish speaking country. If you want to visit the marvellous Xochicalco, don't hesitate to spend a night at Casa Marly !

Pros: The rooms are very clean.
Cons: I didnt like the ashes and smoke from the burning of shrubbery outside the property. No fault of the hotel though.
Cons: The pool was very small and there were few lounge chairs
Pros: bed is ok
Cons: 1.till 20:30pm, the room is not ready. 2.no food, just handberg, very bad and expensive.

Pros: The facility
Pros: The property is beautiful. Stunning trees and gardens
Cons: Unfortunately the highway is nearby and can be heard at times
Pros: Although the staff couldn't speak English, they did everything to help us and they were very friendly! The hotel and its property are beautiful. The room was big, the shower was great and the 2 choices for lunch (enchiladas and cecina) were delicious!!
Cons: The wifi only worked in the lobby and restaurant. Sometimes it was hard to communicate with the staff because of language differences.
Pros: Staff did not speak good English but were helpful and friendly so we coped ok. It is a lovely building with nice gardens. Had a few creepy crawly bugs to deal with but given the location and an old building that was not a surprise. Out of the way place. Botanical Gardens of Mexico not far away were very good.
Cons: Had to chase the staff up for breakfast as we had to leave relatively early for the airport.
Pros: The bed was great. The room was extremely spacious....clean overall. There are some spots where you see some spider webs that should be addressed.
Pros: Amazing ranch views, the place is an absolute beauty. The location is excellent. Staff is very helpful and most of them are super friendly
Cons: If you’re looking for 5-Star comfort in the rooms, it might not be the place for you

Pros: Amazing place for an event, the garden is stunning and there is a relaxing environment. The staff was really nice and helpful. The swimming pool was just perfect
Cons: The internet didn´t work and the payment method wasn´t that much friendly they only accepted cash and they request a mandatory payment of at least 50% in order to keep the reservation
Pros: We went here for a family vacation and had a wonderful time. The gardens are beautiful, and the quiet surroundings are a real plus. We had places for private time and places to be together. Breakfast was great.
Pros: Beautiful gardens and the property is located in a quiet area
Cons: There are areas that are dirty pool toilete was really dirty
Pros: Breakfast and food nice.
Cons: the smell in the room
Pros: The place was perfect. I loved it.
Cons: The room didn’t have a coffee machine or anything, it would be nice if it had it.
Pros: Clean, confortable and nice
Cons: Not much to do around the location.
With a stay at Excelaris Grand Resort Conventions & Spa in Tequesquitengo, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Tequesquitengo Lake and Jardines de Mexico. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: No hot water. Bad food. Ugly decoration. Cold pool. Hard bed
Pros: Everything was as expected.
Cons: Decor a little bit old fashion.
Cons: A/C not working in our room after complaining 3 times we were moved to another room with the same problem. Very poor customer service for such a hi end resort. Both rooms were 80 degrees for our entire stay. Will not return!
Pros: There are good restaurants around it.
Cons: A/C didn’t work properly. No wifi in the rooms. Horrible music in the pool. There was a tv show shooting while we were there, definitely no place for kids. The property is old and the food Is not great. Not coming back ever.
Pros: It was good
Cons: May be service
Cons: The hotel is supposedly 5 stars which is clearly not. Staff was really nice but the installations are definitely not 5 stars I will give it a 3 . And the hotel was hosting a a lovers tv show that weekend and I don’t think it was appropriate if it is supposed to be a family ambiance . We went there for a wedding near by so there were not a lot of options. But I would stay back there or recommend it special because price was expensive for what they offered.
Pros: Service was excellent, all staff were very friendly. The spa is the hidden gem here.
Cons: Food could have been better

Hotel Master Club also features extensive gardens and a 24 hour front desk service. Cuernavaca can be reached in a 35-minute drive, while Tequesquitengo is only 10 minutes’ drive away.
Pros: Bed is comfortable and room is recently renewed. A/C is new and TV as well. Great Terrace with good view to the lake. Hotel Administrator-Receptionist-Accountant-Bell boy-Valet Parking is a nice guy :-)
Cons: Hotel is quite old. Certainly in the 80s it was a great accommodation! Restaurant does not look so clean. Free breakfast is a myth since it costs 25 MXN each. Expensive menu. Rate vs amenities does not represent cost-benefit.
Pros: The breakfast is traditional Mexican breakfast. The fries (papas) are THE BEST. So good. The food at the restaurant is really good in general, we had most of our meals there. The view over the lake is just outstanding.
Cons: A bit too expensive but still fine, because it is a really nice hotel. There is no refrigerator in the rooms though but the rooms in general are really nice and I think they all are located so that you have a stunning view over the beautiful lake. Remember that you pay per person and not for the room, so if you have someone else staying over they will ask you to pay for the stay of that person too. No one in the staff speaks English. There is no ATM close so don't forget to withdraw cash before your trip because you have to pay 15 % tip in cash each time you go for breakfast. Also, without a car or taxi it is impossible to get a around and taxi drivers only accept cash. The closest ATM is like 20-30 minutes away.
Pros: The pool area is very nice!
Cons: The beds are too hard
Pros: The view to the lake is stunning
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Cons: the water for washing is very bad. hard to clean the hair. the not shampoo .only a soap.
Pros: The food was very good but a bit expensive
Cons: The rooms were very small and they looked old, the bathrooms smelled awful
Pros: The apartment has a great location and a great lake view, but you can't cross the property to swim in the lake or use the resort pool if you don't pay $200 per person/ per day!!! which mean that you DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE LAKE OR POOL WITHOUT PAYING EXTRA FEES PER PERSON PER DAY. We were not informed that what was in the pictures and description wasn't included on our stay. We couldn't use the resort pool or stay at the common areas in front of the lake because the owner didn't have what they called "club de playa," IF you want to use it they will charge you an extra $200 PESOS PER PERSON PER DAY!!!!!!!! We were 4 people and there were 2 towels in the apartment we needed to share the towels, and they didn't have extra linens or pillow covers to the sofa bed were we had our kids sleeping, that was frustrating. We ended up living the property earlier than expected. We called the apartment owner to have explanation and in another words he said "it is what it is!

Pros: Awesome view and location, excellent staff attitude, good special dinner for the national holiday
Cons: Facilities inside the room, there are no shelves for bath items inside the shower. The shelf below the mirror is to tiny. The air conditioner only has one temperature setting.
Pros: Location was great right in the beginning of the lake. the room view was very nice, and we had a terrace and a sitting area. staff was attentive and courteous. The hotel being right in the lake makes it great to enjoy the water activities.
Cons: Hotel is way too dated and in dire need of refurbishing. The water in the pool was turbid and was not heated, except for a small section on the end, which for obvious reasons was too crowded to enjoy. The food in the restaurant was coffee shop quality at five star prices, definitely not worth it, but there are no alternatives. The bottle of water in the room had an outstanding price of $49.00 pesos. Hotel needs to pay more attention to pest control, as there are plenty of mosquitoes all around.
Pros: Great view.
Cons: Dirty old facilities bad showers in desperate need of black out blinds.
Pros: The pool area was comfortable, and the hotel has nice views of Tequesquitengo Lake.
Cons: The hotel is comfortabl3, but the facilities look super old. Need some improvement ASAP.
Pros: The beach club
Pros: Wheather only.... don't fall for the views
Cons: Let me be clear..the worst hotel I've ever stayed.Very very Old property, dirty rooms, dirty curtains, no ice machine near by, no coffee maker, very long walk to pool.you will get the least for your money!!!!!
Pros: To Feed the various color fish from the balcony of our room was unique, the experience was amazing for my children and for my.
Pros: I liked the excellent view over the lake , the cleanness and excelent air conditionning
Pros: the best is the view around the hotel. If you have a room which has a balcony to the lake, it is amazing. But for 125 US Dollar per night, it is not acceptable.
Cons: No WIFI in all the rooms. WIFI just available in the breakfast/dinner area. Also all the old furniture and air conditions should be replaced with new ones

Cons: Terribly maintained rooms with sewage issues. Had to leave hotel in the night and find new lodging without proper support.
Pros: The location
Cons: The room doesn't have closet The reception personal isn't kind The room doesn't have amenities like hair dresser, flor towel, hair conditioner Tue room in not ver clean

Pros: We went to a wedding nearby and this hotel fulfilled our expectations for the night. Comfortable and clean with A/C. Staff were nice and attentive.
Cons: Not a spot I would actually spend extra time in. Good if you’re only sleeping in.
Pros: The clerk received us past midnight with a smile.

Pros: Great installations clean and quiet

With a stay at Hotel Los Angeles in Tequesquitengo, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Tequesquitengo Lake and 9 minutes from Jardines de Mexico. Featured amenities include luggage storage and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff at Hotel Los Angeles were friendly and responded very quickly to our request for maintenance (a window wouldn't shut), extra towels, and a taxi. Our spacious room had A/C, which worked very well, and the mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. We really enjoyed going down to the open air restaurant, which overlooks the lake and a nice grassy area with plenty of chaise lounges and tables with umbrellas. It was fun to watch the young kids swing on the rope swing into the lake. The included breakfast is ordered off a menu--loved the huevos a la mexicana.
Cons: The road is pretty rough getting to the hotel, but maybe all the roads around the lake are like that. The bedspread was really old with holes in the backing. Neighboring guests were pretty loud outside our room at night. Staff could be a little more forthcoming about the activities the hotel offers--they didn't tell us anything about the boat, the kayaks, the jetski, or other nearby offerings. But like I said in the title, I'd go back.
Pros: People at the hotel were kind and atent
Cons: I liked everything

Pros: Everything was great
Pros: Value for money
Cons: Close to the highway. You can hear cars.

Pros: Nothing - I booked for 2 nights but stayed for 1 night. The staff were nice, but this is a motel, feels and looks like a cheap motel. I felt discouraged as I thought that by booking through www.booking.com you could have another level of hotels to offer.
Cons: The location, the entrance, the room, the position of the windows, that you could not see anything, so I felt I was in jail. The fact that it is a cheap motel, the pillows and bed had the appearance of not being clean, too much noise.
Cons: 1. parking: space very small and hotel can’t guarantee parking for all the rooms 2. bed: the mattress and bedclothes are too old
