Pros: The whole experience was great. The host was very welcoming and friendly. We only stayed one night. We could have stayed a week.
Cons: Not a lot.
Pros: This is a unique place to stay. You are welcomed by Orso Maria and you feel like you have been welcomed into the most amazing boutique hotel combined with being welcomed into a home. The location is stunning. Swimming in the pool gazing out at mountains is spectacular and your host has thought of everything - from a sauna to a little gym room. We were invited to a BBQ in the garden with the other guests which was just one of those perfect evenings with lovely people - and the wine kept flowing. It really is a very special place to stay. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Cons: It’s quite a hairy drive (even by Corsican standards) and mountain fog and free roaming cows add to the drama!
Pros: Location stunning, host very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Traditional style property. Nice to have the pool area to cool off.
Cons: Air conditioning would have been nice as was very hot. Fans were in the rooms.
Pros: The place is unique, has an incredible view, and everything you need was available in the room. The host was very friendly and helpful and we felt we had come to a genuine Corsican home.
Pros: The location was rather breath-taking and peaceful! The B&B was located in a picturesque village in the mountains at around 800 meter over sea level. All standards were high. High quality beds. High quality bathrooms. Great (although very carbohydrate-dense) breakfast. An almost overly nice host. A perfect place to find some peace and rest!
Cons: It certainly was not central, as it took around 40 minutes along small, winding roads to get down to the east coast. These small roads are not for the faint of heart!
Pros: Perfect standard. Nice view. Good pool area. Calm place. Good hiking possibilities. Good service.
Cons: A bit expensive for the location far away from decent restaurants. Dinner and breakfast ok but not extraordinary which you would expect with this price.
Pros: A breathtaking view from this little gem hidden among the mountains, where you can really calm down. Really friendly staff that takes great care of you. Fantastic breakfast!
Cons: The beds were a bit one the hard side.
Cons: The dinner consisted of A salad, cold meat and cheese. Nothing hot. All very good quality but not really what ypu expect for dinner in France!
Pros: Salt water pool Nice dinners with other travelers
Cons: Poor wifi
Pros: The place is wonderful, as is the host and the breakfast. We were four people in the suite on the top floor. It was spacious, modern and well air-conditioned. The view from the pool overlooking the valley was magnificent.
Cons: The only drawback of Campagna is that it is really in the middel of nowhere. We spent four nights here and had to do a lot of driving. Nearest supermarket is 35 minutes. That said, the Asco valley and Corte is just an hour away, with wonderful hikes. Nearby hikes is limited to San Petrone, which is not very interesting before your reach the summit (the entire hike is through forest with no view).
Located in Bustanico, at an altitude of 900 meters, this hotel offers panoramic views of the mountains and the valley, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. A billiard table, football table and pinball machine are available in the game room. Each room at Hotel U Liccedu features a shared bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A continental breakfast is served daily and a traditional restaurant is at your disposal on site. A farm with animals can be visited 200 metres away and horse rides can be done a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Located 18 km from Corte, Hotel U Liccedu is 18 km from the Museum of Corsica and 60 km from Bastia Airport.
Pros: This i a non tourtisted place. Go here if you want to discover real corsicans
Cons: Very fair prices. Old style enviroment. Nice mountain views
Pros: My relationship with the hotel began so-so: it was required to deposit into the account and make an international transfer, which cost me not only time, but money. Plus, the receiving bank also withdrew some very tangible amount of money from the transfer. I took into account all the costs - it turned out that I'll pay an extra day. What is not pleased. But there was nowhere to retreat))) To my surprise, the owner took all my expenses into account. He also helped to move the car when I almost fell off the parking(in my first day). In general, the people were very adequate, though they did not throw their arms around my neck. I really liked Corsica and plan to return here. And if the mountains are the key point of the journey and (important!) you know how to drive through the mountains - this hotel is an excellent option. And this is the geographical center of the island and a part of natural park of Corsica, by the way. Which is convenient, even if the mountains are not the key point)))
Cons: What was frankly bad is the lack of Internet. To be precise, it was only a couple of days in two weeks. If we take into account the poor cell phone in the mountains, we'll get an information vacuum. Which is not bad, if that's the goal. And it's bad if it's a complete surprise (my case). I chose to leave in hotel, and not at the now fashionable peasant house , not because of breakfast or towels, but because of the communication option. I've paid extra for it (the house is cheaper, obviously). And I did not get it.
Pros: Superb window view. Nice and tasteful interior. Owner was not excessively friendly (Corsican stile) - just as we like it. Location in the middle of nowhere - perfect. Cheep (for Corsica).
Cons: Shared bathroom. Somewhat low on facilities.
Pros: After the coast, we really enjoyed an authentic Corsican experience.... Jean Carlos is laconic and friendly. Whilst the decor is dated, the rooms are very clean, large and airy. The bed is comfortable. We were a little put out because we could only check in after 5pm but this should not discourage you.... Once checked in there is 24 hour access. You must try the homemade charcuterie and, if you are lucky, JC will make you local blini with goat/sheep's cheese... Yum. The location is great for walking and just be a little careful trusting Google maps for all roads... Some are not for normal cars!! Hit the bar in the evening and you will be treated to local card games, Corsican music and a strong sense of Corsican nationalism. I recommend.
Cons: We had nothing not to like.
Pros: Great place.Just as it says on the label. Lovely backwater of Corse
Pros: Everything there you need Excellent menu for dinner
Cons: Noisy toilet doors
Pros: Host is welcoming and easy going. If you want to discover this region on foot or with a bike there are not many options.
Cons: If you are to have a night out with friends this is a great place. If you need to dry your clothes, use wifi from your room and get a good nights sleep look elsewhere. wifi only works in the main hall. No electrical outlet near beds, there is one next to the mirror, behind a lid. Building is very thin walled and extremely noise prone.
Pros: Perfect breakfast, nice staff.
Cons: Problem with water (maybe according to the long term dry weather)
With a stay at Casa di Lucia in Mazzola, you'll be near ski lifts, and 12.3 mi (19.8 km) from University of Corsica Pascal Paoli and 12.4 mi (19.9 km) from Santos Manfredi Hospital. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Our hosts were very welcoming ...super view from this hotel... Great spot to relax! Super for couples... Super meal ...
Pros: It was just fantastic, the view, the rooms, the pool, the quietness, the food! Just amazing, i would recommend to everyone to stay at least 2 nights, its so peaceful!
Pros: Casa Lucia is a wonderful little place of calmness in the hills of Corte. Martine and Jean-Charles are wonderful hosts and you feel at home right from the first minute you arrive at their beautiful place. We had the apartment right above the pool with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains, which was especially wonderful on a rainy day - much better than watching television :) Since there are no other restaurants nearby (Corte is a 30-40 minutes drive... or 20 minutes if you are a local) we decided to dine at their own restaurant and we weren't disappointed at all: Martine is an amazing cook and everything tasted fresh and lovely prepared: Lasagna, Fish, Soup, Entre Cote, and many Deserts. And good Wine! Yes, you pay a bit more than in other places on the Island (which in genereal is more expensive than on the mainland) but it is worth every penny in our opinion. And since we were there in October we didn't want to drive all the way from Corte after dark. Having meals in the rooms is NOT allowed, so keep that in mind when you choose Casa Lucia and you dont want to spend the money for their good food. We knew it in advance (from other Reviewers) and so for us it was no problem. The place was not crowded at all due to postseason, only a few couples stayed there and it was nice to meet them in the Restaurant for dinner as well as for breakfast. They have a young and cute Dog named Nara, which is very well educated and sometimes plays near the pool. Even though the pool was already "closed" and not heated any more it was no problem for Jean-Charles that we went for a swim to cool down ;) The room was absolutely clean, bed was comfortable, so nothing to complain about at all. Special thanks for the small snacks delvered by Martine to us while it was raining like crazy and we stayed in our room. All the best from Germany, Isabel & Peter
Cons: All good :) Nothing to complain about.
Pros: The hosts were incredible, the view stunning, the hotel delightful. Recommended to all
Pros: Everything... it’s beautiful secluded on top of a mountain.. the view is “unreal” the pool “quaint” and the atmosphere PEACEFUL... look up at the sky at night and ..... you realize how many stars there are .. it’s SOOOO CLEAR
Cons: no provisions store anywhere close by ... but it dint matter
Pros: The view is amazing!! Martine is lovely. Dinner was fabulous!
Pros: Fantastic location if you're looking to get away from the crowds! The hotel is surrounded by winding roads and picturesque hillside villages. It offers incredible views from the balconies as well as from the pool area and restaurant. The homemade meals at dinner were wonderful and the hospitality was top notch! The air conditioning worked mostly well (except for a weather-related outage) and wifi was strong. Access to hiking and walking trails can be found near the hotel and driving around that area is also nice. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: A sign in the room threatened a 15 Euro fine PER MEAL for eating in the room. This is a terrible policy and needs to be changed. When someone pays for a hotel room, they should be able to eat there if they want to!
Pros: Spectacular views. Beautifully home cooked food. Really nice and helpful hosts.
Cons: Struggled to think of anything but WiFi was a bit slow but what would you expect when up in the mountains!
Pros: You would never expect such a super luxurious ( 5 star in my eye )private appartement in such a small mountain village. The Hostess was like a professional hotel manager and a star cook! The guest rooms are with professional modern design, super luxurious, comfort and clean. The WIFI connection was the best we have had since we were one month travel in Corsica. The dinning room and the dinner were so perfect and fantastic! And it was not expensive! The garden and pool areal was beautiful. We had a great stay. Thank you!
Pros: Amazing hosts who combine an ideal balance of availability and discretion. Everything about the hotel has been designed, created and maintained to the highest aesthetic and physical standards in a location of pristine beauty.

Pros: there is a dryer in the room. Great view of the valley. Food is good and economical with fix menu.
Cons: Wifi was not working properly from the room. You have to lock your bicycle outside (not that there is a risk but good to know) no shops nearby
Pros: Good, clean hotel with friendly staff. Extra large shower was much enjoyed. Good, simple meal in the restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast a little limited.
Pros: Very nice dinner with good vegetarian option, good breakfast. Breathtaking view from room window and breakfast terrace.
Cons: Limited English of staff
Pros: The spectacular view And they made up casse croute for us for our next days walking
Cons: Dinner was good but quite simple
