there was a bottle opener in the bathroom attached to the sink.. that's.. something everything else. it looked like someone had attempted to murder my neighbor, as there were scratches all around the doorknob.. which was a bit less than desirable...
I booked a room for father's day weekend and somebody from the hotel calls me and tells me that I did not show up for the hotel room. I told her that my reservations were not until June. she said to call hotels.com. I did but they would only refund half the stay.
Granted it was a place to sleep after a long drive. Room service finally came in on the last day to clean. Had to ask far too many times for clean towels. The laundry facility is a joke, it took forever to wash and dry clothes. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone and am currently booking with another hotel on a return visit to Bloomington.
i stayed here for my job. i was dropped off by a cab and had no car. otherwise i would have gone somewhere else. the room had stains on the wall and carpet and spill marks on the table and nightstand. one of the wall outlets was not secure and would easily pull away from the surface of the wall (shock hazard) i woke up to find bedbugs crawling on one of the pillows and under the sheets. the staff was actually helpful and proptly got me a clean room for my second night. that was not enough to make up for the disgusting conditions. if i had i choice (which i didn't) i would have left the first night. i will never stay here again.
This is our second time staying at this hotel. We use it when we have an early flight. The staff has always been very nice and the hotel rooms are decent. There are two restaurants right across the road that you can walk to which make it nice - not having to get back in the vehicle and drive again. Also, use this hotel because it accepts pets and our Jack Russell really appreciates being welcomed.
Its a cheap hotel so its not going to be anything fancy. Its your basic run of the mill cheap hotel. The best part was the fridge in the room and the fact that it has a great location.
This place should be shut down. Bed was like a hamik. Shots felt like they were from the 80s. Nothing looks vacuumed.
should I say more. cheap price, cheap hotel
Hotel in need of a renovation! Hotel doors did not lock properly. Hallways smell of smoke...even supposed non-smoking room smelled. Room not as clean as I would have hoped. In general hotel was dark and dingy leaving you with a depressed feeling. I would not stay here again and considering my last 2-stays at a 'Super 8' hotel may completely cross that business off my travel list. Breakfast was OK. The desk clerk was great as her bright personality tried to lighten the dingy surroundings.
I probably would not stay here again. The bed didn't have a fitted bottom sheet so it didn't stay tucked in, the continental breakfast didn't have much variety so I had breakfast on the road the next day, and the staff didn't act like they even cared if you stayed there or not. Not high on my list for another booking.
For being the cheapest room in town, it was not a real trashy hotel. No frills, but a good value.
Two words...BED BUGS! I know that this has become a problem in many places but when I discovered them, the manager didn't even come and take the time to talk to me. So now I have to worry if they will be brought to my home with me in my luggage or anything else. Their staff should be aware of this problem and look out for it and take care it before a customer checks in. As soon I as I found this problem I high tailed it out of there and would never stay there. If you were to book there, I would make sure that they have taken care of this problem before booking.
