Pros: The setting and the village of Adere

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Chaos in bar and reception area, due to wedding receptions
7.9 Good
Pros: This is an old style hotel with creaky stairs and no elevators. Since the building is of complex layout, not all of the rooms provide views, my room did not have any view at all. However, in general rooms and amenities and service are OK. Spacious Spa area, vast green territory, own plant growing farm add charm to the hotel.
Cons: Creaky stairs and no elevators. Since the building is of complex layout, not all of the rooms provide views, my room did not have any view at all.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was lovely. Really enjoyed the Pet Farm and animals. The only difficult we had was the shower in the room. Not really easy to turn it on - would be helpful to have some simple instructions posted somewhere in the room.
Cons: The hotel helped us get a taxi into Adare town for dinner but the driver charged us 12 EURO. Our mistake in not asking the concierge what should have been a recommended price. Seemed high for a couple of miles. We had major difficulty in getting a taxi back to the hotel. And to be honest this would prohibit us from staying at the hotel in the future. I would recommend the hotel provide a car service to and from Adare.
7.5 Good
Pros: Size of room was great and we had a couch. Main areas in hotel were lovely. Staff were naturally pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Not enough sockets in bedroom. We had to move a heavy table to be able to plug in. No sockets near the bed. Very poor selection of channels on tv. No water in the room. Room very stark.
7.5 Good
Cons: The food frozen veg roast potato rock hard

Cons: Dinner plates couldn't fit in microwave.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: I hadn’t realized it was on college grounds, which the site does say, so that was on me. However I never would have thought they were college dorms. Horribly dirty. We were put into a handicapped room as well. So the sink was 2 feet high and the size of a bowl. We were supposed to stay two nights. We left the following morning and only stayed because it was 9 pm. It smelled and was disgusting. There was mold and hair in shower. If I was a student maybe could bear it. But in our forties I’m no longer wanting to live like a college student.

Pros: Lovely people, great welcome. Rooms was as described, great en suite facilities and the breakfast was a feast in itself. Evening meals aren't provided but there's cracking restaurant/pub right next door which offers great value meals and a great service. Just off the main Limerick - Cork road but you'd think you were out in the middle of the countryside - ideal for a great night sleep.

Pros: Maura was an exceptional host, very welcoming & friendly. I had a welcome cup of tea on arrival, a comfortable sleep & a wonderful breakfast.
Cons: There really wasn't much to not like. For a female if you had long hair & showered it may have taken time to wash product out as the water pressure wasn't the best but it was a lovely hot shower.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: Bartenders were amazing! Front staff was great too, but we were disappointed that they didnt at least offer us a free dessert/breakfast/something when the air in our second room broke during one of the hotter days that they have had. Made sleeping pretty difficult. They did bring us a fan, but that just circulated warm stuffy air.
Cons: While the service, staff and hotel cleanliness were all first rate, little things like a clogged shower (we had to take military showers to avoid an overflow), running toilet and broken a/c unit in one of our two rooms prevent us from giving them 5 stars.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had to stay in the hotel as we needed to be near the maternity hospital across the road and the staff were Great, I lost my key and another one was given, we got an extra hour in the room also to sort ourselves out! The staff were brilliant!
Cons: Bingo loco was on downstairs and it was extremely loud in the room, and someone had gotten sick in the lift! Pretty bad smell, still there the following morning! also having to pay for the car park was enough especially with the cost of the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Love the hotel nice and central
Cons: I think the parking and breakfast should be included in the price of the hotel
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice big room, great view. Lovely shower and bath. Very central location.
Cons: Fridge unplugged, dirt behind it. Paid parking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Softer pillows. Sound proofed rooms/ quieter door closing etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, great atmosphere. The staff are excellent, personable and professional particularly in the bar and restaurant.
Cons: We had food and drinks in the bar on Saturday afternoon and were quite comfortable and enjoying the chat when we were asked to vacate the table for another function. This was disappointing as we would quite happily have stayed for the remainder of the night. We left to go elsewhere. The room was almost €300 for 2 nights. Breakfast should be included at that rate.

Pros: This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our stay in Ireland. The location is wonderful. Literally on the river and a few hundred metres into the city centre. Our room was superb, - large, beautifully appointed, and with views over the river and city. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious.
Cons: Nothing, although complimentary parking in the car park below would have been nice.

Pros: The large suite we stayed in for very reasonable cost on the 6th floor had a lovely view of the Shannon. The room had everything you'd need and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was heavenly and catered nicely for vegans.
Cons: There's nothing not to like. It has a luxury feel without feeling corporate.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good size rooms, the little finishing touches to the room were lovely. All staff were so welcoming and helpful couldn’t do enough for you. Dinner in the library is great.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit of a let down thought that there would of been more of a selection in hot food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing, really comfy and spotless clean, had great facilities , had all we needed. The breakfast was fantastic. A great selection for continental breakfast then you can order from the hot menu. Both mornings the breakfast was really tasty, really enjoyed it. We had dinner and drinks in the Bar on the Sunday night and that was also excellent. All the service was 100%, all staff were very helpful and friendly.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Good food in Hamptons restaurant.
Cons: 1. The hotel didn't honour my special request for rooms on a low floor and side-by-side. I was travelling with my elderly mother and she ended up on the 4th floor and I was on the 5th floor. I booked these rooms over three weeks before my stay and got an email saying my request was confirmed. 2. I was woken up at 2.40 am by very noisy guests next door. My room (510) had a connecting door to their room. They may as well have been in with me as I could hear every word and laugh from them. Eventually I heard some of them saying good night and they left the room at 4.30 am. I then had to listen to a female guest humming in her bathroom for another few minutes before silence descended two hours later. It was a nightmare and I got no sleep!!!!! 3. The hotel is in a seedy area. Twice I was approached by characters passing by looking for money or cigarettes. In the smoking area in front of the bar a woman entered with a buggy at 11 pm and harassed me for money. 4. The rooms overlook a multi-storey car park which is a very unattractive setting for a supposedly 5 star hotel. Better 5 star choices are available in Limerick. I'm only sorry I didn't do more research before booking The Savoy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel with the most amazing staff . Couldnt rate this hotel highly enough . We will be back.

Pros: From the minute i entered the hotel i was treated behond expectation. So friendly and the food is top notch....definitely be back.
6.7 Good
Pros: It wasn't difficult to find, and provided adequate accommodation on the way to the ferry in Cork.
Cons: Staff a bit abrupt. No soap in our bathroom and when my husband went down to say so, and ask for some, he was met with a very stony faced "Oh right, I'll send someone up with some." We would expect a "sorry" or an explanation. When someone did come to our door with 2 small tablets of soap they literally just handed them to him - no "Here you are / Sorry for the inconvenience..." or anything. If hotels don't provide tablets of soap in the rooms they should have soap dispensers on the wall in the bathroom. Restaurant closed too early. We arrived at 20.40 and were told we were too late for dinner. We had had a very long drive down from Donegal and it would have been nice to have a wash (with soap) and have a bite to eat. In the end we had tea and biscuits in our room (we had a packet of Ginger Nuts with us), had showers and went to our very lumpy beds. I didn't sleep well and the cheap pillow gave me a headache.

Pros: What made it was the staffs willingness to accommodate all of our needs. Thank you Margaret.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the beautiful historic house, the food & wine and the owner Nichole was quite lovely.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A unique property--beautiful manor house situated on soothing grounds; a former horse stud. Our stay here was quiet and relaxing, which is just what we were after. The town of Kilmallock is not a tourist destination; other areas in the region are worth visiting, but the appeal here is the property itself. The house is beautifully furnished and well-kept. Good breakfast--Nicole made great pancakes at our request!
