big room, big bathroom, all new furniture, cleanliness
Good wi fi connection
We enjoyed the peacefulness of the hotel, the lovely breakfasts and the helpfulness of the staff. The room was very clean and had a pleasant view of the gardens. Good literature provided for excursions. Too far from the town to walk and not really in a location convenient for country walks. Still a good base for exploring the area.
swimming pool and grounds lack of tea making facilities
It was clean, functional and good value for money. We are used to having tea/coffee facilities in our room; these were not available.
Clean comfortable and simple. It is in the process of being refurbished nicely floor by floor in a simple modern manner. Breakfast was in the Bar or on the outside tables with local french customers which was very nice. The street noise was not too bad at all, just occasional big trucks but no worse than the other more expensive hotels we stayed in in the area.
The experience of typical France. Unfortunately the petit dejerney was not good value! Will take breakfast somewhere else next time
room was clean and staff helpful bathroom was quite small
Room was clean and airy with a nice sized ensuite. Staff were very friendly Not really perhaps we could have been offered more coffee at breakfast. only one cup each.
Breakfasts were very good and staff tried to be helpful. Poor lighting and decoration in staircase, on 1st floor landing a table lamp was balanced on a chair to provide a light, other lights appeared to be a temp measure with wires showing. Fire safety arrangements poor- little emergency lighting and no fire doors to seperate staircase from bedroom corridors. Did not see a fire alarm bell or call points. Appeared to be no staff on duty at night. Shower bracket broken in bathroom, carpet looked gruby, bedroom quite small.
A warn welcome was received. We stayed in a very nice room for 2 nights only and took breakfast at an extra cost. Very good location. Very pleasant staff.
Being 'owner-run' and family business it was friendly and simple. Probably maintains its price by vicinity nearness access to large popular Saumur and three Saumur Wine Houses. ('champagne'), Very near to road-crossings, hence double-glazed vitrage- windows would help.
Comfortable basic rooms with on-site off-road parking, continantal breakfast plus cereals in the hotel bar.
Decent for price. Outside city center but near wineries and equestrian center. Rarely saw hotel staff, and no one around to ask for supplies, although they emailed in advance. With window open, traffic was annoying at night.
Very welcoming of cyclists
Clean, comfortable and value for money. Service and food in the restaurant were a delight
The quality of the bedrooms and public spaces was excellent; friendly, helpful staff; very good breakfast.
Restauarant was superb None
The chef employed by Le Dagobert must be world class, The food was beautifully presented and of superb quality - Excellent! Nothing of note
The friendliness of the staff especially la Madame of the Hotel who made us so welcome and could not have done anymore to make our stay such a pleasure. The chef who provided us with delicious and attractive meals. First class we intend to go back.
