Cons: Breakfast quite limited
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The girl at the reception. The clean room, comfortable bed, patio with long chair.
Cons: The neighbours lawn mower between 2.30 and 6pm. It was really annoying. I suggest having summer duvets available for hot weather instead of the fluffy cold weather ones.

Cons: no air condition no fridge small room weak wifi too expensive Bad smell pervades the area
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Just a nice warm cosy place to stay with super easy access to everywhere
Cons: If I have to be super super picky.. the towels were a little broken around the edges... But it didn't really bother me, just a fussy thought.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with modern bathroom, nice staff, walking distance to the centre of Bad Ragas and to Tamina Therme, good breakfast. Really recommended for a weekend (we've been there in winter, but surely it is very nice also in spring/summer).
Cons: Nothing to be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cute little hotel - Very typical of the Swiss hospitality. It was great that our 14 year old daughter could have a single room just next to ours. It’s close to the train station and the main part of the town. Great breakfast with lots of choices for such a small hotel. It felt like being in someone’s home, which was very nice. The view from our bedroom to the mountains and chalets made the experience even more special.
Cons: The soft pillows. I couldn’t sleep because of them. It’s very typical of any accommodation in Switzerland but overseas guests are not used to them.

7.5 Good
Pros: Impeccably clean, pool facilities, majority of the staff is extremely well-trained.
Cons: We spend as much as four hours in the pool. We get very hungry and we are not allowed to take food to eat in the Cafe Therme. We have to buy it. Their food choices are extremely limited and very, very expensive. We have gone there for years and finally found something we liked. We loved the mushroom soup so much, we bought a lot extra -a large and a medium- to have the next day. They told us they would warm it for us. One of their staff put two cardboard containers of soup into their warming oven and burned everything up. They gave us ghoulash as they did not have any more mushroom soup. It was horrible and nothing we liked nor wanted. They would not give us our money back for $TWENTY DOLLARS we paid for the soup. Their explanation was, “We offered ghoulish to you. We cannot give you a refund.” They treated us poorly for their mistake. We had no lunch due to their poor limited expensive menu.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: I couldn’t have late check out
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the loft spa suite, stunning views of the valley and mountains. Loved the in-room steam room and large bath amongst the many luxurious features in the room. The spa in the hotel is one of the best I have been to, beautifully designed sauna, steam rooms with a great waterfall to stand under and forget about the outside world. The staff were exceptional, extremely knowledgeable about the hotel, its services and the local area. We spent the best part of a day in the adjoining thermal baths and saunas, I could have stayed longer. Thanks to all the staff that made it a magical weekend. I will come back here soon.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Understand that you can only drive (or get the bus) as far as the cable car station at the bottom of the mountain. You must then park (for free) and carry your bags onto the (free) cable car and ride up - in summer as well as in winter. (I believe you can pay CHF15 for them to fetch bags from the bottom in a 4WD "taxi" - but we did not try this.) The cable car (little gondolas) just add to the excitement. It was great fun. Don't let the cable car put you off, just pack accordingly. When you arrive at the hotel, you will see that it certainly deserves its 3 star classification. This is not a mountaineering "hut" by any means but a very posh hotel. Loved the food too. Approx CHF 50.- per person per evening meal. Breakfast was included in the room rate. Lots of summer hiking paths straight from the door.
Cons: Thick down quilts are the norm in all Swiss hotels, even in summer - but I then wake up hot.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Maybe u should be ready for such high raise panorama view .
Cons: Google map took me all the way to top with very dangerous road when i reach there i found that cable care can serve this hotel . I recommend the hotel to write enough instruction about the location . Obvesouly being away from town at this hight , you cant afford unless to eat from hotel restaurant which is very expensive !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was breathtaking and the staff were very welcoming. It is one of the most memorable places I have ever stayed in and I would highly recommend it
Cons: Nothing - everything was fabulous
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Mr Rheto (Flury) provided great service and the kitchen was excellent. It was a little difficult to get to but I enjoyed being very well treated by the hosts. I felt like I was a King visiting as I was treated as the only person in the hotel. I would recommend Mr. Flury's facilities!
Cons: You could not drive up to the facility but the Seilbahn was really cool and a farmer stopped me to help me figure it out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and overall experience

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and view. Vivianne is a great host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best part of this beautiful, peaceful location in a 500-year old restored building was the proprietor, Dr. Viviane Girardier. She could not have been more helpful before and during the trip, right up to the end. She is warm and friendly and always attempting to please her clients. Her personal concern, service, and assistance really made our 4 days there enjoyable to the max. And the awesome mountains and rivers, cable cars and windy roads didn't hurt to make this a place I would return to in a heartbeat. It's not a 5-star hotel in a classic, fancy sense, but it sure is in terms of a get-away vacation paradise. In the surrounding area, there is more quaintness, beauty, history, and even geology. You'd have to stay for months to see it all!
Cons: Nothing!! We liked everything. Everything about this out-of-the-way, but perfectly hospitable place was wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A small cozy hotel with very nice staff. Magnificent view of the mountains. The rooms are clean and have all necessary items. There is free parking and Wi-Fi. Pros: Breakfast was sufficient. Could have been a little more, but we did show up at 8.30am which was a bit late.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic views, very helpful, friendly staff, spa pass a great bonus
Cons: The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we had to drive out for food as the walk would be too far
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, with an incredible view. The highlight was the staff of the hotel, incredibly nice and always willing to help. The facilities are very nice and the fact that the entrance to the Spa was included was a great bonus.
Cons: There were a few insects in the room. Not sure if it was because we were in the middle of a heat wave. The restaurant was overly expensive in relation with the quality and quantity of the food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing. It was located above BAD RAGAZ from a beautiful winding road through the forest. It was perched over looking the entire valley and city below. The hiking trails behind it led to the remains of the 13th century castle and a 12 century church. The innkeeper could not have been more helpful in suggesting restaurants and activities.
Cons: I did not realize that the restaurant was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. But you wasn’t of consequence because I had brought food from the market. The continental breakfast was impressive and delicious.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Every thing
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic, with amazing views over the mountains! It was cleaned every day which is great. Also, the receptionist was very helpful, shared a city map with possible restaurants (because the hotel restaurant is only open from Wesnesdays till Sundays).
Cons: The breakfast buffet was a bit poor compared to the hotel level. From warm dishes they only serve eggs, although the bread is fresh every morning which is nice.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice hotel but tired and in need of a good revamp
Cons: No staff available
Hotel Cristal Flumserberg - Flums - Bedroom
9

Guests can relax in the on-site sauna and steam bath. Free WiFi is available. Each room comes with a private bathroom with a shower. The modern décor features light, wooden furniture. During the winter season you can enjoy raclette and cheese fondue in the Chäs-Stübli restaurant. The Alpine-style Arvenstübli has a lounge and an open fireplace. A playroom for children is also available. Guests at Hotel Cristal Flumserberg receive a 10% discount on ski passes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked helpful and very friendly staff. The aroma and Finnish sauna was very cosy. Breakfast was fantastic. The location, hikes and floomzer were great.
Cons: Ventilation in the room could be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, you can ski straight up to the hotel if you know the right route. It's well worth booking raclette at the Chäs Stube at the hotel if you looking for somewhere to eat in the evening. The free welcome drink is also a lovely touch.
Cons: As we spent the day skiing on the day of check-out it would have been useful for somewhere secure to store our luggage for the day. The staff were very kind in allowing us to stow our luggage in the fitness room, but it didn't feel especially secure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We wanted visit a place in Switzerland where we had not been before, and chose Flumserberg because it is in a beautiful location that is easily accessible by train followed by cablecar from Interterzen or by bus from Flums. Hotel Cristal is a 2-minute walk from both the cablecar station and the bus stop, and is a very nice place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, and an excellent breakfast is available each morning. The hotel is close to the ski trails, which double as miles of beautiful walking trails in the summer. We would certainly visit there again. Flumserberg is obviously a busy ski resort in the winter. It is considerably less busy in the summer, which is mostly good news. However some of the local restaurants, including the one at Hotel Cristal, that are open for full meals in the winter are open only for drinks and snacks in the summer. If you do not have a car, this may necessitate taking the bus down the mountain to one of several restaurants on the bus route [see also Spiezrestaurant Sternen in Flums]. The last bus back up the mountain is at around 9:00 pm. Additionally, while we were there most of the visitors to Flumserberg were local, more or less. Nearly everyone spoke at least a little English, but in order to be accepted as a “temporary local” it will be helpful to know at least a few useful phrases of German.
Cons: No dislikes, but some useful visitor information is included in the likes section.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very very friendly and dinner (half board) was very good, with the schnitzel being schockingly great! Has a billiards and table foosball room right outside the Chas Stubli downstairs. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the Chas stubli as only there one night... but the ambience inside there was nice looking and bartender was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excelllent hotel, great staff, we will be back
4.3 Okay
Cons: The hotel was not worth the money, the sauna which was meant to be open, closed at 5pm instead of 7pm, we booked this hotel just for the Spa and we couldnt use it, there was meant to be a fondue restaurant but it was closed. Very disappointed!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredible. Marvin especially gave excellent advice and he lent me his own brand new ski poles, right out of their packaging.
Cons: The spa was closed after our day of hiking and there were no staff around to ask.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is promptly on the road into Weisstannen. It has a nice atmosphere and a couple of clerks who spoke English. The room was super nice and clean and the food was quite good with a lovely breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Having use of the entire house, including the kitchen. Great breakfast and nice touch having 'supplies' in the bathroom.
Cons: I didnt realise I had to collect the keys from elsewhere, not speaking the local languange I found the process difficult. The room was a little over cluttered with decor, no space or surfaces on which to place own belongings.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very nice show view New or renovated building
Cons: Got a bump in the head as 2 doors are very low
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Newly renovated bathrooms with excellent facilities. The bedroom itself was adequately spacious and the bed was comfortable. The view (and sound) of the river was a nice bonus. Excellent food (try the cordon bleu). Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Cons: No major improvement areas. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Weisstannen.

Cons: Everything was awesome, the room were missing th cattle for hot water and no iron as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff. We asked the hotel ceo if we could borrow a set of cheese fondue to use for a picknick in the Gonzen mine in Sargans. Without hesitation he borrowed us everything we needed, including cooking gear, plates, etc...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very pleased with the hotel. This is Switzerland, so we expected it to be perfectly clean and we were not disappointed. For us, the location was exactly what we wanted - close to the train station, close to the motorway and on the Via Alpina walking route. The downside is that there is a fairly busy road beside the hotel - our room was quiet, however the window was closed. There were a number of unexpected 'plus points', including: - We were allowed to use their parking for the full day of arrival and day of departure. The parking area looked limited, so definitely worth reserving a place when you book. They blocked a space with a cone with our name on to ensure we had a place. - We were each given a voucher for a free welcome drink. - There was a bottle of water and small chocolates waiting for us in our room. - There was a portable electric fan in our room. We did not need it, but could be very useful in summer. - The bathroom had a 'shower over bath' - perfect for us, although it means stepping over the bath side to get in, which could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. Bed comfort is subjective. I would rate ours as medium/soft, which is what I would choose. We both slept well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Switzerland, with a very wide choice on offer. It is available from 06:30, which may not be everyone's idea of a holiday but, again, perfect for us. The hotel does have a 'smoking bar', however it is well away from the non-smoking areas and we did not smell any smoke. We had our evening meal in the restaurant - a very wide choice on the menu and enjoyable food.
Cons: We were very pleased with the overall experience. The only minor negative - and it was minor - was the check-in. It was fast and efficient, but it would be difficult to describe it as friendly or welcoming. Still, we all have bad days and the rest of the staff were very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good and the location was good.
Cons: The cleaners leaving the room door wide open, when we come back 3'oclock in the afternoon on Saturday the 13th of April. When they finished the whole floor, how can you forget to close the door.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel itself
Cons: None
8.3 Excellent
Cons: I wish breakfast had had more fruit options.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great varieties for breakfast. Spacious room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything especially the staff. Location and breakfast. The delicious food at the hotel restaurant and the free parking.
Cons: The elevator to the rooms is not at the reception floor, no kettle for tea and coffee and no refrigerator but it was not problem.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: - service was friendly - boot warmers for our ski boots --- soooo nice - nice and soft sheets and duvet covers - no TV in the room which was great because we could enjoy the time with the children without them asking to watch the TV - we loved the fluffy pillows
Cons: the crisp towels, - I prefer my towels soft and fluffy - that's just a personal choice , it did not bother my husband or the kids
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location fabulous great views
Cons: Rooms are very simple and could do with updating, luke warm water for showers
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and scenery. Simple rooms but clean and comfy. Good restaurant and breakfast.
Cons: Reception lady not nice or very willing to serve costumers... Fortunately, the gentleman in the kitchen and breakfast is the absolute opposite, nice and proud of providing the best.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, great value and friendly staff
Cons: One shared bathroom which was upstairs
7.5 Good
Pros: I really appreciate the smiles and service provided by the owner who is also the chef and cooks good food for the guests. The view of the mountains from our room was fantastic. I could catch the sunrise and sunset from my room.
Cons: I guess the service of one or two of the waitresses who serve us...but the owner's smiles kind of make up for it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and shared bathroom were very clean. I liked the Swiss style of the house (lots of wood). We had "Wild" (Gams) for dinner. It was delicious. I liked the atmosphere. Lots of people from the village, really in the Swiss mountains. If you need luxurey, you have to go somewhere else, if you like a really nice homestay, you go there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location half way on top of the mountain, located in a really nice and peaceful village. From room window you can see the mountains opposite and from the restaurant you can see the valley down. Definitely one of the best value for money.
Cons: Owners dont speak English very well and room a bit small. But again it\s very cozy so not really anything to complain

Pros: Dear, nice lady owner. An authentic village and nice people. Very comfortable beds. Peace.
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable
Cons: Breakfast choice ok but nothing spectacular
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a very friendly and accomodating family run hotel and restaurant. It is well kept in classic traditional cosy style (nice change from new design hysteria). The food is also excellent (with the expected price tag ;-))..) If you want a stay IN the mountains, this is it. The local bus (Postauto) takes you wherever (almost) you want to go for your day activity. The scenic 45 min bus ride to Bad Ragaz costs about 5 CHF .......
Cons: IF you expect lots to do locally in the evenings - this is not it.... (except if there is an event on)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great room, nice touch to happy hour.
Cons: All was good.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Nice bed and pillow
Cons: We had two similar rooms which was very different in comfort! One was old and not nice, couldn't open the windows.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful venue and kind reception staff who made sure we are fully informed about all the nice offers around us. Easy parking options and we were allowed to use the pool after checkout. Very welcoming! Will go back
Cons: There was one old German waiter who had the potential to spoil it all. In strong contrast to all other staff who really were absolutely lovely, that one gave everybody a hart time. Reflecting on it I believe his aim was/is to get fired. It was absolutely gross. He did not had the overview who wants to order and reacted super ignorant and disturbed when one was addressing him with (EXCUSE ME) to get his attention. We managed to order our 3rd glass of wine for the desert and asked after we finished the cheese about 20-30 min later if we still could have it. Enjoyed reaction without excuse. Next day at the breakfast again the same guy with the same attitude. I noticed at the neighboring tables started to make fun of him which made made it so much better for me as this allowed me not to take this behavior personally. It was really insultingly....(I travel a lot internationally and such experience is absolutely rare...maybe more than 10 years I did not experienced something similar. So, to cut it short, just try not to be in his serving area and you are good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet location overlooking woodlands. Short stroll to swimming pool, main building and the restaurant for breakfast.
Cons: No kettle in rooms - had to ask. Also had to ask for key to the security box/safe in the room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Very nice décor. Breakfast was fare, but could have a few more hot plate selections.
Cons: Very hot with no way to cool down the place. No screens on the windows and no AC. Too many dead bugs in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in a breathtaking alpine location, this gem has lovely spacious bungalows located in pretty gardens with a great outdoor pool. Very peaceful and relaxing and next door to the famous spa.
Cons: Due to extremely hot weather we were pestered by insects at night time, therefore i would advise taking repellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Between golf course and thermal spa and next to a mountain side there is a castle and annex rooms with a beautiful garden with trees at least a couple of hundred years old. I’ve never seen a cherry tree grow so big! Many beautiful plants and trees (some even having name signs for help). Lots of squirrels and birds. Was lovely to wake up to a loud bird song. Pool was big and clean and was a welcome refresher in the heatwave. Breakfast was sufficient. Room was bright and clean. Staff in the reception was very helpful and friendly. Town center is only 10 minute walk away. Very lovely!

Pros: The bed was really nice, especially the mattress and the check in and check out really innovative
Cons: Maybe the price is a little bit to high
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Ibis style without staff. Clean rooms.
Cons: Breakfast could have a bit more choices. Agree with one other review, which mentioned the bathroom door. It should be frosted glass. Even you are there with your partner, there should be a bit room for privacy in some areas.

Pros: Simple but convenient and decently priced countryside hotel, including pleasant restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, peaceful location right below ruins of the castle which is 24/7 open. Equipment and building are a bit older with some "scars" but for this price in Switzerland you can not expect Hilton. Very tasty breakfest.

Cons: It was hot .the stairs were high the back view was not good far from activities.the hotel is very far from markets or shops the smell of the horses are bad

Pros: Beautiful location with a Burg ruin in rear and fantastic mountain scenery viewing.
Cons: Wifi is major problem on the upper floor of rooms but great in the main ground floor, breakfast is ok but simple provider of very small bread, also no tv on a single bedroom showed the frustration of no wifi working in the room means a (secluded room)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: nice location for motorbikers on way from black forest to alps. Food in the evening was quite expensive, a beer was over 5euros for half pint and my mate was charged an extra 1.50 on top as wanted half lemonade. Evening meals about 25euros main course. breakfast was a bit basic but ok as long as happy with bread meat cheese and coffee . not a lot to do in the evening , although nice walk along the river to Flums about 1 mile away.
Cons: breakfast could be better
8.8 Excellent

Hotel Krone - Bad Ragaz - Building

8.4 Excellent (222 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here during a weekend break skiing at Pizol and going to the thermal baths. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. They have put so much care and attention into the facilities - it makes you wonder how other hotels spend a lot more money but get it so wrong. Standard continental breakfast with cold meats and cheeses, but the food quality is good. Very quiet, but I think February is not high season in Bad Ragaz.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel position...middle of town...the whole town was filled with sculptures.
Cons: Tiny room and no bathroom. So a bit pricey
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms. Nothing fancy but good value Great location in the middle of the village
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty hotel, the exterior and the rooms, well located in the heart of this town. Comfortable, quiet, with charm but modern amenities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: central and parking was not an issue, the breakfast was inline with what I expected.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, super central but still quiet. Nice clean basic rooms. Breakfast also ok.
Cons: The reception is open from 4 to 6pm only and I have not been informed about. Another guest from the hotel let me in. Out of this time you have to call them and you will receive a code to open. I think the restaurante in the hotel closed. There is a strong smell of cigarette in the entire building, unfortunately in the room as well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient. Great for an overnight stay. Good value for money.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy hotel located in the center of Bad Ragaz. It felt homely and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the coffee good.
Cons: The bathroom was quite small.
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice centric location. Lovely building. Very good breaksast with fresh bakery.
Cons: Our room was facing very noisy road and it was disturbing during nights. Wifi is a disaster. It was more time off, than on. We could not even book train tikets on- line due to signal problems.
5.5 Okay
Pros: good friendly service and breakfast and room arrangements as well as an ideal situation to go places
Cons: dirty blankets and small bathroom
