Casa Rural Goiena - Mungia - Building
1
9.5 Excellent (478 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Mungia, Casa Rural Goiena is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and Castle of Butron. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is on a hill with wonderful views of the mountains, green fields and trees, in short, absolutely beautiful countryside. The breakfast was very good buffet continental style, loved the orange juice! The owners very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Just a heads up for guests, there is a steep drive to the property and poor visibility which takes a bit of getting used to. The local restaurants weren't good and one was closed for the month, so we had to go further afield. Restaurants tend to open at 12 noon and close by 4pm then re-open at 8pm which caught us out at first because we are lucky to have many restaurants that open all day where we live. Most of the bars and restaurants only serve Pintxos (tapas). Do some research before you go.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. the owner is super-sweet and prepared for us a delicious breakfast, including fresh OJ from their orange tree. we found this a good location for visiting Gaztelugatxe, about 11km away. we had a very good sleep, only faint sounds of occasional traffic and distant dogs let us know there was still a world outside. the view out the window was lovely, especially in the misty morning. it did take us 2 tries to find, turns out the small road is not far at all from the roundabout (~100m), the 2nd sign points exactly to the road. keep going up the hill, a 3rd sign points the way.
Cons: nothing! esta perfecto.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked the room with a terrace: HUGE outdoor terrace w/great view of valley. Nice breakfast. Host recommended nice resto a few minutes drive away.
Cons: Need to have accurate GPS location for entry off road. Small sign for Goiena and need to continue uphill along narrow road for a few minutes to see another sign, then continue up to narrow drive to small parking area next to casa. Careful if driving car for small parking area. Suggest arriving in daylight to help to follow few signs off main road. Or if can enter exact GPS coords of casa location: some vehicle GPS systems don't allow entry of GPS coords--only name or address, if in systems.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous, friendly and welcoming hosts.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The house is nicely located with beautiful view of the mountines. The hostess is also very nice and helpful though she dosen't speak English. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Everything was perfect and the only thing missing would be small fridge in the room, as house is remotely located with not many options to eat or shops nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lovely welcome and genuine kindness of the owner. The quiet location. The comfort of our room and the beautiful view from our terrace. The on-site parking which is out of sight from anyone who is not staying at the property.
Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao - Bilbao - Building
2
9.3 Excellent (4,590 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao is in the heart of Bilbao, within a 5-minute walk of Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredible and location couldn't be beat. Parking was only €5 per day. Great restaurants with super views of Guggenheim.
Cons: Air conditioning in our room didn't work. Refrigerator was broken and there were moldy things inside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After sustaining an injury staff were universally excellent and kind, organising ambulance, lending us wheelchair and contacting airport to arrange help for me. Food was also very good and competitively priced.
6.0 Good
Pros: Since the star of any trip to Bilbao is likely the Guggenheim, the location here cannot be beat. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, and the view from the breakfast terrace is amazing.
Cons: While the breakfast does offer gluten-free options, they have not trained the serving staff on what that means. In our case this meant that - despite ordering GF bread - we were given regular bread and not told about it until we were almost done. Cool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location across from the Guggenheim (10 minute walk from the City Centers, Bilbao is small). This is arguably a 5 star facility charging much lower than comparable places anywhere else. Valet parking service, but remember to go to the alley behind the hotel, where there is an entrance that is much better for dropping off the car, and to unload your luggage. Excellent Gym with very new equipment. Lovely Bar with skilled bartenders.
Cons: The lighting system in the room was a little problematic...... Either the Master was "on" for any lights to work (if Master was "off", could not turn on bathroom lights to shower, while keeping the room lights off so my wife could keep sleeping)....
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern rooms, good location, nice staff.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom architecture was unique and romantic. The reception staff was incredibly helpful.
Cons: Seemed that the thermostat was not altering the climate at all. We had to keep our window open. Also hair conditioner would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was fantastic. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Facilities are fantastic, location is perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A treat for weary travelers, this hotel was a bit of respite from the cadence of sightseeing. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. Service was professional and efficient. The details of this luxury hotel were the icing on the cake - turn down service, aromatherapy sleep spray, complimentary robe and slippers. Proximity to the Guggenheim and promenade is unbeatable.
6.3 Good
Pros: I like location. Very nice entrance hall.
Cons: View from my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was sublime — a fitting pair with the Guggenheim across the street. Don’t skip breakfast on the rooftop terrace — likely the best place to see the museum, and the food was standout.
Cons: Bathroom’s a little strange: Great tub, but wet room ahower’s weirdly placed.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Peaceful surroundings, even if we just stayed one night. The owner (Begonia) was extremely friendly and served us a delicious breakfast at a very good price (5€/each).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great property outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Lovely people, casual vibe. Comfy bed and pillows, really quiet, best nights sleep we’ve had in a while. Good breakfast. We were able to use the kitchen and breakfast room to make dinner to eat in the garden after our long day. There is a fridge with drinks on an honesty payment system. You can make tea or coffee at any time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, of course you need a car to get to the property but it is very worthy. Calm, clean with a very nice breakfast. Hope to come back one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm and friendly welcoming English-Spanish speaking Staff. Good simple breakfast for extra cost. Super clean room and bathroom and comfortable bed. Pros: Hotel was within 3 mins walk to Guggenheim Museum. Rooms are spacious and modern, comfortable bed, nice toilet. Free nespresso coffee!
Cons: It's still about 20 mins walk to the old town. Area to drop off bags in front of the hotel is at a bus stop, making it a bit stressful when we were dropping our bags off.

Pros: The staffs was very friendly and kind. The access from the Bilbao airport to the hotel was really convenient. The hotel locates just in front of the bus stop and it is the first bus stop from the airport. Free coffee at the common space was nice. The facility was very new and clean.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: In the perfect location for exploring the Casco Viejo (old town). Pintxos bars right in the street below. Very convenient for the local produce market which we found was the best place to go for breakfast. Good wifi, very helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed. A small late night convenience store on the corner was useful. Fridge in the room. We enjoyed sitting on the tiny balcony people-watching. The tram stop is very convenient for getting around. When arriving you can take the airport bus for 3 Euros (Oct 2019) per person to the Termibus Station and then hop on the tram (Euskotren), alighting at Arriega stop. Get yourself a Barik card for use on the trams, metro and funicular railway. The card costs 3 Euros. Preload it and you will save about 40% on fares.
Cons: We like to sleep with the window open a little for ventilation. Being right in the middle of the old town meant that it could be noisy at night, especially at weekends, and early in the mornings from delivery vans and street cleaners. I should add that with the windows shut, the double glazing was excellent at eliminating the noise. The room had aircon, so I guess we should not really complain as having the window open was our personal choice! Disappointing breakfast, much better available elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place, great location, friendly staff. Couldn’t have been better.
Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location in Old Town
Cons: My room was located opposite the breakfast room and desk. A female staff carried on a lengthy conversation in a loud voice with 2 customers in early morning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and nice. The room was pretty and it was nice to have some welcoming biscuits and chocolate waiting for us when arriving.
Cons: You could easily hear what's going on in other rooms. I suggest you to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfy and had everything you would need. Very cozy!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Located in middle of Old Town and just a few minutes from the Euskotren station. Plenty of restaurants and bars within a minutes walk. WiFi worked, staff very helpful. Up one flight but posed no problem for us. Clean bathroom, nice balcony. Window sound proof which is good as streets noisy on weekends.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, comfortable bed, quiet interior room. Good breakfast for €7 pp extra except for the tiny potions of cheese and ham. Fun bohemian decor in common area. Staff were wonderful.
Cons: Room was quite small and ours was not the cheapest of the options. In fact the rooms were very ordinary and not as luxe as the photos made them seem. Price is very high for an unexceptional pension, perhaps prices in Bilbao are higher than other Spanish cities we visited. I would stay elsewhere next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location was the most important thing. so convenient.

Agroturismo Iabiti-Aurrekoa - Zamudio - Bedroom
7
9.1 Excellent (489 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Zamudio, Agroturismo Iabiti-Aurrekoa is within a 15-minute drive of Santiago Cathedral and Zubizuri Bridge. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable spacious room in a quiet environment.
Cons: The wall lights too glaring, others are too dim.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stepping inside the entrance gives an immediate feeling of warmth and welcome. The 'big house' is a very sympathetic development of a historic farmhouse where the family of one of the owners has lived and farmed for over 300 years. Then you understand why the house has been so lovingly fitted and and developed, and the farm background means that space is so generous. The owners go far beyond the terms of a contract in helping and caring for guests, from exceptionally well-provisioned rooms to the full and enjoyable breakfast. In between there were helpful recommendations to the three cafe/bars nearby. Walking in the dark (with a high visibility jacket is fine because there is a pedestrian footbridge to Agroturismo. The building is set back from the road and very peaceful at night. The owners not only offer free WIFI, but made sure that I had computer access to emails.
Cons: I couldn't think of anything better at this exceptional accommodation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for access to Bilbao centre and ferry terminal.Lovely rural setting great hosts and very relaxing place
Cons: Tricky to find due to restrictions on signage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport and that’s reflected in noise from the planes which stopped at 11pm. Very comfortable room - beds and generous sized room and bathroom. Great shower!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My bed was very comfortable and the food and hotel were terrific. The couple who run it are very nice and extremely helpful with directions and recommendations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this place. It’s absolutely beautiful and has its own personality and amazing views. The room was big and cozy, the bed really confortable to sleep in and I loved all the little details and how clean, tidy and well taken care of everything was. Location is great if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. The staff is very helpful and considerate with all your needs. And they serve really nice breakfast. I had a fabulous stay and will definitely come back if I’m every around.
Cons: Everything was great. The only thing to mention is that walls are really thin so you can sometimes hear other guests as well as all the airplanes on their landing path, but if you use earplugs or are not a light sleeper, there’s nothing to worry about :)

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Next door to the funicular thus very easy to go downtown. Hôtel on the hill overlooking Bilbao
Cons: Thé breakfast waitress way too noisy at 8am, and please leave the news on it is way better than the electro music on the radio!!!!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was very clean, the location to the furnicular was great which made getting to the old town super easy and there were great views of Bilbao.
Cons: I really wanted to like this hotel... We were in room 101 which was an accessible room. Initially I asked if we could move and was shown another room in a seperate block but given my partners height, declined this room as the beams were very low. I really wish we had taken that other room as 101 was incredibly noisy. The room is placed beside the car park, was between reception and the maids room, under/beside the main stairs and beside the entrance door to all other rooms. Whilst the renovation of the building is lovely, there has been no soundproofing put in place and the noise was horrendous. We asked to be moved at about 8.30pm as we knew we wouldn’t sleep but told that because we had ‘used the room already’ they couldn’t move us...We have been lucky to travel quite extensively and have never been told that when there has been a problem with a room... In short, unless you sleep like the dead, You would not get any sleep in rooms 101 or 105 (across the hall) without ear plugs so I would highly avoid these rooms. When I mentioned the level of noise to reception this morning, I was told ‘sorry’and asked to make my payment.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfy, hubby mentioned too so must have been Breakfast good continental choices Staff superb, helpful and informative Pet friendly, dog had his own bed, bowls and complimentary biscuits - totally exceeded our expectations
Cons: Nothing really. Bit of a drive up the hill but the view was spectacular
7.5 Good

Pros: The hotel was very modern, clean and tidy. We booked a room for four people which exceeded our expectations. It had two separate rooms, modern bathroom with walk in shower, large and comfortable lounge area with a bonus of a fully equipped kitchenette.
Cons: There were no evening food available which meant we then had to travel out again after arriving to find something to eat albeit 2/3 miles away.

7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable but didn’t like being on the 1st floor. The room was spacious and good storage space for the clothes. The breakfast was very good but should be included for the price we paid. 22€ per person was excessive even if they make an egg on the spot for you.
Cons: No hand towels, key cards had to be re-loaded and the shower

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and people were nice and helpful in every way.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: In spite of being in the old centre of Bilbao, the location is very quiet with no noise from the streets. The welcome was extremely pleasant and Ms Mercedes has a lot of good advise and tips to offer to recently arrived guests ...
Cons: The Internet WiFi does not reach the rooms far away from the reception desk, ie the signal was sometimes absent and often weak. An amplifier could fix this problem. But this was the only hiccup in an overall very pleasant stay ...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in the city centre and only a few minutes walk from a Metro station. Plenty of bars and cafes close by. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self-service and provided tea coffee, fruit juice, toast, jam and fruit.
Cons: Would have liked a comfortable chair but in reality we were not in the room for much of the time.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They heated the rooms when it got cold, which was nice. Clean. Free coffee and tea.
Cons: The house has thin walls, you can hear your neighbouring guests talk. Bathroom was small and not modern. Vending machine does not give change, if you put 2Euro in, you cannot order two bottles. Machine just takes the second Euro for itself as a tipp.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect; very comfortable bed and clean room; nice to have a basic breakfast in the morning (bread and jam, filter coffee and juice, fruit).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was outstanding, comfy & warm. Hosts while not speaking a lot of English were warm and friendly. Could not fault our stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful modern hotel on the edge of the lively night life of Bilbao. Staff were helpful and very welcoming. Overall a great stay.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: No air conditioning. Temperature in rooms very hot and they are Interior facing - therefore - opening windows had a limited effect. Bar closed until 11:00 am. Although staff were preparing coffee for breakfast, they refused to serve a cup of coffee unless it was served with full breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, very clean, beautiful and comfortable, especially the huge bathroom - with both tub and shower. And the shower was amazing!!! :) Also, the double bed was HUGE!!! Very comfortable and very very wide! The staff was extremely warm and friendly, they talk a lot and explain everything to you, including how to get into the city and any other details you may need. The hotel has an underground parking (extra cost), but also a public parking lot outside, next to the hotel (we could actually see the car from our hotel window). It you leave your car there after 8pm, there is no extra cost until the morning. So basically we benefited from free parking that night. It was great. :) When we arrived, they allowed us to enter the underground parking to comfortably unload our bags/luggage and take them directly to our room using the elevator, even though we did not purchase the access to the underground parking. It was very gallant and polite of them. The location is fairly good. Max. 20-30 min. walk to reach the main attractions of the city. And this wasn't an issue for us. We usually like to stroll around the city by foot. All in all it was a very pleasant stay at a solid 4-start hotel and we highly recommend it!!!!
7.0 Good
Pros: I have mixed rating for staff. The reception staff who checked us in was amazing, very helpful and accommodating. We came in early and our room was not yet ready so we had breakfast at the hotel while waiting. Breakfast room staff was also amazing. She accommodated us even if it was just 10 minutes before breakfast closing and she gave us ample time to have a non-rushed breakfast before closing up. Generally reception staff was helpful, especially in booking taxis. However, the hairdryer in the room was not working. We knew how it worked - as in many hotels a white button has to be continuously pressed to keep it going. But after 30 seconds it would stop and go again after a minute. At 11:00 pm I called the reception requesting for a hairdryer. Immediately, the response was "You have to press the button..." I told him we knew how to operate the hair dryer and he said he had an extra one but his housekeeping was out for the night and I had to wait until the morning. I expressed my disappointment telling him that I did not want to go to bed with wait hair. I do not know what happened but in 30 minutes he knocked on our door and brought the hair dryer. He could have been less offensive in his reply and bit more polite. Oh well, you can't have them all. I would make him an exception.
Cons: The location was a bit outside the old town although a bus stop was just outside the hotel. Seniors are not advised to walk back to the hotel, except for the really fit. It can be quite a climb.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was good as there are a lot of possibilities to use public transports wherever you do need to go, even to the airport. Very friendly staff at reception and bar. Compfy bed and nioce to have free water in the room as well as coffee or tea
Cons: At the bar they should be more flexible for some snacks for people they do not want to use the restaurant. The card sfor snacks is very limited.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The check in was conducted very professionally. The check-in clerk anticipated our questions and had answers ready. Room was spacious and comfortable . Walking time to the Old Town around 10 minutes. Shuttle available also ( but didn‘t use)
Cons: Only minor disturbance in the night when the night porter erroneously called to deal with a neigbor‘s complaint of loud music
7.4 Good
Pros: Facilities as they stand we're terrific. Clean, contemporary. Business luxury.
Cons: Staff– a bit disorganized and not super helpful. Individually, they were polite and kind. But I expected more from a 4* hotel. Looked at me like I had three heads every time I asked for a restaurant number or a taxi. Their answer to everything was giving me a map. LOCATION. This is BARELY in Bilbao in my opinion. The hotel is literally located on the exit ramp leaving the city. It barely fit on the map of center city. If you're going for business, it's perfect. But if you plan on exploring the city, get ready to walk, take trains, take buses, etc. I would highly recommend that tourists DO NOT stay in this hotel. It's at least a 45 minute walk from the Guggenheim & most of the tourist attractions. It is KIND OF close to the Old Part, but still a 15 minute walk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Ewerything was perfect, the atmosphere in hotel is really nice, makes u feel cozy and welcoming, staff is great, nice and clean room.
Cons: -
8.6 Excellent
Pros: new hotel, clean and modern.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place to stay as it is well located close to attractions, it is modern and clean with large rooms, has indoor parking and is fairly easy to get to. The front desk staff are efficient and speak several languages.
Cons: All good.
7.3 Good
Pros: The room was very big and clean, the big shower was fantastic I would like to have the same in my house. We could sleep well even if all the city was celebrating a festival. Last but not least the parking was really huge for our van
Cons: Everything was fantastic
7.7 Good
Pros: Large, comfortable room. Great variety of food at breakfast. Handy for motorway and old part of city. Parking available under the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Spacious hotel
Cons: Restaurant was very basic
7.3 Good
Pros: Huge room, super comfortable bed, 5 min walk to tram stop and -10min journey to Guggenheim
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious.
Cons: An article of clothing was left behind and we contacted the hotel an hour after check out with the specific location of the garment, and they were not able to recover it. (No lost and found ect.)
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast is great and even it is relatively far from the city center, it is very easy to reach public transportation from it. No charges is invoiced in case of no-show when you book with "free cancelation" condition.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The room was very spacious and comfortable. The choice of food at breakfast was very comprhensive and the staff very helpfull.
Cons: The waste bin in the bathroom was very small and hadnt been emptied. There was no other receptacle for waste.Travelling to the hotel by car from the City centre was a real nightmare.
6.7 Good
Pros: okay , staff spoke some English
Cons:
6.7 Good
Pros: staff was okay
Cons: breakfast poor , but okay for Spanish ( Basc ) Standards
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel. Huge modern bedroom and bathroom. Super buffet breakfast in wonderful breakfast room. I can't speak highly enough. Thr price was absurd, 52 euros for the room, 20 euros for two breakfasts and 11 euros to park in the basement. Obviously these prices reflect the current Spanish economy and tourism, as otherwise my 83 euro stay would have been three times the price. It's a five minute walk to lightrailway station which takes you to the Gug. We walked back to the hotel from the Gug - it took about half an hour including a walk through the old town.
Cons: Absolutely no complaints at all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the central location. It was only about twenty minutes from the airport. We didn’t need taxis during our stay as the city sights were all close by. The hotel bar area had food available all day.The local wine was refreshing and very affordable. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the staff were friendly.
Cons: There was nothing to not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good , Guggenheim museum and Fine Art museum were near by.
Cons: nothing to complain
9.0 Excellent
Pros: For me taking the breakfast in this hotel was a pleasant and good way to start the day. A good variety of products and a very good cup of coffee!
Cons: The croissant I had did not taste as a croissant should taste.
6.0 Good
Pros: Central Location, clean room, friendly staff.
Cons: The room was very small. We got a good price, so we can't complain, but if we would have paid the full price we would be quite upset. This issue is particularly relevant if you consider that the hotel has a 4-star rating. They should have the same size for all standards rooms. Also, it was quite hot in Bilbao during these days, but the heat was on! So the room was also too warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was brilliant
Cons: Nice rooms cleaned every day by an excellent maid on the 4th floor. Breakfast was also great an the downstairs bar brilliant also
7.5 Good
Pros: Spa has several options, affordable, good overall. Rooms well equipped.
Cons: Breakfast too expensive, would be better to see spa prices/menu before arriving and to be able to reserve online. There is definitely a noise problem, 3 bars in front of the hotel, so ask for a quiet room.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Classic hotel near the airport which is commonly used only if you have layover or flight early in the morning. The room was big enough for a one night stay. The breakfast is served from 4:45 so you are able to have it because first shuttle to the airport is leaving 5:10 AM. The free transport from to the airport is great. Don't forget to book the way to the airport in advance. The first are really filled up.
Cons: The only warm food for breakfast was fresh toast. Some eggs or sausages would be nice before a flight.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was good and clean
Cons: There is no restaurant in the hotel, the facilities at the reception and breakfast room don't have a pleasant atmosphere. The service is unpolite. Only use this hotel if your have to be close to the airport due to an early flight, otherwise go somewhere else in Bilbao. There only one restaurant next to the hotel Holiday inn Express, it opens at 20:00 and is immediately overwhelmed by the amount of customers who like to have diner. Unpolite service, long waiting for a table.

Pros: It was clean and nice
Cons: it doesn’t have restaurant and from the room you can listen the neighbors snoring
6.0 Good

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable, staff very gently and helpful, the décor of the room.
Cons: Nothing relevant
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location- although noisy at night due to local bars etc- so need to keep windows closed - glass bins used all night so pretty noisy-
Cons: A little difficult to find- reception is 2 floors up- No storage in bathroom- no cupboard space for toiletries or clothing- the only hanging space was a broom handle so had to keep everything in the cases - could do with some window covering apart from heavy curtain- no nets so rooms opposite could see in to bedroom unless curtains were drawn- not ideal- room looks lovely - but not very practical
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Nice charming rooms, very clean and perfect Location.
Cons: There is no such Thing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice decore and excellent position
Cons: On some nights the room can be a bit noisy because just on a street with many bars. The toilet door didn't close
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Room was beautiful
Cons: Very noisy party on the street made sleeping very difficult
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish guest house in a prime location in the middle of the old town. Surrounded by restaurants and bars and close to many of the Bilbao sights. We liked the décor, cleanliness and helpful staff and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bilbao is a beautiful and lively city and this is a great place in it to stay, if you are not going to splash out for the Carlton.
Cons: There was a coffee machine in the little lounge which was a good idea as few Spanish hotels seem to provide coffee/tea making facilities. It was a Nespresso machine which does make good coffee but isn't great for the environment as it produces so much plastic and debris, most of which is not re-cyclable. Also two plastic bottles of water were provided each day, which was also a good ides but a water dispenser with recycleable cups would have been much better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room only. Modern, quirky property in a historic building. Perfectly located within the pedestrianised Old Town of Bilbao.
Cons: Room size a bit small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and creative boutique hotel with a wonderful staff. We stayed at Euskera room and it was just as pictured. The location in the oldest part of Bilbao is phenomenal. I would love to stay at Basque Boutique again.
7.0 Good
Pros: Well located to go around the city or find places for food. Premises are also nicel decorated.
Cons: The soundproofing is poor. It is very clear to hear noises from street or corridors
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was excellent as in the old town, so easy access to some tapas bars, especially as our flight didn't land until 21.30. Quirky clean room, comfortable bed.
Cons: You have to let yourself in and so with no lift so no help with our cases. No fridge in the bedroom which we always like. Possibly, an option to purchase a croissant with a coffee in the morning would have been of benefit for us.

Pros: Super comfortable room and great bathroom. An oasis in a rural setting. The owner is lovely and welcoming. She cooked a delicious dinner for the guests who didn’t want to go out to eat. Staying here is a real treat after a long, hot day on the Camino.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Anything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fully equipped house with kitchen. Close to the airport if one has a car. Host speaks very well in english.
Cons: Church bell every 30 minutes even during the night is a bit disturbing for light sleepers like me. There should be some rules for food in the fridge that is not for sharing. We had some of our food eaten by other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this place is beautiful. It's right next to a historic church and the house itself is rustic and cosy. There was a self-service breakfast with toasts, ham, marmelade, tea, coffee, and oranges to make fresh orange juice. There was also a fridge where you can store your own food. The room was spacious, yet very cosy, in the attic. Beware of slow ceilings though! We banged our heads quite hard a few times. There are windows in the roof where you can see the sky or listen to the rain. Bathroom was very spacious and had many towels and soap. We received self-check in instructions via WhatsApp the day before and everything was very easy. There's a parking right next to the property.
Cons: Church bells ring every hour, so might be annoying for those with light sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Its location is very convenient between Bilbao and the ocean. The service worth its money. I would definitely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood.
Cons: No hand soap was available in the bathroom. I would also add a power extension cord to be able to charge phones, power banks, electric toothbrush, etc.
7.1 Good
Pros: located in a nice town in the Basque countryside, flexible unstaffed check-in
Cons: the attic room is not comfy for a tall person, weird self-service breakfast - unclear which food provided by the property vs. what belongs to other guests of the guesthouse

Very friendly landlords, even late check in without problems because of good availability by phone. Maps for the region for free. Room is clean, fortunately uncarpeted.

Cons: The shower leaked all over the floor. The wifi only works in the main living room and dining room.
4.2 Okay
Cons: On the website it says that there will be a private bathroom, but.....the truth is it IS private, just it was outside of my room. The room was super cold and no heater and no air conditioning. I had a meeting next day, and i got very sick...And the bed is very very uncomfortable, and there is no reception!!!! No recommend at all!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location (very close to main attractions / Guggenheim) Cozy Lobby Amazing Staff Fantastic Rooftop (for all family)
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, sparkling clean, cozy and luxurious. Staff was amazingly helpful and kind. The breakfast is one of the best I ever had but once again it's too expensive, 17 EUR per person. The location is also very good, in walking distance from the city center, with bars, restaurants and supermarkets very close.
Cons: Slightly expensive but it's normal since it's 4 star hotel I guess. We booked it since there was no many options for that specific day and we paid 148 EUR for one night when we paid 120 EUR for 2 night at a 3 star hotel..
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Central location, updated decor, helpful staff, good value
Cons: Some upgrades, like the floor, were cheaply done - squeaky laminate
