The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, very quiet, and wonderful food. My husband and I had a great stay, we'll definitely return to stay in this hotel. ;-D \o/ Nothing, everything was great.
most pleasant experience. staff very friendly. no complaints
Modern, clean, comfortable hotel with very friendly staff receptionist. Too quiet at night (rather far from restaurants & shops) even though very close too the Sanctuary.
Location, warmth of staff, their excellent showers and bathroom facilities No
hotel ambience, friendly staff distance from the bus station as this was the basis for choosing the hotel
It's a new and nicely decorated hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortably furnished and well equipped. The staff was friendly and attentive (e.g. we had a problem with the room safe and it was repaired quickly). The meals in the restaurant were served very good, the food was good. The breakfast buffet offered the usual assortment of food and drink in decent quality. Free parking opportunity in the vicinity of the hotel, additionally paid hotel parking. Good location near the sanctuary, also quick access to the highway. The breakfast room lacks atmosphere.
Very very good hotel. Great value for the money Absolutely nothing
The comfort No at all
Good room; satisfactory price Empty minibar; no free internet access
Price ok because I´ve just pay 50 euros per night Regular price of 200 euros.....no way!
The first time that I stayed in this hotel they gave a renowned room and I found agreat deal but this time I stayed in an older room what I definitly dont recomend
I found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was also very comfortable.
the staff were friendly and helpful and it was conveniently located the choices offered for breakfast and dinner could be wider
Excllent relation price/quality Everything extremly good
location to beach a bit pricey compared to other options and other cities in portugal
The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. The beach location was misleading, Had to go thru city streets, alleys, and shops before getting to actual beach. The restaurant was closed and the spa was non existant although advertised, pool and jaccuzi use was limited by requirement to wear swimcap.
It was a surprise just so nice
the room o.k
Excellent position and breakfast, modern and big rooms. We had a triple room at 5Th floor with balcony viewing the seaside. Swimming pool on terrace. The private parking is too expansive: 10 euro /day even if you arrive late in the night. It should be 10 euro/24 h. Swimming pool is small and often crowded. It opens only at 10.30 in the morning
Location was in town which was ideal for me. Recently refurbished inside. Didn't feel like 4 star. Charged extra for use of room safe and internet in room. Staff were impersonal, Gym didn't open in the morning until 10am
Great location one minute's walk from the beach. Good value for money, Good breakfast - bacon and scambled egg was a pleasant surprise. No negatives
The hotel was tastefylly designed and maintained. It was clean and quiet. There were many choices for breakfast, hot and cold items and very plentiful. There was free internet access which was benificial to us. We were three guests sharing one room. I expected to have the room we were given on the date of arrival. But the hotel was not full and it was a little disappointing not to be upgraded to a bigger and more comfortable room. Value for money...it was too expensive. And to pay extra for parking was overboard.
Roof top pool is amazing Under ground garage is very tight and they charge 10 euros a night
Everything was great. From facilities to pool, location, rooms, breakfast. Not to mention the location... 50 m from the beach and beach boulevard with restaurants, bars, etc, etc. It's not a hotel for "every pocket", however the expensive prices "pay up" for the luxury, quality and service. You want the best you have to pay for it! this is an excellent example of that
The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. After going up to our room and finding out that the a/c wasn't working properly, we were promptly moved to a bigger room and the lady at the front desk apologized for the inconvenience.
Thie hotel is just next to the Fatima shrine. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Internet access did not work well.
Great place to stay- lots of space in the room- a refrigerator would be a great plus- and ice machine should be standard/available.
hotel staff were excellent
centrally located and staff most helpful . good off road parking and an excellent breakfast
very nice new hotel, with a great location, I can only recommend to everybody
Very modern, excellent conditions, excellent location! Not applicable!
location for visiting the shrine could not be better. just across the street no food facility after breakfast. we had to go to the hotel next door for dinner.
Very close to the Sanctuary. The bed mattress was hard; very uncomfortable.
Very basic but ok for 1 or 2 night stop
My wife and I liked nice hotel staff, relative quietness, good price-service relationship. Very recommendable!
Breakfast Water during the shower was switching from very hot to very cold accidentally - impossible to define yourself.
Nice, comfortable, cheap rooms. Good breakfast.
Location, cleanliness, price (very cheap). You can´t expect more for that price.
The room was clean, good interior and very lovely people. Very important is location of the hotel - very close to Fatima sanctuary. So the atmosphere in the air makes the stay there very special.
the hotel appears to be a family run business, the rooms were clean and linen and towels changed every day including sunday. the staff were friendly, the owners daughter brought a laptop from home in order to print travel documents for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. internet access was very slow, and a working printer for travel documents would have been valuable. maybe a variation in the breakfast menu would be beneficial, especially when staying for a week.
People are frindly and very good. I really enjoyed my stay there. Thank you.
The cleanliness of the room and the good breakfast.
Clean and comfortable room, well decorated. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Free parking in front o the hotel.
The location was good and the staff were friendly Miss Cecylia was very helpfull for us
The manager was very kind and very understanding to the needs of her customers not enough heating
The owner was very friendly and despite a language difference worked hard to converse with us. She had tourist info available as well. Rooms were clean although small and simple it was a very good value for the price. The location was excellent for visiting the shrine at Fatima and the surrounding area.
The time we spent there was fantastic, and the staff was specially kind and polite
The hotel is run by Cecilia, a very petite and elderly lady who is warm and friendly, and able to speak adequate english. Although no facilities for food there are cafes adjoining the residence.
Breakfast very good and plentiful No plugs to have a bath
The breakfast for a 3 stars hotel was very good, egs, bread, fruit, cofee, brownies,
good hotel staff
The hotel as good location. The services are quite good and rooms are very nice. It was a very good deal.
Location. Clean and spacious room (with fruit and water) and bathroom. Breakfast ok Not enough insonorization in room but quiet hotel
The location was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff were very nice and helpful.
The hotel could not be faulted in any way.
good location nothing
quality of hotel no
The bedroom smelled musty on arrival, perhaps due to the carpet and little occupation in low season.
Next to other advantages of the hotel I d like to stress very helpful and nice staff.
Best for many years of travelling. None
It`s impossible internet connections in the rooms.
I must say that I have nothing that I did not like about my stay.
friendly Staff family owned
i would like to thanks to everybodies.who services us and i still thinking one day ,i have times to come back to the cova da iria hotel family...... no
The hospitality and kindnes.
The very nice, friendly and helpful personal in the reception. The quiet room that I got not facing the street. The breakfast was alright. Nothing
We spent 2 weeks in Portugal and 3 day in this hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful, staf was well prepared and very nice. We got useful information at reception desk, I mean detailed map of Fátima, programmes etc... I can highly recommend this hotel who would like to get value for their money.
The hotel is great located (3 minutes to Fatima's Sanctuary). Room was very cosy, new and clean. Staff was friendly, it was possible to check-in earlier and after check-out leave luggage.
very clean and stylish, nice decor, well situated and good parking space the luck of staff
I travel with my wife & friends for pilgrim purpose. This hotel is close to the church. The price is reasonable. The room is very comfort & clean. I'll recommend this hotel to my friends.
good position for travelling around in the area
Nice and peaceful and not full off tourists. Nice rooms
Continental breakfast content was satisfactory Very disappointed, arrived during very wet Friday afternoon and as the restaurant was closed with no reason given, we had to walk around the town to find dinner, getting very wet and fed-up! Gym and sauna were also closed. Bathroom was filthy with black and orange mould on the grouting around the bath. At breakfast time the chambermaid was called to go for rolls for our breakfast.
* A calm and nice hotel *Chose the hotel because of the location to Golegã. Was disapointed that the information on internet was incorrect. It was at least 25 km to Golegã! *Had some problem with the toilet, with the seat and wasn´t flushing properly. * A very hard x-trabed
Staff were very friendly and tried to help whenever possible. The restaurant was poorly used. We had 2 meale there, on both occasions the meat was undercooked. The second time we returned the meal and aske for the meat to be cooked through, it was but the potatoes and rice which were served on the plate with the meat had not been kept warm and when returned were unedible.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and was a good stop-over on our way up to the north of Portugal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.
the hotel is located near some industrial sites with sulphoric emissions. The smell all night was obnoxious.
Everything To move the hotel closer to Alcobasa City
Beautifully furnished hotel in pretty surroundings. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff. Ideal for a relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings. A car is needed to fully appreciate the area.
The very friendly of the owner
Very nice english speaking staff. Lovely hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful garden with pool. Cosy living- and breakfast room. Situated close to the mountains, beach, town. Sure, we come back.
Friendly owner good service co operative good breakfast good value for 65 Euros would recommend this for anybody relaxing place full marks
Great place and very good value
Great location to Fatima (an easy walk). Easy to find with good parking. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly.
The staff were extremely attentive and helpful to myself and others. booked a twin room but got twin beds joined together with same bed clothes so couldnt separate them.
The location - close to what we came there for No - you could not fault the hotel and its staff plus the location
I recognized that all the employees of the hotel including the restaurant, especially the staffs at the reception counter, were very much friendly, hospitality and helpful in every aspect. I should appreciate all of them for their devotion to their guests. I shall commit myself to stay at this fine hotel when I am back to fatima again in the near future.
Very good quality/price relation. Hotel has a new area that we would advise, although the rooms are more expensive (also bigger in space). Spa and gym are pleasant and for free (except massages) and breakfast is good. Restaurant is nice (not cheap) but too quiet. No covered parking and the one that exists is a bit small for the hotel size, but that's just a minor issue compared with all the good stuff you get.
excellent breakfast, spa was ok,lots of tv channels in english. steam room didn`t work,7 euro for a bathing cap so you could go in the pool.
Service is friendly and good. Facilities are excellent. Lounge is peacful. Spa is wonderful. Breakfast is excellent. Room service is excellent. Overall a wonderful place to saty.
The Pool and Spa facilities were first class. The restaurant prices were a little expensive.
A great place to stay in Fatima, quiet, welcoming and nice. A fabulous restaurant downstairs!
Overall we enjoyed our stay in the Hotel, the staff and facilities were excellent. In particular we found the Head Waiter and his team extremely helpful and they went out of their way to give us an excellent service. For example the Head Waiter had reserved us a table without us requesting (he pre-empted our needs) and it was welcomed after a long day out. We ate in the hotel most of our stay for two reasons, it was excellent and it was good value for money.
good staff, good equipments, well-located : everything was good ! Nothing
Rooms/Hotel are modern , plenty of space , very comfortable , Hotel is very well placed, easy to find I was surprised I had to ask to get the airconditionning switched on !!
Location of the hotel, very close to city center; very good restaurant, excellent wine list, trained, skilled, dedicated personnel. Brand new hotel. Highly recommendable.
The room is very nice The staff was not helpful. Computer at the lobby was down and staff was not helpful when we want to do internet check in for our flight
Arrived Hotel to be taken by our taxi driver (free of charge) to the sister hotel due to overbooking. 3* to 4* b/fast at 3* prices. Hotel only open 4 months. Hotel Lux absolutely brilliant!!!!!!. Yes we had to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good location Lines for outside calls not available dur to technical problems
lovely convenient hotel for visiting Fatima. Walking distance to bus station and church for all cermonies.
Brand new hotel rooms. Very friendly and organised staff. Breakfast had plenty of choices and quality was top-notch. Hotel is very conveniently located on a quiet street, only minutes' walk to the sancturary. Not any.
we were moved to the Lux Fatima which is brand new and everything was great
I chose Lux Mundi as my elderly mother wished to go to Fatima. This hotel offered accessibility and was small enough for us. I really liked the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff, eg, we were offered the use of a wheelchair when the staff noticed that my mother was tired and might not be able to walk the distance to a restaurant, also my mother was overheard to say that her coffee was cold, and immediately, without being asked, the staff provided hot coffee. The barman was also particularly helpful. They were all so conscientious about their work.I liked that the price was reasonable for pilgrims who are not always wealthy, given its closeness to the Sanctuary..If it were Knock,Ireland,it would be overprice we had travelled all day and were tired and were disappointed to find that we could get nothing to eat (at approx 9.00 pm)coffee was cold both days!
comfort restaurent not opened late hours
This hotel is very nice, comfortable, has excellent location and facilities. I stayed with my wife and my parents, the bathroom was very good and all of them enjoyed the stay.
Excellent customer service special mention to Corina and Vanessa. Had dinner at their restaurant Palasius and it took an hour before food had been served. The second time time we had dinner again and it took 45 minutes for a simple meal.
No air conditioning, no elevator or escalator, no window screens, extremely noisy rowdy people and restaurants emptying trash in alleyway thru 07:00 am, pigeons in immediate vicinity of window, no parking nearby, bedspread dirty, luggage up 3 flights etc
Excellent location - our room's window was facing the monastry (which is the only readon to come to Fatima ...) Breakfast was very basic
the hotel was bright clean and spacious the staff friendly and the food good. it was ideally situated for my visit to Fatima and I had no trouble finding it.
Superb hotel; good facilities; excellent Restaurant; close to the shrine good value for money
Very good standard No
Location and cleanliness.
The staff were helpful. The location of this hotel is excellent. The evening meals were good and reasonably priced.
The best location for visiting the Sanctuary - right across the street. The window of our very comfortable room looked down on the Sanctaury Plaza. Excellent reasonably priced hotel. Lots of tourists buses use this hotel, but individual travellers are also well looked after. Some may find the loadspeakers braodcasting the Sanctuary services intrusive. We enjoyed this as part of the atmosphere of Fatima.
quiet, nice & clean room, cheap, free parking facility
A friendly atmosphere. We felt welcome at once. Excellent breakfast buffet and dinners. Unique position close to the churc´hes of Fatima.
Hotel and room was first class. Size of room and bathroom quality were more than adequate in every respect. Staff were pleasant and friendly and they offered some well presented meals both at breakfast and Dinner. The place was only three hundred metres from the Holy shrine in Fatima. Also the main town and museums were only 5 to10 min. walk away. Hotel underground parking was free. (booked in for 1 day third week in June 2007) Gladly extend the booking the next time visiting. No
Great view, friendly staff, clean and great value for money
Loved the view from our hotel room. The swimming pool area was also very quiet and pleasant. We dined in the Restaurant a number of evenings and the food and service were excellent, combined with live music from a wonderful guitar player which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Hotel rooms are a little dated and could do with a makeover. The corridors are dark and a bit musty.
The view to the Atlantic and over Nazare is unbeatable. Nazare and the beach is only a short walk away. Good for a night maybe for two if you don't expect luxury service. Room is a bit small, remote control to TV and AC are to be requested from the reception, breakfast is simple, no vegetables.
this hotel has a magnificent veiw of the sea and nazare and is excellent value
The view, the friendly staff and the excelent value for money!
beautiful location. Pleasant staff
Cleanliness, extrem friendly and helpfull hotel staff Room TV does not properly
The presentation of the rooms and and politeness of the staff, rooms were very high standard
the friendly staff, clean room, nice pool area
The view from the hotel is spectacular. It sits high on a hill overlooking the town and the ocean. The restaurant was fabulous with amazing food and the nicest help possible. If you stay there park the car and take a taxi to town. The rate is very low and driving there is very tricky. When we arrived they did not have the type of room we requested. The front desk staff gave no information and needless to say we climbed many stairs we did not have to for 2 days until we learned there is an elevator. No information about meals was given. The safe in the room got stuck, with our things inside. On the tiny balcony there was an empty pop bottle with dozens of wet cigarettes. Smelled terrible. There is no one to help you with bags and the stairs in front are scary with bags. Worse of all was the shower....very high step in tub and the bottom of tub was like glass. Truly an accident waiting to happen.
Everything...service,room,breakfast buffet,views....all excellent It did not matterto us but if one wanted to be right on the water they might be disappointed.
Excellent view to the ocean, nice pool, friendly staff, price was also OK.
It was an excellent value packed stay. I will go back again. Nothing........................................
The staff, they were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room (suite) we had was spacious, and the views from the room and pool area were very good. The hotel has been open for just 2 months and there are things that still have to be done, i.e. sink plugs not fitted, no shower curtains, no indication of the pool depth around the pool, no clear indication of where the fire escapes were, no umbrellas next to the sun loungers around the pool, so no shade. The pool bar and toilets still not completed.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent. Beautiful views of the Atlantic and the town of Nazare. Its location in relation to the distance to the town centre.
Excelent view, the hotel is new, excelent service, excelent food, excelent price. The only problem is that it's far from the city, the beach. But has a excelent view. If you have a car, ok.
The nice view of the room with a balcony to the sea The rooms was not soundproof. I had noisy spanish neighbors
Modern hotel in rural location, stylishly designed and furnished, with great sea-views, Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful staff. Good swimming pool. Hotel was situated 35-40 minutes' hilly walk away from the centre of Nazare, which could pose a problem for some, although there was a courtesy mini-bus, albeit with an infrequent service.
