Nice setting. Good to have a pool & table tennis table. Receptionist was helpful in preparing food even though short-staffed. Nice to have a balcony. No coffee/tea making facilities. No english sky/digital tv channels. Poor shower/bath. Breakfast ok but not great. No lift.
Pleasant view from room. Quiet. Hotel room was basic for money.Water came out of shower as a trickle.Food in restaurant was expensive for what it was. Restaurant was clean however lacked any character.
Lovely quiet village location in attractive grounds. Great restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room toilet was basically in a very small cupboard. Not suitable for claustrophobics. Anyone with normal sized legs would need to leave the door open. No dressing table with mirror in the room. Not female friendly! Other rooms may be different. Only one night so we didn't complain.
Better maintenance and a fresh paint would add value to its looks
the help at the reception poor breakfast
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Nice swimming pool, location of hotel is in the countryside with all it's charm, yet close to Nancy and the wine region. It would nice if breakfast was included in the price of the room, given the cost of the room.
Hotel Staff helpful and pleasant to deal with, Food rather expensive in the restaurant The Hotel is in a semi industrial area and is not suitable for taking walks from the hotel it is not located in a tourist area.
Nothing was exceptional - there were the usual Novotel facilities - large car-park, good standard of room comfort, good restaurant. No
Whats to say it's another Novatel, but it's showing its age. On site parking was a critical factor in chosing accommodation in Nancy For a hotel that actively markets to businesses for conferences etc it is pathetic that they done provide Wifi free throughout the hotel
It was a good stay for one night. People were friendly. Location was good, easy to reach by car. no comments
Great value; clean large rooms; easy to find None
A room have two free extra beds. Also French news papers, including L'equipe, are available for free. There are a few, limited kinds of food for breakfast.
Easy to reach from highway
nice atmosphere no douche in bathroom
The service of the reception The staff of the breakfast, very dominant girl, rest of staff was doing nothing. Everything was to much.Airco did not work on every hotel room. Therefor poor comfort. Roomes are all the same; very small. So there is no so called family room. In the contrary of their website; Swimming pool was closed due to local regulations, start opening by June!. Don' t go here! It is a tourist trap.
Comfortable bed, good bathroom, lovely terrace on the square. Non-free and overpriced wi-fi, mini-bar/fridge didn't work, burns in the carpet.
Superb location right on gorgeous Place Stanislas. Excellent Concierge service. Beautifully decorated public areas and rooms. Excellent rapport quality/price for the courtyard-side double-standard room we had. Minor detail...We chose one of the less expensive rooms which did not have a mini-fridge or hair dryer. If asked for, I'm sure a hairdryer would have been sent to the room. Bathrobe was nice touch.
The fact that it was situated in the Stanislaus Square is a plus point. The same cleanliness and well kept historic beauty of the Square ends on the Hotel doorstep. This Hotel could be a gem, but it is evident that it is being neglected. The cleanliness is not up to standard. The bedrooms and bathrooms are badly needing renovation e.g. paint, the splitting windows, tile the bathroom floor and wall to standard, toilet lid broke off. General feeling of non-interest from the staff. Friendliness and attention to guests is a Hotel service and should be expected for this price. Sorry, but perhaps a little bit of this money could be used for the above problems. That would make it a hotel to remember.
The location is convenient for museums, restaurants and the world heritage sights in Nancy. It is two blocks from the tram line. The hotel is located on Stanislas Square. Every night around 10 to 11 PM, there is a son et lumiere show in the square with a powerful sound system. Afterward, the locals drink and party in the square until early morning. Sleep is difficult. The hotel does not have parking for guests.
The location and the hotel being very authentic The beds were a bit to soft and the furniture was a bit outdated. To some extent it did give it some extra character, but a bit more moderated would not be a bad thing.
The very central location. Its situation in the grandiose historic Stanislas square. The proximity of many excellent restaurants and shops. The complicated access by road and the lack of hotel parking.
Right on the most beautiful plaza
The location of this hotel is definitely its best feature. Although it is still grand, it has seen better days...Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was far too hot when we checked in, we had to turn the radiator off.
I thought the location was spectacular and room met all of our needs and was excellent value
We stayed at this hotel in 2007 and enjoyed it as much then as we did this time.
the very modern Japanese style room and the proximity (walking distance) to sights downtown We were very lucky to get free parking right in front of the hotel, but it's not guaranteed. Paid parking is close by, and free parking a little walk away at a movie theatre. The hotel is very hard to find, and we had to enlist the help of local police.
The hotel is located in a quiet place, near the river, and you can enjoy a sight of river and boats when you go to the center; design of the room is quite nice. Small bathroom and toilet, which are separated. And the walls are made of some plastic materials, which made me feel like I'm in a box ) there was no curtain for the bath, not convenient as the water falls to the floor.
Very good hotel, spacious room, toilet separated from bath, micro, large bed, very clean, good and modern bath fixtures, nice view from room window, original and healthy breakfast and helpful staff I would have liked it a little closer to Stanislav Square
Nice comfortable rooms and excellent bathrooms No proper breakfast
Room was very spacious. Bathroom facilities very good. Parking arrangements were very good in secure place.
The hotel is very modern with some fururistic touches, staff very frendly
A pleasant surprise, much better than indicated by web-site. It was trendy and spacious. We liked the refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary use of internet. Peaceful location. Convenient car park.
Excellent room with lots of space and many unexpected facilities. We couldn't think of anything else we would have wanted providing. Even an ironing room! We took three quarters of an hour finding it.
very clean and modern a bit out of the way
Really great hotel, very large stylish rooms, absolutely immaculate. Breakfast fantastic - lots of choice. Really recommend it and a very short walk and you are in the centre of Nancy - gorgeous restaurants and bars.
Very central. Easy access to all parts Nancy.
The atmosphere in the hotel, room' s design and location.
L'acceuil aimable, l'aménagement de l'hôtel, qu'on a si bien conservé la substance du bâtiment. - Belle salle de bain. - Situation idéale pour visiter la vielle ville et la Place Stanislas. -
Beautiful building close to the magnificent Place Stanislas. Breakfast was poor.
Great Location!! Tram stops right outside the hotel. short walking distance to town square. Staff did not speak English, TV had no english stations. Shower was hand held. Not a great place for American Tourists.
The traditional double room is terribly small and extremely uncomfortable. Floor looked as it was never renovated since 16th century. Terrible smell of old furniture. It reminded us of the room in a student hostel at university. It all can be accepted if the price would be 30-40 euros per night but not 110 euros.
Pleasant staff. Good building
It's a charming 400 years old hotel with excellent location (100 m from the Stanislas Place). I will stay there once again when visiting Nancy. A wooden floor maked noise when somebody was walking above my room durign the night. For me - no problem, but if somebody has difficulties with sleep, it might be difficult.
Room 115, first floor front side. Location! Charming old building with modern comfort. Super rain shower providing "tropical" rain shower! We were lucky to get one of the 8 parking places in front of the hotel. Small room. Very hard mattress, with 100% polyester blanket, no A/C in the room. Breakfast consisting mainly of packed items. Breakfast room looked like a battle field because used tables were not cleaned and serviced, so we took breakfast outside.
Central location. Individual character. No air conditioning and street noise in superior room as booked. Had to downgrade to third floor room for air conditioning and quiet. No drinks available in room.
Hotel on the edge of town and tucked away down a small road. Security was good. Choice of food was limited and seems expensive.
Clean and freindly hotel excellent breakfast plenty of choice
Restaurant was excellent for service, food quality and value for money.
Perfect for my needs, no frills, clean and well run. Thanks. No
access to hotel easy facilities at hotel closed when we returned after a visit to town, this was around 10.30 pm
Location No personel at location (arrived at sunday)
We booked half board at this hotel, which was a good choice. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast.
Friendly service. Well equipped rooms. Close to public transport. Plenty of car parking.
environment, quietness, good public transport into the city
Badly designed rooms. Very small and very dark. The bathroom is miniscule. Overall, the hotel is not suitable for family stay. Maybe is Ok for a night on a business trip.
Comfort, cleaness Evening Meals, fair but quantity too small.
Every single member of staff was polite, friendly, helpful and natural. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed for one night to break a long road journey and this hotel is perfect for that purpose as it is close to the motorway, not in the city centre.
Friendly helpful and so relaxing. The location, it cost us 15 Euros for a taxi into town.
24 hour reception, secure parking and location was the reason of our choice. Might it be that the hotel is trying to save on water - I checked 2 rooms but bathtubs in both of them had leaky stoppers (not possible to take bath, but only shower)
The position of the hotel (near the motorway, but very quiet) and the breakfast (wide choice of everything) The sofa/bed for children (in the room with the parents) was rather small to allow two children to sleep.
The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. There was no safe in the room and little information about the restaurant facilities.
free parking, access to highway, reception and bar area look nice. we booked this hotel for one night as a stop to cut a long trip from france to belgium, ok for that purpose if you can compromise on room quality and still pay expensive rate. room decor is poor and old. children's bed old, not stable, swinging and making iritating noise. room carpets old and look dirty. contrary to reservation confirmation interntet in room is not free, costs 4.9 eur an hour - a rip off.
The bed was very comfortable
friendliness of staff the location is horrible and does not invite us to book again
Typical 2-star hotel, but in a great location for walking the old city. There is no lift, so you have to drag your own luggage upstairs to your room.
The location in the old town was convenient. Rooms were clean. Room and bathroom were small, but clean and basic. It was just a place to crash at the end of the day so it suited us fine. Breakfast is expensive, better to grab a fresh croissant at a nearby bakery.
Centrally located. Good price. Nice staff. Clean rooms.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, close to everything we wanted to visit and close to lovely restaurants. The WiFi reception was excellent. The premises was a lovely former old home. Nothing
Nice location in the old district of Nancy. This hotel has a special flair. It looks like a museum due to its collection of old stuff shown in the hall and stairs. isolation between rooms could be improved.
A very nice individual hotel based right in the centre of the lovely city of Nancy, making it easy to explore, but it was not noisy at all. Staff were helpful. Directions were good so it was easy to find. Parking nearby. Felt that the hotel offered good value for money.
Quiet The hotel is quite old. There was no hot water in the morning because, we were told, the pipe broke. Had to take a cold shower which wasn't pleasant!
The atmosphere of the building and the location in the old city centre, friendliness of the staff. The room and bed were very small. Noise from other rooms got through the thin walls.
de beschaafde kwaliteit
Clean, spacious rooms; well-disposed and complaisant staff Really poor and unstable Internet connection.
Superb place for a low budget stay.
location, peacefullness Small shower
Location excellent Room had a smoke smell
In proximity to train station, center of the town Under the floor, no soap in the bath room.
The hotel is very close to the city centre and the room was not very big but comfortable and clean. The staff was also very friendly. This hotel/motel is ideal for short term stay because is really economic without any flair and fair parking slots. Breakfest: Dont try the optional - breakfast for 7,50€/person . For this price you obtain a croissont and machinecoffe and machine juice (all you can drink).Save the money and go to a bar in the center or a bakery and spend there the money. Bathroom: Only small plastic-bathroom inside with shower and toilet at maximum 1qm. Not recommendable for long term staying.
Quiet hotel. Simple (mininalistic) facilities but clean & comfortable. Staff helpful.
private car park, value for money
The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the city centre of Nancy, as well as to Art Nouveau houses such as the Villa Majorelle. Basic room but fair, in view of the price of the night at this hotel.
The double room was nice, it even had a TV, although we didn't use it, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also close to the railway station and city centre and the prices are very good. The bathroom was a bit small, but fully functional.
Central location and on site parking. Although booking was 'no smoking' there was an ashtray in the room and cigarette burns on the sink. Toilet/shower module is very compact!
Check-in time at Saturday is 17:00-20:00. It's a litttle late.
budget price, pre-booked secure parking no soul or atmosphere, was unable to check in before 5pm - door to hotel was locked and no-one was at the reception desk until 5pm, we had to wait around in the city for 30 minutes and come back to check in- no-one at reception desk after 8pm - I have never experienced this in a hotel before, even in a budget hotel. very basic quality rooms
The studio unit we stayed in has a complete efficiency kitchen, which enabled us to prepare meals in our room rather than have to eat out. Our unit was not air conditioned, which might be a problem during warmer months. While we were able to obtain on street parking, off street parking did not seem as readily available. Overall, however, we thought the property was a great value and provided for all our needs. The internet access is cumbersome, and sometimes unworkable if you are trying to access a site that links to subsequent sites. It should be easier to use than it is.
Room was clean and had all basics for short stay. I didn't like the fact that reception staff weren't available during day. We had to ask for clean towels and were told that it would cost us an additional 7 euros. We also had to ask for toilet rolls to be replenished as only two were provided for three people for a five day stay.
Cheap stay Very sparse and comfortless furnishings, linoleum in the corridors, not al beds in the flat even made up though booking was for four, and with children at least a 20 minute walk into the centre, plus we could not get into the room until 5pm on day of arrival
The staff was helpfull. The appartment was good and clean. The swimmingpool was nice after a day in the car.Good garage.
We booked for 4 persons, but there was only one double bed and a sofa.
Close to the hospital and walking distance to heart of Nancy; a very well appointed and modern room.
Reception: Closes at 20 hrs !!!!!!, this is not a hotel but appart hotel, you have to take care of your garbage, nobody from 20 hs till 7 am
Swimming was good to stretch out after a long drive.
The tasteful interior of the room, the cleanliness, the friendly servce The checker sofas in the lobby. Does not fit to the tasteful enviroment of you.
Location near the railway station, exceptionally kind staff
fairly central bedrooms a little small
Large room and television with two English channels for news. The location was convenient to sights, restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly. Our room was fairly spacious, but the furniture and decor were all dated and a bit tired (particularly the hair dryer). Lighting could be better--we were there for a couple of overcast days and, despite the large windows, could have used brighter or larger light fixtures to see around the room. As elsewhere in Europe/France, I find the breakfast prices too high to be worth taking.
Room was clean and tidy, fairly smart with a charming little balcony overlooking a local square. Reception staff very helpful.
Very friendly staff with excellent English. Made to feel very welcome. Parking could be a problem without special arrangements being made.
Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was located within comfortable walking distance to area landmarks.
The central location is ideal for seeing the city. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. The only downside is parking around the hotel, but this is to be expected in the central location. There is a small garage for two cars available at a reasonable price. However the location out-ways this.
Location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the railway station. Hotel staffs are very kind and friendly.
The shower and location Room too small
Shabby and uncomforable.
Nothing especial Hotel is under reconstructions. Also the problems with rooms. I get the keys of the occupied room:))
We were very pleased with the Americain Hotel. Even though it was an older hotel, the room was a good size and comfortable. We felt it was a good value for the money. The breakfast was good, they had free Wi-Fi and they were very helpful.
All in One service eli hintaan sisältyi ihan kohtuulllinen aamupala, tervetuliais drinkki ja ilmainen wlan tai tietokoneen käyttö aulassa. Kaikki paikat olivat pienen pintaremontin tarpeessa.
nice personnel; good location hotel was being renovated; looked awful; no closet space for clothes; bad elevator (slow tiny)
Friendley staff on arrieval. The location good for a one night stay in the heart of the town. The buffet breakfast a very good selection of fresh products.
location, close to Stanislas square, in the centre. breakfast was just good, fresh croissants and rolls. extremely warm rooms, due to the fact that the sun had been shining on the window for most of the afternoon, there was no fan. our room was facing the square, there was a lot of noise from outside, drunk people, shouting and throwing bottles on the square until the next morning.
Not much really, considering the cost. The hotel was so old fashioned, but surprisingly did have a flushing WC in the en-suite facilities. The welcome drink was appalling. The room furniture was so old and the chair was on the point of falling apart. The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was adequate with a reasonable choice. Overall, in the past few days we have stayed in various hotels whilst travelling through France, and most costing half the price provided better and more acceptable facilities. Parking was about 7-800metres away and cost 11 Euros. The photo on your website bears absolutely no comparison to the actual hotel facade.
the welcome-drink in twin room which had 3 beds only one bed was good. Not every room had hairdryer
Location, view renovation needed
Right in the middle of Nancy. Parking facilities
please give me points for this stay to my recently opened Acor account
Staff were best we have come across. Extremely helpful and courteous.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful
Helpful staff, clean room and bathroom, great location for Hotel De Ville and Light Show.
It was conveniently situated for the station, main square and shops.
Good breakfast, very pleasant and helpful staff. Procedure for getting TV seemed a bit long!
Good centeral location. Comfortable bed and good soundproofing so no noise from other rooms. Roomy for a french hotel. The machine to squeeze your own orange juice at breakfast was a superb addition to an extremely good breakfast. The room was too hot and the heating did not turn off.
I booked a twin room and all they had left when i checked in was a double. There was no apologie or compensation offer, it was a take it or leave it attitude.
Very clean and modern, great place for overnight visit or longer.
Central location, good parking facilities, friendly personnel Small shower that could have been cleaned better, no minibar, basic breakfast.
My stay was very bad .The wash basin was clogged .The air conditionnig was not working properly and the room was very warm . The room was not confortable for the price I paid and I think they give me this room because I made a reservation through you .
location & confort furniture & walls could be refurbished
Location just in front of train station. - Breakfast on Saturday was slightly minimized compared with Friday. -Personnel is not happy to speak english. - No mini bar in room. -Expensive price compared with offerd confort.
Location, near train station Too much noise from some lift or I don't know what it was. Room very uncomfortable. The bed was absolutely terrible. The showerbath was a joke, water was slow and weak. Absolutely terrible. I would pay 50€ for that crap.
The hotel's location was good for us, as it was near the railway station. There was no power point near where a laptop could be used with an ethernet cable for broadband access. The romm was also a bit "tired".
I liked it when all the Motgherwell FC fans left hotel for game, But we got beat 1-0, We will beat them at Firpark!!!!
Walking distance to Stanislas Sq, clean room, alot of space, cheap. Do not walk away from the centre of town. We walked in the wrong direction and felt rather uncomforatble and uneasy in a very desolate and run down area of town. Not nice.
The staff was very nice and helpful. It was a quiet and well maintained hotel. There was lack of adequate hot water to bathe my children.
The location was excellent, the apartment roomy and comfortable, reception helpful and price excellent.
Place Stanislas is a very impressive public space, of which the city can be very proud. (1) The hotel was not at all easy to find. (2) The carpet was filthy. (3) There was no kettle in the room. (4) It would have been helpful to have had clearer information beforehand about procedures in the event of being delayed and arriving after 1900 hr; this would have saved unnecessary worry.
Centre of town walkable, but transport handy if needed. Clean, friendly, helpful staff. Quiet. If you don't check your email before arriving, you won't be able to get in after Reception closes! No air-con.
Room was big enough for 4 adults, clean and very near the center of Nancy! Excellent! The direction to get to the address could be a bit more clear (new little street in a new development)
Easy access, affordable, good facilities Needed more electrical outlets!
Size of the room, kitchen, silent place, but with good connection with the city centre (the tram, 300m ditsnace to the stop) From time to time there was shortage of hot water in my room
quiet surroundings no breakfast on sundays
Nothing about the accommodation - it was disgusting and I can't believe that this can be rated anything but below 1*. Staff were unhelpful, room was disgustingly dirty, kitchen stove didn't work, no power for coffee machine, no kettle, broken shower nozzle therefore unable to take showers for six people!! Only bathes - just disgusting - when we complained nothing was done about it. All tiles in bathroom broken, bugs everywhere in the hotel, mold and fungus growing in bathroom area. Not suitable for pets, let alone humans!
