A stay at L'hôtellerie de La toile à beurre places you in the heart of Ancenis, steps from Church of Saint Pierre and 4 minutes by foot from Castle of Ancenis. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Pristine accomodation with kitchette in a very tasteful renovated old building. Superb bathroom and shower. Kitchenette most useful and great touch. Peerless location if you want centre of Ancenis, and the car parking is free in white line spaces (central car park across from L'hotellerie)
Pros: We liked everything so there really isn't any more to add. The bed was big and comfortable, the shower spacious and easy to use, there was a place for suitcases and a table and chairs had we decide to eat in our room.
Cons: Nothing. Why should I write more if there was nothing to complain about!
Pros: Modern conversion of a very old building. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
Pros: A quiet room, comfortable beds. Very good French breakfast !!
Cons: The restaurant was closed. We were emailed only a few hours before arrival. We had to microwave a nice dinner ourselves.
Pros: Well equipped and very comfortable. Location is excellent.
Cons: Be aware that markets can impact on guests' ability to park near the property.
Pros: Wonderfully restored building with the room being spacious and having a kitchenette. Location excellent with excellent bicycle storage.
Pros: Great location excellent breakfast. Spotless room
Pros: The breakfast and lunch was fabulous. The rooms were immaculate.
Pros: Very comfortable and weclcoming. A mistake I made when booking was very kindly rectified with a surprisingly small adjustment to the bill and good will and considerable courtesy. Right in the best, and oldest part of this very pleasant and peaceful old town. Fully deserves its high rating.
Cons: Lack of private parking is not really a problem.
A stay at Loire Escale places you in the heart of Ancenis, steps from Castle of Ancenis and 3 minutes by foot from Church of Saint Pierre. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely comfy bed.Great shower room. A real treat having Michel bring fresh croissants and bread every morning, plus a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice on the first morning.Great. The Loire is just over the road, wonderful.
Cons: The kitchen to the studio flat is very small, but, extremely well equipped.
Pros: Great location in the city centre. Parking at the appartement. Great room at the back of the house and very silent! Very good bed. Good shower! Free breakfast and Michel is a very nice owner
Cons: Nothing! I give it a 10!
Pros: Just perfect. Loved everything about Michel’s place. I’m a sucker for kitchen appliances and he has the best of all of it!! The place was clean to the highest standard. Nothing to do with the apartment, but if you want to buy anything, you need to do it between 10-12 or 14-16. We got caught out with no diapers while all the shops around were shut.
Pros: The gite was in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. The studio room was large and with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was very basic but adequate though a really tight squeeze! It was rather odd that the kitchen area was not private from the other occupants and the garden open to anyone to use but that was not a problem in the event. Thank you for the breakfasts on Mondays when the local bread shop was closed. I was grateful for the rubbish management because the closer places to take it were controlled by access tags. Parking was fairly easy to find and the parking permit being available was very useful on occasion. The town itself felt safe and friendly.
Cons: I would have liked a kettle in the very small kitchen.
Pros: Michel has gone out of his way to help us, from early breakfast, bike cleaning, picnic supper on the Loire river, lovely clean friendly accommodation. Superb and reasonably priced
Pros: All you could ever need this property has it. We felt more comfortable than in our own house.
Pros: Superbly appointed apartment close the river, shops, restaurants and bars. The host could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
Pros: Michel and Christine were very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen and sitting room were very well equipped. The location was excellent - Ancenis is so pretty with good road links and local attractions.
Cons: For the two of us us and our little dog, the accommodation was too small. There was very little hanging space or storage space for clothing. Consequently, we lived out of suitcases. Our dog hated the open tread staircase which he refused to use. We hated the lavatory in the sitting room, separated from the sitting room by just a sliding door. A very small step at the top of the stairs was a safety hazard.
Pros: The location and the calm. The tenant welcome and sympathy and kind attention (offered us breakfast :-))
Located in Ancenis, Domaine des Lys is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Ursuline Chapel and Church of Saint Pierre. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was very comfortable and big.
Cons: The quality of the breakfast coffee and cakes weren’t that nice. Cold meats and cheeses were fine but needed some tomato and cucumber and also some boiled eggs would have been nice.
Pros: The property was very beautiful
Cons: The staff basically don’t grasp the meaning of hospitality or that they are there to serve the needs of their clients. No appreciation shown that property is very isolated and that after peddling a bicycle for 6 hours a service oriented staff would not be too much to expect. Rather their response to all our needs was basically they couldn’t/wouldn’t assist us. Would never consider going back to this property
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Their restaurant was closed for a summer vacation, which we knew about well in advance so that was not an issue. The staff were helpful making restaurant recommendations, booking taxis and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Also really enjoyed walking the woodlands around the hotel. Beautiful setting.
With a stay at Résidence les Douves in Ancenis, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Castle of Ancenis and Church of Saint Pierre.
Pros: Neighborhood ,owner of a restaurant, was very helpful,
Cons: We had a wrong code to enter in our appartment. Nobody was there. We had to call the landlady. It did cost us about 20 Euro ( roaming ).The key did‘t work because of a special mechanism. The Rest. owner 50 Metres away helped us.
Cons: We would have liked bedside cabinets with reading lamps. Tv not in good position. We would have liked cereal bowls.
Pros: clean,efficient,good location,helpful hosts.
Cons: If you want to go to sleep and the weather is hot be mindful that voices carry from neighbours sitting out late at night in the lovely garden opposite.Either close the window - or lie back and enjoy the festivities second hand!
Pros: we booked it from outside the property . instantly the host sent us code for door entry and key box and we were in. the host told us he was available by phone for any questions . he helped us with information on parking which was outside free with parking disk provided. booklet provided very informative. restaurants etc. we would highly recommend monsieur marvels but book first. the studio was very well equipped and there is also a laundry room great for travellers.
Pros: Everything was handled with the utmost skill. The parking needs a little concentration to avoid the market, but it was safe and convenient.
Pros: Incredibly efficient organization.
Pros: It was placed very closed to the center of the city.
Cons: It was written than that my flat got an access to the garden, but the access was to a small and featureless street.
Located in Mouzeil, Château de Cop-Choux is on a river, within a 15-minute drive of Park of Monumental Sculptures and Church of Saint Mars du Desert. Featured amenities include a library and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Julie and Virginie were really kind and Lovely. We will stay there again! The dinner was excellent and the ambience really lovely.
Pros: What a beautiful place!! Beautiful room. Had a lovely 3 course meal. Young couple who met us were really helpful and friendly
Cons: Did pass this on at the time. It would have been great to have a welcome drink when you arrive. We had travelled a long way and needed a drink on arrival. Not even water in the room! It would have been lovely to be served a drink on the terrace! Other than that a great place!
Pros: The staff were fantastic! Very welcoming and wanted us to have a lovely time. We were attending a wedding and had been travelling, my clothes were creased, they were ironed for me, no charge. Lovely food, beautifully presented.
Cons: Nothing. It was good that there was no T.V!
Pros: Very comfortable beds in beautiful rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: We liked the room and the ambience. Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: All good
Pros: This is a large and rather plain looking chateau but it actually works very well as a place to stay. I got to try two rooms during my stay and I was most impressed at the value for money provided by the new owner and the young staff. There is a swimming pool which I didn't try and there is a reception centre for any guests who want to get married. Next to the reception centre are the remnants of an old tower, which leads down to a little river. You can order a meal for 39 euros if you give 24 hours notice and while it is not served as part of a meal with the owners as in many chateaux, it is served in an adequate dining room at separate tables. For 70 euros a night for a room I couldn't believe the value I was getting, but I was travelling alone. The furnishings are not priceless antiques and there is some cheap tack, but the place is in good condition for an old building and the atmosphere was delightful.
Cons: The main public rooms are rather sparsely and cheaply furnished and hopefully the new owner will add ambience and class to his great new purchase.
Pros: Old castle
Cons: Simple breakfast, no possibility for diner at night for vegetarians, no cushions on the plastic poolbeds,
Pros: Unique, friendly and personable property.
Cons: Having to leave :-(
Pros: One magical place to rest and enjoy classical ambiance and unspoilt nature just 30' away from busy Nantes. Accomplished chef does not fail to deliver sinful tastes @ very reasonable prices. For my future trips to Nantes I will look no further!

A flat-screen TV is available. Cholet is 48 km from L'Auberge du Tire Bouchon, while Saint-Herblain is 32 km from the property. Nantes Atlantique Airport is 35 km away. Pros: This property has been made to feel welcome and homely. Lovely personal touches. Good sized room.
Cons: The shower is a hand held shower rather than a free standing.
Pros: The staff is nice.
Cons: No hot water, the bed is not very nice, too soft
Pros: The restaurant is absolutely amazing. It was one of the best meals I have ever had! They also offer a nice breakfast and the staff is very nice.

Pros: Hi, The room was clean, and TV and other good. The price was very good. Moreover I have to give Helene at the front desk an A+ . She was the one at the front desk when I arrived . She took care me in any way: helping me carrying my bags to the second floor , making a lot of suggestions for ex, where I could find a place to eat ( all the restaurants were closed) , taxi info, rental car info etc. The best part I was very with and thanked her a lot for the fact that I could not find a taxi to go to my destination, she called her husband to give me a ride. She did all of that with all her heart. The hotel should be honored to have an employee like Helene.! I recommend the hotel, and also for the most part because of her! Thank you Helene
Pros: reception were very helpful
Cons: We chose this hotel over another as it stated it had air con. When we arrived ( in 32degs) the room was unbearably hot. We asked to get AC sorted only to be told the family rooms were not air conditioned. This was Not stayed on booking form. We were offered 2 separate rooms for an additional 49 Euro but in checking the AC wasn’t working. We went out and bought a fan for 45 Euro. It mean we could sleep
Pros: Well laid out communal area downstairs with reception, bar, seating area, television all in the same vicinity. The hotel has a good facility for storing bicycles and the receptionist dealt with our bikes quickly and efficiently upon arrival.
Pros: a good car park right outside. Nice breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Have stayed before and will again.
Cons: nothing really
