Pros: Food was great
Cons: More communication between hosts needed
Pros: A wonderful experience - the owner is very friendly and she cooked us a delicious evening meal that even my fussy 9 year old enjoyed. All locally sourced Finnish homecooking - homemade bread in wood fired bread oven, berries picked from forest, fish caught from river etc. Even homemade beer and strawberry drink for kids. We had a huge detached cabin complete with elk antlers on the wall next to the house. A fantastic stopover on our route north to Hossa National Park - it is just off the main route coming from Lieksa.
Pros: Comfortable houses where you can find everything you need. Delicious homemade breakfast, very friendly owner! We love the dog Viki!
Pros: Home cooking was wonderful
Pros: The room was comfortable and spacious. Although by the main road the surroundings are nice and not too far from a couple of national parks. There was a really nice dog there sometimes which was a nice surprise! Although maybe worth mentioning in case someone has an allergy or doesn't like dogs.
Cons: Host not fully communicative; for example we asked for vegan breakfast which was confirmed through email but on our first morning this had not been communicated to the staff in charge of breakfast. We arrived a bit later on our first night and after speaking to the host about how to arrive she failed to mention her mother was popping by and we got a fright! It is stated that there is a kitchen you can use but really it is the kitchen the staff uses for breakfast that you are allowed to use but it's uncomfortable and you feel you can't just help yourself as there's usually people there. There where cups and teas outside the room but no kettle so you had to ask for hot water downstairs every time. There's a sauna but we never used it as there was no info about it except for speak to your host which I'm not sure we ever met. Also a there a too many outdoor lights which makes it hard to see the beautiful sky!
Pros: Lonely place. Nice staff
Cons: Very late Breakfast. We never got on it, because we left early
