When you stay at Hlane Royal National Park - Caravan Park in Hlane National Park, you'll be in a national park and 4 minutes by foot from Hlane Royal National Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Rooms are very nice. Surroundings perfect for kids! Nice small park to go on safaris in. Lot of rhinos! Good breakfast buffet!
Cons: Restaurant could do so much better. Slow service, ok, but not good food. Buffet is better than ala carte.
Pros: The location of this accommodation in Hlane national park is amazing. At night you could clearly see the milky way while we could hear the lions roar in the background. Hlane national park has a relatively low game density compared to South African parks. Keep in mind that this accommodation does not have electricity.
Pros: We stayed in one of the private huts, with its own kitchen and bathroom. It was lovely. We BBQ'd one night, as all the equipment was there to use. No electricity in the hut, but gas lamps were provided. There was a mosquito net too. Amazing location right next to the safari park, so we were the first ones in every morning. The safaris were brilliant, with fantastic drivers. Our rhino walk was especially amazing.
Cons: We happened to be visiting over the few days when the watering hole was being 'remodelled', which was a real shame. When it is back up and running, it would be a wonderful place to sit with a drink and watch the animals.
Pros: The rondavel huts were a great joy to sleep in. We really enjoyed the clear starry nights with the soundtrack of wildlife in the background. During the day one can see the rhino’s drinking at the closeby waterhole!
Pros: Attention to detail. Simplicity
Cons: Beautiful clean convenient saw elephant and rhino from our verandah...loved it
Cons: It was a horrible experience! We were sent to the Bhubesi Camp, which is 14km far from the main Camp, and when we arrived there nobody received us. The breakfast was horrible too, and the staff really unpleasant. We also did a game drive in the morning and we just saw two elephants and one giraffe. Don’t lose your time by going there...
Pros: Lovely accommodation.
Pros: We did not have breakfast, but the Buffet dinner was quite nice. Real bush like experience.
Pros: Super clean and wonderful style. Absolutely Magical location.
Cons: Large tour groups stay at the resort so it can sometimes be busy at the restaurant. But in the area of the accommodation it isn’t noticeable.
Pros: Amazing experience at Hlane Park. It is mandatory to stay here for a night! The room was charming with that oil lamps during the night! Dinner was good and also the breakfast! We recommend doing Sunrise Drive above all! Lions will be awaiting for you.

Pros: Beautiful rooms, good beds, all with private bathroom, good restaurant. Kids really loved the basketball and tennis field. Wi-fi was good!
Cons: Our chalet had the living area downstairs and you had to go outside to go to the rooms and bathroom. There was no water in the living area.
Pros: The structure in general was good and the food as well. Great garden with pools and basket field .
Cons: We didn't like the staff, because we had asked for a technician who never arrived. The room was definitely not clean and uncomfortable. Bad rooms.
Pros: The best thing about the apartment was the shower. The rest was alright.
Cons: Wifi didn’t work in our apartment. The rooms weren’t really modern and the furniture is quite old.
Pros: There’s not too much choice for good accommodation in this area, but we were pleased we chose this lodge. A nice welcome from the front desk & actually the staff in the bar & restaurant were pleasant & accommodating. Our room was a separate self-contained apartment – you could actually live in it! It was large with a separate living room, kitchen, bathroom & bedroom. The apartment faces onto lovely gardens & was very peaceful. A nice expereince. We stayed here on the way between Kruger & Kosi Bay, so we visited the Hlane Royal National Park. After Kruger, it was a big disappointment!
Cons: Swimming could have been pool open
Pros: The beautifuk garden, the pool, the coffee shop and restaurant, the staff, the log cabin, the breakfast, the kids play equipment
Cons: Room 6 (initial room allocation) is in great need of improvement. Whilst clean, the rooms were dated and tired, things didn’t work, and so it seemed very expensive for what you actually got
Pros: The location is very convenient if you plan to take trips to the several Nature reserves close-by or as a stop-over on your way to Mozambique, if you're taking a trip to both countries. The staff was very friendly and checking in and out was very uncomplicated.
Pros: Location: on our way into Swaziland from Mozambique.
Cons: Property was too expensive for the value received. Staff was not really welcoming (didn’t know about my booking at arrival, seemed uninterested). Houses was 70s style, not cosy at all. There is clearly a lack of some hotel-venue competition in the area.
Pros: very good value for money, great friendly staff, good food, very close to Hlane park.
Cons: We had very loud neighbors who made lots of noise early in the morning. We did not complain as we only stayed 2 nights this time.
Pros: 1. Very convenient parking next to unit. 2. Spacious unit. 3. Onsite restaurant. 4. Comfortable bed. 5. Good breakfast.
Cons: 1. The older receptionist was extremely unfriendly and was not happy to assist with anything. 2. Non-existent WiFi. 3. Rats in the ceiling disturbed our sleep on both nights. 4. Very very low pressure shower. Could barely take a bath. 5. No hairdryer in room.
Pros: The accommodation was not really much to complain about. We booked a budget room for 2, but we got a big room for 4 persons around 50m2!
Cons: The food. Breakfast was fine besides the meat. But we had dinner for two evenings. First evening we thought it was an incident, second we decided to take a takeaway pizza. It took more than 1 hour to make them, and after 3 slices of pizza our stomachs were tumbling around. We both got sick for 3 days. We thought the service could be better. There was hardly any information about the environment, but maybe because there is not really much to do in the vicinity. Yeah of course the wildlife parks are there, but also about that there was no information.

Pros: The breakfast was good just the rooms where far from dining place we didn't have car to take us around plus rain no swimming
Cons: Didn't like our rooms where far from dining???
Pros: The breakfast was perfect
Cons: Hot water was not coming from the shower in the morning.
Pros: The breakfast on the first day was very good and yummy but the second wasn't good at all, they've just warm up the left overs, my husband had a running tummy all the way to South Africa
Cons: I didn't like the room because there was some cockroaches( very big)
Pros: The breakfast was good and plenty of it. We had a light lunch which was good value for money and quite tasty. Some of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and linen was clean.
Cons: The showers are terrible, literally had to jump around to get wet and one jet points up to the ceiling which has now become mouldy. The bath mat was full of holes and was dirty like someone had wiped their feet on it. The aircon worked but was very noisy like someone was breaking plastic all night. Very dated shabby decor with many things broken. No double beds. Inappropriate political information on the inside of the menu. There's not much in the way of an area to relax on the verandah, or by the pool. No comfy chairs or anything. Expensive for what you get. No WiFi out at the guest house where we stayed. (garden room with a view is how it's advertised ) It was far from the main building, more like a drive than a walk.
Pros: The house was outstanding. Extremely clean, white crisp sheets, comfortable double bed, hot water, private setting. The reception staff super helpful, very professional Classinah,Mpendulo and Gumbi. Breakfast served hot. The kitchen staff Mbuso was attentive and helpful. Even the gateman Sibiya was a pleasant face.
Cons: We parked our car outside no carport or shelter for it. Signage clear all the way until the last one dat actually takes u into the club. Its hidden by the road dust.
Pros: The tranquility
Cons: It's old and not maintained. Takes 20min yo make scrambled eggs
Pros: The extra mile that the kitchen staff goes to, in accommodating your catering needs.
Cons: The confusion regarding the receipt of booking voucher. The long check-in process.
Pros: We got what we paid for and it was expected. It's old school accommodation.... But clean, neat and all we needed. Food at the bar was very good and value for money. We enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Traditional. Mainly for employees of the sugar estate but visitors most welcome.
Cons: Internet not so good.
