Not so many stores around - no more coffee and/or tea after 10am
Best deal in Miami. Great staff, great pool, prime location. Broken Shaker is dope too.
nice staff, nice environment.
impossible to find a parking
Location, beach and municipal transport really good
polystyrene cups for the morning coffee.
Only one thing was good: women from reception was very friendly and helpful
Hotel is very very old, upper conditoner was leaking to our conditioner all the time (sometimes they tryed to fix this problem by puting a towel on it) and bathroom is really old and most things didnt worked well. breakfast musted to be untill 10.00 but at 09.20 usually was no coffee, restoran didnt work, pool bar also. the price for this hotel is too hight.
I was impressed by the design of the hotels and its rooms as well as its restaurant.
Nothing fancy but clean and the beds are very good. Neat design, the location isn't bad, and it has a pool and a nice garden.
The drink prices are very high
What I liked about this hotel was that it was smack dab in between Miami Beach and and South Beach so it was close to the boardwalk if you wanted to walk to to the beaches or walk up or down Collins Ave, and the other thing I liked was that it was value for your money, only a block away there is a supermarket store on 27 and Collins and they also sell cuban meals which was very good and cheap....,I also liked the fact that when we came home at night from partying in south beach it was tranquil and a place of solace knowing you wouldn't have to deal with any noise pollution.
Breakfast was okay it could be better.....
Great nostalgia - excellent restoration - nice lobby and pool area
Many things. There is a delightful verdant garden with an outdoor pool; many original Art Deco features, including the original cypress ceiling and the first working elevator in Miami Beach, and a most cordial and helpful staff.
Not really. We had stayed there twice before, and have always found it very good value.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms look just as advertised. It is located in a quiet section and you don't have all the hustle and bustle of South Beach just a few blocks down. It is a nice quiet Hotel. They (the hotel staff) adored the fact I had my daughter with me. Not many kids there, but they treated my daughter like a princess! For the age of the hotel it is better than most of the newer hotels I have stayed at; it was very clean and the decor was very nice and mostly the bed was very comfortable. The site stated no breakfast, but the hotel has a continental breakfast every morning from 8 to 10 A.M. They have Brunch on the weekends from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Creek 28 restaurant located inside the hotel, which we chose to have outside in the garden area. The Hotel also has a house cat named Dutchess, which is very friendly and my daughter loved her and made her feel at home, since we did not bring our cat with us on vacation. The pool area is nice and not crowded, nice for a morning swim before you head to the beach which is only a block away, or any other things you choose to do in the area. The parking passes from te hotel are great and can be used in surrounding areas, even at the 21st Street public beach access parking lot, beats using quarters! I highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed it and felt like family there. I think it says alot when an 8 year old does not want to leave. :o)
We loved everything and will be visiting there again! :o) We didn't want to leave.
Location brilliant 2 blocks to a gorgeous white beach, really helpful and genuinely interested staff, bed was large and really comfy
lift was a bit dodgy but added to the character as it was the original, hotel restaurant nice but a bit expensive, paying for car parking
Nice hotel, just off Collins Avenue and easy to get to the main parts of miami beach and south beach. Within walking distance, if you like a leisurely stroll, if not, there is a bus stop accross the street from the entrance and lots of cabs available throughout the day and night! Only one (although very large) bed in our room which was unusual for america, but all the same, quite comfortable, clean and more than adequate for all the time you actually spend in your room. The hotel's art deco restoration in the lobby was very well done. Lovely pool area and a block away from a really nice stretch of miami beach!
