Nice view. Breakfast was decent.
Would not accommodate early check in. Elevators very slow and crowded. Room not cleaned until evening. Understaffed. Adjacent buildings block sun in afternoon.
Love the: location room View Pool Beach
I did not like that there is no control of who is using the facilities, anyone can come from the beach and get drunk at the pool. I saw people coming from the street with coolers and a bunch of drunks.
There was ice water at the front desk.
This is an older hotel built probably the 60's. They have refurbished the inside, but the walls are paper thin. The clerk who checked us in was standoffish did a poor job of explaining the check-in process. Normally, this would not be an issue....however, this hotel is special. It would have been nice to be informed that my card was going to have $100/charge put on it...per night (2 nights)...$200 for 7 to 10 business days for a deposit. There is a $25 resort fee per day (for what I do not know...they supply nothing. Not even beach chairs. You have to rent) and also a $20 fee for parking. I booked an ocean front room and we were given a partial ocean front. There are people EVERYWHERE. It takes forever to check in or out due to the crowds of people in the lobby. You have to wait for several elevators to get up to your room due to the volume of people. Once you finally get a chance to get in an elevator you are packed in with as many people as the elevator can fit. The pool is over capacity and there were no remaining seats at the beach. The beach was full with a thick layer of algae (which I acknowledge is not the hotel's fault, but nonetheless disgusting). We stayed one night and then checked out early. Sucked up the cost of the second night and booked a room in the 4 seasons (which I highly recommend and was only $30/per night more than Newport).
Staff was courteous. Beachfront. Towels available. Room was furnished great. Balcony overlooking ocean.
Surprise bill at the end for "resort fees" and parking fees. AC in room wasn't cold in all rooms, just room adjacent to AC unit. Hallways smelled a bit musty. Very far from South Beach. TV was super basic channels. 4pm check in. No wifi.
Proximity to Haulover Beach and retail stores and food. Nice ocean views.
The hotel had a 20 dollar a day plus tax undisclosed resort fee on top of an already pricey room. A bit hectic around the poolside. Late check-in
Friendly staff Very good location Good facilities
No wifi in the rooms No free parking
Could hear noisy hallway, Only about 10 channels, couldnt order any movies on demand because of a lock that could'nt be removed until the next morning and wifi did'nt work. Expensive taxes.
Beach front and location
Had to paid $50 extra, $25 parking and $20 resort fee was not included when I paid my reservation
Location is great. Easy to get to South Beach and other areas of Miami. Lots of stores within walking distance for food and necessities. Beach area is very nice. Restaurant on the pier had a Caribbean feel. Drinks are pretty expensive compared to the food!
The constant noise of spring breakers in the corridor. Even after phoning the front desk several times and spoke to the manager the next day, nothing changed but at the end I could sleep one night out of two.
The paid parking system was convenient, you could select a self-parking or service-parking. The latter was just a little bit more expensive, but it was worth it.
The standard-room could has quite borrow views, end even the window is tiny. I didn't expect that the view from the standard-room would be luxurious, but I didn't like to spend nights in a cellar.
Location - beach
Room was dirty and in terrible condition. Complained to hotel staff and they said that hotel is fully booked so no possibility of relocation.
I already stayed several times in this hotel and will choose it again due to location and value for money
This time, when I arrived I was not given the room type I had booked (one bedroom room instead of a bedroom suite). Since I knew exactly to what room I was entitled since I stayed in the hotel before, my room was changed but only after some insistence from my side
