This hotel was right on the beach which was by far the best part. And by on the beach, I mean literally a one minute walk. Also, the stores across the street included a wide vareity of gourmet restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets and bars which were very convenient.
Where to start? We walked into our hotel room, and the first thing I saw was that there was this gross bugger-like brown stuff on our towels. Disgusting. it took the cleaning service 3 days to even come into our room to clean, and they had a horrible attitude. On our last day there, they disturbed us early in the morning, even though our do not disturb sign was on the door. On the fourth day there, we walked to our rooms to notice the door to ours and the adjoining room to ours was left open, with housekeeping down the hall. They had opened our rooms, not cleaned, and left them open with no one keeping an eye on them! We were in there for 10 minutes, with no one coming by. We could have been anyone! Who knows how long they were open without us having come back to the rooms. We went downstairs to let the concierge know, and they said they would take care of it, but they did nothing! The hotel needs heavy renovations. It seems like it is stuck in the sixties. The bathrooms were old, lobby seemed dark and outdated. The sinks in our bathroom were very noisy and seemed to 'scream'. There was no armour or hangers to put our clothes in, so we had to live out of a suitcase for 7 days. The lights were all flueorescent and horrible; it was not romantic at all! The beds were all right, but because the walls were so thin, we were woken up every night by the bachlorette party staying next door to us. I got up to ask them to keep it down, but went back to bed because the couple across the hall beat me to it and asked them to keep it down. The jacuzzi was closed for every day of our visit, except the day we checked out. I dipped my feet in and it was luke-warm. The cabana beds and lounge chairs were all dirty and closed half of the time for 'special events (even though there was no one on them). One morning we called down to the room service to order breakfast, and 3 times I received their voicemail, telling me room service hours. It was Monday at 10 AM, well within their hours. I tried calling guest services, got hung up on twice. The front desk transferred me to the voicemail twice, and the third time I called to the tiki bar. Finally, I asked to speak with a manager, who very rudely said that there was no room service, and nobody remembered me calling or transferring me to the tiki bar. i asked why my room had a room service menu if it didn't exist, and she said she didnt know, the hotel restaurant didn't open until 6 PM, and said it must be an old menu that cleaning left behind. Worst service at a hotel I've ever had! One day we asked the hotel to make change for us because we had a cab outside. At first, they refused, but then we told them that they could just pay the taxi then, and then they made change pretty quick. Upon check out, they attempted to charge us incorrectlyfor towels we did not use, they tried to charge us twice for hotel resort fees, and charged us to leave our bags behind the front desk. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER... more
