Pros: A charming house in a lovely place, amazing viewsover the Douro River, peace and quiet of the countryside. Perfectly cleaned rooms, original antique furniture. Good size swimming-pool, vineyards, amusing animals. Extremely kind, friendly and helpful owners. Carlos&Joana's warm hospitality really has won our simpaties. A lot of interesting places to visit are more or less far from the estate. Many thanks Carlos for giving useful tips to exploring this region.
Cons: The time of the breakfast's beginning is a bit too late for "early birds"
Pros: Great character family farmhouse, friendly owners, feels like home. They also made arrangements for Port tasting and river cruise on short notice.
Pros: The view and tranquility.
Cons: A bit difficult to find.
Pros: We really enjoyed and appreciated the attention given by the owner. I happen to mention it was my son's birthday the day we arrived and the owner had the staff make a chocolate cake for him. When we came back from dinner they had delivered the cake. We also like the assistance given about the sites and tour to take. The owner even provided maps and called to arrange a visit to one of the wineries. We felt really at home -excellent hosts, friendly environment. Excellent!!
Cons: more channel selection for the television.
Pros: Lovely cottage, nice and clean, helpful staff, a pool with a view. The kids loved the place.
Cons: In the middle of nowhere.
Pros: This is a very charming guest-house, with authentic furnitures, scenic view, food excelent, etc... only superlatives, but I loved specially the hospitality of Johanna and Carlos, that gave us all the tips to visit the beautifull Douro region.
