availability of the team for the information on the city. ( visit, commodities,... ) lack of information on the hotel commodities ( breakfast time,.. ), guides of the city in the room.
The staff were very helpful. The room service menu was merely the hotel's restaurant menu which offered four course meals.
easy to reach; nearbij the duomo; very good breakfast; clean rooms; friendly staff
Food was fantastic but pricey Single room was far too small. Bathroom was also far to small.
Ease and swiftness of check in; proximity to the centre Seemed slightly overpriced for what you got.
Very clean, good location, delicious breakfast, spacious room (thin walls though - could hear adjacent room), good room amenities (safe , hair dryer, bath robes, toiletries), very clean and modern bathroom, nice staff, comfy lobby,... Will definitely stay here again Hotel didn't have map of Milan or various tour / activity brochures
The location of the hotel. Unconfortable, poor services, doesn't deserve its 5 stars.
The hotel employees try everything to do good for the guests, although they don't have much to offer. In Holland we have other expectations for 5 stars! Underground station too far away, no sauna, no swimming pool. Simple breakfast and after 10.00 they ran out of cheese and ham and speck, though the breakfast time was till 11.00. No luxurous facilities. No luggage service. Small room for that price. No one at the hotel bar in the evening; no guests and no employees. When we got the room, the room key and the room lock were broke, it didn't work out, we could hardly come in and there was no other room available. Later that afternoon they fixed the key/locker. It's all very clean, and everyone in Milano knows the good name of Hotel Pierre. But we couldn't find out why the hotel has this very very good name...
the staff were very friendly. the hotel was very clean. we didnt feel it should have been rated a 5 star hotel a 4 at most.
The staff was quite helpful. Hotel is located in the city, very close to the tourist attractions and shopping district. We stayed at the junior suite, it was spacious and good for 3 people.
The hotel's location is very good - in the centre of Milano, very close to the shopping area. Breakfact was also good. The rooms are old and need the repair. Very-very bad rooms, not 5-stars hotel at all. Rooms are more like 3-4 stars hotels...
Good location. Clean room and bathroom. Was very noisy at night - someone shouted all night long and we couldn't sleep. Poor breakfast
Good location near Duomo less than five minutes on foot. The staff were kind with some questions and require to keep luggages from us. However the room looked a bit old and dim. Bath room didn't look clean. We could hear voice from nextdoor. It had no refrigerator. The cold breakfast is average with croissant, bread, cereals, fruit juice.
The airconditionsystem, while it was wery hot in Milan. The hotel situated in a quiet part of the central of Milan.
Price is good for excellent location in a big European city. Great location and price. Staff was helpful, breakfast for European standards was average/fine and you could eat as much as you liked. Not a fancy place, but very good value for money for a big European city. The walls and doors were not that thick so noise within the hotel traveled a lot.
The location was superb, 5 minutes walk and you were in Piazza Duomo: brilliant for doing sightseeing(as La Scala is close by and also the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele), and also for doing shopping: lots of good shops around.I really liked it. The hotel is not luxurious but it is clean, rooms are big and staff friendly and above all the location is just what you need if you are in Milan only for a city break and you are hardly in the hotel room! The air conditioning was not working that well, so the temperature in the room was a bit high......
Location A refurbishment would be more than highly recommended
The hotel was conveniently located in the city center, which made the sites walkable. And, it was reasonably priced for the location. The street that it is on is very narrow and nice-not a lot of traffic goes through there. It also had air conditioning, which was nice. The hotel could benefit from a facelift. Our room was a decent size, with a nice bathroom, but it could easily be made more attractive simply by changing the colors and freshening it up. It was nice to have air conditioning, because at night we had to shut the windows because of the street noise (people, primarily, having a good time out there!)
The only good thing is the location. Too expensive for services and quality offered. The breakfast was extremely poor - only stale corn flakes and old bread available. The infrastructure is very old and not well mantained, the walls are extremely dirty. I would definitely avoid this hotel the next time, I prefer to pay more but have a better room + service.
good point: - very close to Duomo - street is calm bad : - don't come with a car - expensive, the hotel price is too high compare to the quality of the rooms be careful : the only available parking lot close to the hotel is extremly expensive, 100EUR for 2 days !!! Milan center is a nightmare for parking a car
Very helpful, friendly English-speaking staff. Clean rooms, modern finishes, easy walking distances to most everything. Quiet. If you're looking for a spot with a buzzing lobby and lots of folks coming and going, this is NOT your spot -- it's a very boutique hotel, with a very small lobby that's hidden away on a side street (but very, very close to one of the main avenues). As a product of the building's location, the room was rather dark, with a lighting system that took no less than 15 minutes to figure out, and all the windows faced into narrow courtyards, so it didn't feel as airy as in some of the photos. The shower was separated from the rest of the room, behind only a glass door, so keep in mind that if you are sharing the room, it should be with someone you're comfortable with!
Walking distance to all historical and cultural places. Very friendly and helpful front desk.
Very clean, nice breakfast, fail location. Absolutely no information about the city by receptionist and they have no concierge or other way of knowing.
The breakfast was delicious! The bed was a little too firm for my taste.
The location was great for sightseeing. We had to leave early on the last day and were promised a take-out breakfast, but this was not provided.
everything is great but the price... a little bit too expensive
Close to the city center in a pleasant district Helpful and friendly staff Good size rooms with modern comfort and tasteful decoration Flexible on check in time
Holiday Breakfast service was very poor during the weekend
Location Airco did not work properly, it was too hot in the rooms
Great location, friendly staff, breakfast was good
staff was perfect! there were no any non free smoking room
I liked the location of the hotel as it was very close to the city center. Nothing in particular.
Location, stuff and atmosphere very good and a nice room with a balcon full of flowers. That's it!
Location was great for Milan city centre and the Metro to the Rho Fiera. The stay was made all the better for the excellent customer care of the staff. The rooms are very small but in the main you only sleep in them so what the heck. The beds were great.
location near Cadorna station, where malpensa express train arrives from the airport overestimated 3 star hotel, poor breakfast, small room and especially bathroom
Location was perfect as a base to see the city Mattress was too hard
Very comfortable hotel, very good breakfast, well located at walking distance from Duomo. Excellent value for money. The parking is rather expensive compared to the hotel price, and around 5-10 minutes walking. But one can understand it when you are in the center of Milan.
Hotel had old world charm and was close to the sights we wanted to see. Staff was very helpful.
cleanliness, very good amenities, and I paid 79 euro for two person, I think the price is very good for a small room. the elevator. it's too small and it took so long that we had to take stairs most of the time.
The manager of hotel has recommended the best restaurant which is in 15 minutes
very nice hotel, great location, th room was clean and very nice and the price is great! our room was facing the street, but we were in the 6th floor so it wasn't so bad
Location close to Cadorna station, where Malpensa express train stops. Within a walking distance to alla Scalla and Duomo. Breakfast was good. Room was large and convenient. Some of the front desk staff were unpleasant and uninviting, may be just having a bad day - but why does it have to be one of my worse expereinces during 2 weeks in Italy? It is not an expectation, but it would have been nice if somebody at the hotel made me aware of the time change of one hour, because I missed my flight leaving from this hotel for that reason
The situation of the hotel is very good, it was the main choise for me The hotel needs some rebuilds: new pipes in the bathroom( so the water can easily flow), soundproof windows( so guess wont be forced to hear the garbage truck during the night and cars passing), and also the walls should be less thick, so guests wont be forced to hear the couple next door.
It was very convenience for everything (shopping, restaurant, tour meeting place....). Hotel stuff was very friendly. Little bit close to the street (street noise)
Breakfast is not well prepared , bread is to hard to eat Wifi is not free City tax is more than its hotel value Single room is too small Some bathrooms also very small There is no twins rooms at all The location of the hotel is hard to find
The hotel is close to a metro station and to the main atractions of the city center. The staff were very nice and helpfull. The room was comfortable. The TV was really small. Everytime someone flushed the toiled in the neighbor room we could hear the noise as it was inside our room. It was a little bit annoying.
it is close to the shopping ara and sightseen places smoky room, shabby, old, dirty
The charming staff was very friendly and offered advice on what to see and where to eat. The beds are tolarable, not very comfortable.
hotel stuff was very respectful and helpfull..also the location was perfect for us. old design and need to repair the showers
The web site said that there's a shuttle to the Malpensa airport, however, it was 90 euros and not for free as I expected,
Central. Walking distance to castelli Sforzesco and Duomo. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Good service, reasonable price, close to the Duomo Center & quite a cosy room.
Location, staff. Nothing, everything was ok.
central ,Duomo toilet
The hotel staff was friendly and attentive to our needs, and the roof was more comfortable than the other hotels on our 5 stop trip.
Pleasantly surprised about the hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Very nice breakfast buffet. Excellent rooms
Nice location, have own garage. Poor breakfast and too expensive hotel:-(
beautiful rooms,spotless,lovely atmosphere
very beautiful interior Close to city center and tourist areas, as well as rail lines Room was spacious and very clean The original person who checked us in would not talk to me, only my boyfriend, though I was the one who made the reservations. He seemed very sexist, though the rest of the workers were very respectful. The internet was spotty. The king sized bed was two twins put together, so there was a large divide when sleeping.
Hotel staff was most helpful. Good location, near major sites in Milan. Tram service convenient. Everything made for a very enjoyable visit (too short!) to Milan.
central located,polite stuff vanity set
closeness of city center and canal region.
It was like a rabbit warren.Up and down stairs to find reception another level that wound around &around to fid breakfast No comment
I was only there a couple nights but the room and staff were great. The location was a short, safe walk to the metro for me. Good price for the location and accommodations. The wifi worked great from my room even though it wasn't guaranteed to be available there. There's an adjacent bar that creates a little bit of noise that may bother some. The A/C isn't the best to accommodate an American tourist but opening the window provided good airflow at night.
The hotel is in an excellent location and very good value for money
the staff were very very helpfull
hotel staff was very nice. location is close to Duomo. wall is too thin. not so new.
Nothing in particular. It was just OK. Tried to be a starred hotel and came nowhere near even by Italian ratings.
Hotel staffs are very kind and have good hospitality. And location is nice. I could go famous places by walk. I forgot the wall socket to use Japanese electric produsts. They helped me a lots. nothing special bad for me.
staff was kind and helpfull internet is not free and wireless signal is not strong in every part of the hotel (eg. my room)
The central location is ideal for short term visits of the city. The personnel is very friendly and helpful.
Close to Duomo...breakfast was full of sneaks which was good for us The room was smelling smoke...The blsnket was akso smelling very bad.
nice and smooth Kleenex tissues, very good quality; a relatively big bathroom; great location, 10-minute walk to the city centre, shops very near, no hot meals for breakfast eg: scrumbled eggs, no meat
The room were clean, quiet, warm 15 min far away from the nearest metro was problematic when you had to carry luggage
Clean and perfectly located. Effective and friendly staff. Continental breakfast not splendid, but ok. Bathroom a little bit "worn out" with a too small bathtub for a person like me. Slow lift.
it's extremely quiet the breakfast is quite average but sort of what to expect in Italy
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff.
Charming, sweet, well located, friendly staff. Just perfect! No.
Clean, comfortable, close to airport train transfer and easy to get to city center. In converted monastery which makes it very unclutered and lots of open space. Building is used as a conference and meeting facility, which can make it very busy and crowded at times.
Lovely view to garden, peaceful room, short way to malpensa expres, good breakfast Everything in the room was ok, but the room was not at all cosy.
Proximity to Cadorno rail station. Number one guy is heavy handed with the other staff. They are all men and several need to learn how soften up a bit. They were arguing amongst themselves on two occasions when I was at the counter. The fellow who worked the late shift checked us into our flight and printed our boarding passes. He said it wasn't his job, but did it anyway, with some humor and encouragement from us. The management needs to balance the staff with some women with training in personal relations, and train these guys to be smoother.
Location good for connection to station for airport. Within walking distance of central Milan, also good metro and tram links. Very good buffet breakfast. My single room was adequate and very clean.
Execellent location - re Malpensa Airport and City centre Restaurant Breakfast staff was very friendly and helpfull!!! Wonderful gardens and terrace. Self serve Restaurant is reasonably priced. Reception staff was very stern and we did feel no real welcome. Breakfast Room hard to find, signage is inadeqaut - Beds too low and too small.
I liked the proximity to sites in Milan, and proximity to transportation services and it was also on the Hop On Hop Off Tour route. It had a nice feel, and in general, was comfortable. Breakfast was ok, especially for short stay. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 3 days though. I had one of the older rooms which had not yet been renovated, so I was told. This hotel seems to have a lot of exhibits and conferences. The weekend I was there (actually for 4 days), there was a huge Masterchef Sweets exhibit with SO many people in attendance. I had to clamour my way through to get to my room, and was stopped by the exhibit people a couple of times because I had no 'paid' bracelet. Then on the Sunday night, someone was taking down the exhibit tents until midnight, and were quite noisy - I couldn't sleep. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker with coffee and a kettle in the room.
The location of Hotel Ariston was great! This made our holiday as we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go! The staff were also very efficient and helped out were needed. The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is that the breakfast was not amazing. However, it was okay and filled a hole until mid-day. I think it was just really a basic choice of food that needed a bit more variety!
Clean, basic room, comfortable bathroom. Possible to leave your luggage at the hotel before check in and after check out in a locked room.
Very clean and tidy.Close to the main square . The reception staff were a bit cold and not that helpful.
location and simple but good breakfast Expensive internet. Trolley noise from outside sometimes disturbing.
Location in historical centre, fair rate for service, friendliness of the hotel staff
Location, availability of internet service Inadequate parking area, which had been advertised
Hotel staff quite helpful. Great location. Rooms were a bit small. No ventilation in the bathroom.
good location, friendly staff small rooms, a bit noisy at night
The hotel is very close to the downtown, they have a small parking (20 euro per night but secure), it is pretty new and modern, large enough room and bathroom and nice breakfast in the morning. Like everybody said about Hotel Ariston , the noise made by tram during the night.
location is great, walk distance to all attraction in old city
Friendly staff ... So close to Duomo and is located in heart of town ... the room and the facilities were very clean ... It has a great character and represents the real life style of Milano ... Also good breakfast, great coffee :) ... Easy check in, easy check out, no hidden fees or surprises! Loved it! Thank you hotel Vecchia Milano :) I will definitely recommend this place to any of my friends/family who would want to travel there ... Nothing!
