price. bed linens. remodeled rooms. new heater/ac. quickly accessible from N & S 101 at HWY 1 junction. quiet. minutes to Marin City, Sausalito, Mill Valley and Tiburon and GG Bridge, SF.
water saver shower heads. small bath. small room. poor breakfast.
Spacious and clean!
Office staff not readily available and not very friendly at all....almost rude!
The room was a a nice size
The room was not clean. There were ants everywhere. I woke up at 3am and the whole TABLE WAS COVERED WITH THICK TRAILS OF ANTS. I didn't know any bite. They got into the mini fridge, microwave and was a pain to get out of our luggage when we returned home
Location is great to drive into San Francisco and visit local retailers for the price of the room. Compared to other prices in the area you can not get better for the convenient location.
The hotel seems to be in the middle of reconstruction so some rooms are done and some rooms are still not. If you get a reconstructed room then the price matches if you do not then spending too much still.
Abrupt customer service. But I think she was also cleaning rooms, so, impressive.
Fresh remodel, good beds, good coffee
Access from road a bit dicey.
toilet did not work no toilet paper holder no coffee maker or cups
Much better than reviews online.
Left finger ring in the bathroom. When came back to the hotel, they told us there is noting. Total liar!
room is huge nice bedding, good water pressure, sat tv
under construction the blocked off kitchen had a hole in the roof and the hole was getting bigger
We used it as a base for hiking Miur woods and it was good for that. They let us store our bag on our checkout day while we were out and about.
There is alot of highway noise and the bathroom wasn't completely clean, but it was fine for us.
The room was huge but w/o adequte furniture. The beds were really comfortable but their pillows were broken down sponge. The room was pretty clean - one day it wasn't cleaned at all. Another day we returned to the back door left open.
The attitude of the owners mother was unwelcoming.
I really liked my room! I didn't expect much for the price but I was pleasantly surprised. Very roomy. May need a bit of sprucing up outside but the rooms are pretty nice. I didn't want to leave.
The traffic right in front the hotel sucks big time. But its the Bay Area, its to be expected.
The room was surprisingly nice and spacious.
The grounds, parking lot, over all condition of the property is poor, unclean and in need up upgrading. Also the ad said free breakfast but there was NO breakfast or anything close to even a small continental breakfast. The lock to the room did not work.
The roach was easy to kill
Afraid to walk barefoot. Old dirty and only the sheets were clean I hope.
the location was perfect,i only saw cleaning staff a couple times and they were proffesional
I was checked into room that some one was already checked into ,I guess it was just a mistake, but I wouldn't want to have some one come into my room while I amm away or sleeping,i expect security when I check in, thank you
good for the price. breakfast stuff average+ except 'juice' was less than colored water.
for a while I needed to cancel the second night but was told not possible because I reserved the room on line. not sure that was the correct info. anyway we resolved our problem and was able to stay for 2 nights.
The duvet covers werenice.
The cockroach that kept climbing around the side table & phone. After seeing it trying to get rid of it I was cautious about sleeping.
Aesthetically, it looked pretty nice and updates.
Once you look a little harder, it's not as updated or clean as you think. The comforter smelled really bad and had hair on it that was definitely not ours, not to mention there were bed bugs! I woke up with a ton of bed bug bites. Disgusting.
It had parking in front of our room.
The carpet was dirty, the comforter and shams were stained, the mini fridge had beer and a half eaten slushie already in it. The shared door connected to the next motel room had a square hole cut out, that you could see through, w/ a cheap latch lock.
management and front desk are worse than you can imagine. being able to be that rude and indifferent is a skill--the only skill they possess.
I liked checking out.
No heat in the room. Plenty of street noise. The scent of curry.
The space of our room. There was a hallway!
It's an older hotel that needs some upgrades to justify the star rating.
Close to the city and mt tam.
Roaches spotted almost immediately. paid $---. This hotel should be half that price.
Great staff, clean room
its quiet at night .
the room didn't have air-conditioning and was hot during the day until midnight ,i didn't get any rest at all. lighting in the room was busted or non functional.
it was located where I needed to be.
This is like the crummy motel that used to cost XXX per nite. Now it's twice as much. Guess that's the way it goes.
Well located, ample room, and amenities
Very disorganized hotel, they gave our room to another person as we were still there. More about this below.
We had a first floor room and was very big and well furnished. Relatively quiet, even being next to the road.
Not much for breakfast, and one has to carry it to their own room.
No glasses in the room. Door card not working appropriately. OK Breakfast.
the location close to Mill Valley
Yes the location sucked right near the hwy and a busy frontage rd.
Location to Stinson beach.
Our room was extremely dirty. Smelled like mold and urine. Everything from a sticky tv remote, dirty walls, lamp shades and doors, and nasty carpet. I wanted to leave very badly as it was probably the dirtiest room I've ever stayed in.
The American Best Value Inn and Suites was completely rundown. The room smelled, bedding was filthy, carpet had not been vacuumed (very dusty), furniture needed to be repaired (broken desk chair), and no A/C. The room was not fit for people to stay!
This hotel should be closed. I can't believe that Priceline supports the hotel in Mill Valley. I have requested a refund - it was extremely upsetting to visit Mill Valley and encounter such a filthy establishment. Priceline charged $xx/night!
These immigrants that manage these places, Pakistani or Indians or whatever, are rude and need to learn a thing or two about manners in the USA, or get the hell out of Dodge. We don't owe them Jack. They should be thankful to be in our country.
See above. And maybe priceline should do a little more research on these places before recommending them.
easy access to freeway. negative: they put me in a disabled room so the water wasnt very hot . mat at door filthy w/ cig. butts. all in all it was horrible and would not rec. this place on your site. extremely disappointed. also charged me $70 extra. tax?
no restaurants near. no info in room. my carpet apparently wasnt vac on arrival but vac. on my 5th day and my linen never changed. i ran out of toilet paper so had to ask and then the next am found it on top of the dryer. never had enough towels.
The smell, the level of cleanliness.
Reviews were misleading. 2 1/2 stars was a joke. This place is a dump - almost comical. Stains on the carpets, walls, ceiling, bead spread... my kids were afraid to take their shoes off! At least the sheets were clean. TV remote didn't work. Traffic noise was thundering. Bathroom was not cleaned well - sink was sticky. Otherwise it was great! We stayed at three hotels during our trip and this was the most expensive and by far the lowest quality.
Great value, friendly staff, clean facilities, very convenient location!
The room was very large and appeared to be recently renovated with new bedding and TV. With the windows open it can be noisy, but being from Brooklyn, NY that does not bother me. Coffee/Tea/Juice available at all times, although if you don't like sugar, bring your own substitute. One complaint...ice machine wasn't working.
We needed a large room, we had to work out international luggage, etcetera, fit the bill. front desk is not covered all the time, free phone, we used the fridge for wine and used some plastic plates for snacks. You need to stop in and look at the rooms, because they are each in a different state of remodeling. .good value for the area. Starbucks around the corner, easy access to freeway. we will be back. No security risks in the area.
ROOM BEING WORKED ON, NEEDS CAULKING, HOLES IN WALLS. SINK LEAKED,SHOWER GOOD. TV OK, BED COMFORTALBLE. ROOM BIG. CLERK HARD TO UNDERSTAND
