Pros: The entire stay was amazing. Gorgeous location, beautiful rooms, and super helpful staff. And so many nice extra touches like electric bikes to use, welcome drinks and spa-quality products. We’d go back in a minute. We couldn’t have felt more taken care of.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent. Breakfast was super. Location was perfect. Pool like a dream.
Cons: Smell in the room because of canalization. Too few sunbeds.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, great restaurant, comfy bed
Cons: Bathroom and open shower with water all over, service at breakfast almost invisible dirty tables.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, design, spacious and stylish rooms, helpful stuff, veery clean
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, right on the water. Our room could not have had a better view. Outstanding.
Cons: We didn't reserve a table at the restaurant, assuming as in other 4 & 5* hotels, that tables would be available for residents. Not so, only a bar menu was available, which was very limited. The hotel should ask therefore, as a matter of course, if a table will be required when booking, advising that it books early, as we were told on arrival that the restaurant was full for the next 3/4 days. A nearby restaurant was offered as a substitute, but really, it is unacceptable that resident guests cannot dine at the hotel, outside bookings were given preference. Very poor and disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was lovely and the room very comfy. Staff was helpful. We loved the fact we could take electric bicycles for the day. Breakfast and restaurant were incredible! A lot of little details that made the difference: welcome cocktail, the weather forecast brought to your room everyday, a glass of champagne offered because it was our honeymoon. We really enjoyed everything about our stay at Castelbrac. Not to mention the location, a few steps away from the Ecluse natural swimming pool where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset, and just above the famous hiking path the "sentier des douaniers".
Cons: Too bad you have to pay for the parking, but we found a space outside in the street quite easily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely marvelous!! Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea! The decoration is amazing! The small pool was heated and had a gorgeous view! We absolutely loved this place and it exceeded our expectations in every single way!
Cons: We liked everything

Cons: Everything perfect.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic 3 night stay, Sylvie the owner is very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Super breakfast, family room was big enough for the four of us, really liked the bathroom! Made use of the swimming pool, had three sunny days. I would definitely go back to Andalia House.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a very special charm . The décor and furniture is mostly beautiful antiques , however the rooms are very well kept , recently refurbished (by the looks of it) ,and extremely clean !! The breakfast was fresh and served in the lovely old sitting room. Great Location, there are a lot of nice restaurant and pubs in the area, and there is public (street) parking just outside the hotel. The owner is lovely! Very helpful and kind . Worth every cent , highly recommended!!

Pros: The best thing is the friendly and helpful attitude of the owner. The location is excellent being in a central, quiet location. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms work very well. It is good value for money. I would stay again.
Cons: The hotel is still being improved. The carpets are very old. The fixtures in the bathroom could be better. If the owner could spend a little more on updating the common areas and be a little more thoughtful about the bathroom fittings and amenities then I think hsi room rate would rise a lot.
7.0 Good
Pros: The owner/manager of this hotel definitely makes it a place worth staying. We received an exceptionally warm welcome on arrival and received the same level of hospitality throughout our one night stay. Dinard is a nice little town to stay in close enough for a short drive to St. Malo.
Cons: As stated by others, this hotel is dated in terms of its decor and could definitely do with some refurbishments.

Pros: A beautiful country hotel set in a stunning location with attractive gardens surrounding a lake. A very tranquil place. We were shown around the complex and our room on arrival by a very friendly member of staff. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening which we had prebooked and would recommend that you do so as it gets very busy. Again excellent staff. The dinner was superb. Not only has it a perfect location in lovely town Dol, it is also closeby beautiful cities and attraction. There are food shuttle services to Mont Saint-Michel. What made my stay the most perfect is the friendly staff. No matter the hour of the day, they are always open to have a nice conversation with you or to give you insider tips. What I loved as well are the showers. It has decent space to undress, while in most hostels I stayed at it had to be in the same cubicle as the water. The beds are really comfortable. Pros: This is a modern purpose built hostel and has excellent spacious bedrooms and all the basic facilities you would need. It is across the road from the train station (but no noise) so it is very useful for traveling around the area. Bus stop to Mont St Michel is also close. Cycle routes are great in the area and I cycled there from St Malo. All the staff were very nice and really helpful. Supermarket, laundry and town centre nearby. Highly recommended
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location can be a little intimidating if you're not familiar with the region, but in fact Normandy is so well-connected by bus and train that staying in Dol was the perfect way to incidentally broaden my perspective of the region. I picked the hostel for its affordability and proximity to Pontorson, where the Saint Michel half marathon (and purpose of my trip) started from. The staff at Edd are amazing, personable and welcoming. Emily, the owner, seems to have created the perfect space for travelers to feel both at home and inspired to keep exploring. The wifi is great and works even on the front porch if you're lounging to enjoy the sun. It's also located a two-minute walk from the train station which is perfect for going to other areas of Normandy and then having a great home base to return to. On a personal note, Emily also went out of her way to help me find transportation to Pontorson as the particular weekend I was visiting wasn't very conducive to using public transport. Not only did I end up with a ride to the race--I also made three new friends in the car full of runners that I joined to go to the race!
Cons: My breakfast was a little cold but at three euros, it's really affordable and the coffee was good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: privacy in the dormitory, good organization of beds
Cons: price is high for a hostel near the trainstation

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house and the room are in perfect condition, very clean and styled well. The furniture and facilities are new and not cheap. View from the room is perfect. You can see a pond with fish right under the window. The breakfast is tasty. You can use the terrace with a table. When it was raining the host organized a dining table inside for us.
Cons: You have to keep in mind that the room is in a family house. The hosts live on the ground floor and rooms are on the 1st. It means that there is no private entrance and you will meet the family most of times when you come in or out. It's not a disadvantage, you just have to know this. However the family is very friendly and helpful. And you have to be ready that they don't speak English at all.

Pros: We were greeted as if we were family guests. Our bedroom was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We ate a breakfast feast with homemade preserves, Breton cake, croissants and other pastries in the splendour of another magnificent room. It was an easy 20 minute drive to the port in St Malo to catch our cross channel ferry.

Pros: We got to stay in a real chateau with the friendliest hosts. It was elegant in a delightful old fashioned way, the breakfast was delicious, the shower hot and strong. It was just the most wonderful treat after two weeks in a tent. While my French is rudimentary, I was able to make myself understood with our French speaking hosts. We wished that we could have spent more time there.
Cons: There was no signage to the chateau from Miniac Morvan and we found it by accident.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Here you step back into a piece of history. The family were traders in the 18th century and they have a ship’s log from 1776. The house is a veritable museum with original furnishings. The host and hostess are part of this history and have a wealth of information about the local area. If you have some French you will be very entertained.
Cons: Not a thing.

Pros: Peaceful, secluded environment within spacious grounds. Large, ground floor bedroom with luxury en-suite. Breakfast was very delicious with a variety of choices. Daniel and his wife were very accommodating. Even though we couldn't speak French, they made it as easy as they could, mainly by understanding our sign language !! Daniel, in particular, always welcomed us with a happy, smiling face at all times and seemed to go out of his way to enjoy our stay. This was reflected in the way he happily served breakfast early on the last day to ensure we weren't late for the St Malo ferry.
Cons: Nothing really !!

Pros: Staff were excellent. Best thing about this hotel!
Cons: We booked a room with outside patio, which was fine...BUT ....and it is not apparent from hotel photos...the room is situated at a lower level than the road. Consequently the room was VERY dark and gloomy. Not helped by poor lighting. Shame no restaurant or spa facilities available here., which wasn’t apparent on the facilities available at time of booking.

4.3 Okay
Pros: This hotel ( and the Manager ) are aware it is WELL past its time - by about 80 years. If no action is taken to make the urgent radical improvements, it will deteriorate further to the level of unuseable ! Accor, the corporate owners, I am told by the Manager, Marc, are aware of the many, many problems but there is no sense of urgency in addressing the issues.
Cons: See above
