The room size, cleanliness and comfort were good For the money I would have expected breakfast in the price
Spacious well equiped room and good friendly service Nesting seagulls nearby
This was our first visit to this Hotel. We found our room to be spacious, clean and comfortable and quiet. Service from all staff friendly efficient, and helpful. Food in resturant excellent I can recommend the grilled Cod, fresh and cooked to perfection. The full english breakfast also good. If you are looking for a short break in a friendly hotel this is the place for you. We will be going back as soon as we can. Parking free and just outside Hotel. If I had to complain about anything at this hotel which I am reluctant to .However the bed (mattress) could have been just a little more firm for my comfort, as I have a history of back pain!
Decent room, comfortable, well furnished and equiped. Friendly efficient staff. Good location. Neighbouring guest could be heard quite distinctly - at 4 in the morning
Close to the sea, central for Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate, picked at random from the internet and we were very pleased with the results. Would certainly stay again.
Hotel was quiet so received complimentary upgrade. Good price, good food and friendly staff
the food was fantastic and the room superb
Lovely large room with a nice sea view. Tired hotel. Very overpriced for room only.
cheerful friendly staff and good breakfast decor is a little tired and floral
Good sized room, Friendly staff, Good bar food, Excellent views Internet signal strength too low to get connection in room
Convenience Breakfast was poor - croissants were stale & inedible Bed was too soft and the room to stuffy Staff appeared not to be trained in customer services
Nice clean room, hotel was quiet but this was because hotel was not busy Pillows were not very good, too soft even with two!
As we only live 3 miles from it theres not much to say, we just stayed for a fun thing, but there are no complaints at all and the refit to the Prospect Pub is really good Not so much didnt like but the menu could do with a bit of enhancement
This is the secound time we have stayed and both times the hotel is lovely and clean
Nice and simple appearance! Just what you would hope for as an overnight stay. Cleanlyness in room left room for improvement. Lots of dust and hair on the bathroom floor. Staines from Glasses and/or cups on wooden desk and shelfs.
You know what to expect. Hotel seems to be economising by using smaller towels and very thin toilet paper which is a shame as it spoils the experience.
Very comfortable beds and very clean. Hotel staff are very friendly. Food is surprisingly good. Hotel reception and eating areas are a bit like an airport terminal, a bit clinical. Would be nice to have a pub attached but overall this is a minor thing. I haven't read the reviews.
As above N/A
I came for a family wedding - toured in the car all childhood Thanet memories none
Very welcoming, clean & comfortable, nice size room, breakfast was very good & well laid out, thanks for a nice stay. The fan in the bathroom did not seem to work as it got very steamy, your website says a power shower with a good spray head, the shower was very weak !! There was no brush in the toilet so very embarrassing to leave the mess for the maids, a brush would have been nice,
Large spacious very clean rooms, excellent value for money with lots of extras included, loved the homemade scones and cream tea!! ideal place to stay with children of any age very understanding hosts who make you feel nothing is too much trouble.Interesting period house with loads of original features but with modern touches.
very kind staff surprise, reservation for a 4 persons family room, have to pay 2 additional beds.
Attention to detail was of a high standard. The setting made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. No
The welcome was very warm. The owner made us feel 'like home'. Very helpfull and very friendly
Excellant food plenty of it None
Everything was wonderful. I couldnt ppick any one thing
Very Family friendly ideal for children of all ages, excellent value for money lots of extras included in the price , homemade scones and cake and wirless internet, very welcoming hosts, rooms large and very clean, houses full of character and nice extra touches.Hosts very welcoming and made to feel nothing is too much trouble.
Staff pleasant & helpful Great Breakfast Room and bathroom far too small
Warm welcome , quirky, excellent facilities for the style of hotel Nothing, very good
The cosy fire. lovely room, deck and sea veiw
excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice room accurately described
the atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed and welcoming, lovely decor, real fires and lots of magazines/books to read. The breakfast was excellent. There are several good reastaurants within walking distance, and nice bars to have a drink. The room was small, although I had booked a larger room I was given a different one. The bed was not particularly comfortable.
The cosiness, the old vynil records you can choose from and play on the record player in the lounge, the books you can borrow from shelves in the corridoors, ...And a delicious breakfast!
Found it easy and relaxed. Nice central We just stayed the night, however most likely come back end of July
We had a warm welcome. The dowstairs, communal rooms were especially welcoming with open fires and comfortable chairs. The 'Snug' with tv and computer was especially inviting. Our room was not ready, so we were upgraded to the larger room, for which I was grateful. Breakfast is served in a lovely bright room and the food was delicious. We appreciated the wifi access for our laptop, which enabled us to keep in good communication withour daughter. This facility is free and readily accessible,He had a lovley stay and will be happy to go back in the Spring. The room was very small- just enough room to squeeze past the double bed. The bed was accessible from one side only, so the person beside the wal has to clamber over the sleeping partner. The ensuite was also very small- but adequate. The online information does state that the rooms are small, but exactly how small. However, as the downstarirs accommodation more than compensated for this, I didn't mind.
The breakfast's were fabulous, well cooked and presented also varied. the owner and his staff were friendly but proffesional. The prices at the bar were very over priced
Leaving Where do I start. Breakfast was a free for all and a battle of the most ignorant for a table in the room because it was so badly managed. The room was so small even I had to shimmy side ways beween the wall radiator and the bed, thank god the heating wasn't on. The shower room was so small you had to lower yourself under the sink to sit on the toilet. The keetle stunk out the room if used. The balcony was 3 timbers wide with 1 small seat. The smoking room we ordered was then a 'smoke only on the balcony' room. Honestly, it was a total joke. At best this was a guest house.
Very much enjoyed the sea view and terrace from our first floor room and the friendliness and helpfulness the staff showed to guests and each other. All our queries were dealt with promptly. A light-weight duvet would be an improvement during hotter weather, and car parking is a problem.
Nice clean rooms. Didnt like getting an alarm call at 5 in the morning when we didnt ask for one. The rooms were too hot.
Great service and food
Hotel staff were very attentive. Restuarant was exeptionally good
Lovely view from room excellent breakfast Parking is tricky/no lift - access could be problem for less able
Helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, recently refurbished room with everything you need during a short stay
It's location on the sea front at Broadstairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful We had an attic type room which was very warm even in October. In summer months a fan would be useful.
Brilliant location and lovely outside space and public arears. Really friendly staff. Brilliant breakfast. The room was shabby and needed updating. Bathroom was small and damp. No satalite television even though it said there was. Very over priced.
Clean pleasant hotel, sea facing room, good bar, good dinner and breakfast, close to beech and attractions. Woken at 7-30am by building work being carried out within the hotel, ok maybe unnavoidable, but after 8-00am surely. Unfriendly and not very welcoming member of bar staff, one only, and maybe having an off day.
Having a sea-facing room was well worth the extra payment. Also Shane, the Manager, was very welcoming.
The food was excellent, hot and very tasty. The view from the bedroom window which was a wall and a rooftop which was a similar view to that I had on my previous visit but I guess someone has to have it.
The accomodation and service very pleasing staff. The level of menu and food not up to standard of the hotel generally. For instance the pheasant dish and the fish dfish were too dry and I think a choice of (local) vegetables should be included with the dish.
Very friendly and helpful staff, enjoyable conversations. Cooked breakfasts are really tasty. Dinner menu is excellent and cooked and served on a very good quality level. Changing of rooms went very well. Second room with view on the Strand we enjoyed very well. Little storage space in bathrooms. No High Tea buffet available, probably due to low visitor rate. However, it was advertised for through a brochure in the room. Our first room up in the attick lacked any view since the window was provided with foil and therefore we felt kind of claustrofobic for the first 3 nights (booked with a group booking). The consecutive room we had for the last 2 nights was very nice. During our 5 nights stay we felt that the restaurant menu could have been more varied. Although the food quality was excellent, we needed 'a break' and went out for dinner 2 times.
An excelleny hotel in a central location of a medieval town. The food was high quality and contained an interesting mix of flavours
The room was excellent, large and spacious, elegant in a modern style, very commfortable. Excellent breakfast. Large bed but split mattress, too soft, not a great nights sleep. Restaurant excuded quality but food a bit disappointing. Casual bar looked good and would have enjoyed breakfast more in that room.
Excellent facilities and efficient staff ensured a relaxing stay in an interesting and charming small town.
A very comfortable hotel in a quaint Kentish town overlloking the river. The waiters struggled to work out the table numbering system. So food and drinks came to wrong tables.
Overall value for money in respect of cost of evening meal
Huge room and Bathroom lovely big bed. Food was excellent Pre authorisation for payment was for full amount but then full amount was requested a second time when checking out and as authorised amount was still reserved on the account need twice the amount availible in the account
The staff made us feel special and a credit to the Bell Hotel. Our room was light, roomy, quite and well equipped. Love the entrance and the revolving doors also the information set out on forth comming events was very good. Our stay went too quickly.
Staff very friendly and helpful, hotel easy to find and very clean No bad points
Lovely inn, room was lovely, specially pillows, well cosy. Room was a little cold. And on booking via web site, I could have swore it said price encluded breakfast.
The staff from the minute of entry to the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The same applied to staff at breakfast - great service - I was made to feel welcome and special - thank you very much. None that we could identify.
Friendly and helpful staff Need more moderne shower system, air condition or telephon in the rom
The staff were very helpful and dealt with complants in a frendly and efficient way. Reception staff were knowlegable of the area and were able to suggest places to visit and transport/parking questions.
The Hotel None
I really enjoyed an open and simple reception. Employees reacted my requests with practical and smiling behaviour.
Very clean and tidy hotel with courteous friendly staff. Could do with supplying a few more sugar/coffee/tea sachets that are provided for use as in room refreshments instead of minimal amounts.Extras could be asked for but only enough supplied for 1 cup per person originally ... minor point though.
Location and value. Big bed is fantastic Not applicable
Quiet, very clean good rooms. Lovely, fresh English breakfast. Care had been taken with the decoration. We will book in again. Very quiet an easy walk into Ramsgate. I felt reception staff in the morning could have been more welcoming. Answering the phone, typing and dealing with us all at once does not make you feel a valued guest! A 'Good morning' from the waitresses at breakfast would have been welcoming.,
We liked it that the reception staff showed us to the room and pointed out the fire exit strategy. No
Room and facilities looked good. Staff were very friendly. I had 30-40 bites from 2 nights stay. I cancelled the 3rd night! Pretty sure it was a one off problem as my friend was fine in her room. Nevertheless it was definately the bed that was the problem. Did not read the reviews, this was booked by someone else on my behalf. The manager was very apologetic but charged the room cost anyway. Kindly, did not charge for the 3rd night!
The hotel was very pretty. The staff were very welcoming and the pub served a very good meal. As someone who suffers from back problems, I'm happy to report that the bed was excellent
up to date room & very clean
Staff were friendly and informative, rooms clean and practical. Breakfast was well cooked & substantial.
Everything except the food and that there was a shower and not a bath The food was dire
the fact that de hotel could offer us a room with a few on the Bay, which we asked. Quality of English breakrast could improve...
The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were well presented and very comfortable. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and upgraded us on arrival to an executive room at no additional cost. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and served in a very pleasant room overlooking the sea. The good parking facilities were a bonus.
Hotel room fine , staff friendly, location good. value for money.
The heat of the bedroom. Everything else was very good and extremely good value for moeny. We understand the air conditioning is about to be installed
Good value, good tv, good bar and food. Heating system terrible (air con unit heats air, but it's over the room door and has little or no effect on the room itself).
Ease of parking friendly helpful staff & a relaxed atmosphere
Good and comfortable.
Room was too hot
Well stocked bar and quantity of food was excellent Dining room waitresses were awful
good location . I am middle-aged feamale and staeyed on my own and felt very safe
view was great and also diner
The staff were helpful, tv did not work in my room so was moved and "upgrade" to a better room at no cost. Rooms very tried, but clean
The Guest House is kept in excellent condition, with many features matching an earlier period. The bedrooms are surprisingly large and very comfortable. The house is located in a residential district about a mile from the centre of Margate so if you are arriving by train you'll definitely need to use a taxi to get there. Also it isn't so easy to spot from the street.
The service provided at the Warwick was very good as the manager was very helpful, the rooms were comfortable and we were served a very good breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Nothing
The owner was very polite, and because nobody else was there we were upgraded to the suite for no extra money! Great cooked breakfast in the morning, and biscuits/sweets in the room were a great touch.
Richard, the owner, is very helpful indeed. We were heading out early and he made us breakfast to go - not many places do that. The Warwick is not luxury, but everything is in good working order and for the price it is well worth it.
Extremely comfortable and clean. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Staff very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
The accommodation was excellent and the owners were extremely helpful with any request and cooked the best scrambled egg! None
The staff were really friendly kind and helpful. There were a few minor mishaps but there helpfullness soon overiden any problems. I would not say there were any bade points. A little mix up, but nothing bad
Nice room with a sea view - hotel located in an attractive Victorian square. Breakfast was very good Parking is a bit of a problem - had to park several streets away
Good location Noisy, cold, owner couldn't get breakfast order right.
Fairly cheap. Despite advertising their preparedness to accept Visa and Master credit cards, they wanted only cash. They gave no receipt when payment was handed to them. They most certainly cannot be regarded as a three star hotel; more like a two star guest house.
Young woman tried her best under difficult conditions Booked by credit card, on arrival only wanted cash - had to go to town and get some. Room barby pink. Pillows flat and hard. Breakfast not up to much.
Nothing a terrible hotel which I would urge others not to stay at The hotel is appalling, I think the multi cracked window in my bedroom summed the place up, tired and unwelcoming; in understanding that the hotel is a Grade II listed building there is no excuse for this, however this was the tip of the iceberg.
Clean, friendly, full beakfast very good
Very friendly, happy with the room (supposed to be a single but big enough for 2 people) None
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help me...and the room had a fantastic view over the park, tennis courts and down to the sea. Much nicer than I imagined it would be when I found it on the internet site. The decor of the room was a little twee! The breakfast time of 08.30 was also a little early for me for a Sunday!
Proximity to the seafront and town. The dirty tooth glass in the showeroom. The concealed, sour milk sachets. The dirty bedside tables. The ceiling fan which didn't work. The 10 ft. wall built 12 inches in front of the window- Both creating a small claustrophobic, stuffy room. The hotel in total darkness when I arrived. The unhealthy breakfast, -fry up and white toast and cornflakes the only choice of cereal. The lack of hairdryer as stated. The lack of wi-fi as stated. The lack of a Restaurant, as stated. There wasn't even a Reception, as stated.
Ideal location to visit performances at Winter Gardens. The hotel staff were very friendly and made us most welcome. Room decor and furniture dated, but very clean. Certainly met our needs.
The friendly staff were excellent, felt immediately welcome. The whole place was spotless and the room was a fantastic size! Brilliant. Quite far out from main Margate town centre but walkable.
the hotel was very comfortable and clean. there was a certain member of the reception staff that wasn't very friendly and din't want to help at all.
Friendly staff, asked several times if I needed help or assistance. Parking just outside the hotel. Free wifi is also a plus. Nothing.
Breakfast was very good, sea view from room Single room was very small, bed squeaky.
Food was very good. Able to extend booked stay from 3 nights to 5 without moving rooms. Small, crowded room. Some staff made it feel as though it was a chore to serve us.
Nicely finished room, cooking facilities, helpful staff. Entrance to room off dining hall. Slow taps in bath! Smell of smoke through window in bathroom (must have been a smokers' area outside). Door difficult to latch.
Many hotels don't do just a Saturday booking so we were pleased to find Smiths Court. We did not use the resturaunt (which looked v. nice) but found the room, bar area, general facilities and location very good. No
staff helpful. room was beautiful. food good. hotel was excerlent no
The reception staff very helpful. Also the room very clean, spacious, comfortable and lovely sea view. That we could only have a bar snack in the evening as the restaurant was full due to a party.
