Hotel Mignon is set right on the coast on the Bay of Grignano, just above Castello di Miramare. Most rooms and the restaurant have beautiful sea views. WiFi and parking are free. This small and welcoming hotel offers 12 en suite rooms. Some rooms are complete with a balcony. You can enjoy fresh, local food at the restaurant that features a panoramic terrace. An Italian breakfast is available daily, savoury options can also be requested according to availability. The Mignon Hotel is easily reached SR14 coastal road and the E70 motorway. It is connected by bus to Trieste Train Station.
Pros: Very nice owners/managers, very kind and helpful. Great breakfast, fantastic view from the room.
Cons: It's a old building so expect some bugs/..., there was a invasion of bugs (see pic) the first night, we killed 6-7, I wonder if it was because we turned the heat on which made them come out of woodwork? Also, the radiators didn't work (late Oct.) but there was a space heater there which was more than enough.
Pros: Quirky. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite not being able to speak English.
Cons: Not a good hotel for people who have mobility troubles. Access to the hotel is up stairs and there is no elevator.
Pros: The staff was polite and attentive during breakfast.
Cons: The place was overpriced for the age and quality. The hotel is located by the marina which has an unpleasant sewer smell that will come through the windows and the bathroom. The place, in general, is poorly maintained. It is very dark, full of antiques and very scary at night.
Pros: The charming, little family hotel with a sea view. Rooms are tidy and clean in a gothic style with a lot of antiques which makes you feel as if you are in a museum. Polite and welcoming hosts, traditional Italian cuisine will make you capture the real Italian spirit. Free parking available.
Pros: Staff very helpful. Nice people.
Pros: Nice and relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, near to the sea.
Pros: Food great room full of character location good
Pros: The staff was great. The location to the ocean and the castle were great. The hotel is comfortable but a little dated. However, we enjoyed our stay and the dinner at the hotel was fantastic, especially the home made pasta.
Cons: The hotel is a little dated, but otherwise very comfortable.

All of our 173 guest rooms provide free Wi-Fi and satellite TV as standard. Our 5th floor suites face the harbor and boast beautiful views of the sea. La Veranda is our hotel restaurant serving exquisite international and local dishes in a welcoming and stylish environment. Pros: The location was close to the train station and close to where I needed to go. Room was modern and clean.
Cons: In this day and age, the availability of WiFi at a hotel should be up to standard (fast, reliant/stable and free of charge). Even though WiFi was free, it is the "basic level". Should you want to video call with the family, you will need to pay for the "premium speed" which is ridiculous at EUR10/day. Even then, after paying the "premium rate", the WiFi was still slow and unstable.
Pros: All was perfect. The restaurant in the hotel was the perfect place for dinner. Delicious food. Location close to the center. Nice room and tasty breakfast. Receptionist was top and helped us a lot.
Cons: All went super.
9.4 Excellent (4,527 reviews)
The Savoia Excelsior Palace is a hotel of timeless charm that immediately evokes all Mitteleuropean's splendor. It is not a coincidence that, when it opened in 1911, it was acclaimed as the most important and luxurious hotel in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The hotel remains an emblem of the majesty, sophistication and peerless style that distinguished the first grand hotels at the end of the 19th century. A towering presence on the historic seafront just off the city center, with an impressive white faade gazing over the endless view of the Gulf of Trieste, the Savoia Excelsior Palace makes an unforgettable first impression. But inside is where the magic really begins. The 144 rooms and suites have been recently restyled with a blend of classic elegance and contemporary details. Many offer breathtaking views of the beautiful panorama of the Gulf of Trieste, extending almost as far as the historic Miramare Castle. The restaurant offers a gourmet experience with creative cuisine and traditional local delicacies, accompanied not only by the finest wine labels but also by superlative seafront views. Nine bright, elegant meeting rooms accommodating up to 320 guests are available to host both private gatherings and business events; our Event Manager is at your service. From the Concierge to the 24-hour room service, from the Wi-Fi to the tranquil library, all the hotels amenities are selected and personalized to offer you an exceptional stay in unparalleled comfort.
Pros: All on the level of a 5 star hotel even though officially only 4 stars. Large rooms, very comfortable beds, good view, clean and large bathroom and all very satisfying
Cons: The gym; the air conditioning could be better. And the language of treadmills only Italian which is not possible to do the programming
Pros: Beautiful rooms. Perfect seafront location. Centrally located. 10-15 minutes from the station
Pros: Location and how building looks like
Cons: Small entrance door
Pros: The personnel was very kind and helpful. We arrived late in the night and they let us to park the car in front of the hotel until the morning, where you usually can't. We enjoyed the rich breakfast and loved our silent and comfortable room with a view to the sea and the pier.
Cons: I was not satisfied with the communication before our arrival. Since I knew we'll arrive late, the parking was an issue. I asked for help/advice via e-mail, but they didn't answer my questions. Although the problem was solved immediately as we arrived, it could have been better communicated. I think the hotel's 30 EUR/day valet service is a bit too expensive, the San Giusto parking lot is only 450 meters away and it does a great service for 15 EUR/day.
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a great location. Well-appointed with a wonderful balcony and view.
Cons: The heating system was broken and the staff unable to fix it. It was freezing in both areas of the suite and extremely uncomfortable.
With a stay at B&B Hotel Trieste in Trieste (Trieste City Centre), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Piazza Vittorio Veneto and 7 minutes by foot from Canal Grande di Trieste. Featured amenities include express check-out, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Location was very near train station, so very easy to travel returning back.
Pros: Location was excellent, just off square at train station. Room very nice, fresh, very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in Trieste
Pros: Close to the railway station, friendly, good room.
Cons: The room was a bit colder even though we turned the heating system on. Also the cleaning lady was knocking to the door every morning starting from 9 couple of times while we were sleeping and we couldn't rest more even if we wanted to. They should provide guests with the the do not disturb sign, which I could not find into the room. Otherwise everything was nice and place was comfortable.
Pros: It was very central, across square from central station, staff were very friendly
Pros: Good location.
Pros: Location, fair price. Good breakfast.
Pros: Clearly an old girl in need of a refurbish, but very clean and charming. Large rooms.
Located in Trieste (Roiano-Gretta-Barcola-Cologna-Scorcola), Hotel Miramare - Adults Only is within a 5-minute drive of Miramare Castle and Natural Marine Reserve of Miramare Visitor Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A good sized room with large bathroom and a balcony that gave us a view to die for. To be able to open the patio windows and step onto a substantial balcony is what made this stay so special. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in the bright and airy rooms. The breakfast was extensive with so much choice from cold cuts to cooked breakfast. The staff were so accommodating and friendly this added to our lovely two night stay. Whilst just outside town, this was one of the features we liked about the hotel. But if you wanted to venture into Trieste it was apparent that buses and taxis were available if the walk took too long. We are keeping Trieste town for another visit. Whilst surrounded by restaurants and bars it was such a bonus to have a very good restaurant in the hotel particularly out of season. We visited in February. Plenty of parking available which was so easy to access.
Pros: View from the balcony.. Coffee was great,,free parking..
Cons: Hairs in the breakfast.
Pros: Hotel at Beach With Parking Near Trieste
Pros: Best breakfast in any hotel in my life. See view.
Cons: Small shower
Pros: Absolutely perfect hotel.
Pros: Super position right next to Miramare castle. Very comfy room with brilliant views over the sea and Trieste.
Cons: Terrible service in the restaurant, with average food and high prices.
Pros: Beautiful clean rooms, very gentle staff and amazing sea view.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, large choice, good quality food, very polite and friendly service
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: Management is rather indifferent. It world be great if they can be more sympathetic to the needs of travelling people
Pros: The room and the bathroom were very clean, check-in was easy, location was quite good - ten minute walk to the main square and old town. Very nice place for a stay in Triest. Paolo replied all open questions very quickly. We had a nice stay here in Triest :-)
Pros: Location; Great for us since I was attending school and needed to study. Also note it's maybe 10 minutes from center by walk, which is great to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room: 14m is very small to stay in, but since we where not staying much in it, it was fine and it comes with ac, always kept clean and tidy except for Wednesday (maybe the cleaner, does not work on day....but that's fine). Ac: did not work after 3 days, but we contacted Paolo and after 1 day he moved us to another room :) Paolo the host is easy to work with :)
Pros: I was a little sceptic because of the city's nature - it's a harbour town - completely needlessly. There are countless amazing places where you can just sit down for a couple of hours and feel the city's vibes. You can rent a bike and take a short trip to Miramar (it's just up to 20min on a bike). And what about the apartment? Brilliant, just brilliant!
Pros: We enjoyed the lovely room and the facility to cook a coffee or tea - and the women, who was cleaning the room is very nice and friendly.
Cons: I would appreciate to see the owner or somebody it is very impersonally
Pros: I was able to book the morning of, and they let me check-in early. I very much liked the room, the bed, and the modern bathroom (though I got water everywhere using the open shower). The staff made a great recommendation for a store to buy a decent but reasonably-priced suit. A supermarket just down the street, an easy walk to the train station, not difficult to walk to the sights. I would stay here again.
Cons: A few small things: I couldn't find where the breakfast was, but I also didn't ask. There was a crude but rather large covering on the wall near the floor covering some utility apparatus, sort-of-secured with some tape. The "front desk" was right outside my door and there were staff engaged in conversation close to 12AM that I could hear quite clearly, and I had to catch a very early train the next day.
Pros: It is a great place tp stay with excellent location. Triple room had one sofa bed which is not enough for an adult person. Also they have no options for leaving baggage after check out, so it is quite uncomfortable because you have to check out by 10 o’clock. Rest was ok.
Cons: Old style
Pros: Beautiful tall room. Good bed. Location close to train and bus station, not too far from the sights of Trieste centre. We can recommend the Miramare Castle, just a short train ride from Trieste, for beautiful architecture, nature, peace & quiet.
Cons: Very small fridge. Some street noise, but not too much to affect good night's sleep. Only paid parking in the close by parking house. Trieste itself turned out to be not our favourite Italian city. For some reason we could not even find a good restaurant, and the service was horribly slow on the places we ended up going to.

Cons: That there's no resturent in hotel
Pros: All good! Very good location but the staff are incredible.
Cons: I would prefer to have a water boiler in my room which was not possible.

Cons: The Toillet is outside of the room. It was never clean.
Pros: Kindness of the staff, central location and clean rooms!
Pros: Location was excellent, room comfortable and basic for superior room.
Cons: Breakfast poor, very basic hot food, can do a lot better on bread and eggs. Room 316 bathroom needs maintenance on shower recess, noisy fan and adjust sensor to 2 min not 15 min so sleep not disturbed.
Pros: The apartment was bery clean, the staff is really really kind (we came earlier, before check in time and they let us in the room), and they also have really good breakfast!
Cons: Everything was good.

Cons: The breakfast was modest and some pastries were not fresh.
Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful with a lot of things. He provided me with an Iron for my clothes. He also provided me with a parking for my car. I liked the room, the fact that was a smocking room and had a window with a nice view. The matress was comfortable and the toilet very clean. I will consider again this place in the future.
Pros: The location and particularly the hotel concierge outstandingly warm and helpful
Cons: All good
Pros: Good location, helpful and polite staff.
Cons: Tiny room, standard equipment. Grey colored furniture got the feeling like it was a prison.
With a stay at Urban Hotel Design in Trieste (Trieste City Centre), you'll be steps from Piazza di Cavana and Palazzo del Municipio. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Staff, location, mix of old & new and breakfast
Cons: no coffee machine or filled up mini-bar
Pros: The apartment was well kept up. Only problem is my mobile wouldn't work inside the appt if i wasn't close to the window. The breakfast was very good. Location top, close to everything.
Pros: Location of the hotel.
Cons: WAS RECEIVING EMAILS FROM THE HOTEL IN ORDER TO BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THEM BREAKFAST AT A CHEAPER RATE THE BREAKFAST MENU WAS NOT GOOD WENT TO BREAKFAST AT 9.00 (STARTED AT 8.30) PLATES EMPTY ON BUFFET AND YET VERY KEEN TO HAVE MY ROOM NO. The Parking was off the property even though they have in front of the hotel parking. Very noisy room, at night. Basically lack of customer service.
Cons: · One of the dirtiest rooms we ever stayed in, even after we brought to the attention of the staff no new room or cleaning was offered. Elevator was broken, staff didn't offer to help with luggage. Don't stay there in case y have dust allergies. On leaving, we asked again to speak to the manager and after reviewing the pictures she offered a 100 euro credit which we will never use. Free parking was offered online which is not provided. 1.50 euro per hour or park garage 1.70 with a 10% discount offered.
Pros: wonderful experience
Cons: everything was perfect!

Pros: - Very nice hotel, - clean rooms, - comfort beds, - free parking, which does not seem to be typical in Trieste - Location close to the sea. - Small shop in the next block or so. - Amazing view from the breakfast room.
Cons: - Breakfast was quite basic noticing this is 5-star hotel. We never get the omelet we ordered. - Location 3-4km from the city, which in practice needs driving, taxi or bus (I don't know if using public transportation if possible option) - If you are driving to the upper level of the parking place, be careful with the ramp. Our car's front bumber hit the ground on the ramp.
Pros: Nice staff. Perfect location for visiting Trieste, Carso and Slovenia
Located in Monfalcone, Europalace Hotel is a 1-minute drive from Isonzo and 9 minutes from Rilke Trail. Pros: Location and building features
Cons: Not a nice room. A bit sloppy service
Pros: The staff was generally helpful - the lady working the breakfast was especially friendly. The room was clean.
Cons: Water pressure was pathetically bad. The bed was too hard for our liking. Upon checking out, they insisted on charging 16EUR for my 2 year old's breakfast - he had a cup of yogurt.
Pros: Amazing staff! Very helpful. Thank you
Cons: The mattress could be better
Pros: Service Cleaning
Pros: Goid staf and good room
A stay at Nuovo Albergo Centro places you in the heart of Trieste, steps from Canal Grande di Trieste and 4 minutes by foot from Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: All great except one thing mentioned in 'didn't like' section
Cons: Not good noise isolation
Pros: Good location, peacefull neighborhood and secure.
Cons: Its not good that some rooms don't have a bathroom and they don't have rooms for four people.
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, central location, great breakfast and very good value. Brilliant place to stay.
Pros: The front staff at the Nuovo Albergo Cento Hotel were extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions. Our room was spacious, clean and a bathroom with an excellent hot shower. The breakfast was outstanding and for two American tourists we loved that the coffee was bottomless and good! The location was perfect....just a few blocks away from the bus/train station and in the other direction was the amazing Grand Canal and impressive main square. And....just a few steps around the corner to our favorite little pub; the Hop and Rock Craft Beer Bar. Salute!
Pros: Super clean hotel, fabulous breakfast and super central hotel
Cons: There was no vending machines inside the hotel
Pros: Great, chubby receptionist on the 5 star hotel level. Give him a rise in salary!
With a stay at Albergo Alla Posta in Trieste (Trieste City Centre), you'll be a 3-minute walk from Piazza Vittorio Veneto and 6 minutes by foot from Israelite Temple of Trieste. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
Pros: Cozy atmosphere, a fire place in the breakfast area, friendly receptionists
Pros: Great location and friendly staff; small but nicely fitted rooms, very good breakfast; great value for the money; will stay here again; cleanest sheets/towels of all time.
Pros: Location, breakfast
Cons: Rooms werent sound proof
Pros: Breakfast is amazing. Fireplace, everyone saying buon giorno, nice decor, and then there's the best buffer I've seen so far. If for anything, visit for the breakfast and don't miss it. And when you step outside, you're in the center of Trieste. Bus and train stations are right there. My room (single) was huge.
Cons: They always pre-authorize the credit card and you can't come in and pay upon arrival. But there's no option to pay for the booking at the time of online booking, you can simply make a reservation and then they do the rest. This is a bit troublesome, as in my case the pre-authorization didn't go through (for some reason) so they canceled the booking. Thankfully the reception was very pleasant about this. But this process needs improving.
Located in Monfalcone, Nuovo Albergo Operai is in the historical district, within a 15-minute drive of Duino Castle and Redipuglia War Memorial. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Monfalcone? This hotel has 646 square feet (60 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was amazing, really helpful and friendly. Also room was very big and clean. No problem with parking. Definitely worth visiting!
Cons: Breakfast could've been better - no hot options like scrambled eggs etc
Pros: Staff, staff, staff. All exceptional - professional and friendly, especially Bruno. Cleanliness of our (big) room and the common areas also 10 out of 10.
Pros: Big and clean room, new hotel, very comfortable
Pros: Friendly staff, nice breakfast. The room was very clean.
Cons: The hotel is a little bit far from the city center and train station. There is nothing much around. It was cold in the room (the good thing though, I got additional blanket when I asked for it).
Pros: Excellent for an overnight stay Very clean and helpful staff
Cons: No restaurant onsite
Pros: Hotel is completely new, the rooms - we had 2 rooms- were great with very large and comfortable bathroom. The bathroom size is significantly bigger then other bathrooms in Italy. Lovely ! Very nice and clean.Parking is great and safe with PIN code, in front of the Hotel, next to entrance, very convenient, wi fi is also good. The coffee for breakfast is LAVAZZA and it is great as well as variety of food offered for the breakfast. Again, special compliments for fresh fruits and local products and specialties from Italy like Mozzarella cheese and small sausages etc. The Hotel is ideal also for shopping due to 15-20 min drive to Palma Nova Outlet. The staff is very polite and at your service 00-24h, friendly and capable to provide you with all information that you might need. This area is also very well known to be national park.
Cons: We have no complains or dislikes, just few small suggestions for even higher rating- since the Hotel is already great- small details like "slippers for one time use" and "shower cap" for ladies should be provided in the room. Refrigerator was not installed yet, but there is a place left for it in the room, we really did not needed it. During the breakfast the lady in charged to be the Hostess was occupied with the coffee machine but also should also in the future be ready to refill what other guests have already eaten before you come to the Breakfast.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and a 24-hour front desk. Pros: Impressed by the hospitality of all the staff, parking in hotels garage was included at ni extra charge. Staff was genuinely interested in our wellbeing during our stay, a full thunbs up!
Pros: Returned to this hotel after spending a night here last year as well. Clean and comfortable, god breakfast.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, B&B Casa Sofia offers accommodation in San Pièr d’Isonzo, a 25-minute drive from Gorizia. Rooms at the bed and breakfast feature a flat-screen TV. The bathroom is either private or shared. Grado is a 30-minute drive from Casa Sofia, while Trieste is 45 km away.
Pros: Breakfast was great, no doubt. The owner is very, very nice, friendly and approachable. Rooms were spotless, immaculate.
Cons: We have had the bad luck of being there on a busy night, as the rooms are upstairs above a small restaurant, called "Osteria dentro e fora", which was full. The noise was unbearable, i have had to get downstairs and deal with the staff so they could do something about that. All in all, at about 0100 AM, the place got silent and we could rest. In the room we were staying, number 1, air con was missing, we did not have any fan, i guess is fair to say the temperature was over 30 degrees during the night. So, no sleep. I would suggest making sure there is a way to keep the environment cool, for after all it is no news the last few summers it got extremely hot in this part of Italy. We definitely appreciate the owner apologized for any discomfort one thousand times, and she was sincere. We understood the place has been open only a few month, so we guess some things will be improved in the future
Pros: The host was very nice and helpful. Inspire of not knowing our language she was taking effort in understanding us and helping us out.
Pros: Atmosphere in the evening especially. Wine and the pasta dish they cooked us.
Cons: The latter B of the name, the breakfast was nearly non-existent (also not ready at the agreed time). All we got was coffee, cake and biscuits. I realize that's a typical Italian home breakfast but when the place's name is "B&B" and when your guests are international, we're surely not the only ones who'd like a proper, healthy breakfast.
Pros: BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY :)
Cons: the place and the staff are nice
Pros: The atmosphere was really authentic with locals. We arrived late at night, but they welcomed us warmly (they dont speak english). The room and the bathroom was nice.
Cons: The breakfast was really poor. 2 joghurts, 2 slice of cake and coffee.
Pros: Very nice location and amazing people!
Pros: This B&B was one of the most pleasant experiences we had on our travels. We had an amazing room with a comfortable bed, a TV, a stereo, and even an indoor fireplace. The (personal) bathroom was huge and even contained a massage, jacuzzi-like bathtub for two. The hosts were very welcoming and although they do not speak a lot of English, communication worked perfectly. We had dinner at the osteria downstairs which is run by the owners of the B&B as well. The Spaghetti Vongole and fried fish and vegetables we had were authentically italian and really delicious - a great italian menu. For breakfast we were served homemade pies of our choice. All in all, we highly recommend the Casa Sofia for both its hospitality and its amazing food, especially in the integrated osteria.
Pros: The room was clean, but hot. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom which we were looking forward, but we couldn’t use it. Disappointing.
Cons: Stuff didn’t speak English, it was hard to communicate. Breakfast was just one cake and as my boyfriend doesn’t like sweet breakfast, he didn’t get anything.
A stay at Hotel Franz places you in the heart of Gradisca d'Isonzo, steps from Isonzo and a 2-minute drive from Marco Felluga. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and express check-in. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfast was very good!!!
Pros: The staff were always so kind and the rooms very clean and comfortable.
Pros: Clean rooms. Good service. Will come here next time again.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Pros: - super friendly staff - parking possibilities
Pros: Incredibly outgoing and helpful staff throughout the hotel were definitely the strongest asset, but modern rooms, easy parking, and nice breakfast buffet were also a bonus. Quiet hotel with all of the amenities, plus within a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
Pros: Quaet place and excellent location
Cons: Very small room, number 206.
Pros: Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff at the desk were extremely helpful, giving us maps and information to help with our stay. Great breakfast gave an excellent start to the day.
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like :)
