I originally wanted to stay in Calaiceite with my family (4) but the hotel there did not have the family room available. I looked at closed properties and I found Can Josep...What a find! Maria y Jose treated us like family and were patient with us and my 5 years old. We stayed here a Monday and we did the Green Way (la Via Verde) for 3 miles (5KM). It was spectacular. Josep rents the bikes and you ride over an old rail road, now paved. what a view and experience. The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic! Josep is a great cook and he has good wines as well. the selection of dishes is adequate. The rooms are good and comfortable. Josep also served as a guide and drove us from la Fontcalda to the Hotel. He gave us good advice about neighbor towns. If you are like me during a route through Pueblos Lindos in Spain!!! This stop is a must!! you won't regret it! AC was not set up due to the season change
1. The fact that I could not have breakfast before 08:30 am. 2. The poor sonorical insulation of the room: I could not sleep one night because of my neighbour snoring!
Breakfast - open late and very good spread. Sitting on the terrace watching golfers. The construction of the hotel makes it very noisy - corridors, scraping furnitues, alarm clocks in next room etc
the spa and the quietly area breakfast was poor
Nice location close to coast ,attractive building, good room ,excellent buffet breakfast , nice terrace restaurant with good food and wine , well looked after par 3 golf course As a hotel with extra facilities ie pool , sauna , treatment room , golf ,it is very good . if I had been looking for a spa break I would have been disappointed.
Quite location with excellant facilities, ideal for relaxation or excercise ,with friendly staff Needs a little more international language on sinage, menu's etc
Swimming and jacuzzi were good but water too cold. Unfortunately did not have time to experience the other treatments on offer.
We were really looking forward to staying here for one night on our tour around Spain. Totally dissapointed. It's basically in the middle of no where. Because of this we had to eat in their restaurant and it was totally overpriced, which you would'nt mind if it was good, but it was awful. After dinner we decided to have a drink in their bar, but found out that it was closed. 10.pm. Closed bar!!! I have never heard of that. Shabby hotel really. Looks nice from the outside but dissapointing.
Really lioked the spa facitities A very nice hotel, limited options on the evening meal menu, in fact we went out when we had wanted to dine in.
pool area some staff not friendly
Clean and comfortable with lovely views. We could not stay longer
