The staff going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Vila Ombak is a nice hotel at Gili Trawangan with really good service, a fantastic breakfastbuffet, nice accomodation and the best location! I was sick for a few days and it was no problem to have the room cleaned at an other time. At night there's security at the hotelgrounds. Although I couldn't enjoy my holiday at Gili because my illness, I enjoyed the hotelroom fully. When we arrived they hadn't received our booking yet. It was a long wait (which could have been longer if we hadn't asked for a different room that was already cleaned!) and not the best service-moment, but it was worth it.
Large territory, nice garden, big swimming pool, live music in hotel bar that goes down at around 10 pm so if you like to go to bed that time there is nothing to disturb you Annoying thing is that the bathroom is on the gromun floor once the room is on the 1-st floor. The stair is quite tough especially for the night time. Light is poor. A few mosquitos.
Nice surroundings, excellent breakfast, near the beach, big swimming pool Internet is free of charge, but when we went to the internet café the employee said it was 50.000 rp or that we should buy some drinks. When we went back to the reception we heard that it was not the truth.
The location was good if you are into the night life scene. Pools seemed a bit dirty, they were salt water as was the water in the sinks and shower and it took a long time (like 30 min sometimes) to get a drink at the pool bar.
The room as comfortable and the pool was nice. We found the food quite expensive and also the drink. The local beer was twice the price in the hotel. The place is a little dead at night and this comment applies to our experience of Lombok but it feels like they have over capacity for the amount of tourists that actually visit and there is a consequently a ghost town feel about the place. I wouldn't recommend Lombok as a holiday destination personally but the hotel is fine.
Nice beach, which wasn't overly busy and crawling with people. The locals on the beach weren't too pushy and enjoyed talking with the tourists. Rooms and beds are of a good size. Breakfast is excellent. Nice grounds. Short taxi ride to Sengiggi township . Disappointed the non-smoking oceanview rooms were the beneath units of a 2 level building and therefore the oceanview could only be glimpsed on tip toes through trees. Hotel onsite restaurants/bars had excessive markup on meals and drinks. Despite advertising having 3-4 restaurants these weren't open concurrently and therefore you were limited for lunch choices. To use the internet was expensive and had expiry restrictions. Phoned the laundry almost daily, when servicing the room they seemed to take towels but not replace them.
Good deal for such a nice place.. And Nice swimming pool Just a little thing about the payment, where price was shown in USD,then when payment, it's converted into IDR instead of USD..though it was not a bad rate,it's just abit more to pay when u need to pay with credit card in neither of the currency..
Pool was dirty
Everything really, staff are particularly helpful, the complex is lovely. No
I enjoyed the calm, relaxed ambiance of the hotel. The staff, the rooms: perfect! The location was excellent, close to the center of Senggigi. The beach was very calm and so peacefull.
The location is beautiful, and as yet unspoiled by mass tourism - this is likely to change, however, with the opening of the new international airport. Beach is very clean, which can never be taken for granted in this part of the world. The pool villas were very nice, and the staff friendly. We had booked "superior" rooms originally. These smelled of mould and were simply awful. The building was also very noisy and we were woken in the morning by slammering doors and loud children. Fortunately, we could upgrade (at additional cost) the following morning. Even though the staff were friendly, service in the restaurants was erratic and we frequently did not get everything we ordered - even though our orders were always repeated by the waiter Everything was very overpriced, compared to the general price level in Indonesia, and the quality of the food in the restaurants (including breakfast) was average, at best.
Good buffet dinner, nice beach, good SPA, long happy hour:) Too many local children alowed to be on the hotel beach.
The Villa(No.404) with a small pool for villas occupants. This old hotel uses precious tropical trees for the furniture, etc, which would be impossible to produce nowadays even for 5 star hotels. The hotel compound are crisscrossed with concrete rectangular steppping stones in the sand which are badly lit and dangerous(once I peeled off the a toe-nail).
The hotel is located on a beautiful and lonely beach. There's fairly no infrastructure around the hotel, so you have to stay most of the time in the resort. The prices are above European standards, which is inappropriate for Indonesia.
the welcoming staff and the fantastic location
