10.0 Excellent
Pros: Suhka is in a wonderful quiet location which is what we were looking for in accommodation. The owners Mareka and Valet were so helpful and made our stay delightful. This was the only place where we stayed in a 2 week trip in Estonia that offered dinner which was a tribute to home cooking, delicious and so well presented. Anyone booking is advised to contact Mareka if they want to eat on the first night and indeed any other night.
Cons: Not applicable

Pros: A great place, lost somewhere between forests and hills. Wonderful owners. Rooms clean and comfortable and around the quiet and beautiful nature.very tasty breakfast prepared for a specific, agreed time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where do I begin...we loved the off- the- beaten- track feel, the peaceful nature setting, the welcome we felt from Marijke, the owner. The rustic homey feel. The fresh sun and wind-dried towels. The lovingly prepared breakfast. If you’re into saunas, there are 3 types, we just have to come back in the winter do some cross country skiing and to fully enjoy those saunas. Thank you again Marijke ( don’t know if name spelled right) we loved our stay and hope to return one day.
Cons: Can’t think of a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design of acomodation is extremely cosy. It kind of represents the wish most of our ancestors would like to have lived. Romantic, pure nature, very clean!
Cons: I couldnt find any...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stopped here for just one night and a breakfast on the way to our final destination point in West Estonia. It's a unique place where you may feel the warmest ever hospitality of the hosts. In the evening we were asked about the time of the breakfast, and it was served generously in time. A cosy accommodation for a very reasonable price. A road to this place through the winter forests is an extra attraction to experience!
Cons: The bathrooms are in the corridor, but we weren't expecting luxury conditions in the farm house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the super nice people running the place and providing an excellent staying experience! The facilities were very nice and truly country style. It was very nice to sit near the fireplace in the evening and have a cup of natural tea. The included breakfast was very rich and tasty! The stay exceeded all my expectations! Very good value for the money. :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cozy farmhouse in a lush green area. Very relaxing, nice walks and lakes around. Great hosts! Breakfast was rich and delicious. Nice barbecue outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was incredible. One morning I had to wake up at 5am in the morning and was told not to worry - the breakfast will be ready and it was indeed. You need to appreciate that this place is rather remote and gives you a good glimpse of how the farm life may have been 100years ago. It's very clear and the hosts are super friendly. Was even invited to a sauna with local farmers in the evening. The price per night is very affordable as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy authentic country house with very nice hosts.
Cons: Please note that it’s located far from the main road and it’s a real rally road which is leading to the hotel. Be prepared :) Note for travelers who carry kids on board. There are no facilities adapted for babies. No high chair or a crib.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of this accommodation was excellent, in the middle of nowhere and completely unique. Our host was wonderful and welcoming we really felt at home. The accommodation is very traditional and in someways old fashioned but that is definitely part of the charm. You can get away from it all here and really relax. Breakfast was amazing all home made and more than you can possibly finish.
Cons: There were a few flies in the room, the road to the property is very bumpy and I can imagine muddy during wet weather.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best place to stay overnight before entering Russia by car - the border is just 5 minutes away.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place! :) Great breakfast!
Cons: The only thing wat was not comfortable is the room where there was not normal wardrobe or shelves especially if going for skiing when you’re having a lot of this stuff. But it was not critical at all :))
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All is good, nice location, wonderful landscapes. Free tea and water cooler in hall on second floor.
Cons: Well, place in the room where we could put our stuff were limited with small cabinet for clothes and small (one) bed side table, which is definitely not enough for two persons. Small proposal for room N2, if possible put 2-3 hangers (clothes hook) near entrance, same additional 2-3 hangers and shelf under mirror in bathroom, some stools and small table near the window. And it will be super cool. Thank you!
9.5 Excellent

Pros: I was surprised. That place was very nicely done. Everything new and nice. Quite big room and nice to see old wood restored. Good to have dinner in the same house. Good breakfast.
Cons: On the room there was no table to but your laptop on or write a paper. On bathroom there where nowhere to but your toothbrush and other washing bottles. Otherwise nice place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful, we had wine on a small common balcony, and a nice walk around. Comfortable room, bathroom is big enough. Excellent breakfast. In short, we loved it, and will stay there again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Rogosi Manor Guesthouse - Ruusmäe - Building
4
8.7 Excellent (225 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Surrounded by the lakes, hills and forests of the Haanja Nature Reserve, this 400-year-old manor in Southern Estonia was turned into a modern guesthouse with an integrated training and wellness centre. Rogosi Manor offers traditional Estonian dishes, which you can enjoy in the ambience of the historic manor atmosphere. The rooms at Rogosi Manor are simply furnished, but with attention to detail, as evidenced by the racks from the manor's small carpentry. The rooms have no TVs or radios to let you enjoy a quiet, undisturbed stay. The original natural landscape of Southern Estonia and the big distance to larger cities make a stay in this historical building from the 17th century something very special. The surrounding landscape, close to the Latvian and Russian borders, is lightly populated and offers many cultural and natural sights. A unique attraction is the Suur munamägi, at 318 metres the highest “mountain” in the Baltics. The lakes are ideal for swimming and fishing. There are many hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding area. Cross-country skiing is available in the nearby Haanja ski centre.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice and cosy rooms, fresh and tasty breakfast. Very nice attitude from the host!
Cons: Not so good sound isolation in the rooms.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location for traveling in the area.
Cons: Very, very basic. Do not wait some special historical feeling. Just bed to sleep.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All what you should expect from a guesthouse for a budget price.
Cons: Furniture and bathroom could use some update
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Interesting place with a unique atmosphere - old manor with accommodation facilities on the second floor of one part of the building. The room was cosy, warm and clean. The beds are comfortable. TV set is the the common living rooms. Bathrooms are shared, but as we were the only guests, all the bathrooms were just for us. The host was very friendly, he served us breakfast in the morning and later showed us museum of the history of the mansion and the area (in the same building). Home breakfast was good! I am sure the place is even lovelier in the spring and summer time, and we would love to come back.
Cons: It was a bit tricky to find the host when we arrived - we could see the light in some windows of the mansion, but no one opened any of the numerous doors we rang or knocked at...So we had to beep the horn of our car to attract attention, I hope we did not disturb or frightened anyone :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and nice Manor. Good place to stay for business travel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very kind.
Cons: Weak sound insulation in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good place to stay overnight in this region, primitive, but cozy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for a night on our way to the Russian border, and were very impressed by warm welcome and hospitality, even though we were late (after midnight). It's rare to see a delicious homemade breakfast in a hotel - it was perfect. Also, it's not every day to have a whole manor for yourself and imagine being a landlord)
Cons: Google doesn't know the correct location of this hotel - we almost missed it. Follow the road signs.
