The buildings, rooms and poool are great Some detalis are not expectable for a supposed 5 star hotel, for example very poor quality bath linen and breakfast
Beautiful hotel, great facilitiites, welcome and helpful staff non
good food, helpfull staff, serenity
Very elegant surroundings, comfortable and relaxing. Excellent restaurant. Beautiful location on wine-growing estate.
Helpful staff, beautiful rooms, large pool, great place to relax
The view was good The water in the bathroom was not hot. The room was a bit small for a 5 star hotel. It did not seem like an old abbey
Staying at the Relais Santa Anastasia was a wonderful experience. Magnificent views of mountains and ocean; excellent architectural and designer restoration of a historic thousand year old building; quality workmenship of rooms and buildings; large swimming pool overlooking mountain valley and ocean beyond; excellent restaurant; scenic location among olive groves and vineyards; absolute tranquility. We liked the entire facility.
Excellent staff. The manager was extremely helpful. A little expensive for us.
Superb location, beautiful views. Very quiet. Very comfortable rooms Food very expensive
no sign on outside of building. The Fish restaurent under bridge does not take credit cards
I picked this hotel after consulting other comments by Tripadvisor members and were quite pleased. Service was friendly and punctual. The rooms have a contemporary art style, and the common areas were tidy and artistic decorated. There is also a relaxing Hammam, which is large enough for several people, but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Breakfast had a variety of Sicilian sweets, cheeses and a large selection of very fresh fruits. It was delicious. We had helpful service for our entire stay from the staff, When we arrived, they show us how everything worked and then took us through the whole hotel to point everything out. We also had a tour through the art rooms with a prepared English speaking guide. nothing at all, I really enjoyed my time
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was damp and musty smelling, and the toilet leaked. The hotel building seemed to be in very poor condition.
Consiglio questo posto a tutti. no comment
I just returned to Canada, but want to let you know how much I enjoyed my two nights at Atelier sul Mare. The room and view were beautiful, food was excellent, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The owner of the hotel is an artist and that I have had the fortune to meet. Congratulations for this excellent art venture." nothing to say
Wonderful sunrise and sunset from the sea view balcony. The art work in in the standard rooms adds an interesting touch.Nice quiet location although not a lot to do in the town. Room not cleaned when we arrived at 5.00pm. Other guests who arrived later had same experience. Everyone smokes- there were cigarette butts in the ashtray even though we asked for a non-smoking room. Not a lot of privacy on the balconies and our neighbour smoked. There was a large noisy dog on the terrace above our room. Limited choice of food in the restaurant and quite expensive. This hotel would suit those who don't mind laid back service.
The hotel was fantastic, just a jump from the beach. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and the personal service was excellent. My room was beautiful, with all the comforts that a customer can ask. I stayed in the art room Pasolini, an incredible emotion, I have really lived in a magic place. I have a wonderful stay in this hotel, I will be back. Everything was just perfect
Nice and really interesting hotel. perfect location overlooking the sea, small beach in front. Helpfull staff, we were able to look at different rooms and to change after one night. A real experience to live in an art room (but not always practical- that's part of the experience)- the "normal rooms" are nice as well.
Amazing concept, good location, excellent breakfast and certainly a different hotel experience from the norm!
Extraordinary rooms... Almost defies description. Very relaxing... except at weekends. Nice breakfast and the owner is a really nice guy! A working hotel.... building from 8am! Cleaning done late and not to a good standard. Sheets only changed after 6 days when we asked...
The quite large room was overlooking the beach and the sea, which was very nice. The air coming from the airco smelt quite bad, mouldy, we had to turn it off. The breakfast was very limited. The staff was not that friendly.
the place was clean, and the staff very friendly
Casale Villa Raino is a place for those who want to experience the "real Sicily" and enjoy the countryside. The hotel is ecofriendly, the food prepared and served by Aldo and his family is marvellous and plenty. The family is very hospitable and communicative. Large swimming pool, beautiful views. The place was renovated some time ago and the rooms and area could benefit from a little contemporary restyling of those renovations (without touching on the beautiful antique furniture, items or building). On weekends (Sunday) the pool is also open to guests who do not stay at the hotel, and therefore less quiet - just good to know.
This was just an experience of a lifetime. The owners were so giving and helpful, it was like as if you were welcomed into their family! Tip: stay at the hotel for dinner- it is amazing!!! Just don't eat for a day beforehand. Just one slight thing - we did not have air con in our room. Nevertheless we coped.
The room was very good, the owner a delightfull person, a very good swimming pool, and a wonderful place to rest.
