If you book a room in this hotel, do not eat in town, but stay in the hotel ! The chef prepares a great diner, menu or a la carte.
The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly, the resturaunt was wonderful!
silence, location , the park with river near the hotel , good breakfast we take 2 rooms , 1 room was perfect and the other room the cleanroom put a wool blanket and at night it was cold outside and i asked a heavy blanket , i asked from the reception and they brought to me a one blanket without sheet cover on it ' the next day i asked from the reception to change the blanket and it didn't happended . only the last day the cleanroom brought the couple blanket after i asked from her personally.
Staff excellent, attentive and helpful. Personified by Alain Rosenzuey.
The welcome was very good, the hotel and room were very well appointed and the food was excellent
Room was large, bed comfortable. Excellent restaurant attached with good selection of wines. Good English spoken. Bathroom basic but perfectly adequate. Somewhat quaint, largely wooden interior design gave the room a slight 'Tyrolean' feel. Our room was above the kitchens and there was some general noise from equipment operating there, but fortunately not later in the evening though. Some families with children were a bit noisy in the morning. All in all we felt it was a touch expensive for what it was.
Excellent staff in restaurant and lobby. Despite some staff had problems to speek English they were able to call colleagues that were fluent in English. I also like large room and sitting corner in the room + large bathroom+ extra towels for spa packed in a nice bag. The corners around the bath were full of black mildew ( I assume due to wet environment and insufficient cleaning). Information leaflets in the room were in French and English version was missing.
Great family room, good pool and excellent food Breakfast was expensive - we walked 5 mins into town and went to a local cafe / patisserie instead
it was a dream to be there, fantastic in all, especially in staff and cleanless
The staff were most helpful and our room was very comfortable.Breakfast was excellent and good value. We only stayed one night but the hotel would make a good touring base
We used the the Deybach Hotel for an overnight stay and found it very pleasant, clean and comfortable and just a short walk through the park into Munster. The owner was very helpful.
We loved staying at Logis Deybach! The couple that runs the hotel is very friendly and helpfull. An excellent place to be!
This is a thoroughly properly run hotel in an excellent location to tour Alsace. It is very easy to find and access. It says 2 stars but in many respects (particularly the room, which is of course the most important thing) I would rate it as worth 3 stars. Much better value than one of the well known hotel chains in this price range. You also get the feeling that the owners really do care about getting everything right and are genuinely friendly. As a Logis inspected place you experience the benefits of their 500 point checklist. This traditionally run hotel is very hard to fault. It does everything it says on the label.
The hotel is a quiet place. Very good sxervicies. Excellent hotel staff. Cleanliness was questionable. I had the same towels an entire week!
They were pet friendly. They were also able to provide a baby cot and had high chairs in breakfast room. The bathroom in our room was appalling, there was a foul smell of mold. It was so bad we avoided using it and did not use the shower. We had booked the Studio room as it was supposed to have a kitchenette. There was a sink and microwave but no utensils, not even a glass or cup.
Not the big luxury, but small price was ok Needs a bit of refurbishing
Excellent Value, Friendly Staff, Good location
The room was fantastic for a family, small kitchenette, nice view, very clean pool, games for the kids, very comfortable ambience. good deal for the dinner buffet. Very enjoyable stay in a nice town close to the wine route. We would have liked to stay longer. One of the beds in the room had a very bad spring, the other beds were either too soft or too hard. The kids didn't care. Need to ask the hotel before arrival if you will want to use the kitchenette so that they will provide utensils and plates. We had to wait one night before we could get the stuff.
The Grand Hotel benefits from a good situation amid a wonderful environment, but it needs some critical evaluation by its management: our room was not really tidy and the sheets were torn. Breakfast was not good: bread rolls were not daily fresh, only 1 choice of meat, only 1 choice of cheese (herb cheese) and the eggs were frozen. Not a good publicity for their restaurant, where we didn't have dinner because of that bad breakfast.
Swimmingpool in the garden. Small kitchen in the rooms - at least we used the fridge. Breakfast in what looked like a 'school cantina' - noicy, not much to chose from at breakfast - too expensive. The bedrooms was like dorms with bunkbeds. Hard to find a good restaurant in the neighbourhood.
Good dinner menu for very good prices. practical apartment with kitchen we can use. Difficult to communicate if you do not know french - good there was one staff who can understand and talk english a bit. We expected to live in a hotel room and not in an apartment outside the hotel but it is ok.
The room for four was very clean with a nice sized bathroom. Also the family that ran the Inn was very friendly and helpful. Only one member of the family spoke English well, and very few of the tavern customers spoke much English, but everyone was very nice. The town of Munster was very pretty and quaint, so it was worth visiting the town, especially to see the many storks that reside on the roof tops! The Saturday open market in the town square was also great to see. There were many locals that came to the bar/restaurant, so it seemed a very popular place. There was no air conditioning, not even a fan to move the air in the room(we asked for one but they did not have any). This forced us to have to keep our street-side window open all night, and thus the street noise, weekend bar patrons and the summer heat made it difficult to sleep. It seemed odd to us that the heat was something that the hotel was not prepared to deal with. We are sure that a visit to this hotel is much more comfortable during the spring and fall, but we would not recommend a summer stay unless the owners can provide some relief from the heat. We thought that the 8 Euro per person continental breakfast was overpriced, so we ate elsewhere.
The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms are adequate for city or shopping trips. The situation is very good close to shops and restaurants.
near a trainstation and a lot of possebilitys to cycle and walking
Very clean and very cosy. Very quiet. The staff was very polite and helpful. Easy to find a parking place. Near the village center. Everything was fine. No problem at all.
